Kim smiles at the man in front of her. She knows that her knight and shining armor will be confused. They haven't talked in ten years, and she would never come near him during reunions. Jason, right beside them, puts a hand on his chest. He knows that he would be weak after the Power Grid's talk. Jason sometimes hates being a Power Ranger, for this is a consequence of being one.
"Handsome. How are you feeling? What can I do for you?" She asks gently. She has seen how weak the Power Grid can leave him. Tommy looks to Jason with confusion, and Jason sees the unsettling feeling.
"What's wrong?" Jason asks. Voice soft and gentle, only for a weak Tommy. Kim sees a love that both men share and smiles. She hesitates but finds an act of courage and kisses the vulnerable man. Jason's shock at the bold move on Kim's part, and Tommy's blinks and waits for the pain to flare up. She pulls back and averts her eyes from him.
"It doesn't hurt." Tommy whispers, and both Kim and Jason are wide-eye at the statement. They both know that means a lot.
"What happened? What did they want?" Jason asks. Tommy looks to Kim, who holds his eyes.
"Ivan Ooze is back and wants revenge. He's more powerful than before." Tommy tells them, and both Red and Pink curse.
"Rocky, Aisha, Adam, and Billy need to be notified," Kim tells him. Jason shakes his head.
"We will all want to help. We might not have to fight him, but Tanya, Kat, Trini, Zack, and I would want to help." Jason tells the two.
"That works. We will need all the help we can get." Kim agrees, and Tommy glares at her.
"That's not for you to decide. Everyone's out of sync, and I don't trust you to have my back. Any of you, but Jason." Tommy says, slowly getting up. Kim flinches slightly but shoots back her glare.
"You are in no condition to fight a big fight right now. We need the help, and we have all fought him together. Maybe that's what you need. Everyone to come together and heal." Kim shots back. Jason looks at the two.
"Enough, both of you. You are both right. Kim, you and the rest did to degree abandoned him and are out of sync; however, Tommy, Kim is right. On the part where you are in no condition to fight, and on everyone needs to heal from this fight. We are going to help you, even if you disagree with it. The rest of the Power Rangers would want to help. We can get the Astros and Lost Galaxy to tell us where he is. Time Force and Lightspeed Rescue can help with the civilians, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, and Dino Thunder can be on standby." Jason tells them. He sees both glaring at each other and sighs. They are going to have to fix their issue before fighting Ivan Ooze.
"Didn't you want to tell him something, Kim?" Jason questions his Pink. That made Kim stop her glaring and Tommy looking at him with confusion. She takes a deep breath and releases a sigh.
"I never wrote the 'Dear John' letter. It was a former friend of mine from Florida that wrote it. I was hurting and had a bad time focusing, and I was homesick, but I wanted to follow through with my dream, and I did. Her name is Lily. She was trying to hurt me, and she succeeds on that front. However, she failed, as I moved on and won my department, while she didn't do so well. I stopped being friends with her after that." Kim tells them. Both men are taken back at the revelation. Tommy looks into her eyes, searching for lies, but found none.
He smiles slightly, showing them that he's still in pain by this revelation. Jason takes Tommy and leads him upstairs. The man doesn't protest, so Jason knows that he's trying to understand the 'Dear John' letter. Jason's upset that Kim didn't tell them sooner because fighting was pointless. He puts Tommy to bed.
"I'll wake you up when it's dinner time," Jason tells the man, who nods off. The Red goes to see his Pink sitting on the table.
"How long?" Jason asks her. Kim sighs.
"After Aisha and Trini came after me, trying to figure out why I broke up with Tommy. Though Tommy didn't write to me at all." Kim tells him, and Jason frowns.
"Any of the Zeo Rangers will tell you that Tommy wrote to you every day, Kim. He poured his heart and soul into your relationship. Even before Zack, Trini, and I left, Tommy focused on you and only you, Kim. He loves you, even now." Jason tells her, and it was Kim's turn to frown.
"Lily must have kept Tommy's letters from me." She commented to herself. Jason smiles slightly at her.
"Tommy tried to date Kat, but he couldn't. He hasn't dated anyone because he couldn't get over you. Keep pushing, and lose him." Jason tells her. Kim nods in agreement and frowns. She would have been able to move on, but it would be challenging, but she could.
"No, you couldn't. You and Tommy are first loves, and they can never get over each other. Most of the time, the significant others would feel like they can't keep you with your love. You and Tommy would be hard to keep yourselves from falling for another." Jason tells her look on her face. Kim sticks her tongue at him.
"Why would you know this?" Kim demands. Both move to the kitchen; Kim goes to the table while Jason starts to cook.
"Facial expression," Jason tells her. Kim scrunches her nose in fake anger, but inwardly She smiles at her big brother.
"Are you staying with Tommy?" Kim asks. She wants to know what Jason and Tommy are doing together.
"I came over today to check on him," Jason tells her, and Kim grins.
"Where are you staying?" Kim asks. She's getting nosy, and she knows it. He shoots her a glare.
"I have a place of my own. What about you? Where are you staying?" Jason questions Kim. Kim shrugs.
"Rocky and Kat told me that I can stay with them, but I might stay at a hotel," Kim tells him.
