Dom's POV

A one-night stand.

Letty had offered me a one-night stand.

I had officially gone insane. It was the only logical reason behind why I was actually thinking of accepting this.

I had been stewing over this for a week and half. I tried to keep my distance from her but yet here I was again sitting in the office, the blinds open just enough so that I could see Letty working on a car from where I sat.

'Just one night.' I thought carefully to myself.

The temptation was getting hard to resist. Letty was right, one night and it would be out of my system and things could go back to normal. This wasn't anything more then attraction. We could leave feelings at the door. Nothing would have to change.

At least that's what I kept trying to tell myself. My biggest concern was messing everything up just for one night of sex.

'No doubt amazing sex.' I thought to myself.

I had tried yet again to have sex with another of my regulars that never failed to leave me satisfied. While this time I had been able to perform I'm ashamed to admit it was because I'd been playing that night on replay in my head. I hadn't bothered to try again.

"Fuck it." I swore as I stood suddenly. Enough was enough. We were both adults, both consenting adults. We could be mature about this. No strings, one night. Simple

I took a deep breath and nodded once to myself as I cemented my decision.

"Letty?" I called out as I stepped into the main part of the garage. I watched as she looked up at me from what she'd been working on. She raised an eyebrow as she wiped her hands on a rag.

"What's up?" She asked carefully no doubt from seeing the look on my face. We weren't alone hence warning to me to be cautious. Then there was also the fact I'd spent a week and a half avoiding her like the plague.

"I just need a hand to crunch some numbers for a minute."

"You realise I suck at math right?" She asked confused. I gave her a look and she took the hint.

I shut the door to the office behind us as Letty gazed at me from her place in front of the desk.

"What's up?" She asked again, this time more guarded than before.

"Your… offer." I explained quietly.

"Mmhmm." She hummed watching me carefully. Her face blank from emotion which to be honest was throwing me off a little as I struggled to get a read on her.

"No expiry date, right?" I checked again quietly.

"Right." She nodded as she tilted her head to the side watching me intently.

"Just one night." I stated again, mainly to myself more so than her but again she nodded.

"Right."

"Right." I echoed. Letty sighed at me as she pushed away from the desk.

"One night, no strings. I told you, I'm not looking for more." Letty confirmed as I ran my hand over my face.

"Okay." I whispered with a nod.

"Okay…?" She trailed off with eyebrows raised.

"One night…please." I half begged at the end. I stared straight at her so she knew I was being serious, not teasing or making fun.

"Wow… I honestly expected you to ignore my offer." She whispered shocked.

"I want to… believe me Let I fucking want to, but I can't get you out of my head." I sighed heavily watching as she nodded slowly, processing what I had said.

"When and where?" She asked me seriously and I frowned racking my brain for an answer.

"After races on Saturday night? The boys will go to a party that just leaves us to get rid of Mia." I offered quietly.

"I can take care of Mia." Letty spoke with confidence.

"Okay." I nodded relaxing slightly. She smirked at me as she started for the door.

"Better bring your A game Torretto. I'll be turning down my usual night for this." She said teasingly. Despite the inital awkwardness I couldn't help but laugh along with her.

"You know I will." I flirted with her, making her grin in response.

"We'll see." She sung quietly as she placed her hand on the door ready to open it.

"Saturday?" I asked again to confirm our plans.

"Saturday." She nodded with a small smile before she left me alone in the office.

I let out a breath and sighed suddenly feeling more at ease then I had in days.

Letty's POV

It was a few days after Dom had accepted my offer, as shocking as it had been, and surprisingly things between Dom and I hadn't been awkward. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to Saturday night.

I'd heard the rumours and I was looking forward to seeing how true they were.

"Earth to Letty." Mia sung as I snapped out of my daze and focused on her across the room.

"Sorry Mi, completely spaced. What were you saying?" I said shaking my head as I focused on my friend.

"Where were you? I've been calling you a while." She laughed at me and I smirked.

"You don't want to know." I smirked and she screwed her nose up at me teasingly.

"Your right I don't. I don't know why the two of you don't just get together." I frowned, freezing as I processed her words.

"Who?" I demanded. She couldn't possibly know.

"You and Leo." She rolled her eyes as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. I sighed in relief.

"Right… no. I don't do relationships Mia you know that."

"You've never properly tried." She threw back and me, I shrugged conceding she was right.

"They just don't interest me. Too…messy." I made a face making Mia laugh before I smirked over at her.

"Besides that's what you're for. I can live mess free through you." Making her laugh again and nod.

"Speaking of, can you cover for me tomorrow night again?" I raised an eyebrow hinting for more details.

"We're going on another date; he's really sweet Let. I really like him." I shook my head at the love-sick look that crossed her face but nodded.

"I'll cover." I agreed, rolling my eyes as she let out a happy squeal and clapped her hands before she sprinted across the room to her wardrobe. Little did she knoe she'd be doing me a favour.

"Thank you, I owe you one again. Now help me pick an outfit." I grimaced and groaned as I flopped back on her bed making her laugh.

It was after dinner and we'd all gone our separate ways. I was sitting in the backyard on the table staring up at the stars. It was a clear night, not something we got often so I was taking advantage.

"Hey." I turned my head to the side to see Dom standing beside the table watching me.

"Hey." I offered, moving over slightly so he could join if he wanted before turning my attention back to the night sky.

"What are you doing out here?" He asked as he joined me on the table. I looked up at him with a roll of my eyes making him smirk.

"I'm knitting a sweater." I said seriously making him laugh harder.

"Fair call. I never knew you were one to star gaze." I shrugged.

"I don't get the chance often but there's something calming about the night sky."

"Figured you be more of wave watcher to be honest." He explained and I smiled.

"That's a close second, so you're not far off." I teased and he laughed quietly beside me.

"What about you man?" I asked curiously.

"Bon fires." He offered with a sheepish look as I turned to him weirdly.

"Flames." He clarified. "There's just something about them, the way they dance and move. Its mesmerising." I nodded, seeing his point.

"Explains why your keen to get one going a few times a month. Can't say I've tried it, might need to one day." I said watching him as he nodded with a small smile.

"Are we still good for tomorrow?" He tried to ask casually but the hopeful tone shone through his words, I realised then how anxious he really was.

"Yeah. Mia's taken care of, she's got a study group." He looked at me with narrowed eyes and I stared straight back at him unflinching.

"Right…" He trailed off disbelieving. I said nothing only smirked at him before I turned away.

"Could be worse." I offered him as I shifted my feet to rest on the seat below, before shuffling forwards on the table so I could lay down.

"How?" He asked as he looked down at me.

"She could be doing what I do." He winced but wisely kept his mouth shut.

"How did it all start for you?" He asked me quietly. I looked up at him and met his questioning gaze. I mulled over his question for a bit, trying to find an answer myself. While I was thinking Dom shuffled around and before I knew it we were both lying side by side. Dom was definitely more awkward looking trying to fit on such a tiny space, but he didn't seem fazed.

"You know, I don't know." I answered eventually.

"How do you not know?" Dom asked disbelievingly.

"Do you?" I fired back and he thought about it for a minute, frowning only when he too came up blank.

"I guess it just started with random hook ups in high school and snowballed from there."

"Well you definitely have no shortage." I chuckled thinking of how many skanks swarmed him at the races.

"I have maybe three regulars. I don't like going back when I know they're going to be pains to get rid of."

"Even if the sex is good?" I asked curiously.

"Even then, not worth the headache." I nodded accepting his answer.

"You?" He pushed again as he turned to look at me. I turned and smirked at him.

"Asking me how many I've slept with?" I teased.

"Yeah I am." He said seriously and I nodded conceding it was probably a fair ask given how cool he was being with everything.

"Two."

"Two?" He asked me doubtfully.

"Yep that's it." I confirmed.

"Not what I was expecting." He said confused.

"The first was some guy at a party, it was more of a get it over with type thing." I shrugged.

"I thought girls were protective over their virginity." He half joked.

"Dude I was horny, my hand wasn't cutting it anymore." I teased as I turned my head to look at him again. His eyes shut tightly, groaning in response which made me chuckle.

"You can't say shit like that Let." I laughed a little louder but let it go as I turned my attention back to the sky.

"So you and that guy, how did that come about?" Dom asked after a brief period of silence.

"Leo and I were friends in high school, ran in the same circles. I introduced him the racing scene but he's not as hardcore as us. I don't know, one day we'd partied to hard and it just happened. It was good for us both, so we just made an agreement. The rest is history." I shrugged.

"I've never seen you too together." He spoke and I smirked as I looked over at him again. Even in the dark I could tell his face was red as he realised what he'd said.

"I didn't mean it like that." He mumbled as he threw a hand over his face.

"Mmhmm." I teased laughing quietly but I took pity on him and answered.

"We don't hang out at the races, too risky with you lot there. We were worried you guys might catch on. Besides we prefer to spend our time a different way." I smirked listening to Dom groan again.

"Seriously the mental images I have of you are enough, I don't need anymore to keep me up at night any further then they already do." He mumbled.

"Has it really affected you that much?" I asked him seriously as I turned to him.

"Yeah." He whispered.

"I'm sorry for teasing." He looked over at me and smirked shaking his head.

"No you're not."

"Nope." I agreed laughing with him.

"So curious," I started and he gave me side look in response. "What do I have to look forward to tomorrow night?" I asked as I looked him straight in the eye, he met my gaze. His eyes darkened in thought and I shivered in response.

"A hell of a long night." He promised huskily.

Enjoy!
