Today started out like a repeat of the previous day. I woke up to the morning announcement, and headed towards the dining hall. As I did, Yamada's scream echoed throughout the area. I ran into the bathhouse and found him sobbing on the floor.
"Miss Maizono! You have to help me! Kirigiri is trying to kill meeeeee!"
Kirigiri breathed deeply. "I'm not trying to kill you, Yamada. I'm simply asking why you made the same mistake twice."
"Yamada... You-" I started to say.
"I'M SORRY MISS KIRIGIRI!" Yamada interrupted, his loud wails piercing my ears. "I tried, I really did. But I relented. I just-"
"Oh man, it's worse than I thought." Hagakure trudged into the bathhouse to see the commotion. "You've fallen in love."
"Of course not! I just-" Yamada stopped. His eyes widened. "Is this... love?"
"I knew it!" Hagakure cried confidently. "I once did a fortune reading for a CEO who had fallen in love with a mannequin. The look in his eyes... I saw the exact same look in your eyes just now!"
"Gh-!" Yamada choked.
Asahina walked in, her face turning red at the sight. "No way! That's so... weird!"
"Leave me alone!" Yamada cried. "I… I just wanted to hear her say 'master' one more time…"
"You are aware how creepy that sounds, right?" Hagakure said.
"Mr. Hagakure, your snide comments are unwarranted!" Yamada growled.
"Jeez, man! Why are you snapping at me?" Hagakure stared at him. "We're tryna help you, dude."
"Honestly, he's a lost cause at this point." Asahina shrugged.
"Speaking of lost causes…" Kirigiri sighed deeply and stared behind me.
Ishimaru strolled in confidently, a sly smirk on his face. "What'cha doin' with Alter Ego, dude?" He asked Yamada menacingly. "She belongs to me! As the medium that gave me my soul back!
Yamada scowled. "She's mine! We are forged in the Gordian knot of love!"
"Well, she and I were smelted in the white hot heat of friendship!" Ishimaru declared. "So BACK OFF!" He yelled loudly, causing Yamada to take a step back in fear.
"Is that a challenge, Mr. Ishimaru!?" Yamada growled menacingly.
"STOP IT! Both of you!" Kirigiri's words cut through the air like a knife. "Both of you are forbidden from using Alter Ego. If I have to come in here and drag you out, I will, and it will not be painless. Do I make myself clear?"
Yamada and Ishimaru grunted.
"I said, do I make myself clear?" Kirigiri spoke so fiercely I almost snapped to attention.
"Yes, ma'am." Ishimaru said. "A thousand apologies."
"Yes, Madame Kirigiri…" Yamada said timidly.
"Good. Now get out of here. All of you." Kirigiri commanded.
At once, everyone left and headed towards the dining hall. Once there, I immediately noticed that Junko was missing once again. I sighed deeply.
"You okay, Maizono?" Hagakure asked from next to me.
I jumped. "Ah! Sorry Hagakure, I didn't realise you were there."
"Haha, it's alright." He laughed. "Come, sit down." He gestured to a table and we sat down. "So, uh. I noticed Enoshima's not been around lately."
"Yeah…"
"You worried about her?" Hagakure said. "I'm sure she's fine."
"It's not like you to be this laid back about something like this…"
Hagakure gave me an odd stare. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Sorry, forget I said that. I'm surprised you wanted to talk to me about it."
"I don't know. I guess it's getting kinda lonely, you know?" Hagakure sighed. "I feel like no-one here wants to talk to me."
I looked away. "I guess… I guess I'm the opposite. I don't want to talk to anyone."
"Ah, jeez, I'm sorry if I'm bothering you-"
"No, it's good actually. I… I should be talking to people."
"Man… I miss Naegi…" Hagakure sighed. He looked at me suddenly. "Shit, sorry, I-"
I giggled. "You're a funny man, Hagakure." I sighed. "I miss him too. Every day."
"It must be hard, man. I can't imagine how you feel. Like, at all." Hagakure looked tired.
"I guess I'm mostly worried about Junko. When the idea of there being a spy was suggested, all I could think of was Junko, and the weird way she was acting, and I just feel it's all my fault somehow."
"Jeez, that's harsh." Hagakure considered for a moment. "Hey, you know what? I'm gonna do this just for you."
"Do what?"
"A reading. For free."
"A… reading?"
"Yeah, you know, fortune telling." Hagakure stood up. "I don't have that much to work with, but tea leaves are always a good bet. I'll make us some tea."
I followed him into the kitchen. Celeste was sitting at a small table, drinking a cup of milk tea. Yamada sat nearby, eyeing her eagerly.
"He freaks me out so much…" Hagakure whispered to himself.
"Yeah…" I agreed.
After Hagakure poured us both cups of tea, we walked back out to our table and sat down. "Alright, to get a good idea of where to start, tell me how you're feeling in between each sip of tea."
"Is this like… a therapy session?" I asked, looking into my cup.
"Haha, yep! I'm just that generous!" He laughed.
I took a sip of tea. "I feel responsible for every death that happened."
Hagakure's chair went backwards so suddenly I thought he was going to fall over. "Jesus Christ, Maizono! You don't play around, huh?"
I ignored him and took another sip of tea. It was hot, but it soothed my throat gently. I could feel my anxieties slowly melting away. "I'm worried about Alter Ego's safety."
Hagakure breathed out. "Good, just keep going." He was concentrating very hard, gears spinning inside his head.
I took another sip. Half-empty. "I'm worried about Junko. For both her safety, and her potential relationship with the mastermind."
"Nice, Maizono."
"I feel like everyone around me views me as a threat after what I did to Naegi and Kuwata."
Hagakure said nothing this time, just nodded solemnly.
I paused for the longest time before finally finishing my tea. "I'm worried I may never get out of here. That I will die without ever knowing what happened to my friends in the outside world. Without even an opportunity to atone for what I did."
I stared deep into my teacup. I could almost see the leaves moving around at the bottom. The air was silent and heavy for several minutes. I loosened my grip on the teacup and slid it towards Hagakure.
"Okay. Here goes." Hagakure said. He took the cup in his hands and examined it closely, peering from any angle he could.
"Do you see anything?" I asked.
"Sh!" He held up a finger. "You can't rush greatness."
I sat back patiently.
"Okay. I see something."
I leaned forward. "What is it?"
"It's all kinda fuzzy, but two prominent shapes form here and here." He said, pointing to two spots at the bottom of the cup. "This one is for death and sacrifice, and this one is for reunion."
I gulped. "What does that mean?"
"Not a lot of good I'm afraid, but here is my prediction: Someone close to you will be taken away, but you will be able to reunite with another."
"Like… a ghost?" I said slowly.
Hagakure cried in surprise. "Ah!"
"What is it?"
"It's Naegi! The ghost of Naegi! You'll see Naegi again!"
My heart stopped. I couldn't possibly believe what he was saying. "That… can't be right! Surely you're mistaken!"
"Nope! I am reading this 100% correctly! I know my tea leaves like I know my crystal ball!"
I hesitated. "You mean the glass ball Kuwata shattered?"
Hagakure gritted his teeth. "I'll ignore that comment for now. Anyway, my predictions are right 20-30% of the time! If it happens, it's bound to happen exactly as I've said!"
I stood up slowly. "I'm… gonna need a moment to process this." I pushed in my chair and grabbed my teacup. "Thanks for the tea."
"No worries, Maizono!" He looked puzzled for a moment, gazing at my wrist. "How's your hand? I totally forgot baseball dude broke it."
I looked down at my hand. It hadn't even been a week, but it had mostly healed. It had some movement in it and as long as I kept it mostly still, I could hardly feel the pain. "It's good I think. Monokuma did a good job with it. Weirdly."
"I'm glad! You took that ugly ass glove off too."
I scowled. It WAS an ugly mitten, but hearing it from Hagakure like that somehow insulted me. I shook it off. "Hey, did the tea leaves say anything about who was gonna get taken away?"
Hagakure shook his head. "Afraid not. It was a little hard to comprehend. Besides, is that something you really wanna hear from me anyway?"
I thought for a moment. "I… I suppose not. Th-thank you anyway, I guess…" I headed into the kitchen and cleaned the teacup before heading out of the dining hall.
"Take care, Maizono." He smiled.
"Thanks, Hagakure. You too."
I went back into my room and sighed. It was still very early in the day, and I felt like I had no-one else to talk to. I didn't feel like talking to Asahina or Ogami, and Ishimaru was now terrifying, and I practically wanted to avoid everyone else now. The only person I wanted to talk to was-
"Junko…" I breathed deeply. I stood up slowly. This was more than likely a useless endeavour, but it was worth a shot. I slowly made my way out of my bedroom and to Junko's bedroom. I rested my finger against the intercom button for the longest time without asserting any pressure. My legs buckled from underneath me. "What is wrong with me?" I said aloud quietly. "She's my friend, I should be able to-" I cut myself off with a sob. "It's useless. I'm useless. She doesn't want to be around me." I gave a painful sigh and walked back towards my room. Kirigiri spotted me in the hallway as she came out of the dining hall.
"Maizono." She said sharply.
"Are you going to grill me again?" I said in a pained tone.
"You look terrible." She said bluntly.
"Thanks Kirigiri, you're glowing as usual."
Kirigiri narrowed her eyes at me. "I never took you for the sarcastic type." She folded her arms. "In between Enoshima's disappearance and Ishimaru's drastic change in behaviour, that you so graciously instigated, there must be a lot going on for you."
"Is this an interrogation?" I sighed. "I'm tired, Kirigiri."
"That's not an excuse." Kirigiri snapped. She unfolded her arms and her body relaxed. "However, I can see the stress piling on you. I don't want to distrust you, Maizono. I just don't want you doing anything rash."
I nodded. The conversation was exhausting. "I'm… probably just gonna sleep it off." I sniffed. "I'll confront Junko tomorrow. Make her tell me what's going on."
Kirigiri smiled. "Good idea. Get some rest, Maizono. I'll see you when I see you."
"Thanks, Kirigiri. You stay safe, I know it must be hard having to have your door open all the time."
"Alter Ego is too important. But I will be careful." Kirigiri turned and walked back to her bedroom. "Goodbye, Maizono."
"Bye Kirigiri." I said quietly. Per Kirigiri's instructions, I walked back into my room and laid down on my bed. Unlike the previous night, sleep came easy, and I found myself drifting off quickly.
A ringing at my doorbell woke me up. I jolted upwards, the doorbell angrily being pressed over and over.
"Coming! Coming!" I shouted hurriedly. I wrenched open my door. "Ah!" I cried suddenly. "J-Junko?"
"Sayaka…" Junko stood at my door, staring at the ground. Her left arm clutched her right elbow tightly. She was shaking.
"Junko, I-" I couldn't think of what to say. I swallowed. "What happened to you?"
"I… I need your help." Her voice was weak, but it had an odd air of determination in it.
"O-of course, but just-"
"We don't have much time." She said fiercely, her gaze still fixed on the floor beneath me. "Follow me."
I gulped. I stepped out into the hallway. I had no clue what time it was, but I had a strong suspicion it was the middle of the night. Did I really sleep for that long? I followed Junko out of the dorm area and into the school area. "Where are we going?"
"Just trust me." She said quietly.
I fell back slightly, unsure. But I still followed her. I followed her up a flight of stairs and came to- "The bathroom on the 2nd floor? Why are we here?"
Junko said nothing and opened the door to the boys' bathroom.
"Junko!" I hissed, but she ignored me. I reluctantly followed her in, where she was waiting for me.
"There's no camera in here either. We're safe now." She sighed. She looked me dead in the eye, very serious. "I found a way to escape."
My eyes lit up. "Really? We should tell the others-"
"No!" Junko said, quietly but strongly, gripping my arm. "They can't know about this yet. I need to make sure it's safe. I need someone I can trust."
I stopped. "Okay. Sure. Where is it?"
"In here, there's a utility closet at the back. Go in and you'll find it."
I swallowed. Why was I so nervous about this? I stepped into the closet at the back. Suddenly, I felt a hard shove against my back.
"Oof!" I cried. I sprawled onto the floor. My knee hit hard on the linoleum. I turned back around to face who shoved me. "Junko!" I cried. She stood menacingly over me, grinning evilly. "Junko what are you doing!?"
"Oh, Sayaka." She tutted. "I never said you were going to escape." She reached into her jacket and pulled out a bronze knife. She lunged towards me, knife in hand.
"AAAAAAHHH!"
"AH!" I gasped. I was in my bed, drenched in a cold sweat. "Holy shit…" I breathed. It was just a horrible nightmare. I sat up and looked around. Thanks to the lack of windows, I had no way of figuring out what time it was. I looked at my bedroom door and shuddered. No-one was at the door, and no-one was trying to force their way in. The solid red wood stood silent, as did the intercom next to it. I got out of bed and stood up. I almost didn't want to open the door, in case Junko was on the other side with the knife. I swallowed. The atmosphere in the bedroom was overpowering, and now I felt far more sure to leave. I opened my bedroom door and stepped out into the hallway.
"Oh! Maizono!" Celeste cried. "You should not be out this late."
"Late…?" I asked.
Celeste raised an eyebrow. "Did you not hear? The nighttime announcement just played."
"W-what?" My eyes widened. "I… I was asleep."
Celeste giggled. "Anyway, I will now retire to my room. You should do the same. Even if you are not tired. It is not safe at night." She narrowed her eyes. "Of course, you know that better than anyone."
I nodded, ignoring her snide comment. "Of course. Goodnight, Celeste."
"Goodnight, Maizono."
I stood in the hallway, watching Celeste walk back to her bedroom. I turned around to go back into my room and I saw a small, dark shape out of the corner of my vision. It was heading out of the dorm area and into the school grounds.
"What…? Who…?" I whispered to myself. Sparing no more stupid questions, I quickly but quietly walked down the hallway to follow the shape. As I came into the school grounds, I saw the shape go around the corner past the nurse's office. I could see clearly now that it was a person, but I couldn't make out who. Loud clicks indicated them bounding up the stairs, so I quickly followed them upstairs. As I came to the top of the stairs, I saw the sliding door to the library close. I put my ear against the door and listened.
"Kyehahaha!" Came a muffled giggle on the other side, followed by a sneeze.
I quickly opened the door and rushed in. I kicked up dust that was on the floor into my face, causing me to splutter.
"Ah!" Came a weak, startled cry.
I opened my eyes to see who it was. "Fukawa?" I asked.
"G-g-get away from me!" Fukawa cried, backing up. "Are you g-going to kill me? L-l-like you tried with Kuwata!?"
"No! Fukawa no! Of course not!" I cried desperately.
"I-I knew it! You d-didn't want me around! No-one did! I-I bet you just wanted to p-pawn me off for cash! Master won't settle for this y-you know!" Fukawa took a step towards me, then stumbled and fell onto the floor. "AH!" She yelled.
I quickly knelt down and helped her up to her feet. "Are you okay?" I asked gently.
"AH! G-get off me!" She shoved me away. "I-I don't want your b-bloodied hands on me."
"Where are your glasses?" I asked.
"G-glasses?" She touched her face. Sure enough, they weren't on her. "GAH! I'm blind! Curse that n-nasty… minx! I want her out!"
It didn't take a genius to figure out who she was referring to. "Fukawa, I'll help you back to your room, okay? I promise I won't hurt you." I spoke clearly but gently, hoping she'll believe me.
She stared hard at me. "Why were you f-following me?"
"I saw you disappear into the school grounds late at night. I was worried."
"W-worried? About me?" Fukawa asked. "Why? W-wouldn't it be better if I j-just died!?"
"NO! Of course not!" I yelled. "I care about you just as much as everyone else. I want all of us to get out of here, and that includes you."
Fukawa looked down and said nothing, choosing to grit her teeth instead.
"Now come on, I'll help you back to your room." I offered my arm to Fukawa.
Fukawa looked at me strangely. With much force of her own willpower, she reluctantly took my arm. I guided her back down the stairs, navigating her through the school grounds and back to her bedroom. She let go of my arm and walked into her own bedroom and slammed the door.
I sighed. "Figures I wouldn't get anything out of her." I opened the door to my bedroom and stepped inside. Right before I closed the door behind me, I heard Fukawa's door open and a small voice whispered down the hallway.
"Th-thank you, Maizono."
Then the door slammed shut again. I smiled. I shut my own bedroom door and sat down on my bed. Having slept all day, I felt no need to rest, but not having anything else to do, I lay down on my bed, humming my old songs to myself until morning.
I must have fallen asleep at some point, as the Monokuma morning announcement woke me up. I stretched and yawned. After helping Fukawa last night, I suddenly felt a lot better about myself. However, that good feeling wouldn't last, as no sooner had I opened my bedroom door, Kirigiri's signature glare stared right back at me.
"Ah!" I jumped in surprise.
"Good. You're awake. Come with me." She spoke quietly but forcefully, and I could tell something was very, very wrong.
I followed her into the bathhouse where several people were already waiting. Togami gave me his usual dismissive sneer. Fukawa was trying her hardest not to look at me. Ogami looked angry and determined. Asahina looked terrified.
No-one else was present.
I gulped.
"Would you mind telling me what the hell you brought me in here for?" Togami asked impatiently.
Kirigiri said nothing. She just opened the locker in which Alter Ego was being stored.
Alter Ego was missing.
I gasped. "ALTER EGO!"
"I see. The laptop's gone missing." Togami said matter-of-factly.
"I-I-I bet it was Yamada or Ishimaru!" Fukawa yelled. "Or, whatever you're supposed t-to call him now."
Ishimaru's new form flashed in my memory for a split second.
Kirigiri shook her head. "No. It can't be either of them. I asked Alter Ego to scream if either of them approached her."
Fukawa glowered and said nothing.
"Interesting the lack of numbers here." Togami said. "That has to be suspicious."
"Alas, I could not find Hagakure, Celeste, or Enoshima. All of them have gone missing." Kirigiri replied.
"W-well it's not just them, either." Asahina said. "I thought it would be important to let Yamada and Ishimaru know, so I went to their doors after you told me Alter Ego had been missing."
Ogami nodded. "Neither of them answered their doors."
Kirigiri's eyes widened. "Something must have happened."
I gasped. "You don't mean-"
"What she's insinuating is that there may have been a murder. Is that correct?" Togami asked. "Monokuma did present us with a motive after all."
Kirigiri frowned. "I can't believe I let that slip my mind."
"W-we have to go find them!" I cried.
"And not a moment to lose!" Asahina cried.
"Wait. We need to split up to cover more ground." Kirigiri said. "Fukawa and Togami, you check the second floor."
"Don't you dare pair me with that pile of rags." Togami sneered. "I don't particularly care about those missing anyway." He grinned. "However, if a murder has occured, I do want to be there to see it. So I shall search the dorms."
"Fine. Fukawa, you and Maizono search the second floor." Kirigiri sighed. "I'll search the first floor of the school, and Ogami and Asahina, you check the third floor."
"On it!" Asahina cried, racing off out of the bathhouse at top speed, Ogami in tow.
I quickly followed them out of the bathhouse, running as fast as I could. "Junko please be okay, please be okay PLEASE be okay!" My mind rushed through the most horrid possibilities.
"W-wait for me!" Fukawa cried.
When I arrived at the second floor, I waited for Fukawa, panicky and very out of breath.
Fukawa finally caught up, huffing madly. "D… don't d-do that!"
"Less talking, more searching!" I hissed. "You search the pool and the bathrooms, and I'll search the classrooms then the library."
Fukawa nodded and quickly went inside the girls' bathroom.
I raced off down the hallway towards Class-B at the end of the hallway.
"S-SOMEONE HELP!" A voice cried from the floor above.
I quickly raced upstairs and found Asahina at the top of the stairs just outside the rec room.
Asahina looked frightened. "It's Celeste!" She's hurt real bad!"
"You go get the others, I'll see if she's okay."
Asahina nodded and raced downstairs.
I burst open the door to the rec room. "Celeste!" I gasped.
Celeste was leaning on the pool table, clutching one arm. She seemed badly bruised. "Nnnghh!" She moaned.
Ogami quickly came in from behind me and helped Celeste to a seat. "What happened? Who did this to you?"
Celeste shook her head. I had never seen her so dazed and confused. "I do not know. I believe it was some kind of… strange man." She said slowly.
"Strange man?" Ogami asked.
She shook her head suddenly, as if she just remembered. "W-wait! H-he took Yamada! Down to the second floor!" She struggled to get to her feet.
"No no, sit down Celeste." Ogami insisted.
"I… managed to snag a picture of him dragging Hifumi away, before he knocked me out, with that hammer laying on the ground." She pointed to a hammer lying not too far from the pool table. It was dark blue and had 'Justice Hammer 1' inscribed on it in bold letters. "I only survived because I begged for my life… like an animal." Tears welled up in her eyes. "Dear God, what happened to Yamada!?"
I grabbed the camera Celeste was reaching for on the Othello table. I turned on the camera and looked at the photo library. "What on Earth…?" I gasped in surprise.
"Show me." Ogami asked, and I handed her the camera. "What…? What is this?"
"Th-that's him! That's the strange man!" Celeste pointed at the camera, coughing.
"A… robot?" I asked. The strange 'man' in the photo was what appeared to be a human-sized mecha-robot dragging Yamada to the door of the rec room. Yamada looked terrified.
"Maizono, you checked the second floor, correct?" Ogami asked.
I shook my head. "Only one of the classrooms. I came up when I heard Asahina scream."
Ogami frowned. "Go back down and search thoroughly. Yamada might still be alive."
I nodded and raced back downstairs. Kirigiri, Asahina, and Fukawa were on the stairs heading up to the third floor. "Fukawa!" I cried. "Did you check all of the second floor?"
Fukawa shook her head. "Y-you didn't give m-me much time…" She frowned. "I found nothing. Not in the pool, or the changing rooms, or the bathrooms."
"What about the library!?" I said exasperated.
"I thought y-you were checking the library!" She cried. "W-where'd you go, huh?"
"I don't have time for this!" I yelled, runnin past Fukawa and into the library, where I found Yamada, blood dripping down his head.
"Guuhhh…" He moaned.
"YAMADA!" I screamed.
I heard running footsteps behind me as Kirigiri came into the library.
"What happened, Yamada?"
"W… what… happened?" He said slowly. He was even more dazed than Celeste. "I-I was hit… on the head… by some strange man."
"A strange man?" My eyes widened.
"Yes… a man in a robot costume…" He coughed. "Robo Justice, I'm calling him."
"A man in a robot costume?" Kirigiri asked.
"He-he's making it up!" Fukawa yelled. I hadn't even realised she was in here. She was deliberately not looking at his head, trying not to look at all the blood.
"Why would he make it up!?" I replied.
"The hammer's… down there…" He pointed behind him to a hammer lying on the ground below the table.
Kirigiri leaned down to inspect it. "Justice Hammer… 2?" She asked.
"Celeste was hit with Justice Hammer 1!" I gasped. "This is just like that but- it's much bigger!"
Kirigiri stood up. "We need to confirm what just happened with Celeste. Maizono, you take Yamada down to the Nurse's Office. We still have three people unaccounted for and it's paramount that we find them, as well as this… strange man."
I nodded. Kirigiri and Fukawa left the library. I turned to Yamada. "Are you okay to walk?"
Yamada nodded. I held his arm and helped steady him out of the library and down the stairs. Being quite heavy, it was very difficult to keep him balanced, but we managed. Once we got into the nurse's office, he immediately lay down on one of the bed's and relaxed.
"Th-thank you, Maizono." Yamada said.
"Are you gonna be alright in here by yourself?" I asked. "I need to continue the search. Junko, Hagakure, and Ishimaru are still missing."
Yamada's face flashed angrily for a split second at hearing Ishimaru's name, but immediately relaxed. "Okay. Yes. I'll be fine." He chuckled. "You're a real hero, Maizono."
That compliment threw me off guard. "Thanks, Yamada. That means a lot." I walked out of the nurse's office. I gave Yamada one last look to check if he was okay, then I raced back upstairs to the second floor. I passed by Togami, who was walking at a leisurely pace.
"AAAHHH!" Someone screamed from the third floor.
Togami and I looked at each other and then raced upstairs to the third floor.
Kirigiri, Fukawa, Asahina, and Ogami all raced out of the rec room to where Celeste was standing.
"Celeste!?" I cried.
"That was a rather… intense scream for a woman like you." Togami said.
"I saw him! The strange man!" She pointed down the hallway towards the art room. "He went around the corner and disappeared!"
"Robo Justice." I whispered.
"What?" Togami eyed me oddly.
"Ah, that's just what Yamada called him." I explained.
Togami said nothing.
"We need to track this 'Robo Justice' down right now." Kirigiri stated. "We need to split up. Search each floor-"
"NOOOOOO!" Came a loud scream from downstairs.
"YAMADA!" I cried. "He's in the nurse's office!"
"H-he must be really loud to send h-his voice this far!" Fukawa said.
"No time for that!" Kirigiri said sharply. "We need to find Robo Justice and check on Yamada."
"I'm curious to chase down this… Robo Justice." Togami said.
"I-I'll go with Master!" Fukawa declared.
"I shall go with them, I cannot forgive a man so eager to hurt my friends." Ogami growled.
"I shall go too." Kirigiri said. "I wanna see him for myself."
"Screw Robo Justice!" I cried. "I wanna see if Yamada's okay!"
"I want to know too!" Celeste said. "I don't want to see that masked man again! Asahina, could you help me down the stairs?"
"Ah, of course." Asahina said.
"Then let's move." Togami said forcefully, quickly making his way down the hallway. I rushed down the stairs and past the second floor.
"I knew I should have stayed with hiiimmm…"
"It'll be okay, Maizono." Asahina said. "Don't beat yourself up. He'll be alright, right?"
Celeste looked scared.
I finally got to the nurse's office. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest. I was so frightened at what I might find. I cautiously opened the door.
To a room full of blood.
"KYAAHHH!" I screamed.
"NO WAY! This… this cannot be happening!" Asahina clamped her hand over her mouth.
"Yamada!" Celeste sobbed.
Hifumi Yamada, whom I had just left alone moments before, now lay dead on the floor.
