Summary: "You…" he tried to argue but silver hue eyes stared at his blue ocean ones dangerously despite the smile on her face. "Ah, ah, ah…that's enough, Enji" she gleefully laughed inside to see her husband fuming. "Bu-" "No" "You!" "Anata" her smile grew wider. There is silence before he answers, "…yes dear". "Eh, you're going to be teaching at U.A?" heterochromatic eyes stared at the woman in front of him, surprised that his mother's announcement. Todoroki nee Shimuzu Kohri sat in front of him. White long hair had grown past her waist and styled in a simple low ponytail. She wore simple clothes yet she was still beautiful in them despite their simplicity. She'd look like an elegant miko if she'd worn their clothes.

It was without a doubt that Todoroki Shouto got his mother's beauty from her.

The small smile that he got from her appeared, the dimple on her cheek showing before she answered, "Uhn! Nezu-sensei called me a few months back and asked for a favor since they're lacking some teachers" she handed her grown up son his refilled cup, Shouto thanking her as he continued to eat his breakfast.

It was quiet for it was only the two of them, who were eating. His siblings had left to work or went to university. As for his father, Todoroki Enji was still asleep in his parent's shared room. Exhausted from the big operation that happened just last night that took him and his sidekicks until daybreak to wrap it up and end the case with the police.

"So will you be teaching immediately?" he questioned, curious and somewhat excited that he gets to see his mother in school. Unlike other kids his age, who had a parent that taught in the same school as them, he wanted to show off his mother.

Imaginary red and white flowers lazily popped behind him, his chopsticks still in his mouth as he pictured it in his mind. He and his mother bonding not only within the premises of their home but at school as well. Going to school together and back home. Lunch breaks with each other. Saying 'hi' and probably some small talk when they happen to cross one another in the hallway. His mother, asking for help in carrying some teaching material and he'd gladly help while students and teachers alike would praise him and his mother, respectively, because he was such a caring son and it was due to her upbringing.

What a life.

Shouto mentally and darkly chuckled at the thought because he knew that his father would be fuming jealous.

'Ahh, I can already imagine his face' he hid a dark smile as he drank his tea.

Kohri hummed, looking at the wooden ceiling of their dining room as if the answer was there. "Yes! Since Nezu-sensei told me that the person who was supposed to be teaching needed to leave for an emergency. They had to process the documents first and I had to renew my quirk license to be able to teach since it is a school for future heroes. Although, I might come later to talk to Nezu-sensei."

He continued to listen to his mother's words, finding it soothing to hear them. If he didn't know that his mother's quirk was 'Sub Zero' then he'd think it had to be related to keeping a person calm through her voice or mere presence.

"What will you be teaching then?" he asked yet again, imagining his mother teaching in his class and then praising him with his performance.

Expectant chibi blue and silver colored eyes stared at Kohri's chibified form.

A dot appeared behind her before it was followed by two more.

And like that incident when she had finished her appointment with the quirk doctor along with her parents. She tilted her head to the side and answered in a monotonous voice.

"Eh, I'll be staying in the General Education Department, Shouto."

His innocent ceramic cup immediately turned to a block of ice.

II

Shouto couldn't exactly remember how and when they first met through the handful and short memories that they shared during their childhood. They were introduced at a fairly young age since their mothers were and still are the best of friends until now. But one of the memories that he could only vividly recall with him was when they had argued about the topics on 'heroes'.

"All Might is the better hero!

"No, Otou-san is!"

They were probably around 5 years old when this conversation happened. 'Heroes' and 'Quirks' were one of the top conversation starters during their age aside from 'playing'.

"Nuuh! All Might is the Number One hero which makes him the coolest. Your stinking Oyaji's just Number Two."

"Otou-san may be Number Two but Okaa-san told me that you don't have to be in the Top Ten to be a cool one. And I'm gonna be a hero just like him!"

"Hah! I bet Kohri-baa-san said those words to make you feel better 'coz you're just gonna be a sidekick forever when you become a hero."

"Then, I'll become Number One."

"Pfft! You, Number One? Sorry, but I'll be the one who is going to defeat All Might and be the next top hero! Why don't you just be the Number Two hero, like your Oyaji!"

"Do you want to bet on it, Kacchan?"

"Bring it, half-half!"

III

Blue and silver eyes stared at crimson glaring ones.

When Bakugo Katsuki opened the door of his new classroom, he is met with an annoyingly familiar half and half differently colored hair and eyes. Shouto, nonchalantly, nodded his head in greeting and walked past him to go to the toilet.

A vein popped on the ash blonde forehead before roughly placing a hand on Shouto's shoulder.

"You!" he gritted his teeth, trying to stay quiet despite his explosive outburst just a second ago. Thankfully there wasn't anyone in the hallway and their new classmates were minding their own business, not having heard of the two teens' interaction.

Shouto raised a brow, wondering what Bakugo had wanted.

"Not a word. We do not know each other and avoid one another unless needed." Bakugo gruffly said.

Shouto just stared at him, unsure why the ash blond didn't want to associate with him. Not wanting to agitate him, he just made a small nod.

With a huff, Bakugo left him and finally went inside their new classroom.

It took Shouto a while to get back, mistakenly taking a wrong turn. But when he had arrived, a pair of students were blocking the entrance of their classroom. He wondered why they hadn't entered and was simply staring at the commotion happening inside.

He stood behind them and could only come with one word inside his head,

'Ahh'

He could see that Bakugo was being berated by one of their classmates, one who had come from the Iida clan. Something about respecting the table that was used by their previous senpais and the one's made the desk.

He did not mind the commotion but when he heard the long-forgotten nickname that he had used on a particular ash blond boy during their childhood from the green-haired teen, memories of certain times resurfaced.

'Kacchan, huh?'

Because Midoriya Izuku isn't the only childhood friend of one Bakugo Katsuki.

IV

"I-it's you!" she blinked at the newly ranked Number One hero shakily pointing a finger towards her. The bulky man had approached the Todoroki couple backstage when the Hero Billboard Chart event had just finished.

Todoroki Enji stared at him wondering what he wanted from his wife. The Number Two hero glared at All Might because the rabbit-looking hair with an eat-shiting-smile on his face 24/7 hero was making goo-goo eyes on his wife and he wouldn't allow that because he was the only one who's only allowed to make goo-goo eyes on her!

A sudden pain made his threatening but not so threatening glare stop when Kohri pinched the flesh on his back. An innocent smile was still on her face as if she was not doing anything wrong.

"Ara, ara~ be nice Enji" he started to sweat buckets when the closed eye smile was directed at him with a chilly aura. An imaginary Mt. Fuji with a blizzard storm happening was behind his wife.

"Y-yes, dear."

Kohri reverted her attention back to the still shaking man and perked up when the woman's attention was on him again.

"You know of me, All Might-kun?" she tilted her head and floating question marks appeared on her head when the hero was…squealing like a girl?

She began to sweatdropped because never in both of her lives has she seen a squealing hero similar to All Might. "A-are you alright?" Kohri is genuinely concerned about him.

And All Might suddenly went towards her, grasping both of her hands with his large ones and ignoring the intense flames that suddenly came out of Endeavor's face before saying, "You're my inspiration and idol, Shimizu-san!"

"EHHHHHHHHH?"

V

It is still a funny sight when Todoroki Kohri sees a flustered All Might in front of her.

'Does he really need to buff up when he sees me?' she unconsciously showed an awkward smile when said hero suddenly buffed up from his skeleton-like figure. Every one in the faculty knew of the man's situation, even if she knew waaay beforehand since they were informed by Principal Nezu.

"Shi-Shimizu-senpai!" The man is pink, stuttering like a high school girl seeing their crush.

It was adorable, really.

Silver eyes are amused at his antics, "All Might-kun!" she said his name cheerfully and he, later on, bowed his head in a perfect 90 degrees.

In the Todoroki household, someone's husband's senses were tingling. Head suddenly jerked up, groggy eyes opening frantically looking sideways, before thinking it was just a dream then falling back to sleep.

"It is nice to see you here, Shimizu-senpai! I didn't know senpai would be teaching here not until they announced it this morning" if possible MORE imaginary pink flowers were coming out of the muscular figure of the Number One hero, spitting like a fountain.

She smiled, her eyes closed and her head slightly tilted to the side, "Ah, it was a last minute call by Nezu-sensei."

It shocked All Might when she slightly bowed to him after, "Well then, I'll be in your care and the others" she told him and the inner fanboy couldn't help but stutter and hold her hands with his large ones, "I may be an amateur with teaching but…leave it to me, senpai!" and he was off.

In the Todoroki household, the same person suddenly got up from his sleep. Forcefully blinked the sleep away from those cerulean blue eyes and couldn't help but scowl before muttering, "My husband's senses are tingling."

VI

Todoroki Enji gawked at the sight of his dearest wife. He knew that whatever Kohri wore would fit and look good at her. And the one she wore wasn't any different…however he did not know what occasion it was that would make her wear such clothing.

Silver hue eyes blink nervously at the expression that her husband was making.

"Do I look weird in it?" she looked at herself in the full wall mirror once more. A plain white shirt underneath a navy blue blazer, its sleeves were folded just below her elbows. She did not know if she should have worn the pencil skirt but she opted for the skinny comfortable jeggings.

Kohri frowned once more, not sure what didn't look good on what she was wearing.

"I'm not really updated with the fashion styles nowadays but I did ask Fuyumi what would look good as a professional high school teacher."

"High school teacher?" The change on the Flame Hero's face was left unnoticed by her, too engrossed in whether she should change her outfit or not.

Kohri hummed, "Yeah. I'm not a Pro hero so I really don't have a costume to wear. Nezu-sensei told me that I can request one but I refused and just asked for support accessories that could help with my quirk. Thirteen-sensei couldn't give me any tips and Kayama-sensei…ah, I mean Midnight-sensei gave me a lot but…" she chuckled nervously, "her sense of fashion isn't exactly my style and she's younger so I don't think I am that appealing." comical tears suddenly came out which disappeared when no words were being uttered by Enji.

"Enji? Is something wrong?" her head tilted to the side, worried why he was unnaturally silent.

"You..." Enji started.

'Me?'

"Why didn't you tell me you were going to be teaching as a high school teacher?!" the Flame Hero comically asked in anger.

"Eh? I didn't tell you?"

"KOOOOHRI!"

VII

The students all quieted down at the arrival of their homeroom adviser. They looked at her, wondering who she was aside from just being their teacher.

"Hello Class 1-C, I will be your homeroom adviser starting today. You can call me Kohri-sensei. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

VIII

The sound of the door opening and a soft, 'Tadaima' could be heard

Kohri hums knowing who it was.

A mother's instinct, if one wishes to know what it was.

One silver eye peeks at her son, who just came from school, seeing his distant figure across the open hallway that she sat on. He had repeated his greeting when Fuyumi, bless her heart, came out of the dining room saying that she was cooking one of his favorites for dinner.

She hummed, closing her eyes as her two children continued to chat. Listening to Fuyumi, ever the loving sister she was to her siblings, reminded Shouto to do what he needed to do which Kohri could imagine Shouto just nodding. The sound of his footsteps then resumed and disappeared when Shouto took a turn towards where his room was.

Counting from 1 to 100, she could hear yet again those soft thumping sounds before it stopped beside her. The heat radiating from his right, which Shouto had inherited from his father, warmed her side as he took his place beside her. Her youngest child had always been affectionate whenever it was just the two of them. Sometimes he'd do it just to spite his father, his siblings doing it to their Pro Hero father as well. It was just light teasing for the siblings to do to their father, who wasn't secretly, to them as his family, very affectionate to his dearest wife. It was an annoying reminder to Enji that he couldn't be with his family, especially his wife, because of his work.

But to Kohri, she could feel that Shouto was like this because he was the youngest. The spoiled one even if she thought that she gave her attention and love towards her four children equally.

"How was your day, Shouto?" she questioned. They hadn't gone home together, Shouto's class had taken an awful lot of time before they were dismissed.

"It was interesting," he muttered in reply, laying down the wooden planks of their hallway and placing his head on his mother's lap.

'See, spoiled.'

Internally laughing at her comment, she stroked his differently colored hair as he closed his eyes. His form reminded her of a napping cat while his mannerism from his father. She guessed that her children wouldn't believe her if she ever told them that their father had a liking for lap pillows.

"Why was it interesting?" she didn't stop her ministrations, gently toying with his smooth hair.

"All Might's our teacher for the Foundational Hero Studies class..." he gave a small smile, stifling a laugh when he remembered something, "He had a small booklet with him when he instructed our class."

The memory was blurry but Kohri could imagine a buffed up All Might, reading a tiny instruction manual to his students. She let out a chuckle, covering her mouth.

If anyone had seen the two of them together smiling like that, they could see that Shouto was completely a male version of his mother in her younger years if he had gotten all of her colorings.

Fuyumi had called them to eat. The three of them sat around the low wooden table of their dining area. Shouto had continued his story when he was enthusiastically asked by Fuyumi while she quietly listened. He told them how he was partnered up with Shoji Mezo, who had a mutant quirk and how they battled Ojiro Mashirao & Hagakure Tooru.

"What about you Okaa-san? How was your day?" Fuyumi asked.

She waved her hand, "Same old, same old. It's different from teaching and looking after preschoolers but it's fun. I have a student, who's quite interesting."

Shouto perked at this, curious at her words, "How so?"

"Because he reminds me of someone and he wants to be a hero, too." she smiled, the color purple in her mind along with cats and yellow caterpillars.

IX

Kohri has always been reminded that she has been reincarnated in the BNHA world, especially to whom she has married and the family that they have created. But in spite of this, it has become a part of her and fully ingrained in her. That she and the people around her aren't just mere characters that were created by someone in the world she first lived in but they were all real people, who had their own feelings and thoughts.

Her being able to change things especially in the Todoroki household was proof that their dynamic was different from what she could remember reading and watching once upon a time. But there were still some aspects that she couldn't change because it was out of her control.

And one of those was Touya's obsession to be the Number One hero.

Enji didn't directly light the fire within their eldest but she could tell from her mother's instinct that he had felt the hidden desire Enji had wanted in his younger days.

'Touya had seen the small sparks that remained from Enji that were once burning fiercely with passion.'

It felt like fate was mocking her, telling her that things would still be the same even if she had created a positive impact on her husband.

Memories of long ago had resurfaced.

The image of her adult son covered in burnt scars and staples, his hair dyed in black looking manically at her youngest and husband, gleefully smiling as he revealed to the both of them his real colored hair that was white,

"Aww~ Don't be that way… Why must you call me by my villain moniker… When I have such a respectable name, which is Touya!"

He danced clumsily, without a care in the world as he revealed everything to not just his family but the whole world as the heroes fought the League of Villains.

"Come dance with your son in hell, Todoroki Enji!"

But they're all genuinely happy now. Even her dearest husband, who had wanted nothing but that title long ago, was happy.

"Why don't you go talk to Touya about it?"

Her husband had asked as she caressed his fiery red hair that laid on top of her lap. She had asked Fuyumi to look out for Natsuo and baby Shouto for a while as the two of them talked. Touya had left the house yet again, with an angry huff, to go to Sekoto Hill.

"You know I can't be the one to that, dear."

Because there were just things that she shouldn't be the one to make the change.

"Touya looks up to you more than you know. You just have to be sincere to him and stop running away from what you fear the most. Because you are his Otou-san."

Enji stood up, fear was evident in his ocean blue eyes. It was frantic and unfocused.

"But what if I say the wrong thing? Between the both of us, you're better with the children. What if I accidentally make his passion burn more fiercely? Did you see the look on his face when Shouto was born? I-I..." he could remember in his childhood how his own father had done to him and the result that molded him to who he was before meeting Kohri during high school. He could imagine the 'what if's' that could happen to his son, especially when his body was weaker than his due to the constitution Touya had inherited from Kohri's quirk.

Frosted slender fingers held his flaming cheeks tenderly. Smoke was going around his face when he snapped back to reality that Kohri was trying to cool him down. There was moisture coming from his face, when their opposing quirks had met, but he didn't mind them.

"Shhh" Kohri had placed their forehead together, her eyes closed. Enji had calmed down when he had felt her skin on his face. He cradled it, pushing them to his face to feel the coolness of it. It helped act as an anchor to him.

"I..." he pulled away from her, placing both of their hands down on his lap. Ocean blue eyes stared at them while he played with her palms, gently pressing on it, his mind somewhat clearer, "All I know is just how to be a hero. I still don't know how to be a proper father even after all these years." he finally confessed to her, his insecurities choking him.

"You know there isn't a proper or perfect father right? I'm not the perfect mother to our children either Enji." said man would have protested at her words but Kohri continued on, "It just shows at the end of the day, no matter who we are, may we be a hero, villain or civilian, we're all just human beings. And who says you can't be both a hero and father to our children? For all I know you said to me that I was your hero just a few months ago. And I'm also your wife." she had laughed when he saw his ears turn pink at her words.

"What if I can't extinguish the flames that I've fanned on him?"

"You don't have to extinguish it, anata. You just need to keep it under control before the fire can burn dangerously onto others or itself."

"What if he turns out to be like me in the future?"

"He won't. You're you and Touya is Touya. And...you aren't your father as well, Enji." Kohri knew that Enji had been acting like this not from his personality but how he was brought up by his father. "You just have to be sincere with what you have to say to Touya. If not, try again or show it in another way."

"Then wha-"

"Todoroki Enji!"

Silence envelops the couple, the swishing of the koi coming from the pond could be heard from where they sat. It takes the head of the Todoroki household to speak once again, "Do...you really think I could do it?"

Without missing a beat Kohri had huffed and smiled at him tenderly and said,

"Yes, because you're Endeavor."

With that kind of sight in front of him, Enji inevitably gingerly smiled and said "Okay then."

Getting up, he walked towards the door. The Flame Hero slid the door open, but Kohri could tell he was still nervous when he turned to look back over his shoulder to stare at her with weary eyes. She just smiled at him and Enji could only sigh in defeat, resolve shone in his now brilliant ocean blue eyes.

And she hopes and prays that her words would ingrain themselves to other people and let them convey it to those who need them the most.

Because it is only one of the ways that she could make a change.

X

And change did happen.

Kohri didn't know what had transpired when Enji had left to fetch Touya that day or what words were exchanged but the atmosphere that was between father and son had shifted albeit awkward at first. But it was in a positive way.

Because in front of her, on the television that she was watching was her eldest son. She had let out a nostalgic smile at his full blown grinning face, similar to Enji when they were still in high school. A name was placed below his figure talking to the reporter that was interviewing him.

Blue Flame Hero: Inferno

XI

The alarms that echoed throughout the school made her turn cold.

Aizawa had asked her to help them restrain the media that was gathering outside the school, along with Present Mic. It was supposed to be Cementoss but he was nowhere to be found.

Kohri was hesitant at first, rooted on her assigned seat in the faculty room.

Many thoughts swirled around her head, Aizawa stared at her questioningly, "Kohri-san?"

Hearing her name, she snapped out of her thoughts before getting up hastily. Covering the unpleasant feeling with a shaky smile, she apologized. Aizawa thought nothing of it and the both of them ran towards the gate.

XII

When the lights suddenly turned off, Shouto had an ominous feeling. It doubled when a swirl of purple and black wisp suddenly appeared at the bottom of the stairs just in front of the fountain.

Without thinking he pressed the button on his hero costume, hoping that whatever he had felt wasn't as dire as he thought.

But when Shouto saw the countless villains that appeared in that hole, he really hoped that at least one of his parents or siblings had received his distress call even if communications had gone down.

XIII

Nobody could stop her when she felt the bracelet on her wrist had continuously vibrated and blinked in flashes of red. The unsettling feeling she had all morning made sense to her now. It was the day that her son's class would be in danger with villains invading the school, who were in search to kill the Symbol of Peace. Kohri, on instinct, pressed a hidden button on her bracelet. It beeped and sent a distress call that would be received by Enji in a matter of time. She wasn't sure if her husband had gotten the same call from Shouto.

Hastily opening the window, she jumped, pure adrenaline rushing all over her body. Ignoring the shouts of her students, ice formed underneath her flats, glad all her footwear had small spikes underneath them.

Screw the stairs, her son's class needed help.

Her motherly instincts were screaming at her even if she knew that her son and his classmates would be alright in the end. Aizawa and Thirteen would be fine as well although sustaining injuries.

'But…'

She wasn't entirely sure, even with her foreknowledge, which had gone blurry and missing. Kohri does not know if things would still be the same because her presence alone had changed things that she intentionally and unintentionally did.

'Please be safe. Please be safe' those words were chanted like a mantra.

An ice path continued to form that allowed her to go to the USJ facility faster. Not knowing that she had just passed the younger brother of Ingenium, her thoughts still on the safety of her son.

Sliding through the damaged door, Kohri stopped to see some of the students of 1-A surrounding Thirteen. Their eyes focused on her when she arrived. They sighed in relief that there was another adult to help them even if they didn't know who Kohri exactly was. She wasn't their teacher but they have a hunch of her identity with the ice that left on her wake and the familiar white and steel grey eyes that she possesses.

With a smile on her face, she said to them "Help is here."

XIV

His ice disintegrated as the hand of his opponent neared his face. He could not move. It was ironic that he was frozen in place and it was because of fear.

Shouto cursed, berating himself that his training with his parents did not pay off with how he was acting in the situation that they were in.

'So much for being a Pro's child' Shouto bitterly thought, telling himself he should have used his flames rather than ice.

Placing his arms in a defensive position he waited for the impact but his heterochromatic eyes widened when he saw something fast approaching towards them in his peripheral vision.

The scene in front of him suddenly turned dramatically.

In slow motion, his mother approached them. Gliding towards him and his opponent, a path of ice beneath her soles. She suddenly changed her form, striking the teenager a few years older than him. She was gliding and twirling before coming into a full stop.

'Okaa-san?!' Shouto isn't the only one surprised at the woman's appearance.

"Se-senpai?!" All Might gawked at the sight of the intimidating figure of the usually sweet and kindhearted woman.

Silver eyes dangerously stared at the ash blue haired teen and the mindless Nomu.

"Okaa-san!" Shouto jogged towards his mother. Her demeanor changed, showing a reassuring smile once he approached. Placing a hand and caressing his cheek with motherly affection, "Don't worry, the others are coming. And your Otou-san is on his way. But for the time being, leave this to All Might-kun and I."

"But Okaa-san" he made a protest but Kohri stopped him.

She chuckled.

"I may not be a Pro hero but I was trained to be one in the past, Shouto."

She stepped forward.

Silver hue eyes glared dangerously at Nomu.

Fog was coming out beneath her feet as well as frost that was slowly spreading on the floor.

Shouto and his classmates shivered at the cold coming from the woman in front of them. A deadly smile appeared followed by a chilly breath that escaped from her lips. Eyes looked like slits. Their knees were beginning to quiver with the killing intent that Kohri was emitting and the fog creeping their feet.

"Nobody hurts my son and his classmates and gets away with it."

Hovering spiky ice particles suddenly appeared. All were dangerously pointing at the mindless Nomu and its master.

Kohri pushed forward, keeping her body low, the ice boosting her speed followed by the multiple icicles she had created.

"Let's dance shall we?"

XV

They are in awe of her.

She didn't have the build and the strength of the mindless Nomu or All Might but she could throw accurate and fast punches at him.

"Todoroki …" Shouto doesn't have to look to see that the voice belonged to Kirishima, "…are you sure your Okaa-san isn't a secret Pro Hero or something?"

Two toned eyes didn't dare remove his gaze at his mother's elegant form, too mesmerized like his peers. Instead he mutters to his classmate beside him, "I'm not sure myself."

XVI

All Might overexerted himself, reverting back to his skeleton form. She is unsure if it is shorter than the one she knows in her fuzzy memory.

She created a wall of ice, covering his form from the rest of the world. Ice crawled to his wound to stop the bleeding and ease the pain.

All Might thanked her, nodding his head but dread-pools everyone because even if they know Kohri is there, nobody can fight against Nomu who was steadily getting up and slowly regenerating itself back.

She stood up, her face paler than ever.

"You know" she coughed, fog leaving her freezing lips and tongue.

Everyone looks at her almost frozen form.

Irritated red eyes stared at her, 'We were almost this close in killing him!'

"All Might-kun may be great but he isn't the only one you know." a shaky smile appeared on her frosted face, small cracks were made on the thin layer of ice that clung to her cheeks.

And on cue, the glass dome shattered into a million pieces. Another bulky figure suddenly appeared behind Nomu, flames flying everywhere.

The distinct sound of Present Mic announcing their arrival could be heard around the facility.

It was nostalgic how the fragments of fire and ice fluttered like cherry blossom petals in the wind. The scene was eerily beautiful. Kohri could remember her fight with Enji during their freshman battle of the Sports Festival. But instead of fighting against each other, they were side by side.

Silver hue eyes stared at furious ocean blue ones.

"Right, Enji?"

XVII

The fight in front of them is a scene that they will never forget.

Especially to one Todoroki Shouto, who witnessed both his parents fighting together against the mindless beast.

It was amazing that he could not understand how they worked so well together with their opposing quirks.

As Enji fought with Nomu hand to hand, Kohri out of nowhere encased the black figure with thick ice. The beast roared, struggling from its prison. Hands hardly clasped together, Kohri tried her best to keep Nomu in place. Kurogiri out of nowhere entered the battle. She shouted something and her husband was quick to respond.

Fire and ice

Yet…

"As if they are in harmony" he whispered then blinked, looking at both his hands in awe. Both of his parents' quirks are within him, coincide with him. And it made him wonder the potential he has if he could master both quirks.

Would he be elegant and majestic like his mother and ferocious but controlled like his father?

The possibility was endless.

Shouto couldn't wait. The hunger to be better ironically filled him.

XVIII

'Why isn't he down yet?' she huffed, noting the difference between her and a Pro Hero as Enji continued to fight Nomu. It didn't make it any easier when Kurogiri had joined the fray.

'I feel like I'm forgetting something.' with a wave of her hand, a shield is made to cover Shouto and his classmates.

'It's like he's a mindless puppet…'

Her eyes widened in realization.

She clicked her tongue, annoyed that she had forgotten such a thing.

"Enji!"

"On it!"

She dashed towards Shigaraki while simultaneously creating a dome of thick ice to those around them.

Through the gaps of the hand attached to his face, Shigaraki's crimson eyes could be seen. They were wide, when she rushed towards him before the wisp of purple mist from Kurogiri appeared beside him.

"Flashfire Fist!"

The sound of glass breaking was heard, the figure of the Nomu puncturing through the glass dome of USJ as it sailed across the sky.

Red eyes glared at the Todoroki couple, annoyed that his plans were foiled.

"Let's go, Kurogiri" he didn't have to tell his companion as dark purple wisps have enveloped his injured body.

XIX

When everything was done, Kohri collapsed.

Shouto, concerned, ran towards her while Enji didn't openly fuss for his wife's state, "Otou-san, what happened to Okaa-san."

Enji placed a hand on his wife's unconscious form before saying, "Your Okaa-san can usually resist the cold but because she overexerted herself her body reached below the temperature that her body can usually handle. She just needs to be warmed up slowly" and on cue, Endeavor used his power. Both father and son could see the frost slowly leaving Kohri's body.

"It has to be done slowly for it might affect her organs. Worst case scenario, she could have a cardiac arrest. It's like reviving a normal frozen person from the dead. But since your Okaa-san's quirk is 'Sub Zero', she just needs to be warmed up a little. Kohri was literally never a warm person to begin with" Enji paused before looking at Shouto.

"Let this be a lesson and reminder to you. All quirks are a part and/or an extension of the body. Thus it has a limit on how you use it or how your body can handle it. In this case, your mother's weakness is endurance when it comes to quirk battles. Since you have inherited both of our powers, it will be easier for you to simultaneously heat or cool your temperature. But like your mother's weakness, you have to also know how to regulate your body temperature slowly. Heat too fast, you might have a cardiac arrest or organ failure. Cool too fast, you'll damage your brains. I'm not that knowledgeable so it is best to ask the professionals about this." Enji ended his small lecture with Shouto, who digested the information that he was told, while still looking at his mother.

A groan could be heard and Shouto heaved a sigh of relief.

"Enji…Shouto…" she muttered, hazy silver eyes sluggishly and with struggle peeked behind heavy lids but closed after a few seconds. Kohri brought her hand up slowly and placed it on her youngest's cheek. Softly caressing it with her thumb, Shouto held her hand tenderly before saying, "We're okay, Okaa-san."

Kohri could only mutter, "That's good" from her exhausted form as she succumbed to the darkness once again. Shouto placed her hand back to where her other one was.

Endeavor then took his wife in his arms and carried her bridal style. His quirk was still activated to keep on lowering Kohri's body temperature slowly.

"I'll take her to Shuzenji-sensei…ah, you probably know her as Recovery Girl. Just to make sure she's fine. She'll probably wake up later this afternoon so I'll leave her in your hands. As much as I want to stay with your Okaa-san, Shuzenji-sensei would just kick me out and I might cause problems for the staff, especially Nezu-sensei. I also have to go back to the incident that I left to my sidekicks to see if there were any problems needed to be attended to. You should probably follow up your Okaa-san's support wear."

"Support wear?"

"Ahh. She asked Power Loader from the Support Department to make a specialized collar, bracelet and anklet that would know her temperature and regulate it if it gets too low for her body to handle. That way this kind of incident would more or less be prevented in the future. You can probably also ask about what I told you a while ago, Shuzenji-sensei is one of the best doctors after all."

Shouto nodded.

"Give me or any of your siblings a call if you need any assistance, Shouto."

"Hai"

Heterochromatic eyes looked at his father's retreating form, mixed emotions swirled around those two toned orbs.

"And Shouto,"

He looked at his father, who was looking over his shoulder. A small smile graced his usually intimidating flamed face before saying, "You did well. Kohri would say the same if she were conscious."

Pride and happiness swelled his heart but at the same time he felt bitter for only doing so little.

As much as he tried to stop it, a small smile appeared on his face.

"Arigato, Otou-san."

For now, he'll take it as a badge he needed to wear to serve as a reminder.

It wasn't a surprise when classes were cancelled due to the incident that transpired. His father had told the medical staff, who had already wheeled Aizawa and Thirteen, that his mother did not need any further medical attention, saying that he had already dealt with it and would be alright for her to stay at Recovery Girl's office to rest up.

They had agreed and after changing he was waiting for his mother to wake up.

What surprised him was, Bakugo was there with him.

"Stupid! I'm not waiting up on Kohri-baa-san! I'm waiting for stupid Deku to wake up you know!" He yelled, face red. A knowing smile on Shouto's face, that the ash blonde porcupine cared as well but didn't openly say it. Maybe there were benefits for knowing him during his childhood even if he got to spend only a little bit of time with him.

The explosive teen's attitude was still the same, like a gremlin who thought he was better and deemed worthless people as 'extras'. But when Shouto had seen him yet again for the first time after many years, the air around his somewhat childhood friend had become different in a good way.

"So, how's Kohri-baa-san?" Bakugo gruffly asked after his tiny tsundere moment. One hand was placed around his neck while the other was inside one of the pockets of his baggy pants. His crimson eyes stared at the sleeping figure of his mother's best friend.

"Recovery Girl said she'd be fine and only needs rest since she overexerted herself. After all, Okaa-san isn't like a Pro Hero like Otou-san or All Might."

"Tch, she should have just left it to them." he turned around to go to Midoriya's room.

His words might've sounded harsh to those who fully didn't know or understand him but it held a different meaning to the bicolored haired teen. Although his attitude was rough around the edges, Shouto didn't mind. Because that made him who Bakugo Katsuki really is.

Sweet like the scent of burnt sugar that he emitted but dangerous and explosive like his quirk.

XXI

It was summer break when they met yet again. Granted it was always summer vacation that they usually get to see each other, often. But he could remember that they were still in preschool and that made Katsuki see Kohri in a new light.

Shouto felt that Katsuki respected his mother due to a lot of things. The first thing that comes to the top of his mind was that she was his mother's friend, who could stand up to his mother's personality that was similar to his. Another probably was that she was the wife of the Number Two hero. And the last thing he could think of was that she was kind and made him those treats that he loves very much because it was spicy and fit him just perfectly.

But he saw something different when it was that day. The memory is blurry, he was not sure if it was still correct since it was more than 10 years ago or if it happened before or after when they had first argued about All Might and his father.

Shouto could somehow remember that Katsuki was talking about quirks and showing it off to him and his mother. Showing small sparks with his little chubby hands and telling, mostly to his mother, that his quirk was the greatest and that he will be the Number One hero, beating All Might.

He could remember Katsuki saying something about knowing someone who was quirkless, "Deku" he'd call him. Sprouting lots of stuff that made him uncomfortable.

Shouto then stared at his mother and wondered, 'What kind of expression is she wearing?' and 'What do you call that?' His young mind wanted to know but did not dwell on it as Kohri approached Katsuki.

She held his tiny hands into hers. Shouto could remember Katsuki being a red tomato, stuttering and saying mean words that held no meaning behind it.

He and Katsuki would stare at her eyes, turn quiet and ask themselves, 'Why does she have a faraway look on her face?' they would wonder if something happened that an adult that they respected and loved dearly could make such a face.

"Katsuki-kun…" Kohri's voice was soft, she was sometimes warmer than his father and it made him question how can his mother do that with a quirk like hers? He could recall his Fuyumi-nee and Natsuo-nii saying that those with cold hands have warm hearts just like them, which he wondered if it was really true since his Touya-nii had retaliated and said he was warm hearted too, despite having a fire quirk.

The ash blonde child would stare with his crimson eyes and look at her silver grey ones. "Wh-what is it, Kohri-baa-san?" He stuttered but didn't say anything more, seeing it was not appropriate. Her hands were still on his little ones, pressing on it lightly as if she was playing with a cat's paw.

"Katsuki-kun, wants to be a hero right?" she asked him slowly and those crimson eyes would yet again sparkle in delight, blubbering lots of things. Only hearing All Might this and that.

"I think heroes like that are cool as well…" Kohri began and paused for a while before smiling brightly, it captivated them both, "But you know what's cooler than a hero who saves everyone and beats the villains? I believe it is those who are also kind and do not discriminate. Those who have the brains, the muscle and also the heart...Those who do not become one just for the numbers and fame. Those who really want to become a true hero. Because passion and hard work will get you far but more so if you have love and kindness. It doesn't have to be in a certain way but it can be through your own way because that's who you are and nothing could change you for that. For a hero does not walk alone but with the heart of the people that he promises to protect. So Katsuki-kun, would you think about that not just for Kohri-baa-san but for you as well?"

Those were a lot of words that he himself struggled to process. Shouto wondered if Katsuki was the same and the look on his face said that they were on the same boat. And typical Katsuki just said a long, "huh?" To his mother.

But Kohri did not mind, her bell-like laughter was proof of that, as she squished Katsuki's cheeks and his, tenderly with a smile before saying, "You don't have to understand it right now. In the future, maybe."

The news of U.A. being attacked by villains reached everyone in Japan, including himself. To others, it would have been just another piece of information stored inside their minds. A passing thought from their everyday busy lives. But that wasn't the case for him because one of his relatives happened to be there.

He had wished that he could have flown from Hokkaido to Mustafu in a heartbeat but it wasn't ideal to leave his agency and sidekicks by themselves without prior notice. The man also knew that he'd just be berated by his older cousin, exactly telling him the reasons he had just listed. In the end, he opted to just video call her and ask about her well-being.

"Kohri-nee, are you sure you're alright?"

"Yes, yes I'm alright."

She reassured him with a warm smile. He could recall in their childhood how they (more of him) would stick like glue sometimes because they were the only ones who were almost the same age as each other. But to him he had stuck to her mainly because of the familiarity that they had similar quirks, a contrast to their family's water abilities.

Now that he thought about it, the reason was childish. But who cares about past childish thoughts, all that mattered to him was that they were tight knit. And the thought scared him of what would have happened if he hadn't gotten close to his cousin, who he thought was more mature than those he knew. The one who had taught him and had given him a different perception on a lot of things especially when it came to quirks and strength.

Golden eyes stared at steel grey ones.

Those irises that glowed when he used his quirk examined the woman in front of him. Long snow white hair, round face, steel grey eyes with long white eyelashes. Her image made him think they were fraternal twins. It sometimes freaked him out how much they eerily looked alike sans their eye color.

His intent staring made Kohri laugh.

"You worry too much, Geten-kun."

He whined at her teasing, using the childish hero name that he had come up with long ago.

XXIII

Like her family, her students had fussed over her when school started after the USJ attack.

"Sensei, why did you suddenly disappear like that?!"

"Your quirk was so cool!"

"Kohri-sensei really looked badass when she did that though!"

"Ne, ne, did you really fight those villains in USJ, sensei?"

"You're probably a secret Pro Hero!"

"How'd she know that class 1-A was in trouble though."

Questions were thrown at her left and right, she had a closed lip smile on her face. Their chatter didn't cease, only getting louder and louder, their class president was having a hard time taking control.

Suddenly and out of nowhere, the room temperature dropped. They shivered and paled, all heads simultaneously and slowly looked at their homeroom adviser.

'Eep!'

There was still a smile on her face, the intent however was different.

"Have you all settled now?"

"H-hai!"

They answered loudly, now afraid that there was more to the gentle and kind appearance that Kohri always showed to them.

The cold feeling disappeared when Kohri had gotten everyone's attention, the smile on her face was still present but it was warmer compared to a few seconds ago.

"Now then, let's talk about the upcoming Sports Festival."

Everyone shouted for varying reasons.

XXIV

Shinso, like everyone, wanted to be a hero as a child. Yet sometimes society was cruel to you even if you were just merely existing. As if there was always something they could do to point out to you and tell you their flaws.

For Shinso, it was his quirk.

Ever since he received it and when people asked for his quirk, they'd compliment his quirk at first but would tell how he could use it for evil. He had learned to fake a smile through their words even if it had hurt him countless times. Such small words had accumulated for many years and left a bad feeling inside his heart. It surprised him that he hasn't turned into a villain, with those cruel words that were always directed to him. In the end, he kept all of it tight inside a box and positively just said that they were his source of motivation. That he'd show those who have doubted his 'evil' quirk can be used for good, once he was a hero.

But…

He failed to be admitted in the Hero Department of U.A.

It disheartened him that in the practical exam they had to battle robots that were all useless to his 'Brainwashing'.

If he was being honest to himself, his dreams of wanting to be a hero were slowly diminishing. Sure he got to be in the General Studies Department of U.A. and that they allowed those in that department to transfer to the Hero Department.

'So what if there's a possibility that I can transfer? It's not like I have the opportunity to improve my quirk or showcase my abilities. Even if I do well in the Sports Festival, there's no guarantee that any hero would take notice of my mediocre abilities.' the purple haired teen, bitterly thought. He wasn't in the right state of mind as their teacher talked to them about the upcoming Sports Festival.

"Boo! Why do we have to participate in the Sports Festival when those in the Hero Department would be the ones dominating it."

Everyone in the class agreed, even himself.

His eyes were trained on their homeroom adviser with his chin resting on the palm of his hand.

'It's not like Kohri-sensei would understand, she has a powerful quirk after all.'

The image of her jumping over the window and gliding down the ice that she formed was something everyone in 1-C will never forget. All of them saw their adviser in a new perspective.

"Yea, sensei. Our quirks aren't as flashy and useful as them."

And as the comments of his classmates grew one by one, the feeling of his desire to be a hero was extinguished by them unknowingly that Kohri's demeanor had changed.

It was just a smile, yet held a lot of impact. He could imagine his own mother's smile behind them and his father's words 'Like kindness, sometimes a smile goes a long way'.

"But…" she started, pausing for a while before continuing, "...some of you want to be a hero, right?"

Her words made him put down his hand that was supporting his chin. Purple eyes intently trained on her figure. He flinched when those steel grey eyes of hers looked at him briefly before shifting.

"Then, that's fine. You shouldn't be bound by what society deems the value of your quirk or what it's for. It is for you to decide who you want to become. And be all you can be."

Silence envelops the class and his classmates reacted to Kohri's words, telling her that she was so cheesy and that it was kind of her to cheer them up.

But for Shinso, even if it was small, even if it was just kind words to others, for him it was different.

XXV

And as Shinso fought with Midoriya in the first round of the 3rd event in the 1st year Sports Festival, he couldn't help but remember the people who had said about his quirk three years ago after Midoriya had flipped him.

His fists were tight, it was evident that he was frustrated.

He and Midoriya stood in front of one another, the green haired teen was announced as the winner by Present Mic. But before he could turn around, Midoriya had shyly asked, "Shinso-kun, why do you want to be a hero?"

"But some of you want to be a hero, right? Then, that's fine. You shouldn't be bound by what society deems the value of your quirk or what it's for. It is for you to decide who you want to become. And be all you can be."

Shinso turned around thinking about his past and his teacher's words, "You can't help the things that you long for."

He was still frustrated about it but when he heard his classmates cheering him on and Pro Heros telling and muttering with themselves how useful his quirk was.

Purple eyes turned themselves towards where the commentary box was, he wasn't surprised to see Kohri staring at him directly as she sat between Present Mic and Aizawa.

She nodded at him with a proud smile and that was enough for him to know that she felt the same way as his classmates. He couldn't help but smile and determination filled him up.

This was going to be his starting point.

A/N: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! fucking finally it's done! oh my gosh for those who waited thank you for patiently waiting for this even if this was 4 years delayed. the ending was purely Shinso but who wouldn't want Shinso?! Also, I imagine Shoto as the same as canon. Quiet but can be a piece of shit in an innocent way or concealed way especially to Bakugo. Man writing those two is always hilarious! Reminds me of Kuroko and Kagami Taiga. I hope this chapter gives you satisfaction as this will be the last one. Down below are some more mini chapters that I'm too lazy to continue and edit so please read it!

i (sports festival)

"Is everyone ready to begin the Sport's festival?!" Present Mic shouted, "With me, commentating alongside Eraserhead oh boy, oh boy are we lucky to be with our newly recruited sensei, who is also the wife of our Number Two hero, Endeavor-san, I present to you, Todoroki Kohri!"

"Thank you for having me, Present Mic-sensei. It makes me remember my time when I fought during the Sports Festival"

"Ohhh! I remember now! Fun fact everyone, during Kohri-sensei's time before she was married to Endeavor-san she herself won the competition!"

Everyone clapped at the woman's achievements during her time as a high school student

"Another fun fact!"

'Uh-oh'

"Kohri-sensei was part of the General Education program on her duration as a UA student! Making her the only General Education student to have won the Sports Festival until this day! Which means you General Education students have the chance to make it to the top like Kohri-sensei here!"

The stadium was in uproars, not aware at that detail

Present Mic's grin turned wider and Kohri could only sweat drop at the enthusiastic man

"And the juicer part!"

"Uhh, Present Mic-sensei I think you shouldn't-"

"Her final opponent was her husband! The Number Two hero, Endeavor!"

"-announce it…oh boy Enji's going to kill you"

ii (winter internship)

Endeavor looked at his youngest along with the two friends that he had invited to intern at his agency. He had expected a lot from what he considered as the top 3 of their year in U.A.

But all he could see were three little domesticated pet animals in front of him.

A silently sly cat that was his son.

An angry and explosive pomeranian that was the carbon copy of that evil witch.

And a green rabbit, who was trying but failing to be the peacemaker, was shivering so hard as if they'd left it alone in the pouring rain even though it was bright and sunny outside.

'I...I didn't sign up for this' The Flame Hero: Endeavor wanted to facepalm after seeing Shouto annoying Bakugo 'innocently' when the explosive boy knew what Shouto was really doing and shouting at his other childhood friend.

And worst of all, there was a big red bird beside him smiling brightly, "Endeavor-san!"

'I just want to be with my wife.' He internally cried.

iii (internship)

Kohri had been pestering him to bring Hawks to their house. They have been married for a long time now, nearing a silver wedding anniversary the next year but there were times he still couldn't understand whatever was going on inside his wife's mind.

"Pray tell, why you want to invite him for dinner, dear?"

"It's a secret!"

He stared at her suspiciously, really wondering what was going on in his wife's head. The Flame Hero wasn't sure if he should be concerned or what.

I don't think th-" he stopped on his tracks seeing the downcast look on Kohri's face. It didn't look like she was pretending to be sad but seemed genuine enough.

"You really can't?" she had asked him with that kind of tone. It had reminded him during their younger days, still dating, that Kohri would give him those puppy eyes and pout whenever there were things that couldn't go her way. That mannerism had gone away but was replaced by a different one now that they were married.

Yet it still tugged his heart that he was hearing it coming from his beloved wife.

He sighed, in truth, he really didn't mind. It was just he could remember Touya constantly nagging about the Winged Hero on this and that. The two did not have the best of relationship but to him, it seemed one-sided when Hawks didn't have a hostile look on his face whenever the Winged Hero and his eldest would coincidentally meet.

"Fine, I'll invite Hawks" his answer made Kohri smile at him that made him avert his eyes elsewhere.

Maybe he shouldn't just invite Touya?

"Ah, and don't forget to bring Touya with you, okay?"

Too late.

"He sometimes forgets when I tell him to come home once in a while."

He winced but absently nodded just thinking 'Ahh, whatever.' It wasn't his problem. Touya could just live with it for one dinner night.

He got a kiss from Kohri on the cheek after she thanked him.

And you know what they say, happy wife, happy life.

iv (internship)

Dinner with Hawks wasn't awkward except for one Todoroki Touya who sat in front of the stupid bird and shared a meal with his family. He appreciated that Hawks hadn't bothered to annoy him throughout dinner after he was baffled to see him by the entrance of their family house.

I really appreciate that you've invited me here Todoroki-san

'Just go away, will you' his brow twitched, itching for the younger hero to just leave. He was so close yet so far from leaving their entrance door and it irked him.

"Oh my, please call me Kohri. We're all Todorokis here and it might get confusing." his mother had covered her mouth with a hand, attempting to cover it but they all knew she had a happy smile on her face. It was evident she was fond of him.

"Well if you insist on it Kohri-san. But before I go, I'm curious why you've invited me."

"No reason at all," Kohri laughed, waving a hand dismissively.

"It seems like there's more than meets the eye"

Touya got annoyed that Hawks was treating his mother that way.

"Oho, you really are smart. That's why you're interesting, Hawks-kun."

My, I appreciate the compliment, Kohri-san. Then do you mind telling me the real reason?

I'll cut to the chase, I would be delighted for you to be my future son-in-law.

Future son-in-law?!

If you're straight you can date Fuyumi, if you aren't you can date Touya. Natsuo already had a girlfriend and Shouto is too young for you and I think he has a crush on someone already. But only if you're interested I'm not forcing you!

Okaa-san! Okaa-san!

Everyone was petrified except Natsuo and Shouto who only looked at each other and laughed at it to varying degrees.
