Ice and Water

With Natsu

Natsu flipped with the force of Velveno's kick, quickly flipping over several branches that he threatened to smash into. The fiery Dragonslayer's eyes flashed upwards, trying to focus on Velveno as he neared the ground only to see an orange blur moving towards him. Natsu grit his teeth, raising his guard to block another punch by Velveno only the punch to smash through his guard. The Dragonslayer was forced to the ground, grunting as he bounced along the ground. With a shout he flipped to his feet, eyes snapping to Velveno's position.

"Well this looks like it'll be easy," Velveno muttered.

Natsu frowned, rolling his shoulder.

"So you're Velveno huh? Gajeel talked about you."

"Oh what did he say?"

"Don't remember," Natsu stated.

Velveno's eyes twitched. The man quickly dug into his pants pocket, pulling out a knife.

"You'll regret disrespecting me like that you brat."

With that Velveno blurred forwards, knife moving at Natsu's throat only for the teen to bathe himself in fire, forcing Velveno to back away. Natsu grinned at the response.

"You move pretty fast. But at the end of the day you have to touch me. Keeping these flames up doesn't tire me out," Natsu muttered. With that he let loose.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!"

Velveno dodged the attack, blurring around Natsu to get behind him before he dashed forwards once again in an attempt to stab the pinkette. Natsu turned just in time to stop the knife from impacting into his kidney, instead stabbing into his stomach. The teen grit his teeth, ignoring the blood leaking from his body to fire off a punch at Velveno's head. The man managed to avoid it however, ducking underneath the punch and dashing away with knife in hand. From the wince on his face he was clearly unable to escape unscathed however, burn marks covering his hands.

Natsu snarled, putting his hand on his stomach wound to cauterize the injury. The teen's eyes snapped to Velveno, the man throwing the knife to the ground with a wince. The metal was likely too hot for him to hold.

"Fire burn?"

"Tch, I shouldn't have played around. Next time I'll go for the throat."

Velveno blurred forwards once more, his punch smashing into Natsu's stomach. The teen bent with the blow, wheezing. The dark magic capitalized, reaching upwards to smash his fist into Natsu's throat. The Dragonslayer dropped to the ground, wheezing and coughing as he tried to regain his breath. Velveno smirked, flexing his hand to ignore the pain from the flames.

"Like I said, for the throat."

The gloating did not last long as an explosion of flame swirled from Natsu, forcing Velveno backwards. Before the man had any time to react tendrils of flame spiralled from the epicenter, the waves setting the ground ablaze.

"Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!"

Velveno grit his teeth, ducking underneath the blaze, only for his eyes to widen as a rush of fire came to greet him. In a blur he was gone, away from the blaze, only able to watch as Natsu slowly rose.

"That won't be enough," the teen choked out, coughing in the middle of the sentence.

"I see," Velveno stated. "My speed can't take you down by itself. You're too durable. No death by a million cuts then, I'll just blow you away."

Natsu's eyes widened as Darkness Magic formed in front of Velveno, the man grinning. Then a massive beam of Darkness Magic shot towards the teen, only for Natsu to reach out with his hands, catching the beam. The two forces struggled against each other briefly, sparks of energy touching the ground and tearing cracks into it only for Natsu to heave the attack upwards into the sky.

"What?"

Natsu grinned.

"If that's all you've got you're not gonna win this."

With that Natsu took to the offensive, jets of flame forming at his elbows, shoulders and feet as he surged forwards. The teen was a meteor, blazing forwards at incredible speeds and leaving a trail of flame in his wake. Still, it wasn't enough to reach Velveno, the man ducking underneath Natsu's punch and dashing away. Natsu pursued, his trail of flame failing to gain any ground on Velveno. If anything that gap was increasing.

Velveno clapped his hands together, slowly pulling them apart to reveal a sphere of Darkness Magic. With a roar he sent it towards Natsu only for the teen to punch right through it, an explosion rippling forth and stopping his momentum. Velveno shot backwards, putting more distance between the two. His eyes narrowed as the smoke from the explosion cleared, revealing Natsu standing there, unhurt.

"That's ridiculous."

"If this is all the firepower you've got," Natsu muttered. "Then it isn't enough!"

With that Natsu moved forwards again, Velveno keeping his distance with ease.

'I can still outpace him thanks to Racer's magic. But the Darkness Magic of Ivan has no effect! Is he really above my copy limit?' The man shook his head at the thought, flipping onto a tree branch before he launched himself deeper into the woods. 'That firepower of his has to decrease eventually. I can use the trees to slow him, and when the time is right finish him with the Darkness Magic. He shouldn't be able to move as linearly with all the-'

Velveno was irritated. Trees suddenly started collapsing to the ground, the Dragonslayer smashing through them with reckless abandon. The S-class mage frowned, clapping his hands together.

'Fine. The last magic I've got. It should do something.'

Velveno smashed his hands onto the ground, smirking as the ground churned as though it were a liquid. The ground swept upwards towards Natsu, the teen's eyes widening as the liquid ground wrapped around his ankles and waist. The assault snuffed out his fire before it smashed him into the ground, only for it to swirl around him once more, covering the teen's body in a wave before the ground settled.

"Tch, annoying brat. Made me utilize all three of my copies. If I hadn't copied Hoteye's magic this could have been a troublesome fight for me. Fairy Tail mages are this powerful?" The man glanced at the unmarked grave in the forest. "Buried alive is a bad way to go though."

Velveno turned, walking away. He idly noticed the ground felt warm, beneath his feet but he still kept moving. He had places to be. So he kept walking. Walking until the ground actually started to burn. The man winced, leaping onto a tree branch to look at the ground, eyes narrow as he saw the waves of heat coming from it.

"Of course he isn't dead."

The ground erupted in an explosion of fire and dirt, revealing Natsu staring at Velveno, dirt covering his form. White flame swirled around him, blanketing the surrounding environment.

"Like I said," Natsu hissed. "Gonna have to try harder than that."

Velveno didn't bother responding, sending a beam of Darkness Magic at Natsu. The teen snarled, dispersing it with his hands only for his eyes to widen as he saw Velveno no longer on the tree branch. The Dragonslayer glanced around him until he heard a crack, turning his head just in time to see Velveno smash his fist against Natsu's temple, sending the teen stumbling backwards. Velveno didn't slow his assault, coating his hands in Darkness Magic before he smashed punch after punch int Natsu's body, small explosions of magic rippling from every blow.

Natsu snarled, blood leaking from a busted lip before he let loose an explosion of fire that forced Velveno away.

"Why can't I hit you! Jet's fast, and I can still hit him. Naruto's fast and I can still hit him!"

"As if I would tell you," Velveno muttered, blitzing forwards once more. Natsu snarled, the waves of fire forcing Velveno back lest he get burned. The Dragonslayer shot forwards at the opportunity, jets of flame behind him to bolster his speed once more.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"

Velveno's eyes snapped upwards, leaping away from the punch just before it connected. Natsu's blow smashed into the ground blowing it apart.

'If I had been hit by that...this kid has some ridiculous firepower.'

Velveno formed a handsign, the ground around Natsu liquifying and moving to rush him only for the teen to drop onto his back and spin, tendrils of flame following his feet that rose to meet the waves of liquid earth.

"Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!"

The flames and earth met, pushing against each other before they detonated, the shockwave blowing smaller rocks into the air. Natsu didn't bother waiting for the shockwave to settle though, raising his arms as flames surged around him.

'I can't reach him directly. But that's fine. What if he can't move in the surrounding area at all? Fire Dragon's Roasting Bath!'

The Dragonslayer brought his hands down, flames spreading across the ground to cover the entirety of the surrounding area in flame. Trees, plants, and the ground burned with a vengeance as Natsu stared at Velveno like a demon in hell. Velveno grit his teeth, quickly transforming the ground into liquid to allow him a platform to stand on, although he had to keep the platform rotating so fire did not spread onto it.

"You're stuck there," Natsu hissed. "Fire Dragon's Roar!"

Velveno grit his teeth, forming an orb of Darkness Magic in his hands before he launched it.

"Darkness Blast."

The two attacks met, detonating in a violent explosion. Natsu grit his teeth, using his jets of flame to fight against the shockwave of the attack before he launched himself towards Velveno. The man grit his teeth, raising the flaming, liquified ground to block Natsu only for the teen to easily slip by it, appearing at the side of Velveno. Natsu roared, launching a barrage of punches towards his head that Velveno deftly dodged with his head movement. Natsu snarled at the action, spinning in midair as the jets of flame exploded outwards to increase his turning speed. His leg swung forwards, white flame surrounding it only for Velveno to duck underneath the attack. Natsu wasn't done yet however, using his jets once more to blast his body into vertical rotation, bringing down his flaming leg in a heel drop. Velveno stared upwards at the attack, quickly raising liquid earth to form a protective dome around him.

The dome detonated as Natsu's leg made contact with the it, blowing Velveno away as burns covered his body. The man landed on the burning ground, hissing as the flames licked at his skin. He rushed to his feet only to see Natsu blurring towards him. The man dodged Natsu's hand by a hair, instead raising his knee to smash into Natsu's stomach. Velveno grit his teeth as he pushed his body to move despite the burning sensation of the flames all around him to spin, smashing a foot into Natsu's chin and sending him flying away. The teen righted himself in midair, before he swung his arms inwards as though he was doing a giant bearhug. Flames from the surrounding area collapsed inwards, threatening to burn Velveno to a crisp. The man formed orbs of Darkness Magic, the orbs shooting outwards in a wide circle before detonating, blowing the flame away.

Natsu snarled, releasing another gout of flame to repopulate the area before he shot inwards once more. This time Velveno was better prepared, blasting away from Natsu to escape the fire trap. Natsu paused before he left his self-made prison, staring at Velveno.

"You can't fight me straight up. All you're gonna do at this rate is prolong the inevitable."

"Shut up," Velveno muttered. "You're not as strong as you think."

"Then why can't you hurt me. You've tried burying me alive, stabbing me, and hitting me with Darkness Magic. Nothings worked. Sooner or later you just have to be willing to admit that you don't have the ability to actually harm me. Not at your level. S-class mage or not."

Velveno clenched his hand, irritation forming on his face as he stared at Natsu.

"You damn brat," Velveno hissed. "You think that just because you have some fucking fire you can beat me? I'm fucking Velveno Berubeno. I'm the greatest drug lord on Fiore! I'm an S-class dark mage! And you think some A-class brat like you can beat me?" Velveno snarled, magic leaking from him like a faucet. The inky energy bled into the ground, causing the earth itself to begin to rumble. The ground churned, turning to liquified earth at Velveno's very thought. The man snarled, eyes blazing with rage as he stared at Natsu.

"I'm gonna fucking kill you."

With Team C

Doriate snarled as the storm of attacks neared him, smashing into his body. Gray's saucer of ice was barely caught by the demon's massive hands. With a grunt of strength the demon shattered the ice, the demon turning his attention to the torrent of water and electricity that neared him. With a snarl Doriate leapt away from the two attacks, the spells smashing into the ground. He smirked, looking up at the trio only for Gray to slam a hand on the ground.

"Ice Erosion: First Winter!"

The massive storm of ice spears shot from the ground, causing Doriate's eyes to widen. The rain itself contributed to the attack, Gray's magic turning it into ice as it threatened to skewer him. The demon leapt away from the attack, but wasn't fast enough to avoid all of it, smaller, faster spears piercing his legs. Doriate broke the pieces of ice, landing with a grunt only for his eyes to widen as he saw Gray leap towards him from the block of ice. The demon ducked underneath Gray's punch, turning to look at the teen. The second Gray touched the ground a storm of ice sprang towards Doriate, more spikes threatening to skewer him. Doriate grunted dashing to the side only to see Levy standing there, hand extended.

"Solid Script: Discharge!"

Doriate screamed as electricity coursed through his body, the bolt of energy making him shake. Just as the attack ended Juvia appeared before him, water from the ground and sky swirling around her.

"Water Cyclone!"

A surge of water smashed into Doriate, smashing him against the sides of the spikes Gray had created. Doriate groaned, slumping to the ground underneath the force of the trio's attacks. The trio stared at him, attacks at the ready to see if the man would rise only for them all to wince as a horrifying screech filled the air. The trio grapped the ears, only for their eyes to widen as they noticed their bodies beginning to shrink once again. They were not the only ones affected as in the distance a bolt of lightning suddenly fell to the ground.

The trio's eyes widened as the transformation was complete, looking up to stare at Doriate who towered over them once again.

"You little shits should have finished me off when you had the chance," Doriate hissed. "Cause you won't get another one."

Gray frowned, staring at Doriate, instantly feeling the harmful effects of Ice Erosion. The man raised his arm, sighing as he noticed how slowly it was moving already.

"Juvia, Levy, I'm gonna need a lot more help this time. My Ice Erosion spell, it freezes my body at the benefit of more power. I can control the temperature management as an adult, but with this depowered form it'll be like I get progressively worse frostbite."

"Understood," Levy stated. "We'll do our best."

"Same strategy as before," Juvia questioned. "He should be hurt as well so it may be more effective."

"He also got stronger," Gray muttered. The ice mage frowned, glancing around. He still had all of the ice he had created to work with to manipulate. His offensive output should be increased in this state as well. He just had to finish the fight quick.

"Juvia, he can't physically harm you. Can you distract him?"

"Yes."

"Good. Levy you assist as good as possible."

"Are you three done strategizing," Doriate called. The demon grinned. "Good. Now it's time to die!"

Doriate roared, charging the group only for Juvia to rush out to meet him in her childlike body. Doriate snarled, batting her away only for liquid to be sent flying. Doriate snarled, irritated at the girls ability to transform her body into water. He moved to attack Levy only for water to swirl around his ankles. The demon winced, blood dripping from his body and onto the ground before he broke through the binding. The delay was just enough time for Levy to sneak in, the girl thrusting her hands forwards at Doriate.

"Solid Script: Gale!"

The burst of wind from the word made Doriate stumble backwards, but the wind simply wasn't strong enough to send him flying. The demon was far too powerful for that. Doriate snarled as the gale ended, rushing forwards to smash his fist into Levy's small frame. The girl heaved, the force of the blow sending her flying into a nearby tree. Doriate snarled, looking for Gray only to be unable to locate the ice mage. He did not have time to find him as a jet of water smashed into his back.

The demon turned, glaring at Juvia. He stomped forwards, parting the water with ease before he batted her away once more, the irritation in his eyes growing as he saw her body break apart into water droplets. The demon stomped over to the water, smashing his fist down upon it over and over again, roaring out in rage as he saw the water simply spread.

"Die! Die you human wench!"

The ground rocked with each blow, cracks forming along it until a gout of fire sizzled off of Doriate's back. The demon hissed, turning to see Levy standing there, a hand on her rib. She was bleeding from the mouth and clearly in bad shape, but she was still capable of fighting. Doriate snarled, his eyes going red with rage as he rushed the girl. Levy ducked, barely escaping his outstretched hand to slide underneath his legs. She raised her hands, the word Hammer appearing before her. The word dropped into her hand and she swung, smashing it against Doriate's back, only for it to break upon contact.

Doriate turned, glaring down at the girl.

"Did you think that would work?"

The demon swung his fist, smashing it into Levy. The girl skipped across the ground, her momentum only stopping as she smashed against a tree. Levy coughed, blood spilling onto the ground in front of her. Doriate smiled, stomping towards the girl.

"You dumb little shit," he hissed. "Do you think my magic is for show? Law of Retrogression doesn't work like that! You can't harm me. Your lose the ability to control magic as you previously could. I actively dampen your abilities."

Doriate towered over the girl, fists raised to smash her into a paste.

"You looking like a child is just a benefit. It's more enjoyable."

Levy shivered, cowering before the man. The girl curled into a ball, eyes desperately looking for anything that could save her. Juvia was still a puddle of water, and Gray was nowhere to be found. Her magic was ineffective against him. What was there for her to do? She had nothing. This was an S-class dark mage. What was she thinking, believing that she could beat him even with help? Gray had said he hadn't been able to touch him before and and she still thought that with her, Juvia, and Eve fighting him they could win? Look where that had gotten them. Eve was dead. And soon she would be too.

"Ah there it is! That terrified look of children, the fear on their faces. Older people just can't replicate that! Now, die!"

Levy cowered, raising her arms above her head to stop the inevitable, only for a gigantic spear of ice to shoot forwards, ripping through Doriate's arm and sending him flying from the force. Levy turned, shock on her face to see Gray standing behind the giant construct, breathing heavily as steam slowly wafted off of his body.

"Even with me just manipulating the ice...that took a lot more energy than I thought it would."

Gray dropped to his knees, slowly regulating his temperature so as to allow the thin ice sheet on his body to melt off of him.

"Gray," Levy shouted, rushing over to the ice mage. Gray raised his hand, taking deep breathes.

"Wait. Need to regulate body temperature. It takes time."

Levy slowly nodded, turning to look at the surrounding area. Juvia was slowly reforming, likely tired from the amount of magic she was expending to do so. With her abilities depleted as Doriate had said it was likely difficult for her to do consistently. She was smaller than normal, like a child.

Levy's eyes snapped to attention, whirling to look at the ice spear. At the end she could see him, freeing himself from the ice, even if he was missing an entire arm. He had clearly been hurt by the attack. His magic hurt their ability to generate elements and use their full offensive abilities. It similarly made some spells incapable of use lest they drain themselves completely of magic, but if the elements already existed it only slightly dampened their ability to manipulate them. That slight decrease hadn't been enough to stop Gray from creating the massive attack. And it should have worked.

But Doriate was stumbled towards them, blood trickling from the small portion of the wound that wasn't covered in ice. His mouth dripped blood as well, and from the stumbling he was doing he clearly wasn't in good shape.

But he was up.

"He's not down!"

Gray and Juvia snapped to attention, staring at Doriate with shock and concern. The two tried to stand but stumbled, clearly incapable of putting forth an effort right now. Levy grimaced. It was on her to defend them until they were rested. She couldn't handle him before, but maybe now with him being so seriously hurt? No, what was she thinking! She needed to stall. If Gray and Juvia got back on their feet they could finish this with another one of Gray's titanic attacks. With a determined look she marched forwards to meet the demon, clenching her fists as she did so.

Time.

All she needed was time.

With Ichiya and Elfman

Kafuchi had taken only two people to stay to engage him in battle as an insult. And he did not take kindly to insults. Immediately two black viscous substances launched towards Elfman and Ichiya, the two leaping away to avoid the attack. The liquid smashed against the ground, cracking it before the snake like appendages retreat. Ichiya frowned, drawing a vile of perfume and popping it, his body covered in a pink aura as the scent wafted towards Kafuchi.

"Pain Perfume!"

Kafuchi snarled, using his snakes to blow the perfume away in a violent gale of wind. Ichiya's eyes widened at his attack being so easily negated. Kafuchi grinned, launching his duo of snakes at Ichiya only for Elfman to appear in front of him once more, the snakes smashing against his scaled skin. The snakes pushed against Elfman, slowly pushing him back.

"Move," Elfman muttered, gritting his teeth as the grooves in the ground deepened at his resistance. Ichiya nodded, dashing to the side and pulling out another vile.

"Poison Perfume!"

Kafuchi glanced at the attack, rolling his eyes at the blandness of it. A third snake shot from another black spot on his clothing, ripping a tree from the ground and throwing it at Ichiya. The tree smashed through the perfume, nearly slamming into Ichiya if he didn't dodge it at the last second. Kafuchi rolled his eyes.

"Ichiya," Elfman roared, grabbing at the snakes and struggling to avoid them attempting to wrap around him. Kafuchi turned to focus on him, his third snake swirling around and smashing into Elfman's head. The attack stunned the mage long enough for the snakes to completely wrap around him, throwing him at a nearby tree that he smashed through.

"Are you both truly this weak? How disappointing. I have no use for weaklings."

Ichiya grit his teeth, popping two viles of perfume.

"You have countered what we have thrown at you thus far. But it is not everything. We, the handsome devils of our guilds, shall defeat you!" The perfume wafted into his nose, his body giving off a vague blue glow before he grinned. He pointed at Kafuchi, the blue aura brightening.

"Justice Thunder Men!"

A bolt of electricity fired from Ichiya's fingers directly at Kafuchi, causing the man's eyes to widen. All three of the snakes swirled in front of him to form a protective sphere but it wasn't enough, the bolt blasting through the snakes and smashing directly into his chest. Kafuchi cried out as he was sent flying backwards, careening through a pair of trees before he stopped. Ichiya posed.

"Men."

Elfman slowly stood, fading out of his Lizardman form. The teen jogged over to Ichiya, scratching the back of his head.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't that helpful."

"That is fine young Elfman! He had us both cornered! I merely used one of my more useful perfume's to take him down before the fight grew more desperate!"

"Take me down," came the call. The duo turned, surprised to see Kafuchi standing once more, a faint trickle of blood falling from his mouth. "You damn weaklings think you can beat me?"

The three snakes materialized again shooting forth as a black aura leaked off of Kafuchi. The two light mages tried to ready themselves but were too slow to react. Two snakes smashed into Elfman, smashing him through the forest before another smashed into Ichiya, batting him to the side. Ichiya rolled with the blow, drawing another perfume as the three snakes turned to him. The snakes shot forwards, only for Ichiya to pop the vile and enhale, his body glowing a faint orange. He ducked underneath the first snake before bursting into a sprint. Kafuchi's eyes widened at the speed but reacted nonetheless, sending the trio of snakes at him. Ichiya flipped over one, before slipping underneath the other. Kafuchi snarled, the third coming down for an overhead strike only for Ichiya to disappear in another burst of speed. The S-class mage appeared in front of the dark mage, fist in front of his face. With a roar Ichiya launched his punch only for Kafuchi to catch the blow with his own hand. With a snarl he smashed his fist into Ichiya's stomach, keeling him over before Kafuchi's knee rose up to meet him. His head snapped backwards, blood flying from his mouth before the snakes reached their target once more, binding Ichiya before smashing him into the ground repeatedly.

Elfman arrived back on the scene to see Ichiya repeatedly being slammed against the ground, his face covered in his own blood. The teen snarled, rushing forwards as hsi body transformed into a Weretiger. He lunged forwards at the snakes, slashing at their bodies to free Ichiya. While the man dropped Elfman had left himself open, the snakes smashing into his stomach. Without the added protection of his Lizardman form the teen dropped, spittle flying from his mouth. Kafuchi grinned as another snake raised itself above Elfman before smashing itself down on top of him. Elfman cratered into the ground, blood flying from his mouth.

Ichiya stumbled to his feet upon seeing Elfman be struck down, another vile finding its way to his hand.

"You are strong, but I shall match that. Power Perfume!"

The man inhaled, a pink and purple aura swirling around him before his tuxedo - bar the pants - shredded to pieces. The man's body grew, his muscles bulging at every action. The man roared, charging forwards. With his increased speed only two of Kafuchi's snakes could reach him in time, but with his enhanced strength he tore through them like tissue paper. Ichiya smashed a punch into Kafuchi's stomach, bending him over. Kafuchi coughed, stumbling backwards as his vision swam. Ichiya wasn't done however, snapping his knee up to straighten Kafuchi upwards before his fist flew forth, landing a devastating liver blow that sent blood flying from the dark mage's mouth.

Kafuchi stumbled backwards, his momentum stopped only by a tree as his body seized. The man weakly raised his arm at Ichiya, his snakes swarming towards the mage. Ichiya snarled, batting two of the snakes away from him with ease only for the third to wrap around his legs and drag him away. Ichiya groaned, digging his fingers into the ground to stop the movement. It wasn't enough however, his fingers digging grooves into the soil as he was dragged away only for the other two snakes to appear, wrapping his arms up. Ichiya snarled, his muscles bulging but failing to free him.

"You bastard," Kafuchi snarled, eyes glowing with power as he stared at the S-class mage. "You truly though you could defeat me. Me! You will suffer for that!"

Kafuchi leapt forwards, smashing his foot into Ichiya's face. The man grunted, but otherwise didn't react. Kafuchi didn't slow down, slamming punch after punch into Ichiya's face until his nose began to bleed. Blood from Ichiya's face began to pool on the ground as the blows continued to connect. Kafuchi roared in rage at every blow, blood dripping from his knuckles as his skin ripped from the repeated blows. It only stopped when a clawed hand laid itself on his arm.

"What?"

"Move," Elfman hissed in his Weretiger form. The teen swung his arm, his claws shredding into Kafuchi and sending him flying away, blood trickling down from his chest. Ichiya groaned as his body hit the ground. Elfman glanced at the mage but Ichiya waved him off, slowly standing to stare at Kafuchi, his body unsteady. His mouth on the other hand was not.

"Do you see now Marmalade? No matter who it is, one of us will always rise up to strike you down. You will fall before us. It is inevitable. We shall show you a gentlemen's power. Men!"

Kafuchi snarled, a black aura leaking from his body before his magic power flooded forth. The aura was oppressive, weighing on Elfman's and Ichiya's shoulders like they were underwater. For a moment it felt like neither could breathe. Elfman grunted, his face slowly falling as he dropped to a knee under the oppressive weight. The man was so powerful. Was this an S-class mage? A mage who used to be a guild master? What was he thinking believing he could defeat him in straight combat? This was an S-class. What was he? Some mage who couldn't even use his full potential because he was afraid?

Elfman brought an arm down, barely able to hold his body weight up underneath the pressure only for his wounds to feel lighter. As though they no longer existed. The pressure on his body began to lift, and suddenly he could breathe again. He looked upwards, glancing at the strange blue colored perfume floating around him.

"Pain Relieving Perfume," Ichiya stated, smirking. "It should heal your wounds and rejuvinate you. It won't get you back to top form but, it can give you the energy required to fight against a monster of this caliber. You cannot fall yet Elfman. You have yet to show me your magnificent Beast Soul!"

Elfman slowly stood, nodding his ascent. A small smile formed on his face. This was it. This was why Naruto and Sasuke had insisted they fight as a group. Individually he stood no chance of defeating Kafuchi and winning. But with Ichiya? He had a chance. And a chance was all a man needed to do what he previously thought was impossible!

"Right!" Elfman roared, his body switching over to his Lizardman from. "You handle the attacks with the muscle form of yours. And then I'll handle the defense! We'll take him down together, like a pair of men!"

"Men!" Ichiya roared.

"Enough strategizing," Kafuchi hissed, his three snakes swirling around him protectively. They lurched forwards.

"Die!"

With Sherry and Lyon

Sherry frowned as her tree doll was destroyed again. Zash had torn through it like paper, trying to close the distance on the duo. As he neared the ground erupted with ice, spears threatening to skewer him. The man leapt into the air, plummeting towards them with magic coalescing in his hand. Lyon smashed his hands together, the ice spears forming a protective dome around the duo of Blue Pegasus mages. Upon contact with the blow the world erupted in a bright red light. The detonation sent a shockwave of force throughout the area.

Zash landed on the ground, staring at the dome. His eyes narrowed, irritation in his eyes building as he realized he had only caused spiderweb cracks to form along the structure rather than breaking it in its entirety. Lyon let the dome drop in the form of a multitude of ice shards, his eyes locking with Zash's unabashed. Zash's left eye twitched at the insult. How dare he look so confidently at him? Did he truly think he wasn't a threat without his magic?

Lyon meanwhile clenched his fists, magic channeling throughout them.

"Make another tree doll."

"It hasn't worked. He's torn through all of my dolls like tissue paper."

"The mud dolls can't do any lasting damage to him. The tree dolls can at least hurt him if they land an attack."

The two had no further time to deliberate as Zash rushed them once more, his body leaving a trail of displaced dirt and rock in his wake. Lyon's hands flashed forwards, two pufferfish made of ice flying towards Zash. The man snarled, smashing them both into shards of ice with a punch only for the shards of ice to fly towards him like needles. Zash's eyes widened, protecting his vital areas and dashing towards the duo as needles stabbed into his skin.

The man dashed forwards, reaching the duo. Lyon barely dodged his fist punch, and had to make a shield of ice to block the follow-up. The shield was destroyed from the sheer force of the blow, but it didn't reach the ice mage. Lyon snarled, punching out at Zash. The man dodged the threat, grabbing Lyon's wrist and smashing his knee into his stomach. Lyon keeled over, spittle flying from his mouth. With a wince his eyes flashed with power, his spittle transforming into ice and flying upwards towards Zash's face. The man leaned backwards, avoiding the attack. The movement gave Lyon room to operate, smashing his palm against Zash's chest. A storm of ice swirled around Zash, trapping his body in a cage of sorts. Lyon grinned, only for it to promptly disappear as a gout of Zash's magic shattered the prison with relative ease.

Lyon grit his teeth, swinging his arms downwards as ice froze over the ground. He swung his arms upwards, dozens of miniature blades of ice swirling towards Zash. Despite the close range the man dodged the attack as best as he could, avoiding any vital areas and letting the rest of his body get hit. Zash's arm shot forwards, grabbing Lyon's shirt. He pulled him in, his fist smashing into Lyon's stomach. This time a combination of blood and spittle shot from his mouth, but Zash was not going to give him the opportunity to use it. His elbow snapped forwards, cracking against Lyon's temple. The man stumbled, his vision swimming. Just as Zash was about to spear his arm out towards his neck he was sent flying from a tree trunk.

Zash flipped in midair, eyes narrowing as he saw another tree doll staring down at him. Sherry was underneath it, her eyes locked on Zash.

"How many times do I have to destroy this thing before you realize you're useless," Zash hissed. He blurred into action, only for the tree dolls to fire off logs of trees at him. The man skipped backwards, eyes widening as he saw the logs crater into the ground.

"That's new."

"There's more than that," Sherry muttered. The tree doll roared, before it's roots started to spear up at Zash. The man's eyes widened, narrowly dodging the attack before he leapt backwards.

"You bitch," he hissed.

"Mind how you speak to a lady," Sherry muttered, the tree roots spearing towards him once again. Zash roared, shooting his arms out to cut the roots before he dashed forwards once more. The doll launched its logs once more, only this time Zash leapt directly through them, punching them into splinters. The doll swung it's arms at Zash, slamming him in between them only for Zash to push them apart with a show of brute force. The man snarled, dashing at Sherry instead of the doll.

"I'll just remove you from the equation! That'll get rid of the damn doll!"

His advance was halted by two dragons of ice shooting towards him from either side of Sherry. His eyes widened but he was too slow to react. Each clamped down on his arms, drawing blood before they slammed him into the ground and forced him further away from the girl. Lyon stared him down, still on shaky legs.

"Not gonna happen."

Zash saw red, ripping his arms free of the dragons. The dragons roared, diving at him only for two kicks to shatter each of them, ice raining to the ground around him. Lyon frowned.

"You're gonna die," Zash hissed. "I'm sick of playing these games with you two."

The two braced themselves as Zash thundered forwards, his eyes glowing an ominous red. The man shot his arm forwards, only for a wall of earth to rise in front of him. The man's arm speared through the defensive structure, but it stopped his momentum. Zash turned, eyes widening as he saw Jura and Mirajane burst through the brush at the two of them. The red glow in his eyes brightened for a flash, but not a second to soon an earthen wall was in front of the duo, stopping the mind control technique.

"That won't work again."

"How are you free," Zash roared. "This makes no sense!"

"Your magic isn't unstoppable," Lyon stated. "It seems they also found a way to counter your technique. And with them here, you don't stand a chance at victory."

"Bastards," Zash hissed. "You think you can beat me just because you have some fucking numbers advantage?"

"Zash Caine," came the call from Jura. "I've heard of you. You're in the most wanted files in the Magic Council. Zash Caine, former Fiore Secretary of State. Charged with Black Magic in a failed attempt to overthrow the Fiore Royal Family. I'd say, based on your previous track record, we have a great chance at victory."

"They got lucky that Barakiel was there," Zash hissed. "Besides, you're missing my new title. Slayer of the Magic Council."

"It will be the last one added to your mantle."

"Not anytime soon," Zash muttered. "I will rule Fiore. You cannot stop me."

"There's too many of us here Zash. You're going to be stopped."

"No," the man stated. With a roar he brought his fist down, a cloud of dust rising into the air. Jura's eyes narrowed, grasping the dust and smoothering it to the ground using his magic only to see that Zash had disappeared.

"He ran," Sherry questioned.

"Too many elite mages here. He's a smart guy he knows he couldn't beat us all at once," Jura stated. Mirajane frowned, dropping out of her Satan Soul form to glance at the duo.

"Where should we go?"

"I imagine that's up to Hibiki. I do remember where there base of operations is however. It would do well for us to head there until he gets into contact with them," Jura stated.

"Works fine with us," Lyon muttered. Sherry nodded, her doll collapsing to the ground in a large thud as the group sprinted towards the next location.

With Team C

Levy was running out of time. Doriate, injured severely or not, was no push over. Doriate leapt at her again, a savage look on his face. She slipped underneath the blow. Her face contorted into one of shock as the demon's fist smashed into the ground, cracking it. He turned to glare at her, uncaring of the serious wounds he had. He charged forwards, his blood dropping onto the ground as he reached out for her. Levy backpeddled, barely managing to stay out of the man's range. He roared, magic flooding his leg before he shot forwards like a bullet. Levy's eyes widened as the sudden increase, unprepared for the move. Doriate's hand wrapped around the young girl's throat. He roared, slamming her into the ground.

The girl gasped, only for air to fail to reach her body. Her vision began to blur, the face of Doriate the only thing she could see.

"You're going to die you little bitch," he hissed.

Levy clawed at his arm, desperate to stop the attack. It wasn't working. She was only leaving light scratches on his arm, nothing that would force him away from her. The girl grimaced, clasping her hands together underneath his arm to make sure he could not see her movements. Then with a flash of light, there was an arrow in her hands. She thrusted upwards, desperate to pierce Doriate. In her position she didn't have much leverage to work with, and lacked the raw strength to pierce it deeply into his torso.

So she aimed upwards.

The weapon gouged into Doriate's eye, making the demon stumble backwards. He cried out in pain and outrage, grasping at his face. Levy scrambled away from him in the moment, gasping for air. Her eyes locked onto him wildly, like an prey fearing a predator. She was aware that in a straight fight, even now, there was no way she could defeat him. But she could wound him. Make it difficult. Hopefully that would be enough to let Juvia and Gray get involved once more. If she could do that, she could win. Doriate whirled to glare at her. A bestial shout left his mouth as he ripped the arrow from his eye socket, leaving a mess of twisted flesh and blood in the wound.

"You fucking Fairy Tail mages. So desperate to live. Children aren't supposed to put up this much of a fight damn it!"

"You're just some fantasizing sick bastard. You're going to fall here," Levy stated. The girl glanced at Juvia and Gray, clenching her fists. She remembered Eve, the boy who for all intents and purposes was nothing more than a nice flirt. And he was dead. Because of this man.

"No," Levy muttered, determination filling her eyes. "You're going to die here."

Doriate clenched his fist, the arrow inside of it snapping in two in the process. "Tough words brat. Too bad it'll never happen!"

The demon charged, only to stumble on his first few steps. Levy capitalized, snapping her hands together. The word Electricity snapped in front of her, shooting forwards. Doriate howled as electricity coursed through his veins, his body convulsing. Levy wiped the water out of her face from the rain, confusion on her face.

"That wasn't as effective before. He's weakening. He can barely keep his balance with the injuries he has."

The girl smiled to herself, sprinting forwards. She could take advantage of this. Take out his other eye and he would be helpless! Even with his magic there was no way he could beat her blind, much less all three of them. She created the word Arrow, the weapon dropping into her hand. She leapt up, thrusting the arrow forwards at the recovering demon.

There was a flash and the next thing she knew Levy was on the ground, her stomach flaring with pain. She heaved, desperate to bring oxygen into her lungs. Doriate snarled, lowering his extended arm.

"Damn bitch," he hissed. He stomped downwards on Levy's arm, causing the girl to scream in pain. It felt like her arm was being smashed into a paste. Her hand loosened, the arrow falling out. Doriate grabbed the weapon, snarling as he looked down at the girl. Levy was wildly beating on his leg, attempting to free her arm. It was a waste. The demon grinned, his sharp teeth in combination with his wounds making him look like the devil himself.

"You tried to blind me..."

Doriate jabbed the arrow downwards, roaring with sadistic laughter as the weapon gouged into Levy. The girl screamed. It was a scream of desperation. A cry for help. But most important it was a scream of despair.

Doriate howled as into the rain clouds above, letting the water soak both of them. He turned to look down on the girl again, pleased with his handiwork. He let go of her arm, grinning as he heard her whimper. Her arms went up to her face, blood and water filling her hands. Tears cascaded down one side of her face, and the other, blood. The very act of crying caused her agonizing pain.

The girl reached towards the blind spot, grabbing the thing. With a blood curdling cry of agony she wrenched it out. The arrow of her own creation dropped to the ground to her side, covered in blood. Levy whimpered, folding herself into a small ball, her sobbing echoing throughout the battlefield. One side of her vision, wavy with tears. The other filled with nothingness.

"Now look who else has one eye bitch," Doriate hissed. The man laughed, stomping towards her. He picked up the arrow once more, grinning as he looked over her small frame.

"Now, where to next?"

"Hell."

Doriate turned only for his body to suddenly be assaulted by water from all angles. He gasped, sucking water into his lungs. The man scrambled, but the bubble of water was too large. His eyes turned to look at Juvia, the girl looking at him with murder in her eyes.

"You hurt Juvia's friend," Juvia muttered. "You hurt Juvia's guild member. Juvia will never forgive you!"

Doriate tried to respond, but water just rushed into his mouth. His eyes grew as his magic power swirled inside of him before it violently erupted, blasting the water away from him. He dropped to the ground, retching the water from his mouth. Or he tried to. Juvia clasped her hands together, desperately trying to keep the water in his lungs.

Doriate's eyes locked onto her, a wild look in them. She was trying to drown him? He rushed forwards, smashing a fist through her body, only for water to splatter onto the ground. He frowned. There was that annoying water body again. The man took his arm, smashing it into the girl's body once more until she was nothing more than a puddle of water. He smiled as the water stuck in his body was ejected through his mouth. He placed a hand on the ground briefly, gasping in precious air.

"You two bitches almost killed me," Doriate stated. He glanced upwards to see Juvia reforming in front of him. The girl was panting. He smiled. She was getting tired. Was there a limit to how many times she could transform into that water body? He was desperate to find out. He leapt forwards, smashing into her once again. And once again she splattered like water to the ground. The cycle continued, Juvia reforming and trying to launch an attack only for Doriate to smash into her a watery paste before she got the opportunity. Slowly but surely the girl slowed. Her body reforming took longer. Her breathes deeper.

Until eventually when Doriate smashed a punch into her body she didn't turn into water. The girl flew backwards, blood flying from her mouth as she smashed into a nearby tree. Doriate grinned, stomping over to the girl.

"You have a limit," he hissed. The man smashed another punch down at the girl, satisfaction filling him as he felt her bones crack under the force. She was weak. The man grinned, grasping her throat with his hand. His grin became perverse, his eyes filling with glee as he watched her desperately cling to life. She tried all she could. Clawing at his arm, bringing the rain down on his body in the form of needles. Nothing worked. He was too determined. He would not stumble here like he did with the other blue haired girl. She died now.

Juvia could tell it was hopeless. There was nothing she could do anymore. She was tired. Transforming into that water body took a significant amount of energy from her in this form. She had thought she could maintain it but she had been wrong. She had done well. So had Levy. They had managed to hurt him. Tire him out. Maybe Gray could finish the job? That was all she could hope for. He could kill Doriate, take Levy and go heal.

The girl's arms fell to her sides. She stared up at the sky, ignoring the beast that was grinning above her. The rain kept falling. Showering the ground. It seemed like it would never stop. The girl frowned, tears filling her eyes. She was born with rain and she would die with it. Of course her brief time in Fairy Tail, in the sun, wouldn't last forever. She was a rain woman. She always was. A gloomy rain woman. Her vision began to darken, and through it all the girl smiled. The darkness, it felt like she was in a storm cloud. Like a raindrop.

'Farewell, gloomy me'.

Doriate grinned.

A hand touched his shoulder and ice flooded the area. Doriate howled, leaping away from Juvia. The man broke the ice on his body, shivering from the sudden change in temperature. He turned, whirling to see Gray standing next to Juvia, a hard look on his face. The sheet of ice covering his skin had cracks in it, and the boy seemed to be shivering despite his cold resistance. He breathed out and a frost covered the ground before him.

"You're not killing anyone else," Gray stated. "This is the end for you."

"Oh yeah! Who the hell decided that you fucker?"

"I did," Gray stated. The teen in a boy's body stared hard at Doriate. The demon was rushing him, his face wild. The situation felt similar. For a second, Gray saw Deliora rushing him instead of Doriate, the rage on the beasts face identical. Gray frowned. Ur had died fighting against Deliora. The demon had almost come back on Galuna Island. Here, Eve had already died and Levy was in terrible shape. He would not leave Doriate any chance to come back.

'No one else is going to die. I'm going to protect them! I'm not weak anymore!'

Gray opened his hands, bracing for Doriate. The ice around his body that he had manipulated began to swirl upwards onto him, further cracking his skin.

'I only have one shot at this. I'm already way over the limit for Ice Erosion. I can feel the ice crystals forming in my blood.'

Doriate reached out to smash his fist into Gray's chest. The boy took the blow, blood spilling from his mouth. Still Gray hung on, manipulating the ice to bind his body to Doriate's fist like a glove. Doriate's eyes widened as the sudden action. Gray reached forwards, slapping his hand onto the ice that covered Doriate's shoulder. The ice that stopped blood from spilling out of his body like a faucet due to the missing appendage.

'I don't need power. Cold. All I need is cold. Cold!'

Gray shouted in effort, a blazing blue light surrounding the duo. The light filled the area, and the temperature continued to drop. Gray's cry accompanied the light, the cry sounding more desperate as it went on.

The boy shouted.

"Ice Erosion: Frostbite!"

Gray was quiet as the light dimmed. The teen slowly opened his eyes, smiling as he realized he was in his fully grown body. He shattered the ice that held him to Doriate, dropping to the ground with a pant. He briefly admired his handiwork, smiling as he saw Doriate standing completely still. In the same position he was in when the attack started. Gray smiled, raising his fist. He had to make sure. With a grunt he smashed his fist into Doriate, knocking him over. The man's body stayed in the same position as he fell until he made contact with the ground, shattering like glass upon contact.

Gray smiled. It was down. The teen breathed out deeply, slightly rushing his warming process. He had to, or the same thing he had done to Doriate would happen to him. Ice Erosion required him to drop his body temperature to better utilize his Arctic Magic. The coldness allowed him to make his attacks stronger, but it came at a time limit. The temperature his body was at was not meant for humans. And he couldn't sustain it, even with the training Ur gave him to resist the cold. If he stayed in the form for more than five minutes ice crystals would begin forming in his tissue. If he stayed in the form too long he could die. He had simply accelerated the process by dropping the temperature severely on Doriate.

Blisters formed on his skin, causing the teen to hiss. He had perhaps acted to careless in his rewarming process. He tried to manage all the ice crystals in his body to mitigate the damage. He had focused primarily so as to not damage his cell membranes. He was successful, but the speed of the operation had caused vasospasm. A mild case, luckily. He had cut it close. If had acted later, or had sped up his rewarming process more than usual he could have died. The man glanced upwards, frowning as he noticed the rain had stopped. The clouds were clearing before him, sunlight beginning to creep through.

Juvia stared at Gray, watching as sunlight bathed him. The teen stood before her, his back to her as he sighed. Juvia watched him turn to face her, a look of worry on his face. But Juvia was unconcerned. The sunlight bathed his body and for a moment Juvia saw nothing else in the entire world.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes..." Juvia whispered, slowly getting to her feet. Her eyes never left Gray's face. The teen placed a hand on her shoulder.

"You know your chest is barely moving right. Please remember to breathe. You were just strangled."

"Right," Juvia whispered breathlessly again. She did as instructed, breathing deeper. Gray smiled, before he turned around, rushing to assist Levy. The girl was still sobbing on the ground in pain. Juvia snapped out of her daze, rushing over to help Levy.

But she would never forget that look. It was frozen in her brain like a picture. Gray staring down at her, sunlight bathing him.

A savior.

With Shin and Midnight

Shin frowned, blitzing away from the hail of blades sent his way. The man turned, firing off bolts of energy at Midnight only for them to be repelled towards the ground, detonating upon contact. Shin frowned, cracking his knuckles as he looked at Midnight.

"You're way more annoying than I thought. Those blades of yours stop me from getting in to close, even with my speed. They're no danger to me if I'm trying to dodge, but clsoing the distance is more difficult than I anticpated."

"It's because you're weak," Midnight muttered. "You can't hurt me. We've been at this stalemate for a while now. It's time I ended it."

"Oh really," Shin stated, a smile forming on his face. The magic aura around his body slimmed, basically hugging his skin. "You think you just decide when this is over you bastard? You're a bigger piece of a shit than I thought."

"I don't care about the opinions of weaklings," Midnight muttered, raising a hand only for his eyes to widen. His magic flared as explosions detonated around him. While the attack did not reach him it did get his attention.

"Azuma."

"Yo," Azuma exclaimed, a smile on his face. "I believe you and I have unfinished business."

"Oi," Shin exclaimed. "What the hell are you doing butting into my fight? I want him to myself!"

"Sorry," Azuma stated. "Like I said back at the meeting point, I've already fought him. The way our last fight ended was...unsatisfactory."

"I happen to agree," Midnight muttered. "I have no desire to face this weakling anyway. Making you suffer instead sounds much more enjoyable."

"As you can see you've been dismissed Shin," Azuma stated. "Go find another member to fight."

The man clenched his fist, glaring at the duo. For a moment it looked like he wouldn't listen to either of them. He turned to face Azuma, staring hard at him.

"Make sure he pays for the crimes he's committed. I won't forgive you if you don't. I'll come back and kill you both myself."

Azuma raised an eyebrow at the request. Those were not the words of a light mage. What was his relationship with Midnight? What sins exactly had the teen committed? It was no concern of his, he just desired a battle, but he had to admit it was interesting. Azuma nodded.

Shin nodded back. "I saw two of them dash off after Cobra in the midst of our battle. I'll handle them. Good luck."

Shin blasted off, a streak of golden light in the sky.

Azuma smirked, the ground around him rumbling as his magic flared to life. Midnight smirked, eyes glowing with power.

"I won't be needing luck," Azuma muttered, and the two engaged.

With Erza

Erza dashed through the woodland, desperate to see any sign of Gray, Juvia, and Levy. Ever since she had left Hibiki she had no idea their exact location, just a general direction. She could only hope that they were where she was last told. And that they were still alive.

She leapt through the trees, coming across the damp and muddy ground. She frowned, her eyes glancing away from the sight of Eve's corpse in front of her. It was soaked in water, head twisted the wrong direction. The redhead walked over to him, brushing a hand over his face to close his eyes.

"Eve," she whispered. "I'm so sorry."

"Erza?"

The redhead turned, shock on her face to see Gray stumbling out of the forest, stark nude, carrying Levy. Juvia was next to him, somewhat clothed but clearly in pain. Erza's eyes widened and a hand went to her mouth in horror as she saw the wound's covering their body. But there was one in particular, the missing eye Levy had, that drove her to rage.

"Who did this?"

"Doriate," Gray stated. The teen shook his head at the thin red aura that covered Erza's body. "He's dead already. Killed him myself. Unfortunately, he got Eve in the battle. He almost got Levy and Juvia too. He almost got me."

"We are still around because Gray-sama saved us," Juvia whispered.

"I see," Erza stated, the aura surrounding her body fading. "I'm sorry that you had to go through that. I knew the battles would be challenging but..."

"It's okay," Gray stated. "I mean it's not, but no one could have prepared us for this. Like Naruto said, this is a dangerous mission. People could die. That was a reality we...we had to face."

Erza frowned, failing to find the words to express herself. Sure, she had seen people die before, but the impact of it never left. The casual way Gray talked about someone's death was unnerving. She swallowed her words, clenching her fist.

"Why didn't you call for Naruto's help," she whispered.

"The kunai he gave us got lost the second Doriate activated whatever that magic he used. Don't know where it went."

Erza nodded, slowly walking over to the group. She gently placed the Thunder God Kunai in Juvia's hands, her eyes on the ground.

"Use this to contact Naruto. He can take you to Wendy and get Levy help."

"Will do," Juvia stated. "What will you do?"

Erza turned, walking back towards where she came. Her eyes slowly lifted, filled with determination and rage. Eve had died. Levy was critically wounded. And this was all in the first engagement. These were people she was supposed to protect. It was her duty to as an S-class mage. Her mind drifted back to Cobra, Naruto, and Sasuke. The trio had all tried to tell her about what she would need if she needed to combat these monsters. But it was so much easier said than done. But seeing the damage just one of them had caused...

"I have people to protect," Erza muttered, before she disappeared in a burst of speed.

With Animus and Jellal

Animus frowned as Jellal pointed to the giant tree before them. The man sped forwards, throwing Jellal to the ground. The tree glowed a faint purple, chains from rocks ripping into it's bark. Animus smirked.

'I suppose the Nirvits would chain their magic like this.'

"Release it."

Jellal stumbled forwards, staring at the tree. Silently he raised a hand, placing it upon the bark of the titan. White light flashed to life, a shockwave blasting outwards. A pillar of magic shot into the sky like a beacon, ripping the ground asunder. Animus could only stare, a smile flickering to life on his face.

'Yes! This magic power! With this I can defeat him! I just need to get past Tartarus and I win!'

Tendrils of black magic swirled into the air, twirling around the pillar of magic like a dance. The ground shuddered under the force, before a structure began to rise from the ground. Animus grinned.

"It has begun," he whispered.

With Sasuke

The Uchiha's fists clenched as he sensed the massive source of magic had appeared, electricity crackling around his body. He smirked as he regained his full teenage body once more. His eyes flashed with power.

It was time to get to work.

And that's one Oracion Seis mage down. Doriate is dead. The first one to fall.

I would like to make something clear. All the S-class mages in this arc are not all the same strength. S-class, like A-class, is a general strength category. Some mages, both light and dark, are low tier S-class where there isn't really a giant gap between them and an elite A-class mage. Others, such as Animus, Naruto, Sasuke, or Jura, are so incredibly powerful that they officially would be listed as above S class, or an SS class.
