Erza and Natsu sat in their beds, thinking up their ideas.
It was about 3 am now, a good 12 hours from their confirmation of each other's feelings. But something as little as it is 3 it won't stop their adventurous minds.
It started up as a sprout, something little that occupied and nudged at their brain. Then, once the owner paid attention, and watered it, it started to grow- not of malicious sense, but color, life, and wonder. The adventures the two will share grew into a play-by-play of their entire lives.
Erza nudged it along until it became an oak tree. Natsu was preoccupied with gaming, but after losing a few games, he realized it was stopping him.
They got so lost in fantasy, they forgot about reality. (Of course, though, the reality will turn into a memory.).
So here they are, at 3 am, enjoying their own -yet conjoined- lives.
Erza was lost in fanciful dreams as she nourished herself in future events: Carnival adventures, competitive go-kart racing, sailing a boat out to the horizon. It was slight déjà vu as she has gone through the sequence before with others. The compound of all boyfriends and dates has mushed with her sense of romance, creating this dream date too impossible to come true.
Sure, cake-tasting yards may sound cool in retrospect, but it would never work.
She, as a person, wasn't one to brag. Nor be as extremely romantic as Lucy or Juvia, but she was prone to falling into a world of her own -where no torture and mistreatment of others is no seen, and friendship and high school last forever. (Yes, even the mighty Erza falls into the trap of promising food commercials, advertising their "theory" of how the world would become peaceful if people tried their food).
But, meanwhile, Natsu wasn't like that. He wasn't the type to prolong any sleep because of a romantic dream. He was, very much like Erza, the opposite of his best friend. While she enjoyed romantic comedies, he preferred action and adventure and blowing up stuff. While she enjoyed sobbing women being melodramatic about their husbands, he enjoyed crushing cars with other cars.
Though, one thing they could definitely both agree on was drama (especially Twitter fights); Damn, it was fun to see stuff blow up in people's faces.
It was one thing most of their friends could agree on. That and the fact Natsu was a total dickhead when it came to love.
Lucy knew it, Juvia knew it, Mira definitely knew it - hell, even the bartender down the street knew it. As for Erza, well, evidence points to her being one as well; Jellal could tell you that firsthand.
Perhaps it was the reason why Lucy paired them -and why they met- in the first place. Because they were two total dickheads in love. That, and maybe because Lucy's too much of a romantic (and a drama lover) to not see how badly this'll go. To, literally and/or metaphorically, see how much it'll blow up in their face.
Because that's fun.
Now, it was four am. The time of devils and demons and ghosts to root their way into the minds of the innocent, and chow down on their romantic night dreams. To be safe, both went to bed.
They had a long day ahead of them.
Double chapters in one day, how good am I? Anyway, hope you enjoyed it! Please, have a good day/night and I'll see you in the next one! Bye~!
