Chapter 20: La Fin

"... And that's how I met your mother."

A pink-haired man said, clutching a small book to his chest. He seemed to be telling a story of sorts, entrancing the three young kids in front of him.

One had a beautiful head of red, shoulder-length hair with deep onyx eyes. In the range of 5-5. The other, the seemingly older one, had pink hair to rival her brother and mystical hazel eyes. In the range of 10-11. The third came in a little bundle of blankets cuddled in the older one's lap, of course, cooing her approval. In the range of 2-3.

"Dad! Tell us more! What was the date like!" The second youngest said, gripping onto her dad's leg. He pretended to think for a moment, playfully scratching his chin. "Don't tell me you forgot about it!" The oldest exclaimed. Both smiled.

"Fine fine, Vera,I can see if I can remember it," He said, waving them off. His expression then changed to one of fondness, his smile forming from one of happy memories. "Your mother and I went to the local fair after we went to go get food at Titania's- you know, the one we eat at every Saturday? After that, I think we headed down to the beach and then, spent the night at my place," He said.

He then turns his attention to the tiny little baby seated on Vera's lap, giggling as her dad's face drew closer. "And how about you, little Lucy? Want to know anything?" He said, as he tickled Lucy. Her giggles flooded the room with light, her other siblings joining her.

Then, the doorbell rang. The man brightened with joy as he rushed to the door, greeting a blonde woman at the front. They embraced in a hug that lasted for more than what you would give your friend one, and kissed each other on the cheek.

"Luce! Kami, I'm glad to see you," He said. She brushed some hair out of her face, her beautiful ring of thirteen years glinting in the fluorescent lights. "Auntie Lucy! Auntie Lucy!" The kids screamed, running to meet their aunt.

Lucy swooped down to meet the kids, each giving them a butterfly kiss on their nose. One of the children presented a special coloring page of Lucy and her wife, Juvia, with gloriously elegant script titled at the top: The Locksers. She hid a smirk as she bowed to the only young boy in the group, and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you, Simon. It looks beautiful," She said. Simon beamed at her and went in for another hug. "It's beautiful, just like you, Aunt Lucy!" Simon said. Lucy smiled, gently. "Aw, thank you, Simon," She thanked, setting him down.

Their aunt looked to their dad. "So, where's Erza?" Lucy asked, looking around for said woman. The man pointed upstairs. "Getting ready still. Honestly, the amount of time she uses to get ready baffles me," He said, rolling his eyes. Lucy's eyes flickered to his outstandingly handsome suit, and met his eyes again with a smile. "I'm guessing Erza managed to talk you into going to that Tower of Heaven restaurant over by Etherion Street, hmh?" She teased. The pinkette only heaved a sigh and rolled his eyes.

"I couldn't do anything less for our anniversary. Besides, she would kill me if I took her to anything less than perfect," He said, his eyes drifting to their upstairs bedroom. Lucy drafted another dazzlingly warm smile, fondness over the man she knew today and his wife. "I still can't believe it started over a pining game, you know?" She said. He shared her smile.

"Yeah, me too. After that... thing, I honestly believed nothing else would happen," The man admitted. But, he caught himself. "But I'm glad it did, even though it was in a fucking McDonald's," The man admitted.

"Natsu, language."

All five looked to the stairs to find a gorgeous redhead woman scaling them as if she was a queen. She looked fabulous in a floor-length scarlet dress that cascaded a few stairs before her, giving her a regal look. The dress hugged her curves perfectly, and shown off a beautiful, little baby bump.

"Sorry, Erza, are you ready though?" Natsu apologized. He flew over to the stairs and took her hand, serving as her escort. Erza blushed with delight. "I am now." Her gaze drifted toward the blonde woman, a small smile gracing her lips.

"Lucy! Aw, I haven't seen you in awhile now, how's life?" Erza ran to meet her husband's longtime friend and cosplay partner. Lucy had to adjust and make sure she wasn't squishing her bump. "How's the adoption process with going? Are you almost there?" Erza asked, coming out of her hug. Lucy brightened at the mention of her soon-to-be adopted daughter. "Yep! The social workers still being a pain in the a-butt, though, she should be ours in a few weeks time. How about Adelaide?" The blonde woman asked, gesturing to Erza's stomach.

The Dragneel smiled. "Only seven more weeks to go, I believe. Our next appointment with Doctor Dreyar is Wednesday so soon! I'm very excited," She beamed. Suddenly, the woman got very serious. "You know what to do, Lucy, correct? Keep watch of Vera, Simon, Lucy, and Happy until about 11. You're only allowed to bring over Juvia, that's it. Got it?" She said, crossing her arms over her stomach.

Lucy timidly nods, her smile now wavering. Luckily, Natsu saw. He sauntered over to his wife and hugged her from behind, tucking his head on her shoulder. "I think our reservation is at 5:30 and it's almost 5:15. Honey, we gotta go," Natsu says, checking the watch on his wrist. Erza nods. She switches back to her happier mood, and flashes a smile.

"Goodbye, Lucy, see you tonight!" She said, holding the door for Natsu. Said man was grabbing Erza's bag and handing off the keys to Lucy. "Bye, Luce! See ya tonight!" Natsu exclaimed, grabbing a quick kiss on the cheek. Lucy hugs back in response.

"Goodbye, guys. Love you."

... It's done. The final chapter of a eight month project, is finally fucking done. Kami, I'm emotionalright now. I'm really going to miss this series, as much as I hate how it turned out. It was my first time writing for one of my all time favorite ships from FT and I remember really wanting to write for Natsu and Erza after binging so many fanfics and I'm so glad I did.

Thank you to those who followed and liked, it really means a lot. Secondly, to those who left reviews, thank you so much. And to those who didn't unlike or unfollow even after long periods of me not updating, you have my upmost gratitude. The Natza fandom is one of my favorites to explore. And I'm glad I can contribute.

And... to those who believe in fairy tail endings, I truly hope you will always. Thank you so much for reading and I hope to see you soon. 3.
