Is this healthy?
June 2008
Hermione was uncomfortable. While Ivy was heavily leaning into her arm, her breast ached, and the nauseous feeling hadn't left her for the past few weeks. She also really hadn't eaten much and while she had threatened in joking about not having sex ever again, the thought became rather serious.
"Auntie Mione, we made cakes." James came running with a tray of little cakes and she wanted to cry when the smell hit her.
"Get your mum to watch Ivy, please." She placed the baby on a little play rag she had on the ground from earlier. Sure, she was asleep, but she was also starting to get mobile.
"Okay." She was right on his heels, when he ran out of the sitting room to find his mother in the kitchen. Hermione on the other hand turned towards the washroom, just barely making the toilette. She emptied her already empty stomach once again. Her hair carelessly falling around her face when she finally set back. It took her another moment before she felt the spirit of using a cleaning charm on her.
It was finally a cry from the other room that clearly indicated that Ivy had awoken that made her stand. She flushed the toilette and washed her hands once more, glancing at herself with pity in the mirror.
When she came back to the sitting area, she carefully eyed the cakes, before glancing at Ginny, who was holding the squirming Malfoy baby, while her own were playing on the floor.
"I charmed them to not smell."
Hermione gave her a thankful smile, before stepping closer to check on Ivy.
"Is it healthy for this to happen this fast?"
"Shut up." She only half glared at her friend, who wore a wide grin.
"It's not Ron's, but it will still be fun for this one to be in the same year as one of mine."
Hermione's eyes widened before she unlike herself squealed and pulled her best friend into her arms.
