Hi, everyone! I've been working very hard on this story and finally managed to write this piece. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did while writing it. Please feel free to review, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Disclaimer: I don't own My Hero Academia or any of its characters. Mizuki, however, is my own creation.

Let's start with the story, shall we?*

Chapter 2

10 years later…

"Katsuki! You better wake up or you'll be late for school!" A loud, shrill feminine voice cut through the Bakugou household's house. The voice even woke up some of the neighbours who, despite them being used to the yelling next door.

"Shut up already, Old Lady! I heard you the first damn time!" A male voice yelled back, the entire house shaking once again at the volume. The tension in the air could be felt miles away from the aggressive family.

"Who do you think you're calling old, you damn brat!"

Older Mizuki, now 14 years old, yawned, tears forming in the corner of her eyes as she lazily walked towards the kitchen. She wore her black school clothing, the sailor uniform fitting her figure perfectly and her skirt showing off her athletic legs.

Her father sat at the table while calmly reading through the morning's newspaper and occasionally took a sip of his black coffee. His signature brown spiky hair stuck out from underneath the newspaper and his brown eyes read through a pair of glasses.

"Morning, Dad," Mizuki greeted, a small smile forming onto her lips as she went to sit down at the kitchen table. Her father peeked up from his newspaper, resulting in his glasses sliding a bit down his nose.

"Morning, Mizuki, did you sleep well?" Masaru asked as he closed and neatly folded the newspaper. He placed it by his side and took another sip from the coffee. Mizuki poured milk over her cereal, trying her best not to use up all the milk for her brother to eat as well.

"Yeah, I slept like a log! Luckily, my alarm woke me up or I'm sure I would still be snoozing about. Why does school have to begin to early again?" Mizuki pondered and her father chuckled at his daughter's question.

"That'll teach you not to sleep late again, spoiled brat! Next time I'm throwing you out the window!" The feminine voice yelled, a familiar ash blonde face coming to view. Mizuki took a bite out of her cereal and waved at her mother.

"Morning, Mom."

"Morning, Mizuki. I'm glad to see you're up and busy. I had to kick your brother out of bed. That lazy ass should get his head straight if he wants to go to high school," Mitsuki growled out and Mizuki chuckled.

Mitsuki was the identical older version of her daughter. Their short spiky hair and red eyes almost much alike. Mitsuki had a youthful look. She wore a white top complemented by a lavender coloured jersey and a skirt.

"I'm sure he will, Mom," she replied and then finished her breakfast. Mitsuki looked at her daughter and felt relieved that one of the twins was calm. Mizuki resembled her father every bit and rarely showed her aggressive side.

"Oh, why can't both of you be so calm all the time? It'll make things much easier on my heart," Mitsuki dramatically stated. Masaru stood up as he finished with his coffee and placed it in the sink before he put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Now, Dear, they're both unique. I'm sure that Katsuki just had a bad morning", Masaru stated and his gentle tone of voice relaxed his wife. Mizuki watched the scene in amazement. It surprised her every time she saw her father calm her mother down since no one could get her under control.

"Hey, Mizuki! Where the hell did you put my bag?!" Katsuki's voice rang through the house and Mizuki let out a sigh. So much for being at peace. She turned around to look at her brother's scowling face and raised an eyebrow.

He wore black school clothing, the usual long black pants and sleeved jacket that was neatly buttoned up. The first two buttons not done resulting the white collared shirt underneath to be seen.

"Do you have to yell so early in the morning? I put it in the usual spot at the door," she replied and watched as he opened his mouth. "I'll go get it. Just sit down and eat breakfast. I don't want to be late for school." Her low tone quickly shut him up and he went to sit at the table.

Mitsuki blinked a few times and then grinned. Katsuki needed his sister as much as she needed her husband to keep them peaceful. The only difference was that Mizuki kept her brother at bay with her low, threatening tone.

They were both very aggressive. Katsuki showed his temper all the time while Mizuki kept hers at bay. Katsuki was loud and insulting where as Mizuki was quiet and peaceful. Though, they were both very outspoken.

"Ah, that reminds me!" Mitsuki ran off in a haste, Mizuki confused at her mother's sudden rush but shrugged it off. She entered the kitchen and took both of their lunch brown bags. She separately put them in her and her brother's bangs before zipping them up.

"There, lunch is packed. Remember to take your juice," Mizuki told Katsuki and he grunted through his eating spree. She smiled and took her own juice out of the fridge, putting it in her school bag, the peace colour very nostalgic.

"Oi, you forgot your stupid designing book in my room," Katsuki grumbled out and Mizuki's eyes widened in horror. "Stop panicking. I didn't scribble in it. I put it in your bookshelf." Mizuki bit the inside of her cheek.

"But I wanted to take it to school…"

"Why are you whining? It's full, isn't it? Why would you want to take it to school if you can't draw anything?" He asked her and Mizuki wanted to reply but found that she was stuck without an answer. Katsuki grunted in satisfaction that he left her speechless and finished eating.

"I got it! Mizuki!" The ash blonde girl looked at her mother with ruby eyes. The older woman smiled and handed her a book, the girl raising an eyebrow. "I bought this yesterday knowing that your previous book wasn't going to last long," Mitsuki said.

Mizuki stared at the book in her hands, eyes widening as she stared at the empty book in her hand. As her grin spread on her lips Katsuki's eyes widened, knowing she was going to have a fit and quickly covered his ears.

"THANK YOU!" There was a sudden explosion coming from her body as she tightly embraced her mother. Mitsuki smiled at her daughter and ruffled her hair. Masaru coughed and waved away the smoke his daughter caused.

"And you complain that I shouldn't shout too early in the morning. You practically got the whole Japan awake!" Katsuki pointed out and Mizuki looked at him, breaking her embrace. She gave him a teasing glare and stuck out her tongue.

"You're just jealous, Explodo-kill."

"What did you say, Fabric Conditioner?! You want a fight?!" Katsuki stood up from his chair, sparks going off in the palm of his hands. Mizuki and Katsuki were both hit harshly on their heads by their mother.

"No fighting in the house!"

"Don't hit me, old hag! I'll kill you!" Katsuki shouted but this time he was hit by Mizuki, identical red eyes glaring at each other. Masaru stared at the two twins, their identical appearance frightening when they stood opposite of each other.

"Apologize to Mom!" Mizuki ordered, Katsuki about to say something back but her stare intensified and he growled. "I said, apologize to Mom, Katsuki," she repeated her words and Katsuki scoffed, pocketing his hands while averting his eyes to the side.

"Sorry."

Mitsuki and Masaru gave them blank looks, not believing that Katsuki actually apologized. Mizuki was a miracle worker and being the eldest twin seemed to be a role she did well in. It was strange how twins could be complete opposites.

Mizuki then gave him a dazzling smile and patted him playfully on his head. "See, that wasn't so bad. Let's go. I don't want to be late for school," Mizuki said and Katsuki gave her a grunt. He grabbed his bag and handed her bag to her.

"You two have a good day and let me know if you're planning on something with your friends after school. Also don't do anything stupid." Mitsuki looked at her son when she said those words and before he could retort, Mizuki chimed in.

"We won't! Love you, Mom. Love you, Dad. See you later!" Mizuki waved as she went to put on her brown school shoes. Katsuki said his goodbyes and joined her in fitting on their shoes. Mizuki tapped her shoe on the ground before they exited their home.

Mizuki hummed silently as she walked next to her brother, in a good mood for the day to start. Most of all, she couldn't wait to draw in her new designing book. She had many ideas that she wanted to put on paper as soon as possible.

Designing fashion had always been her interest since she could remember and because her father was a designer it was in the family. She would occasionally go with her father to work which was always interesting because everyone knew her.

A few years back she even did modelling for some of the company's products and a lot of people still recognised her. Though she was thrilled to do it, she never wanted to do it again. Ever. Dressing up was definitely not for her and her brother still painfully pointed that out.

Speaking of which…

"Neh, have you decided about the whole U.A. High School thing yet? You haven't spoken about it for a while now," Mizuki asked her brother as he walked with his hands pocketed in his pants. He glanced at her in the corner of his eyes and smirked.

"Of course, I'm going, Idiot. I told you, didn't I? I'm going to ace the mock test and be the first one in the whole school who will be able to get into U.A." His smirk widened into a grin. "I'll definitely surpass All Might and become the top hero!" He stated and Mizuki smiled.

"I thought you'd say that and I know that you'll do it." Mizuki gave him a confident grin. "After all, you are my twin!" She laughed out, her eyes gleaming brightly and Katsuki rolled his eyes, his grin never leaving his lips.

"Don't you mean because I am your twin." Katsuki pointed out and Mizuki scoffed. "You're going to go to U.A. as well, aren't you? I heard you talk to Dad about some stupid Fashion stuff the other night."

Mizuki's eyes travelled towards the ground and her brows furrowed. "Actually… About that… There's a really prestigious school that's perfect for Fashion Designing… but…" She trailed off, her hands intertwining behind her back.

Katsuki's brows furrowed and a deep frown came onto his lips. "It's not U.A, is it?" Mizuki shook her head, her red eyes showing the guilt that clutched her heart. "Where is it?" He asked and Mizuki clenched her eyes shut.

"Okayama." Katsuki's feet stilled and Mizuki glanced back at her brother's troubled expression. "I know. Dad said that I can stay in the dorms and come visit on weekends. It'll be better that way and if I really want to go into designing-"

"You're not going," Katsuki interrupted her and Mizuki lost her trail of thought. "Okayama? Do you have any idea how far away that place is? What the hell are you thinking going to a place like that?" Mizuki frowned and turned towards him.

"Don't you think I want to stay here with you?! I don't want to go so far away but I want to be the best designer there is! I don't want to be in your way to pursue your dream!" Mizuki argued with him and a vein popped out of Katsuki's head.

"Weren't you the one who always said that we're going to become the best hero team there was? Huh?!" Mizuki's eyes widened. "You can go design whatever the hell you want after we're the best hero team," Katsuki said and Mizuki let out a deep sigh.

Everything Katsuki said was true but it was when they were children. They would always play with each other and pretend to be the best heroes there were. However, it wasn't the same anymore, they were growing up.

"Whatever, can we go now? Your friends are waiting for you." Mizuki turned on her heels and walked on, her brother soon joining her side again. She avoided his gaze despite feeling it burn into her from the side.

"We'll talk about this later."

Mizuki didn't respond. What could she say? She wanted to be the best of the best designers and she had the chance to pursue her dream. Even so… She didn't want to be apart from her brother. The thought was terrifying.

They had always been together. Where he went, she followed and the other way around. They were the same coin, each side different but filling each other perfectly. They would argue, fight, play, laugh and do everything together.

When they were children, they would fantasize how they would be the best exploding team of heroes and that even All Might would fear them. No one would be able to stand up to them or be blown away.

That started to change over the years.

Katsuki didn't like this one bit. He didn't want his sister to leave his side and go so far away. The fact that she never even told him, angered him to no ends. They were a team, the perfect match to reach the top. Yet, she wanted to go on her own.

No, he refused to accept that decision. He was not going to let her slip from beside him. He was going to protect her, like he had always done despite being younger by only a few seconds and no one was going to stop him.

"Morning, Katsuki, Mizuki." Katsuki's brown haired friend greeted the twins as they arrived at school and Mizuki glanced up at them. Katsuki gave them a grunt in recognition while Mizuki merely walked past them without saying a word.

"Dude, what's gotten under your sister's skin? She's usually so bubbly and all over the place," the male pointed out as he walked with Katsuki. The ash blonde male glared at his friend and then huffed.

"Maybe your stupid face pissed her off." Katsuki watched as his friend looked at him with an upset expression and shrugged it off. His friend, accepting the male's usual rude attitude joined him and entered the school grounds for the day that lay ahead of them.

Mizuki sat in class, her mind elsewhere from where it should be. The Homeroom teacher continued to take roll call, her friends laughing by her side as they whispered amongst themselves but she didn't join their chatter.

They tried to converse with her but even that failed to happen. She needed some space to think for herself and decide about the whole High School thing. It was eating her up from the inside out and she didn't like it one bit.

"Ah, that reminds me. You're all aspiring third years! You should start thinking about what you want to do with your future!" The homeroom Teacher, Natsuka, stated. Her brown hair was in it's usual, unusual perm and her smile was kind as it fitted with her brown eyes.

"There are a lot of different options you can choose from so I'll be giving you all some handouts… Then again, most of you are all planning to become heroes, aren't you?" The class let out cheering sounds and she chuckled.

"That's great! You all have interesting quirks and I'm sure you'll learn to use them to help make society a better place!" They all cheered again and Mizuki let out a sigh. And here she thought she would get some peace and quiet.

"Did you hear that Mizuki-chan? We're all going to be such cool heroes! And with your awesome skills, we'll even have the best outfits to match!" One of her friends, Rinako, squealed as excitement boiled in her system.

Her blonde braided her fell down her back and her blueish grey eyes shone brightly. She had a strange quirk that could control the different phases of water, turning it into damp or ice when she concentrated but only at small masses.

"Not to mention, there will be a lot of hot heroes we'll be side kick off! Kyah!" Her other friend, Akira, stated on Mizuki's other side. The two girls sweat dropped at her reason for wanting to become a hero.

Chino Akira
Age: 14
Quirk: Eidetic Memory

"Y-Yeah, I guess you're right."

"What about you, Mizuki? You're probably planning to surpass your brother and become the sexiest, explosion hero there is," one of the boys in her class said and Mizuki rolled her eyes at the male while her friends gave him death glares.

"That's right, Mizuki, your brother wanted to go to U.A, right?" The entire class exclaimed in shock at the homeroom teacher's statement. "Aren't you going to apply as well?" She asked and everyone's eyes suddenly landed on her, making her growl in irritation.

"I'm still deciding if I want to go or not," she told the teacher before looking at the disappointed looks she received. "If you have a problem with that, I'll be sure to help you out." Sparks appeared on her skin and everyone quickly shifted in their seats.

"Scary… She's just like her brother…" As if in que, there was an explosion next door where her brother's class was and she groaned. He wasn't making the situation any better than it was and she could practically feel his agitation from next door.

"That was probably Bakugou. I heard that he wasn't the only one to apply to U.A. but Midoriya as well," Natsuka stated and Mizuki felt her entire body tense up. She looked at the teacher in disbelief and felt her heart give a tight squeeze.

You're really going for it, aren't you, Izu-kun?
