Hello, everyone! Welcome to the third chapter of TTWBIS! Please enjoy!

Chapter 3: The Good-To-Go

Lucy couldn't contain her excitement.

Of all the years she's been a writer, this was the best idea she has ever come up with. It was sincerely romantic, to think two of her closest friends would be a romantic pining game. And she couldn't help but squeal!

But she needed to get back on track; after all, not all of the plan was commenced. Lucy needed to initiate the last part: telling everyone.

Being a social butterfly helped her. Lucy had millions of friends' numbers, all people she's had to contact with as well. So she had a lot of work ahead of her.

She looked at her mental checklist: Natsu, Gray, Mirajane, Cana... many more. But she needed to overcome the first step, and most important person: Natsu.

Now, he wouldn't be too hard -Natsu's a very chill and friendly person, he never gets upset with Lucy. However, worry still lingers; she got no confirmation of his feelings for Erza. It was more of a gut feeling, but still, gut feelings could be wrong. Lucy, being Lucy, decided to go forth- despite the huge concrete wall.

Lucy crawled over to the coffee table, reached over, and grabbed her phone. It came to life and she put in her passcode and went to messages. From there, with a deep breath, she clicked on Natsu's contact. With lightning speed, she typed out her message and sent it.

Me (2:35 pm): Hey, Natsu! I need to talk to you about something.

Lucy relaxed on the couch, breathing relief. Now, she just awaited the response. Though the fight still wasn't over yet. After a few bated breaths, her phone dinged. Lucy looked with hopeful eyes, awakening her phone.

Natsu (2:40 pm): Hey, Luce, what'd you need?

Lucy craftily typed out a response, with carefully chosen words. She revised it and hit send. Seconds later, Natsu answered back.

Me (2:42 pm): I... need your permission with something, Natsu. Natsu (2:42 pm): With what?

Lucy prepped herself; either this will end terribly, resulting in a ruined friendship, or this will grow into something beautiful. Either or, it would end up with a disappointed Juvia for meddling in her friend's lives.

Me (2:47 pm): Well... do you like romance?

Natsu (2:48 pm): What's that supposed to mean, Luce? I enjoy watching the romance anime and tv shows I watch with you, and half of the time you come for me with advice on what to do with Juvia.

Lucy felt called out, blushing. 'Damn, I hate when he's right.' She mentally cursed. He isn't always the one with smart advice or self-aware, but damn, when he is, he beats out his brother.

Me (2:51 pm): I feel called out.

Natsu (2:52 pm): Lol

... And back to regular Natsu. Who's surprised?

Me (2:52): Anyway, getting back on track, I need your permission with something.Natsu (2:54pm): Ok, shoot.

Throughout the entire conversation, Lucy's been waiting for this moment. For her anxiety to increase, and herto become the personification of paranoia. It was Natsu though, it wasn't like him to yell at his friends - Unless someone stole his scarf.

Me (2:57 pm): So, remember that girl you met last night? And how blushy you were?Natsu (2:58 pm): Yeah, I do - I just don't think I was blushing!Me (3:01 on): Sure, sure. Whatever you want to believe.Me (3:02 pm): What I was saying was... I met with the girl.

A minute. Two... Going on seven now...

Natsu (3:09 pm): You did what?! Hey, I wanted to meet her first!

Well, at least, his feelings are confirmed. That's a step in the right direction!

Me (3:10 pm): Relax, Natsu. I don't even know her that well, she's actually Juvia's friend.

Another long pause; apparently, his dumb brain needs more time to process events than the average human being. Lucy got up and headed to the fridge, taking out a package of blueberries. She ate them vigorously, gobbling some almost whole.

As she was eating her third blueberry, her phone dinged again- in the tune of a sweet, mellow music box; it must be Erza.

Erza (3:17 pm): Is everything going ok? Did he text you back yet?

Lucy smiled softly; Erza really wanted to get to know him. It was things like this that made Lucy's heart burst with delight.

Me (3:20 pm): Yes, everything's fine. It's going well so far.Erza (3:21 pm): Then I hope everything else goes well. Goodbye, Lucy.

As soon as a response from Erza was alerted, Natsu also texted back, uncharacteristically in a very long paragraph.

Natsu (3:21 pm): So... what you're saying is... you met with a mystery girl, had a chat with her, then, presumably, got her phone number. Then proceeded to text her! So - I'm going off a theory here but I assume it's correct - if you have it, give me her damn number, Luce!

Lucy breathed a deep sigh, before wallowing back to her fruit. She hoped Natsu would get over his jealous issues, but clearly, they always come back to haunt him, don't they?Though, she can't really blame him. In all of his past relationships, he was the stereotypicalman who was jealous of hands over his girlfriend -even if a well-meaning man came by and shook his girlfriend's hand, he immediately turns into a dragon, with the force of 12. Lucy expected Natsu to hopefully grow out of that habit with this woman, but it looked like it was not happening anytime soon.

Me (3:24 pm): No, I'm not, Natsu. Besides, it would ruin the surprise.Natsu (3:25 pm): What surprise, Luce?

She was quickly thrown out of her repressive mood, efficiently turning into a swooning, love-sick woman.

Me (3:26 pm): That's the whole reason I texted you, dummy! So I could explain why you won't know her name and stuff.Natsu (3:27 pm): I wanna hear it! It sounds like a challenge!Me (3:31 pm): So basically, you're going to be in a mutual pining game with the mystery woman. You'll learn more about her as you pass through her favorite places, and meet her friends. You're also going to go to your places as well, and she'll see your friends. So... you like it?

That's the third pause in the conversation, which means one of two things: 1) His dumb brain is trying to process the information, or he's getting mad. Lucy sincerely wishes it's not the latter.

To relieve the stress, she put her phone down and continued eating the blueberries; though they may be getting stains on her clothes, it doesn't matter. It's helping her cope.

Thankfully, she receives her answer in anupbeat piano ding. Lucy opens up the phone, and to her surprise, he isn't mad.

Natsu (3:39 pm): Sorry Luce for leaving ya hanging, I was just thinking. Natsu (3:40 pm): I'll accept your challenge, Lucy Heartfilia! I'm all fired up!

Lucy jumped up in the air, recklessly stretching out her limbs wide. Sure, she may have knocked over a few things in the process, but the amount of relief overpowered her senses as the romance kicked in.

She fled to put away the sweet blue bundles of blueberries and grabbed her phone off the counter. She exited Natsu's messages, turning over to Erza's contact. The blonde excitedly typed out an affirmation-misspelling some words in the process, but that's ok- and did a victory dance in her living room.

She couldn't wait to get started!

And neither can I, Lucy! I hoped you all enjoyed it. Have a good day/ night and I'll see you in the next chapter!Bye~!
