Chapter 4

The sky was painted various shades of yellow, red, pink and orange, as the sun was begining to hide behind the horizon, clear sign, that the night is near when the Strawhat Pirates heard the call for dinner from their talented cook. The crew all left whatever they worked on and everyone strolled to the galley and sat down around the table. Almost everyone. 'Cause one swodsman seemed adamant on staying absent thrue all their dialy meals.

"Where's he this time?" Nami queried, anxious. "Even I am starting to worry about him."

"It's true that Zoro-san's been uncomonly apathetic and lost in thoughts since this morning." Brook joined the navigator.

"The baka's probably already lost too." Sanji added, rarely not insulting his rival, being well aware of the situations gravity.

"It's true that he didn't look all that good when he left. It's not like him to behave this way." Luffy was being unusualy stern and serious. His first mate was being odd and even though he didn't know why, his instincts were telling him something was wrong. He needed to have some serious talk with his swodsman, and soon so.

"Robin, can you go find him and bring him back?" Luffy requested looking the archeologist seriously in the eyes.

"Of course Captain-san. We'll be back in no time." Robin smiled reassuringly, got up from her chair and turned to leave.

"Don't worry Robin-chan, I'll put your food into the fridge. I'll make you something delicious for your generosity when you return." Sanji sang as he got up to pack her porcion up.

"Thank you Cook-san." The woman responded and quietly left the ship.

"So you came with your crew, huh..." Yoru Savannah mused, her gaze on the horizon, watching the last rays of sun disappear alowing the stars to get visible.

"Yeah" Zoro replied in soft voice, looking down on the village, as hundreds of street lamps, chain lights and lanterns came on to lighten the night, making the village reflection of the starry sky above. "They are one crazy bunch of a crew."

The two of them hugged and cried from happiness from the reunion until they dried all the tears, continuing to hug long after that as either made a move to let go, until the doorbell rang and a couple of women came in.

Zoro quickly put the bandana and hoodie back on, then turned his back to the women. After Savannah was dealt with the customer she closed the shop and took the swodsman around the building to a ladder, which led them to the roof. They sat down beside one another, Savannahs head resting on his shoulder and they talked.

Zoro told her everything about his life from the moment he escaped. About Zayelle's sacrifice, him deciding to get stronger, his time at the dojo with Kuina, their promise, her death, him determined to make their dream come true, his years as a bounty-hunter until he met Luffy and about all the time he spent with them. How their bonds grew stronger untill they were practicaly a family.

"I'm so glad you found people who care about you and protect you." said Savannah, with a genuine smile on her face. "It warms my heart. You have to introduce us sometime."

"Hahaha, yes, I really do. I can lively picture the ero-cook go all mellorines and tiny hearts around you." Zoro laughed. Then suddenly his head throbbed a bit, reminding him of his current power problem.

"By the way, what about Diego and old-man Joaquin? How are they doing?"

Savannahs relaxed exprecion turned into one of rage. "They were dragged away two years ago."

Zoro's eye widened with shock. "WHAT!? But...why!? How!?"

Savannah straightened up and clenched her hand into white-knuckled fists.

"When your family was...you know...murdured...We were all crushed by it. We suddenly found out that that bastard Sehyr with his men killed the Amaya Kingdoms royal family, The Dur'- Severlangs, along with all the butlers, guards, the kings counselors, the maids...their families... everyone in the palace. It was a slaughter. He took the throne and cut all ties with the two allied kingdoms, apparently he wanted independence. Not much later, Sehyr sent his men here, to watch over our family. As you know, Yoru family members, my aniki and grandpa Joaquin are the only two monks able to do The Recieve ritual. I never got the chance to learn it, first I was too young and then it was forbidden. He had us under his mens supervision until two years ago, when he suddenly grew nervous and send his lackeys to dragg them both to the Amaya capital. And if that's not all, he's making the Amayas men work in the mines five days a week."

Zoro couldn't believe his ears. His beloved homeland, the place where he growed up...was now ruled by a tyrant... What's more twi of the most considerate and warm-hearted people he knew, his friends were dragged away from their home...because of him-...

"Savan...I...I'm so-"

"No!" Savannah interrupted him swiftly. "Don't you dare say it's your fault!"

"But-"

"No buts! It is not your fault, you were only six! What could you have possibly done? Killed him when he caught you!? Don't make me laugh Zorodom, you were just a kid! So stop blaming yourself!"

Zoros lips pulled up unconsciously in a small fond smile, she was still as kind as she was as child, if not more. "Okay okay, I will. But we might have a problem Savan. The pulls..."

The young womans face had a confused look for a moment, before realization came. Utter fear overcame her features and she began to panick.

"The pulls... don't tell me... you're already feeling pulls! That's bad Zorodom, really really bad. Without a properly educated monk there won't be a Recieve and without The Recieve...we need either grandpa Joaquin or Diego but they are both held in Amaya capital...and we can't to anything about it-"

"About that," Zoro stopped her panicked mutterings, holding her shaking hands.

"I apparently happen to know one pirate crew, which might pretty much be the exact right gang for this kind of job."

Savannahs eyes widened. "B-but...t-that would be madness...the Amaya capital is completely under Sehyrs controll...it'll be nearly impossible to get to the palace..."

"They're quite the mad bunch for all I know, and with my knowledge of the capital it won't be impossible." Zoto stated with a grin. Upon the sight of her old friend being so confident of his Nakamas, Savannahs face brightened and her heart filled with hope.

Zoro stood up and pulled her along with him.

"Let's get your boys back!" he said encouragingly

She smiled and responded. "Yes!"
