When the dead started walking I was small and alone...
Until a man named Lee became my protector.
Lee wasn't the only one who protected me.
Another man in our group named Rohit became the second protector after he lost his brother.
Another man in our group named Kenny became the third protector after he lost his wife and son.
Lee protected other people too….but he couldn't save everyone.
….You can never save everyone.
The living were just as dangerous as the dead, a woman in our group named Lilly lost her dad and then she just couldn't cope.
She took the life Lee saved.
And Lee left her on the side of the road.
They taught me how to survive.
They kept me safe.
We met another group, broken people running from their past.
There was a woman in their group who gave birth to a baby boy…...named Alvin Junior
AJ.
He made it.
But the mom didn't.
We then started to take care of him.
But then Jane left AJ in the snow we thought he was gone forever.
That was the last straw for Kenny. But Lee held him back.
But that didn't stop Rohit.
He killed Jane.
It turned out Aj was alive.
Jane hid him to prove a point.
From that moment on the four of us made a pact.
For everything we do to survive, every bullet, every kill, every trip, every attempt to live.
Has to be about Aj's future.
We travelled far and found a New Frontier.
We thought we found something that worked, but we were wrong.
They tried to take AJ away from us, but Kenny stopped them.
But that didn't last long.
After we met a man named Javier Garcia who was protecting his family.
AJ was taken away. Kidnapped right under our noses
We searched for a long time finding any lead we could to find him.
And just when I gave up hope.
We found him.
Now me, Lee, Kenny, Rohit and Aj are searching together for a home.
They are all I have.
I am all they have.
And we will protect each other to our deaths.
In an abandoned overgrown road was a walker, a monster among many that have turned the world into the apocalypse was crawling forwards.
As the walker crawled, losing the ability to walk, he simply wandered down the road, his moans being the only source of sound.
Suddenly a back jeep whizzed past the walker making it follow in the vehicle's direction.
Behind the steering wheel of the vehicle was a teenage girl, the girls attire consisted of an off white henley under a light grey hoodie, the outermost layer being a dark denim jacket. Her once olive green cargo pants, mottled with what one can only hope to be mud, were well fitted to her figure. On her feet she wore knee high black boots, red laces done up tight, she had chocolate brown hair down up in a side pigtail. Completing the look was a dirty blue and white baseball hat with a D on the front.
Next to the girl was a bearded dark skinned adult, his attire consisted of a red t-shirt under a blue jacket, his torn black jeans were scraped in dirt. He had black hair shaved on his head. Finishing off the attire was a silver watch on his left wrist.
In the middle seats were two male's, one was a man who's attire consisted of a white t-shirt underneath a dark teal jacket, his jeans were scraped with dirt and some of it was torn, he had dark grey hair with white strands on his beard. Completing the look was a brown and white hat, a black eye patch was on the man's left eye.
The other man's attire consisted of white t-shirt under a black leather jacket, his jeans were dark navy and some parts had been torn and scraped in dirt. The man had black hair and a red scar on his cheek.
As the girl drove, the two people in the back seat's attention were drawn by a squeaking sound.
In the back seats was a dark skinned 5 year old boy with a dirty peach t-shirt, he blue jeans had been torn in some places. He also had a small afro in his hand and was a green figurine resembling a broccoli with shades.
"Whatcha you doing there buddy?" The black haired adult asked.
"Pretending that Disco brocoli can talk." The child answered. "And I don't like buddy. I'm too old for it.
"Well someone's all grown up." The eye patched male said.
"Does Aj still work?"
"Aj still works." The boy now known as Aj said.
Suddenly he sat up and groaned while clutching his stomach.
"What's wrong?" The teenage girl asked. "Aj?"
"Hungry."
The black haired adult looked at Aj sympathetically. "Lee do we have any rations left?" Asking the man in the front seat.
"Lets see." The man now known as Lee said. He rustled around in the contents of a blue bag only taking out a magazine.
"Here you can practice your reading instead." Passing the magazine to black haired adult who passed it to Aj. "It will take your mind off your stomach."
"Pree-heat….oven. P-lace cream, va-ni-lla bean, beans! -into a sauce pan and bring it to a bo-ill." Aj tried reading out loud.
"Actually that would make you even hungry." The black haired teen said, taking the magazine and giving it back to Lee.
"Lee is that only book we have?" The eyepatched man said.
"Sorry Kenny but it is. Remember we had to trade most of the books for ammo." Lee explained.
"Fair point. Hand me the last of the rations." Lee complied, giving a bag to the black haired adult who gave it to the five year old.
"What about you guys?" Aj asked.
"Go for it." The teenage girl assured Aj. "Don't worry we'll find something soon."
"I believe you."
The black haired adult leaned fowards and whispered in the teens ear. "Let's hope wedofind something Clementine."
"You and me both Rohit."
Clementine slowed the jeep down outside a train station, swerving it outside the building near some freighters.
"Should we hit it?" Rohit asked as Clementine and Lee surveyed the building from their seats. Lee nodded. "Let's roll.
The adults and the teen exited the vehicle first shortly after, Kenny moved the seat so that Aj can come out.
Lee moved to the back of the jeep and opened it revealing an arsenal of guns and weapons: Ak-47's, Rifles, a shotgun, pistols with silencers Smgs, Knives, a crowbar and two katanas in sword sheaths.
The adults took the Ak-47s and Smgs while Clementine took the shotgun and the sniper rifle. She gave a pistol and knife to Aj. Rohit took the sheaths and secured them onto his back.
"What are the three rules when entering a new place?" Kenny said as he kneeled down to Aj's level while the others loaded their weapons and secured their weapons
"W-we secure the preemiter." Aj said
"Perimeter." Lee corrected.
"Then what else."
"We scavenge for supplies."
"And what do we do if we run into any living or dead."
"We kill monsters and if we run into people we'll be careful if there are bad people."
"And if they're good."
"We trade."
"Someones finally learning." Clementine said as she secured the sniper on her back.
"Be careful." Rohit cautioned as he loaded a handgun and put it in a holster.
"What could go wrong?" Lee said.
With their weapons loaded and checked they began to walk over to the building.
Little did they know that this is a start of something bigger.
