Chapter 8

"Oh, don't worry, leave that to me. I'll have to confirm something with Savannah-chan later, but I have all planned just fine."

Zoro was sitting on the railing right beside Luffy's spot on the lion head, watching the sunset reflecting on the sea, painting the sky and ocean red, orange and pink, gentle breeze ruffling his hair, feeling pleasant on his hot, feverish skin.

The Sunny set sail when the sun was highest, as soon as they got all the things they needed. Nami and Robin calculated that Sunny should arive to Amaya in four days.

They had a plan and relatively good one, but he was being a little sceptic. Because come on now, how many times did things go according to their plans?...yeah. Exactly.

And there was this other problem he didn't want to pull out in front of the whole crew. He only informed Nami about the weather issues around Amaya. During times his father was the king, they had a group of...gifted people from all over the island employed as servants, who controled the weather around the island with special set of tiny bells, to prevent possible attackers from even setting foot on the kingdoms ground. When Sehyr killed all the servants in the palace along with the royal family, the weather went out of control and became furious. Not like the usual big storms. The weather's literaly attacking the enemy sailors ans their ships. And plus, Sehyr may not have the gifted people now, but the bells remained, so it would be for the best to be wary. His only answer was a thoughtful hum and deep frown.

Also that Nami's last statement made him feel very uneasy.

The Sea Witch was being painfully secretive about the whole thing. She and Savan called the Futashi-guy through den-den snail that morning, to make a deal with the smuggler. The call lasted suspiciously long in Zoro's opinion. Or that afternoon, she suddenly pulled Franky to have a private talk with him in the crow's nest, ending up with the shipwright locking up in his workroom imediately.

Yes he definitely didn't like it-

"ugh!"

Sudden stab of pain in his head ended his musings. He bent in half, sliding down onto the floor, hugging his belly firmly, his brows deepening in painful frown. The pulls were geting stronger. He could feel something move in him, twitch in impatience, trying to wake up. He pushed at it, temporarily shoving it away, back to sleep. The pain subsided a bit, though not entirely. The swordsman straightened up again, supporting his back on the railing.

He had to be careful. This seizures could happen while with the crew and that was unacceptable.

Zoro closed his eye, sleep covering his sences.

The wise, concerned look of keen dark blue eyes observing his every move, went unnoticed by him.

Nami was standing on the upper deck, glaring death daggers at the massive dark storm in front of them, about 2 miles away. It stretched of far in both sides. The srorms seemed endless. It was like a wall made or dark clouds.

So this was the Storm Armor of The Night Rain Island.

She knew she's heard of Amaya before. It was in one of her books about unique weather-conditions on various different islands. As Zoro said, it was supposed to litteraly attack the ships trying to get to the island but miraculously let the ones leaving it be. Getting through was nearly impossible.

For anyone less skilled then her.

"Everyone on the deck, pull up the sails, and tie the ropes, Frakny to the helm!" Nami yelled orders while everyone moved as told.

The storm was now right before them. Dozens of lightnings stroke the dark clouds, thunders deafened ears, whirlwind causing the sea to rage in massive waves, ferocious downpour making it hard to see further than few meters.

Dread overcame everyone on the ship. Usopp squeaked and fell on the deck, his consciousness waving them goodbye, before flying away temporarily - hopefuly not for good this time.

"Oooi, all of you, tie a rope around yourselfs and the other end to the main mast!" shouted the navigator. "And someone, tie Usopp to the mast too!"

They did as told and everyone hugged the mast, Luffy's arms stretched around them to hold them in place, Robin's blossoming to do the same. Nami and Franky tied themselves to the railing beside the helm.

Just after they did this, all the hell btoke loose.

The waves were throwing the ship around looking like they played with it, the downpour almost making them blind. Winds blew wildly, almost pushing them into the raging sea. Nami and Franky had extremely hard time in guiding Sunny in the islands direction.

Lightning bolt struck the sea in front of them, vortex appearing where it hit.

"FUCK!!" Franky cursed, pulling the helm to the left just in time as the ship rode the edges of the vortex, slanting dangerouslyto the right.

On the other end of the vortex they were almost knocked over by a wave.

Suddenly a wave of COLOSSAL hight rose right before them. The edges of the wave started quivering, when then the whole shape of it changed, stretching even higher, scales growing all over its length. Gigantic Water Dragon roared savagely, as it was towering over the little ship, which dared inttude its waters.

'This'll be our end!!' was the only mutual thought in their minds.

The Dragon leaned back a bit, and then it rushed down to cruch them-...

...-when a jingling noise sounding like from another world was heared.

The time seemed to stop. The Dragon exploded into milions of miniature droplets, pouring down on them unharmly. The rain stopped, water drops hanging in mid-air and the sea parted, making a straight path for the ship.

The first to recover was Nami.

She tapped Franky on the arm. "Go"

As they sailed the water path, they sighted something unbelieveable.

On the end of the water tunel was a cliff with a simple wooden mole, colorfull, shiny mushrooms of all sizes in the background.

And on the cliff was a dancing man.

He was tall, but not too much, dressed in sleeveless black kimono, beautiful white lion head embroideredon its back, geta-sandals on his feet. His short lavender hair were shining in the twilight, his eyes closed. He was holding short golden staff in each arm, dozens of tiny silver bells attached at one end.

The man was standing straight, his heels touching and toes apart. His arms were outstretched, head facing right. He moved his right arm along his left one his gaze following it, one leg raising at the same speed, bending at the knee. As the arm stopped he twitched his wrist, making the bells ring sharply. Wasting no time he quickly shifted his straight hand in front of himself gaze still following, again making the bells ring at the end. He made circle with his left hand, making the bells jingle softly all the way, then stopping beside the right one flicking his wrists, ringing the bells sharply and sharply putting his leg down, now standing straddled.

The handsome man continued to dance like this untill they made it to the wooden mole and docked. As soon as Sanji and Brook jumped down on the mole and secured the ship with ropes, he stopped and the storm faded.

'Its the special bells Zoro was talking about!' Nami glanced at the swordsman. He was staring at the lavender-man in shock.

"Who's that guy?" Luffy asked as he curiously peeked over the railing on the mysterious man making his way to the ship waving his hand in greeting, wide smile on his face, a spark of mischief in mint green eyes.

Savannah sighed and facepalmed. "Oh, Jesus...he had to make it a show..." hovever she turned to the crew with a joyful smile. "Well guys, let me introduce you to Futashi Pajanaki, the "king of the night rain underworld", and the last Weather-Lord of Amaya."
