Severus stood outside Minerva's office for a total of five minutes before she got tired of him pacing and invited him. He sat in the chair across from hers. She offered him a biscuit, which he refused.

"What's wrong, Severus? Do not tell me it's nothing because you only pace like that when you're thinking about something."

"Do you remember when I spoke to you in the beginning of the school year about Miss Granger?" Severus asked, looking at her.

"Yes, I remember. She was unable to tell me anything. I believe she was in shock. I did what I could to investigate the matter."

"I believe you. However, the same person decided she'd had said too much and tried to silence her," Severus explained.

"Where is she? Is she alright?" Minerva asked, nearly jumping up from her chair as if she was going to find and protect Hermione. Severus nodded. Minerva sank back into her seat.

"She is fine, her and Mister Malfoy are currently hiding for their own safety. She made me her out cry witness. Duty bound, we reported the matter to the headmaster," Severus stated. Minerva nodded.

"And?" she asked, already having a feeling she knew what Severus was about to say. She'd brought the first matter to the headmaster as well, he'd only dismissed her saying it was the girl's word against the boy's. Minerva had said a few choice words of her own at that, nothing that had helped Miss Granger though.

"Albus refuses to move against Miss Granger's attacker. He claims he will investigate her claims, in the mean time, she and Mister Malfoy have decided they believe Albus is no longer capable of running the school," he explained. Minerva nodded. That didn't come as a surprise. She had been starting to believe the same, but this only sent things over the top. It was quite clear Albus Dumbledore was not fit to run a school.

"I agree with them. How did Mister Malfoy come to be involved in all of this?" she asked, thinking about how she'd noticed him and Miss Granger becoming friendlier. She hadn't given it much thought though.

"You'd have to ask him. It is not my place. I only have Miss Granger's permission to tell you her side of the story."

"Do they have a plan to remove Albus then?"

"They do, and I am not allowed to speak of the details."

"I understand, Severus. Can you tell Miss Granger that anything she needs, or wants, I will help her?"

"I will, but I have a feeling she already knows. What you can do is keep her and Mister Malfoy's disappearance from the student population from being instantly noticed. I have no idea if their plan involves them returning to lessons."

"I will see what I can do, although knowing Miss Granger, she will find someway to continue her studies."

"That she will," Severus agreed. "I have done my duty in informing you of their plan, the parts I could."

"I will support Miss Granger's decisions. Let her know she can always come to me and I agree with her and Mister Malfoy's assessment of our headmaster."

"I will, I should go. Thank you for the biscuit, Minerva," Severus said, snatching a biscuit from the plate before stalking out of the office, his black robes billowing around him.
