Reviews:
Phantommore: Three reasons. First, he's trying to be a hero. Second, the same reason we can't consume D-code in the first game, the Nomu wouldn't just sit there an let him do it. Third, yeah way too many witnesses.
Runnar: I'm not exactly even sure what a class rep does, let alone in a school like U.A. And since cannon never explored what Iida and Momo do as class reps, I have nothing to work with. So I'll try to figure something out but don't set your expectations too high.
Cyricist001: Who said they aren't? Just because it hasn't been mentioned yet doesn't mean it's not happening. Also, read until the end of the chapter and you'll realize he's a lot worse than an entire arsenal of Nukes. You'll see what I mean.
Guest: I'm aware he is resistant to short bursts of intense heat. However, sustained heat is another story. In this story he has a quirk that makes him resistant to heat, but it does have its limits. Also, he can heat up the metallic parts of his body until they're glowing white hot. So he can melt through Todoroki's ice. Not to mention he now has laser vision. Plus he could just smash through it with brute strength or bore through it like a worm even if he didn't have laser vision or the ability to heat metal. Leverage is a non-issue when dealing with extreme shapeshifters like Alex.
Wait: It has regenerative capabilities but can it regenerate from vital organs being destroyed and a massive hole being punched through it to the point its spine was severed and it was partially decapitated? Especially when the wound was automatically cauterized? Because that's what happened. In Prototype 2 there's a dlc called "excessive force" or something like that and in that DLC there's an ability called "Medusa's Wrath" that kills pretty much anything instantly. Alex's laser vision is based on that.
Guest: Alex went into hyper paranoid detail when forging his records so yeah. He already covered that particular issue. Also it doesn't have to be on his "mother's" side of the family. Like you said, it could have to do with his "father's" side of the family instead. However, since it was a "one night stand" neither Alex nor "Elizabeth" know who the "father" really is and thus have no way of proving anything. I'll leave it up to the readers to imagine what he wrote in his medical files however.
Aokay: I'll be including Sero soon. I really should have included him to begin with but I didn't now I need to fix that.
shishlyannikov99: I already discussed exactly why he went into so much detail. Go back and read the replies to reviews in previous chapters if it's that much of a concern. Most likely, yes, he will probably be in a relationship with someone. Momo is only one of the two options. Also intelligence is not the only factor when deciding how compatible two people are. Personality is much more important in that regard and Mina's personality would fit with Alex's quite well in my opinion. Besides which the fact Mina isn't that great in terms of her grades just means she has more reason to interact with Alex since he could potentially help her with her homework and tutor her. Momo has less reasons to interact with him beyond him being the class rep. Still it's possible I will decide for him to go with either one. I haven't decided yet.
Bioman: Not really. Biomass is biomass. It's just that wood is a bit more difficult for him to consume but he can still do it. Besides, he evolves to everything so eventually he's going to evolve to be able to consume wood just as easily as he consumes flesh. It's only a matter of time.
{Landslide Zone}
"Aren't you embarrassed to lose to a child? For god sake, you're adults. Put up a real fight!" Todoroki told the villains he had just frozen. "So the plan was to scatter us and then kill us. You were woefully unprepared. In fact, it looks to me that you've had no training. You haven't the slightest idea how to use your quirks." He then started approaching the villains.
"This power… He froze us the moment we warped here!" One of the villains muttered in shock.
"He's not a kid, he's a monster!" Another added.
"So cold!" A third whined.
A villain with a knife charged towards Todoroki while another snuck up behind him and tried to stab him with a spear. Todoroki dodged the spear and grabbed it as it passed him, freezing both of the villains instantly. He then wrenched the spear out of the villain who just tried to stab him's grip, causing the ice pillar holding the villain up to collapse and forcing him to fall to the ground.
"Listen well. If you stay frozen your cells will slowly die as your body succumbs to frostbite and hypothermia. Luckily for you, I wanna be a hero." Todoroki informed all of them. He was about to continue when Alex fell from the sky and landed nearby.
"Hey, Todoroki. I see you've got things pretty much handled here. So what's going on? Why are you talking to these losers?" Alex inquired.
"I was just about to start interrogating them. I'm trying to figure out how they thought they could kill All Might." Todoroki responded.
Alex raised his eyebrows in response. "Oh? Mind if I help? I have this special virus I designed specifically designed to inflict pain without actually killing the target. Mainly for shutting down combatants in the middle of a fight but it's a perfect interrogation tool too. It normally kills itself off after an hour but I can control it directly and decide when to kill it off even in the middle of an interrogation. So, how about it?"
Todoroki motioned to the frozen villains. "Go right ahead. The quicker we get results the better."
Alex nodded and walked over to a villain before morphing a finger into a needle-like protrusion. "This is going to hurt a lot. So tell us everything you know about your plan to kill All Might and I promise the pain will stop." He said before stabbing the needle directly into the villain's skin. Not even a second later the screaming started.
{Collapse Zone}
Alex used his thermal vision to help him find the largest heat source among the broken and collapsed buildings knowing that was where he would find the villains and whatever student got warped there. Splitting his body into a few hundred bird and spider-like creatures about the size of sparrows made this process incredibly quick. It only took him about two and a half minutes to find Kirishima fighting a large group of villains all on his own. He was doing well but it was fairly clear he would be overwhelmed by sheer numbers sooner or later.
So Alex had all of the bird-like and spider-like bodies he was controlling converge on the area before melding back together. He then smashed his way into the room by breaking through one of the windows and immediately grabbed a villain and swung him into two other villains hard enough to send them flying ten feet back.
"Hey, Mercer! I thought you might be showing up soon." Kirishima said after punching another villain in the face and knocking him out.
"Hey. Yeah, you looked a little outnumbered so I thought I'd drop in and help." Alex responded, driving his elbow into the stomach of a villain before whirling around and kicking another villain in the jaw causing a sickening crunch as the villain's jaw was shattered.
"Hey, that's fine by me. But, uh, how's the rest of the class? I imagine this isn't the only place you came." Kirishima inquired as he blocked an attack with his hardened arm and punched the villain right back.
"They're scattered around the rest of the facility but otherwise they're still alive. I have other bodies going to give them a bit of backup. Oh and I copied that smoke guy's quirk so I already sent Midoriya and Tsuyu back to school to get help since they ended up with me in the shipwreck zone. Help should be arriving soon." Alex explained, grabbing one villain and using him as a shield to block a punch from another villain before throwing him at said other villain.
"What? Really? Huh… I guess what Hagakure said was true then. Anyways, glad to hear everyone's all right!" Kirishima said as he knocked yet another villain unconscious.
{Fire Zone}
Alex quickly found Ojiro fighting a large group of villains by himself and landed in the middle of the battlefield. "Hope you don't mind some assistance."
"Mercer? Nope. It's better than trying to take these guys all on my own." Ojiro responded.
{Squall Zone}
Alex found Koda and Tokoyami in the middle of the rainy faux-city district with their backs to each other. Landing near them he said nothing knowing neither of them were the most talkative members of the class and he didn't need to make a comment or anything to that effect in order to assist them.
{Mountain Zone}
Denki screamed in terror as a particularly large and muscular villain tried to punch him. He dodged the attack by turning and running away. "These dudes are terrifying! My whole life just flashed before my eyes! I think I saw the grim reaper! What's going on?!" He shouted in panic as he ran over to Jiro and Yaoyorozu.
"Could you maybe take it down a few notches? Right now we need to focus on getting away from these enemies!" Jiro inquired, holding up the blade Yaoyorozu made for her defensively.
"Then pull out a weapon for me too!" Kaminari demanded.
"You're the one with electrical powers, just zap them so we can run!" Jiro retorted.
"Were you not paying attention during combat training?! Some partner you were! I can cover my body with electricity but if I shoot it out it will go everywhere! I take you guys down along with them, or did you want shock treatment today? I can't even call for help because there's still interference jamming the signal. I'm counting on you two! I'm no help in this situation. You've gotta get us out of here, please!" Kaminari explained.
"You're a real damsel in distress aren't you?" Jiro inquired mockingly.
Kaminari dodged another punch from the same villain who tried to punch him before.
"New idea!" Jiro said, kicking Kaminari in the back and knocking him into the villain who just tried to punch him. "You're my human stun gun!"
"Seriously?!" Kaminari exclaimed before slamming into the villain. As soon as he did, he immediately began electrocuting him. "Whoa! Hey, this is working! I'm super strong! Sit back you two, you can count on me!"
"You are exhausting…" Jiro muttered.
"TRY ELECTROCUTING SOLID ROCK, KID!" A villain with a stretching quirk shouted, swinging a large boulder towards Kaminari.
Jiro plugged her earlobe-jacks into her boots and unleashed a massive sonic blast that shattered the rock. Thus the only thing that hit Kaminari was the villain's fist causing him to be electrocuted as well.
Another villain wielding knives jumped up into the air only to be caught by a net thrown by Yaoyorozu. He then slammed into the other two who were being electrocuted and ended up being electrocuted along with them.
"You're lucky that worked out so well." Yaoyorozu stated before grasping her staff in a ready position.
"I'm sorry. Next time I'll ask before saving our butts!" Jiro retorted sarcastically. She then unleashed another blast of sound waves upon the villains. "Damn it Kaminari! You couldn't have asked for some kind of aiming gear when you put in your costume request form?! I mean, come on!" As she was saying this another villain started dropping down towards her from the mountain, wielding two large hatchets. Jiro dodged the attack and Yaoyorozu delivered a pole vault kick to the villain's face.
"It's ready!" Yaoyorozu exclaimed as her back began to glow and bulge "It takes me a little longer to create an object this big!" Suddenly the back of her clothes tore and a large sheet of electrically insulated blanket erupted from her back.
"A blanket?" A villain asked in confusion.
"Is this supposed to be a shield?" Another villain mocked.
"You're looking at a sheet of insulation one hundred millimeters thick! Go Kaminari!" Yaoyorozu said confidently.
Kaminari smirked and said, "Badass…" He then turned to the villains with electricity arcing off of his body. "Now I don't have to worry about hurting my friends! YOU GUYS ARE FRIED!" He then unleashed a massive wave of electricity that incapacitated all of the villains in the area.
Right as this was happening Alex landed in the middle of the battle and was about to say something when the electricity hit him. Looking around and saw electricity arcing off of everyone, including him. "Huh… I guess I got here a bit too late." He said to himself as he watched the villains get electrocuted. Normally he would be paralyzed by this himself, but with the quirk he gained that granted him a resistance to electricity he barely felt so much as a slight tingle. When it was over smoke was rising up out of the bodies of the villains who Kaminari just fried while Alex was just fine.
"Mercer?! What are you doing here?" Yaoyorozu asked as soon as it was over.
"Well, I came to help but I see that will be unnecessary. Sorry I'm late. Flying up the mountain made it take me a bit longer to get here. Oh, and you do realize your clothes are shredded, right?" Alex said, looking over at Yaoyorozu and Jiro who were hiding underneath the insulation.
"Mercer, Kaminari! Don't you dare look!" Jiro exclaimed, doing her best to cover Yaoyorozu.
Alex rolled his eyes and turned his back on them. "Not like I really care anyways. Just tell me when you have some new clothes."
Kaminari didn't respond. His brain had been fried from overusing his quirk thus reducing him to little more than a babbling idiot.
That's when the booming sounds of Alex's battle with the Nomu started, the entire facility began to shake as if it were in the middle of an earthquake, and high speed winds began rushing through the facility from the force of Alex and the Nomu's swings.
A few seconds later a villain appeared and grabbed Kaminari. "Get your hand up! And no quirks, got it?! Use your powers and I'll kill your friend here!" He shouted over the noise and the wind.
"Kaminari's helpless…" Yaoyorozu muttered.
"Damn that villain… He totally caught us with our pants down. I thought that electric blast would have fried them all. We were so stupid… How did we not see this coming?!" Jiro growled.
Alex turned and looked at the villain. "Fucking really? Please…" He shot a tendril of biomass underground through his feet. Said tendril then split into multiple branches and burst up out of the ground behind the villain. Before the villain could react, Alex wrapped the tendrils around the villain's waist, neck, arms, and legs. He then proceeded to break the arm that was holding Kaminari by squeezing that particular arm hard enough to reduce the bones to powder.
The villain screamed in agony as Kaminari dropped to the ground. Alex then had one of the tendrils form a tiny needle which he then had stab the villain and take a blood sample which he immediately consumed. Finally he lifted the villain into the air and slammed him into the ground hard enough to knock him out.
"Pathetic." Alex said in a disapproving tone as he retracted the tendrils of biomass.
"Uh… Wow…! You just destroyed that guy's arm…!" Jiro said in a slightly disturbed tone, also raising her voice to be heard over the noise from Alex's fight and the resulting wind.
"Yeah! He's damn lucky I didn't want to hurt him too badly otherwise I would have cut it off entirely!" Alex said as he walked over and healed the villain's arm. He didn't want to be held accountable for causing the bastard permanent bodily harm otherwise he would have left it broken. He then used telekinesis to round up all of the villains before putting them in another net of biomass.
"Yeah, great but what the heck is going on?! What's with the explosions, the ground shaking, and all of this wind?!" Jiro demanded
"I'm just fighting a villain genetically engineered to kill All Might!" Alex said, shouting over the noise and the wind.
"What?! How?!" Yaoyorozu demanded.
"I can split myself into multiple bodies, obviously! Were you not paying attention during the indoor battles?! What did you think my bio constructs were?!" Alex responded.
"No, I mean how can you be fighting a villain specifically designed to kill All Might?!" Yaoyorozu elaborated.
"Well, how do you think?! I'm more powerful than All Might! Also, I copied it's quirks! And my quirk weaponizes any D.N.A. I consume making the quirks I copy significantly more powerful than they are naturally! So, that's how! Problem is, it has a shock absorbing quirk which is rendering my punches completely ineffectual!" Alex explained. "Even bigger problem! Aizawa is down and presumably dying so I need to beat this bastard fast so I can actually heal him!"
Jiro and Yaoyorozu both appeared horrified by this information. Running over to the edge of the mountain and looking out towards Alex's battle with the Nomu. Yaoyorozu even made two sets of binoculars and gave one to Jiro. Fortunately the shaking was significantly dampened this far away up on top of the mountain so it wouldn't obscure their vision through the binoculars too much.
"What are you two doing?! I have that smoke guy's quirk, so I need to send you and Kaminari back to school!" Alex shouted at them over the booming battle and the wind.
"No way! We have to see this! Besides, all the villains up here are dealt with! We're fine!" Jiro retorted.
Alex was about to insist when the smoke guy finally showed up and he heard what he said about Thirteen. "Girls, you might want to look away for a moment!"
"What?! Why!" Yaoyorozu inquired, lowering her binoculars and looking at him.
"Well, I just learned Thirteen is down and possibly dying as well so I have even less time than I thought! So I'm about to do something down there that neither of you want to see!"
Jiro obviously wasn't listening to him and continued to watch the battle. Seeing this, Alex sighed and decided to just give up. He couldn't force someone to listen to him if they didn't want to.
Moments later the booming stopped, the air grew still, and the shaking ceased. Jiro gasped in horror as she watched the Nomu fall over dead, seeing the hole in its chest and realizing what Alex just did. Before she could say anything, however, the entrance burst open and All Might entered the facility. She and Yaoyorozu looked with their binoculars and saw All Might come in, after the dust cleared enough for them to see him.
After a moment Jiro lowered her binoculars and looked at Alex in horror. "Y-you killed that villain…"
"Yeah. That's why I said you should look away. I didn't exactly have much choice in the matter. Aizawa and Thirteen are dying, I had no idea All Might was about to show up, my neither my biomass or my telekinesis were strong enough to restrain it, and my punches were doing fuck all because of its shock absorbtion quirk. So that was the only way I could think of to stop it. Judge me if you want. I couldn't care less." Alex lied about trying to restrain it with his telekinesis for the same reason he was currently lying to All Might about the exact same thing.
Yaoyorozu was clearly shocked to hear Alex had just killed the Nomu. "W-well… Uh… How are the others in our class? I mean you have bodies all over the place, right?"
"They're fine. The only ones who got hurt are the teachers, and I just healed Aizawa. So no one died and that's all that matters."
"Well, that's good to hear at least." Yaoyorozu said, trying to look on the brightside.
Alex said nothing but raised a hand off to the side. His hand then turned into black and faintly glowing crimson red smoke as he proceeded to create a portal to All Might. "Yeah… One of you grab Kaminari and all three of you head through the portal. It'll take you to All Might. Just try not to look at the body and try not to breathe through your nose. I mean, unless you enjoy the smell of burnt meat and incinerated bone."
Jiro and Yaoyorozu grimaced. Jiro proceeded to walk over to Kaminari and grab him before walking through the portal followed closely by Yaoyorozu.
Meanwhile, Alex opened numerous other portals throughout the facility and led his other classmates through them before heading through them himself. Once all of his bodies were present, he had them all remerge into one. "All right… I assume Thirteen is still at the top of the stairs near the entrance, right?" Alex asked, looking at All Might.
All Might nodded. "Yes, and she was injured so you should go heal her. I'll handle things from here. The other teachers and members of staff should be arriving soon so be on the lookout."
{Later}
After school was over that day he began looking for Midoriya. He actually had somewhat of an idea during the bus ride back. Midoriya's bones were breaking from the force he exerts with his quirk as per Newton's Third Law of Motion, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. However, when punching the Nomu Alex felt zero recoil from his punches due to its shock absorption quirk. So since he had gained the nomu's shock absorption quirk and the Blacklight virus had drastically enhanced it, perhaps he could help Midoriya by creating him an undersuit of biomass that would absorb all of the recoil of his attacks thus eliminating the risk of him breaking his bones entirely while still allowing him to use his quirk to great effect.
Using his enhanced sense of smell and hearing he quickly found Midoriya and walked over to him. "Midoriya, can I talk to you for a moment?"
Midoriya turned and looked at Alex. "Oh, Mercer, sure… Uh… I heard you killed that villain who had their brain exposed, is that true?"
Alex rolled his eyes. "Yes, but that's not why I'm talking to you right now. Though, I suppose it is related. You see, that villain was genetically engineered to kill All Might and to that end it had a powerful shock absorption quirk. I consumed a bit of that villain's blood so now I have that quirk too. Now you know how your bones break whenever you use your quirk?"
"Uh… Yeah?" Midoriya said uncertainly.
"Well, I think I can fix that." Alex then held out a hand and created the undersuit for Midoriya. The shirt and pants were both separate, however the shirt didn't have holes in the sleeves for the hands to come out of. Instead the sleeves extended into gloves that would completely cover Midoriya's hands. The pants were similar as they wouldn't leave Midoriya's feet exposed either just in case he decided he wanted to kick something instead of punching it. Both were pitch black in color similar to Alex's armored form and the back of the gloves were hard like brass knuckles, as were the elbows and knees.
"I'm a very good judge of size so they should fit you perfectly, but if they don't all you need to do is tell me and I'll fix them. Anyways, they have that shock absorbing quirk built in so they should help a lot with the recoil while still letting you use your quirk. A few things you should know first, though. While the biomass is dead and thus wont produce any heat on its own it is still very tough, dense, and fairly thick material that doesn't breath at all so it's going to get hot if you wear it too long due to your own body heat. I tried to minimize that by including a few vents here and there but still. Also the back of the gloves, the elbows, and the knees are all harder than rock or possibly even steel meaning they'll act like brass knuckles so be careful about that. Otherwise, just put it on under your costume and you should be able to use your quirk without any issues any more."
Midoriya took the under suit from Alex in shock. "R-really?! And… And you're just giving this to me? Wait, if it all has this shock absorbing quirk wouldn't that make this armor?! You could sell these to other pro heroes and make a fortune! Villains with quirks that rely on delivering kinetic energy to their opponent such as super strength quirks, gun quirks, and other such things could be completely trivialized by these!"
"Yeah? It's also stab proof, slash proof, flame retardant, heat resistant, cold resistant, weather resistant, abrasion resistant, wear and tear resistant, a strong electrical insulator, and can absorb the impact of long falls. So it could trivialize the villains with those quirks too, but it could do the exact same to the heroes with those quirks as well. Think about it, corruption is everywhere. Some 'heroes' would buy these and sell them on the black market for a profit making them available to villains as well. Or villains with other quirks could kill the heroes wearing them and would strip them off their corpses. Either way they would be impossible to keep out of the hands of villains forever. Not to mention my entire body is made of a highly aggressive retrovirus and so is that suit. So someone be they a villain or some shady government organization could take one of them to study the retrovirus and could use it to invent an apocalyptic weapon that could eradicate all life on Earth. There's a reason my quirk is called 'bioweapon'. So no, I can't mass produce and sell these. The only reason I'm giving this one to you is because you need all the help you can get with your self destructive quirk and no one outside of U.A. will know it was made with my biomass since I assume you're going to tell Aizawa about it."
"Oh… W-well… Um… This will be really helpful! Thank you so much! Though, I don't really have anything to give you in return…" Midoriya muttered nervously.
"Just take it and stop being completely useless. I'm sick of having to either keep you out of a fight or having to heal you afterwards." Alex said before turning and walking away.
This time he was heading for the Principal's office. He had been told to go there after school. Apparently Principal Nezu wanted to talk to him about how he killed that villain.
Walking into the Principal's office he saw Principal Nezu and Aizawa already waiting for him. "Sorry I took so long. I just had to give Midoriya something." Alex said as he entered the office.
"Oh? And what would that be?" Principal Nezu inquired.
"The villain I killed had a shock absorption quirk. So I made an undersuit out of dead biomass with that quirk and gave it to Midoriya so he'll stop breaking his bones every time he uses his quirk. Having to keep him out of the fight today was irritating and I don't want to have to heal him every time he uses his quirk. It also operates like armor due to the shock absorbing and a bunch of other quirks I gained during my walks before coming here to U.A. but that's just a side effect not its intended purpose. And before you ask, I already told you the biomass was dead so no. There's no chance of it infecting him or causing a viral outbreak." Alex explained.
"Ah, that will be very helpful. He will still have to learn to control his quirk but this should make doing so a lot easier for him. Considering its properties as armor I would ask if you would be willing to make similar suits for the other students and members of staff, however considering the risks involved with your biomass specifically I believe I already know what your answer would be. So I won't bother. Anyways, speaking of the villain you killed, how are you feeling? Killing someone is never easy, especially the first time around. It's an unfortunate fact that many Pro Heroes have to deal with such things from time to time depending on the situation."
Alex shrugged. "I feel absolutely nothing."
"Oh? So would you describe yourself as feeling numb then?" Nezu inquired.
"No. You know how when you step on an ant or swat a fly and you kill it you feel nothing? It just doesn't matter to you? It's more like that. I did what I thought I had to in that situation in order to prevent anyone else from dying and that's all there is to it. Had I known All Might was going to show up so soon I would have just held him off and waited. However, I didn't know when or even if you would be arriving since it was entirely possible villains were attacking the school too and there was nothing else I could do to beat him. My biomass couldn't hold him and neither could my telekinesis so my only option was to fight him and his shock absorbing quirk rendered my punches useless so that only left me with one choice. I don't regret it in the least." Alex explained.
"Hm… Interesting comparison. So would you view that villain as subhuman or yourself superior to him?" Nezu inquired.
"I can tell you're trying to gauge my personality. No. I'm more powerful, as made evident by the fact I'm alive and he isn't, but I don't consider him subhuman or myself superior. If I did then I would have to view everyone as inferior. Seriously, I have the single most powerful quirk in the world because I can have every quirk and my virus enhances the quirks I gain so they are significantly more powerful. That means I will always be more powerful than whoever I fight no matter what. So I'm easily the single most powerful person in the world. I could cause a viral apocalypse right now if I wanted and there would be nothing anyone could do to stop me. Not even all of the world's militaries and Pro Heroes combined would be enough. I could split myself into trillions of different bodies and kill the entire planet in just a few hours if I wanted to by flooding the entirety of the atmosphere with my virus all at once and no one would even have a chance to fight back. That's how powerful I am. You've both read my medical file so you know I'm not exaggerating in the least." Alex explained in a very serious tone.
Alex could smell the fear, uncertainty, and apprehension emanating from Aizawa. Principal Nezu, however, was perfectly calm and content, oddly enough. It was actually a bit unsettling how calm Nezu was about all of this.
"I see. Yes, you could do that couldn't you? In fact, there are plenty of quirks you could use to create infinite biomass which means you could easily destroy the entire universe by flooding it with your biomass if you wanted to. After all, the larger you grew the more biomass you could produce thus making your growth infinite and exponential. Especially if paired with a gigantification quirk. The expansion of the universe? You could easily out pace it given enough time. Black holes? What do those matter when you have quirks that can negate gravity entirely? You are essentially a biological god, if you'll forgive the analogy. However, you choose to do none of those things. Instead you come here to U.A. in hopes of becoming a Pro Hero. So I do see your point. Very well, you have made some very good points. So I believe you did what you thought you had to. However, that being said you did still kill someone today. So while you won't be arrested for it given the circumstances, unfortunately there does have to be consequences for your actions. Aizawa, I'll let you explain." Nezu explained before motioning for Aizawa to speak.
"Uh… Right. We want to ensure this doesn't happen again or at the very least we want to minimize the chances of it happening again. Accidents and situations like this one do happen, especially when dealing with individuals with particularly powerful quirks, but what happened today was entirely avoidable. You didn't have to kill that villain. There were plenty of other options available to you even if you didn't realize it in the heat of the moment. Especially considering how powerful you are. So you'll be receiving specialized extra classes after school to help you learn how to figure out potential solutions to tough problems like what you faced today without resorting to murder. These classes will be mandatory. Keep in mind, this isn't necessarily a punishment so much as it is a precautionary action meant to mitigate further instances of you killing powerful villains in the future if you don't absolutely have to." Aizawa explained.
"All right. Fair enough, though I don't see how there's anything else I could have possibly done." Alex said.
"We'll discuss that in detail in your first class tomorrow. For now, I think that's all we called you in here to talk about. Unless you have anything else you wanted to bring up." Aizawa said before looking at Principal Nezu.
Nezu shook his head. "Nope. That was pretty much everything. I hope the rest of your day is better than what happened earlier, Mercer, though I suppose that isn't setting the bar very high."
"Alright. Bye." Alex stated before getting up and leaving.
After he closed the door behind him, Aizawa waited for a few moments before saying. "Is he really that powerful?"
"Oh yes. Most definitely. So it's a good thing he has decided to be a hero rather than a villain, wouldn't you agree?" Principal Nezu said cheerfully.
Aizawa said nothing in response.
End Notes: So... I only realized how powerful Alex really is when writing the end part here. The dude could legitimately destroy the universe because he can produce infinite biomass so his growth would be infinite and exponential. And he wouldn't even turn into a black hole because there are quirks that can negate gravity meaning he could actually engulf the entire universe without issue. That's honestly a bit much even by my standards but logically speaking that's how that would work. So, uh... I guess we're just going to have to continue the story knowing that's a thing he can do if he really wanted to.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed reading this chapter as much as if not more than I enjoyed writing it! Constructive criticism is always welcome! I can't improve if I don't know what I'm doing wrong after all.
Stay safe out there everyone!
