Mara and Icarus were traveling through Whispering Forest when they spotted a village over the river.

"Look!" Mara pointed. "It's Bell Village!"

"Home sweet home," Icarus murmured. Mara turned to Icarus with a puzzled look on her face and asked Icarus what he said.

"That's where I grew up," Icarus answered. "I was raised there by two loving Alalean parents."

"Your parents must be proud of what you've become," Mara chuckled.

The two steadily marched toward Bell Village and passed a couple of Magic Council soldiers who greeted them with a salute. The villagers stared awkwardly at the duo as they made their way into the village.

"Don't worry about them," Icarus stated as he noticed a worried Mara by his side. "They're not used to strangers."

Mara then breathed a sigh of relief as the duo continued walking. They eventually stopped at a large house with windows all around. Mara was surprised to see such a big house occupied by one single man, or so she thought. Icarus quickly opened the door and shouted, "I'm home!"

After that, a bunch of footsteps could be heard running down the stairs only to reveal three small children screaming, "Uncle Icky's back!" They all ran into Icarus's arms as he hugged them tight.

"Uncle?" Mara asked with a puzzled expression.

"These are my sister's kids," Icarus answered. Then, he turned to the kids and said, "Kids, this is Mara Stone. She's a friend I met on my adventure today."

They all exchanged their greetings as another set of footsteps made its way downstairs at a slower rate, which revealed a beautiful woman who appeared to be in her 30s followed by and older woman who appeared to be her mother. The two women approached Icarus and kissed him on the cheek and told them how much they missed him. They also noticed the armored lady with long, black hair standing before them and asked about her.

"My name is Mara Stone," the armored lady answered. "I'm currently on a quest to hunt down a powerful dark wizard, and I happened to run into this man along the way."

The young mother introduced herself as Icarus's sister, and the old woman introduced herself as the children's grandmother and Icarus's mother. The young mother noticed Mara's armor and claimed that she'd never seen anything like it. Mara responded with the fact that she commissioned it from a wandering smith in her hometown.

The women praised the craftsmanship and stated that Mara must've been very popular in order to get a commissioned piece from a wandering smith. Mara then blushed and accepted the praise from the two women.

"You know," Icarus added, "She's often revered as a saint in her hometown."

"Now that you mention it," the sister said, "Isn't she one who slayed the Minotaur by herself?"

"It was a tough battle," Mara answered, "but at least he won't bother anybody else."

The group engaged in even more conversations until they ultimately decided to have Mara stay for the night.

"Are you sure it's okay?" Mara asked with a surprised look on her face. "You don't even know me very well."

"No worries," the grandmother answered, "We love having guests over and learning about the outside world."

"Besides," Icarus's sister added, "You must be tired from fighting and traveling all the time."

"I've gotten used to it," Mara replied. "I've trained my body ever since I was a little girl."

"Uncle Icky," the children shouted, "we want to go outside."

Icarus smiled and nodded as he stood up from his chair.

"Can Miss Mara come, too?" one of the children asked, looking in Mara's direction.

The women giggled as Mara stated, "I don't mind going outside."

The children cheered as they ran out the door, followed by Icarus and Mara. Meanwhile, Icarus's sister and the grandmother begin to prepare a potato stew for dinner.
