Letty's POV

It had been a few days since Dom and I had fallen out. If anyone noticed anything nothing had been said.

Though I had gone out of my way to avoid him as much as I could, I could also tell he was giving me space.

The garage was busy, everyone doing their own thing to get shit done so we could get out at a reasonable hour tonight. It meant unfortunately this was one of the times I couldn't avoid Dom as we worked side by side on a supra.

A low buzz started on the bench between us where my phone was sitting and I lazily glanced down prepared to ignore it.

Leo calling

'Shit.' I thought as my eyes flew to Dom's. He stared at the phone for a few beats before his eyes met mine. I opened my mouth to say something but shut it again when nothing came to mind. I heard his quiet sigh before he turned away continuing to work.

Angrily I snapped the phone up and answered.

"Now's not a good time." I bit out.

"Sorry Let but I need to talk. Can you give me five?" Hearing his panic over the line made me pause. Immediately I knew this wasn't his usual call.

"What's wrong?" I asked worried. I could feel Dom's stare on me but I focused my attention on Leo.

"The chick I was seeing, Melanie?"

"Yeah?" I said continuing to work as I listened so I couldn't be accused for slacking off. I also knew Dom was listening in.

"She's pregnant." I couldn't help my reaction as I dropped my wrench in shock. The clatter gained everyone's attention and I could feel Dom staring me down.

"Woahhhh…are you-" I started ignoring everything around me.

"Its mine. She was a virgin before me." He rushed out.

"Okay… that's… yeah." I said still shocked.

"Yeah…"

"When did you find out?' I asked quietly, looking around I realised I still had an audience. I pushed away from the supra, holding my hand up signalling five to Dom before I left the garage for somewhere private.

"This morning. Shit Letty what am I meant to do?" He asked frantically.

I came to stop on the footpath outside the garage and stared out into the distance.

"You stick by your kid." I offered softly.

"Yeah…" He trailed off.

"How far is she?" I asked quietly.

"Dunno for sure but about five or six weeks."

"I wanna say I'm sorry but it doesn't feel right." I sighed and he let out a sad chuckle.

"Thanks. Dunno how the fuck I'm going to explain this shit to our families."

"Nothing needs to be explained today." I offered.

"I guess."

"She okay?" I asked though I didn't know her it still felt right to ask.

"She's upset and shocked. Worried… said she wasn't sure she was going to tell me."

"I know you two didn't end on good terms in the end but maybe this is a second chance for both of you." I offered softly.

"Yeah."

"I do know one thing though." I sighed softly as I ran a hand through my hair.

"What's that?"

"We can't keep our agreement. Whether you get back with her or not you're going to be a dad and that's more important right now." A loud defeated sigh came over the line in response.

"Yeah, I know."

"Hey, I'm still here though whenever you need to talk." I promised.

"Thanks Let… Listen I don't want to ask this but I don't need anymore surprises coming my way so is there any chance that your…" I laughed in response.

"No you're good on this end I promise. We were always safe and I cover myself as well." I was met with a relieved sigh.

"Thank fuck… I mean don't get me wrong I'd own up but…" Leo tried explaining.

"It's okay. I get it." I offered.

"I'll let you get back to work but thank you for talking with me."

"Anytime."

I hung up the phone and took a minute to collect myself before heading back in to face the music.

Dom was watching me from the door with a worried look on his face.

"Sorry, I needed a minute." I explained quietly as I came to a stop in front of him. He glanced over his shoulder to check it was just us before turning his attention back to me.

"Everything okay?" He asked carefully. I could hear the hesitation in his voice when he spoke.

"Yeah, its all sorted." I sighed heavily.

"If you need time-" He said his tone hardening as he trailed off.

"It wasn't that type of call." I hissed out quietly making him frown.

"I figured that out pretty quick." Dom snapped at me.

"We have work to finish." I muttered angrily as I walked around him and back to the supra.

"Hey, you okay?" Mia asked me as she entered my room that night after dinner.

"I'm fine." I smiled in reassurance.

"The boys were talking before about a call you got at work today. They were worried but Dom snapped and told them to mind their business. What's going on?" I sighed as I sat up and motioned for her to shut the door.

"Leo's ex is pregnant." I sighed heavily.

"Oh Letty." She sighed and I smiled at her worry.

"I'm not upset for the reasons you think I am."

"You ended your agreement?" She guessed and I nodded.

"Yeah…" I sighed sadly.

"There'll be another Let." She promised as she sat beside me, wrapping one arm around my shoulders in comfort.

'There already was.' I thought heavily.

"I'm just sad my friend is going through a difficult time and I lost my easy uncomplicated nights of sex." Explained with a heavy sigh.

"I know but there will be others. Who knows maybe you'll meet mr right instead?" She joked and I laughed along with her.

"Always the romantic." I teased.

"It's Friday and there's a party tonight, wanna go?" She asked hopefully. I bit my lips as I thought it through.

"Who's party?" I asked seriously. As much as I hated to admit it I needed to get Dom out of my head and the only way to do that was find another distraction now mine had permanently fallen through.

"Brad Campbells, the quarterback on the football team? His older brother is throwing a party and Brad's been able to invite people." She hinted and I nodded remembering who he was.

"How we gunna get out of the house?" I asked knowing she must already have a plan.

"Chick flick at the movies, dinner and a drive to your favourite ice cream shop." She answered without batting an eyelid.

"Your dates going tonight isn't he." I guessed with a laugh as she blushed instantly.

"Maybe but I really wanna go with you too." She promised and I smiled.

"Let's do it."

"Eeek! Okay let's go get ready." She demanded before shooing me from the room and into the bathroom.

I shook my head laughing as I closed and locked the bathroom door knowing Mia was raiding my wardrobe for clothing.

Only Vince put up a fight about us going out though a sneaky look at Dom showed his anger at the news, but he said nothing.

"Vince, relax it's a fucking movie. Get off our backs. Let's go Let." Mia snapped as she snatched my car keys out of Vince's hand and stormed out the door.

"Great now you've pissed her off." I muttered at him before following Mia out the door.

"God he's an ass." She snapped as she took the driver's seat. I said nothing as she took control of my car seeing as she knew where she was going, I didn't.

"He's being Vince." I answered rolling my eyes.

"Some days I wish I could swap his shampoo for hair bleach." I barked out a laugh, holding onto my sides as I imagined the look no Vince's face. After a few beats Mia started giggling along with me and just like that her bad mood was over.

Two hours later the party was really starting. I took note of the room full of people my eyes locking on Mia who was with her date and some friends near the kitchen. My mood hadn't improved, in fact it had gotten worse when I realised I was comparing every guy I checked over to a certain male.

"Fuck." I muttered angrily as I tossed back my soda. Mia and I didn't drink at parties that weren't ours. Not because we didn't want to but because we didn't want to rick getting a spiked drink. We had always been careful and despite the need for alcohol tonight I stuck firm to our arrangement.

"You look like the weight of the world is on your shoulders." A voice startled me. I turned to face my company, my eyes scanning him over. Tall, semi built with tanned skinned and black hair. Judging by his school jacket, he was definitely a jock… or if I was wrong about his age he used to be one. He wasn't bad.

"David." He offered a hand and I grinned at him, shaking his hand none the less.

"Letty." He grinned as if my name had granted him the lottery.

"You go to school with Brad?"

"Finished last year. You?" I asked sussing out whether or not I was right.

"Two years ago. I got a scholarship to CU Boulder, I'm home for the summer."

"Impressive. Football?" I asked already knowing the answer.

"Pretty stereotypical huh?" David grinned laughing.

"You have the look." I shrugged grinning.

"Don't hold it against me."

"I'll try." I joked.

"So what's a girl like you hiding in the corner for?"

"Just watching." I offered with a small smile.

"Hey David." A guy nodded in greeting as he and barely clothes redhead passed by.

"Hey." David greeted. I raised an eyebrow as the redhead threw me a scathing look as she passed by.

"She one of yours?" I asked David and he grinned sheepishly, his hand rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

"We had one night. Some don't get the hint." I nodded taking a sip of my soda.

"I know that feeling." I mumbled.

My eyes swept the room again and landed on a group that made me stop cold.

'Oh fuck no.' I thought angrily.

Dom's eyes met mine at the same time and we sized each other up. He glanced to my right and his expression hardened before he sought out Mia in the crowd.

"You okay?" David asked as he caught the exchange and the sudden tension.

"Family." I offered as Mia met my gaze with panic. Thankfully she was alone with friends her date had either left or gone elsewhere. Either way she was lucky.

"Letty?" Leon called out confused as he caught sight of me. That had Vince snapping to attention.

"I have to go deal with this." I offered David and he nodded in understanding.

"Sure. Hopefully I'll see you around again?"

"I hope so." I smiled as I pushed off the wall I'd been leaning on and walked towards my Family. From the corner of my eye I could see Mia doing the same thing.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Vince seethed as we both reached him. I raised an eyebrow at his tone.

"Socialising." Mia snapped back.

"Movie huh? Load of shit."

"Quit it the both of you." Dom snapped at Mia and Vince before an argument could erupt any further.

"Fuck off Dom, what about our conversation a couple of months back huh?" Vince threw back at Dom.

"I said leave it Vince."

"Whatever, it's on your head if they get pregnant from some asshole." He spat before he left in a huff. I eyed Dom up wondering what conversation Vince had been referring to.

"Leave us." Dom motioned to Leon and Jesse.

"Don't need to ask twice." Leon mumbled before he and Jesse high tailed it out.

"What are you even doing here?" Mia demanded to her brother.

"We were invited."

"It's a high school slash college party who the hell would invite you?" She threw back.

"A racer. Why the hell are you both here?" He deflected back to us.

"We just wanted a night out. No big deal." Mia scoffed.

"It is when you lie."

"Please if I had of told you the truth you would have banished us to our rooms."

"You may have been surprised. No drinking, we all leave at eleven." Dom ordered, shooting me a don't-push-me. I raised an eyebrow in response but said nothing which he must have taken as acceptance before he stormed away.

"That was fucking weird." Mia stated loudly as she looked at me for clarification.

"Your guess is as good as mine girl." I shrugged off.

"So my date is ruined for the night so tell me, who was that guy you were getting chatty with?"

"A possible solution." I smirked at her as she laughed. 'Hopefully.'

"Need a cover?"

"You do owe me one."

"I've got ya back. Just make sure you're not gone for long."

"Got it. Thanks Mia."
