Chapter 6

"My real name is Zorodom Dur' Severlang, Prince of the Amaya Kingdom and the last rightful heir to the throne."

It was a peacefull night. The weather was warm, cool soft wind coming from the sea, the sky clear from any clouds. The ocean was illuminated by the moon, seagull flying just above its surface, looking for a place to rest after the long journey from one island to another.

As it neared the docks, finaly the deserved rest came, in the form a large ship with a lion head on foreship. Seagull flew to the mast and sat down on it, burrowing sharp claws into the wood. When gentle breeze ruffled the silky feathers, seagull slipped its head under the left wing to clean itself up.

"say WHAAAAAT!?!?!?"

The bird shrieked suffering a mild heart attack, as a rumbling yell shook the whole ship and the poor animal hurried away as fast and far as it possibly could, without looking back.

The sources of the scream were currently staring in shock and astonishment their first mate as if he suddenly grew a head or two, jaws on the ground, eyes the size of plates.

"Wait, wait..." Usopp uttered .stunned "Do you really want to tell me...that Zoro..."

"...is a..." Nami carried on...

"...PRINCE!? " finished Sanji, look of utter terror and endless despair in his face, like he just lost all the reasons for life.

For a moment there was a grave silent.

And then the chaos broke loose.

"So COOL~!"Luffy, Usopp and Chopper squealed with stars in their eyes, faces shining like child that received new toy. "We have a Princ in the crew!"

"Suuuperrrrrr!" Franky called out, posing eith his hand connected above his head, the tatoo forming star.

"Zoro...noble...heir...palace...money..." Nami mumbled quietly, her lips stretched into a mad leer of inhuman proportions, her eyes turning berri signs.

"Hmmm...makes me wonder...now that he's a royalty...shouldn't we bow to him or something?"

"Like HELL I'll bow to the idiot Marimo! And I'll never admit you as a prince, you oaf!"

"Like HELL I'll bow to a subordinate, I'm the captain! "

"Hey! Like you're the one talk, shitty-cook! And from when am I a subordinate!?"

"Yoho~ My heart flutters with excitement~...oh...but I do nothave a heart. Yohohohohohohooooo!"

Savannah snickers at the sight of Zoro unconsciously smiling lovingly. She knew from how he shined happily when he talked about them on the roof. She knew from the tone of his voice, the adoring sparkle in his eye. She knew he loved these people, cherished them like his family. And so far they proved to be pleasant people. It made her heart content, knowing her beloved childhood friend was alive and in good hands. Just the number of scars could be lower...

"Kenshi-san, if I could I ask." Robin speaked for the first time from the big revelation, small smile on her face. Zoro turned to her, nodding for her to continue. "Don't misunderstand, I believe all you said is very important, but none of it seems to explain your relationship with Yoru-san."

This brought everyone back to reality. They were discussing serios things here, time to cheer will come later.

With a sight, Zoro nodded. "And that's the other thing I need to tell you." Everyone listened closely. " You know how Robin talked about the misterious powers our family possesses? Apparently she was right in a way. Severlangs men possess strong powers from their birth, but not exactly powers. It's more like...a need...urge...it has something to do with the islands spirit connecting with Amaya Dur' Severlang... It climaxes in age twenty one, when we start to feel pulls of another islands energy...or should I say magic... tugging us to it...our soul craves to connect with it. That's when we come to Kaemon and research a family of monks focused on performancing a ritual named Recieve, which happens to be Savans family. After The Recieve we obtain abilities, powers and features from an animal of some kind. The animal will walk by our side and connect with us in the time of need."

Savan continued. "But there's one problem. When the Recieve isn't done, the pulls will get too strong for the soul and body of the man to keep up. The powers will go mad and either kill him or make him a monster."

" And now that I'm twenty-one, it all began the night before. It was incredible we artived to Kaemon when the pulls began. I could do the Recieve and all would be fine, but... there's a problem."

"What problem?" Chopper asks quietly.

The Strawhats were all listening intently, taking in the informations. They were getting the hang of it already, having heard and seen a lot of bizard things in their lifes. Only the fact that it was one of them, a member of the family revealing things about himself they didn't even imagine was a bit hard to take in. After hearing the facts they were relieved to hear that since they're on this particular island he would be safe, when another troubles came.

Zoro clenched nervous fists, sweating from distress and mild fever, bitting his bottom lip. He hated to show his weaknesses, expecialy to his crew. "The only ones able to do the ritual are Savans big brother Yoru Diego and her grandfather Yoru Joaquin, who were arrested and dragged to Amaya-capital on Sehyrs command. As it is now, I have no-way of performing Recieve."

Yelpes and gasps of dread, rage and disgust could be heard. Fists were clenched, walls were hit. Some tears were shed.

"The capital is completely under Sehyrs controll." Savannah said, her features dark with anger and pain. "Sehyr took the throne and already had an army huge enough to take over the whole kingdom. The rumor has it he works for someone, who gave him the forces, but personaly I think it's just a rumor. After that he stopped all the alliances king Keishin so hardly worken on building.

He started to mine jewels from the caves, and from under the ground, selling it abroad on high prices. King Keishin, or actually no other king in the history didn't even think about doin' such a think. Its the islands heart, like described, national treasure. Doing such a disgracefull thing...

And as if that wasn't enough, hes making the Amayans work in the mines. Its a rought, hard work, harming the mens health a big time, for two berries a day. That cases people to have to work ywo jobs just to make money enough to feed their families.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, Sehyr has the whole Kingdom on the palm of his hand. I don't think getting Diego and grandpa Joaquin and saving Zorodom... will be...possibe..."

As Savan uttered the last words she was already crying, tears trailing down her cheeks in waterfalls. Zoro quickly got up and wrapped his hands around her trembling form, pulling her close, rubbing soothing circles on her back. Savans hands grabbed his clothes like lifeline, buriing her head in his chest. It broke Zoro's heart.

"Don't cry, Savan, please, don't cry. It'll be okay. We'll get them both back whatever it takes, I swear."

The crew was observing this, their faces dark, fists white, shaking with hardly suppressed emotions.

Luffy came to the hugging couple, face shadowed by the straw hem, hand resting on the top of his hat.

"No, Zoro. No, we aren't getting them back." Zoro's gaze snapped at his captain. Luffy pulled the straw hat up, revealing a look of sheer power and utter determination. "We're not just getting the monk-guys back. We're going to beat your uncle and get the whole Kingdom back!"
