Miles away in City B, the bald hero known as Saitama was out on patrol. It looked like it was going to be a peaceful day and there didn't seem to be any monsters running about causing trouble. Saitama let out a board sigh. He had acquired a gigantic amount of strength roughly three years ago that people could go dream about, but it had come at a great price. Saitama had lost all his hair and he had simply had become too powerful. There was nothing that posed any serious threat or challenge to Saitama. About every fight Saitama got into ended in one punch and the enemy was defeated. It also didn't help that none of the enemies Saitama faced could injure him in any. Life for Saitama had just become boring and frustrating.
As Saitama continued you on his patrol a young girl wearing a little blue dress and a large yellow hat saw him walking by and her eyes went wide as she saw Saitama's hero outfit.
"Hey you're bald!" Said the little girl pointing at Saitama.
"Eh?!" Said Saitama turning to face the girl.
"Like me." Said the girl removing her hat to reveal that she was bald as well.
Saitama was bit stunned by this at first, but then the pieces began to fill in. The child before him very likely had cancer or was still fighting cancer and her baldness was a result of the chemotherapy she must have endured to deal with it. Yet despite this the kid still found the will to be happy and continue living.
"You're a hero!" Said the girl excitedly.
Saitama smiled a little. A part of him was happy to be called that, but despite his God Level of strength and his accomplishments the girl was wrong. There was more to being a hero then having a costume and be incredibly strong. The girl didn't know it, but she exhibiting a heroic a trait by simply being happy and managing to live despite the serious heath problems she faced.
"You're wrong little girl." Said Saitama as he squatted down so he was eye level with the girl.
The girl looked at Saitama in confusion.
"I'm a pathetic unemployed man, whose a hero just for fun." Said Saitama.
"Oh..." Said the girl looking a little disappointed.
"Because the hero is YOU!" Said Saitama as he picked the girl up by her midsection and stood up holding the girl up the air and gave her a warm and friendly smile.
The little girl returned the smile and let out a cheery laugh. After a few seconds Saitama put the girl on the ground gave one last smile and a friendly wave and began to walk off.
"Thank you mister!" Called the girl happily.
Saitama just smiled. It had been a nice little encounter and it had actually lifted Saitama's spirit a little.
"If only I could punch cancer, then things would be a lot better." Thought Saitama to himself as he continued on with his patrol.
To be continued.
