Hi, everyone! I've been working very hard on this story and finally managed to write this piece. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did while writing it. Please feel free to review, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Disclaimer: I don't own My Hero Academia or any of its characters. Mizuki, however, is my own creation.

Let's start with the story, shall we?*

Chapter 8

Mizuki looked herself over in the mirror, smiling at the uniform she wore. It was finally happening. She was accepted into UA and today she would have her first day. Another thrill of excitement washed over her and she snickered.

She went to put on her school shoes and fixed her hair one last time. She went to grab her back and double checked to make sure she had everything packed. She didn't want to be unprepared for anything.

The U.A. High School student uniform consisted of a long -sleeve, button-up white shirt, a grey jacket with blue-green stripes and a red tie. The girls' uniform included a dark, blue-green shirt while the boys' uniform included a dark blue-green pants.

"Mizuki! Hurry up your lazy ass! I don't want to be late!" Katsuki's voice rang throughout the house. Mizuki rolled her eyes as she opened her door. Of course, he was in his usual bad mood. Here she thought that he would be a little bit…happier? She huffed and shook her head.

Katsuki was Katsuki.

"Coming!" She called as she rushed into the living room. This was it. She was going to become a hero by her brother's side. They were going to become the greatest. They were going to conquer all the obstacles in their way.

"Ah, Mizuki, you cut your hair?" Mizuki glanced at her father as his eyes peeked above the newspaper he was reading. Mizuki nodded as she gently ran her fingers through her hair, waiting for her father's comment.

"I like it." Mizuki's face lit up and she gave him a big smirk. "It's very nostalgic. It reminds me when I met your mother…" Masaru hummed in thought as he recalled the past. A small smile came onto his lips and he chuckled.

"Something tells me you're thinking of nothing good," Mitsuki added as she stepped into the living room with a tray of drinks for her and her husband. She gave him a displeasing look and Masaru laughed nervously.

"No! Not at all! I-I was just thinking about the past…" Masaru trailed off. He rubbed her cheek and averted his eyes away from his wife. He could feel his cheeks warm up and ignored her glance as she sat down the drinks.

"Oh? And here I became a bit excited," Mitsuki's words rang and Masaru's eyes widened. Mizuki cringed and shivered. She didn't want to be a part of this at all! Why did this entire conversation turn for the worse?

"First of all, gross!" Mizuki made a gagging motion. "Second, can you do this when we're not here. We're still underaged, you know!" The young blonde scolded her parents. Her father apologized underneath his breath while her mother laughed loudly.

"Don't act so innocent, Mizuki. You're teenagers. I'm sure that you've already done your research. Not to mention you and Izuku have gotten quite close." Mizuki's expression became mortified at her mother's words.

"NO!"

The entire house shook at her yell. She breathed heavy, her face flushed and steam coming from her head. She didn't want to hear anymore. Moreover, it wasn't like that! Why did her mother have to ruin this?!

"Oi, Mizuki! What the hell-?""I'm leaving!" Mizuki brushed passed her brother without any other words. Katsuki blinked in confusion as she exited and slammed the door behind her. He was completely dumb folded.

"Have a nice day!" Mitsuki innocently called after her daughter, Masaru sweat dropping as a result. He knew that Izuku was a sensitive subject. No one knew what the exact relationship between them was and he didn't ask either. His wife, however, was pushing the subject much more than she needed to.

"Old Hag, what the hell did you do to her?" Katsuki asked, still baffled at what had just happened. He came in from the outside after getting tired of waiting for Mizuki, only to find that he missed an entire conversation.

"Don't call me an 'Old Hag' you, disrespectful brat! I didn't do anything to her!" Mitsuki snapped at her son, veins palpitating out from her head. Masaru and Katsuki both gave her disbelieving looks, her argument not valid.

"Whatever. I'm going." Katsuki shrugged and then waved off his parents. He exited, closing the door behind him. He decided that he didn't need to know. He could feel the fumes coming from his sister and didn't want to fan them.

Mizuki waited for him at the gate, her arms crossed and her cheeks a bit tinted. She was heavily embarrassed and if he didn't take caution with what he was going to say or do, then she was going to be a ticking time bomb.

He was about to say something when she interrupted him. "Only for today, I won't scold you about your untidiness. You hear me? Only for today!" Mizuki pointed at him, her face flushed and caused her statement to be less threatening than she intended it to be.

She then walked off without another word. Katsuki stared at her retreating back and then shrugged. He walked off, soon joining her side and eyeing her from the corner of his eyes. She was quiet, which only added to his curiosity but he decided not to pursue it.

Mizuki let out a breath she unconsciously held in and resisted the urge to shake her head. This was her first day of High School. She wasn't going to let anything bother her. She was approaching her first ever lesson to become a hero and she was doing it alongside her brother.

She was ecstatic to share it with him. She wasn't going to tell him, though. His inflated ego was already a problem as it was. If she boasted him even more, it'll swallow her whole and suffocate her. It was a secret she was going to keep for herself.

"I think this is going to be the first time in a while that we're in the same class together. We haven't been in the same class since Primary School," Mizuki spoke up. Katsuki glanced at his sister and then smirked.

"Yeah, the last time we were sharing a classroom, we almost blew up the building. Tch, dumbass teachers. It was their fault for pissing us off," Katsuki recalled and Mizuki chuckled in amusement. Those were the days.

He was relieved. Mizuki was by his side. He was going to become the number one hero and his sister would be there with him. He was glad that she was here with him and that they would experience all the different challenges together. He wasn't going to say it. After all, he didn't want to give the impression that he cared.

They continued in silence. The soundless atmosphere calm and content. No words were spoken but it felt as if they were talking years' worth with each other. It was a peculiar feeling but neither of them would want it any other way.

The silence was broken when they came to a stop by the large gate of U.A. High School, their eyes landing on a large building in the middle of the courtyard. It was in the shape of an 'H' and had lass lining out the building. It was quite a view.

Katsuki huffed. "I'd like to see you get a view like this at that other stupid school you wanted to go to," he commented and Mizuki gave him a disapproving look. She did agree with him. This couldn't be compared with anything she's ever seen. Yet, it didn't mean he could bash out one of the top designer schools there was.

"Whatever. Let's head to our class. If we still have time after that, maybe we can take a tour?" Mizuki suggested, changing the subject rather quickly. Katsuki grunted, and followed his sister, his words kept for himself. Something that she was very grateful for.

The building was even bigger on the inside than on the outside. It was confusing but Katsuki easily found his way around. It wasn't long until they came to the door. Classroom 1-A. The door was enormous, the classroom less so.

All attention was on the twins as they entered the classroom. A few of the students had already arrived and taken their seats. These people were part of the chosen 36 students that passed the exams? Interesting…

Katsuki completely blew off all the stares he received and went to take a seat by the furthest row. He gave her a glance, showing her where she should take her seat. Mizuki, however, merely rolled her eyes at the male. She was going to sit where she wanted to.

She observed the students that had already arrived, her brows furrowing and a frown coming onto her lips. Izuku wasn't there. Maybe it was still early for him? Maybe he was in class 1-B? She shook her head at the raging thoughts. He was accepted. She would see him sooner or later.

"Hey, it's you!"

Mizuki glanced up after she put down her bag and glanced up into a pair of crimson eyes. She was greeted with a big, bright smile that nearly blinded her for a second. She raised an eyebrow at the spiky redhead that stood in front of her, a familiar spiky teeth smile making her eyes widened.

"Ah, you're here," she vaguely stated and then smirked. "Looks like you weren't talk after all." Her words made him chuckle lightly as he rubbed the back of his head. Mizuki's attention was drawn towards the change in hairstyle, her brows twitching.

"Yeah, and you too! Though, I knew that you would get in. You were really amazing! Looks like we're both going to become hero's, huh?" Eijiro stated and noticed Mizuki's averted attention. She was taking in his new hair style, a blush creeping onto his cheeks when she touched his hair.

"You changed your hair." Her voice was impassive, calm and deep. "I like it. The style fits you perfectly and gives a better view of your face. You shouldn't hide a face that can bright up a room," she complimented the male and he laughed, a faint flush on his cheeks.

"T-Thanks… You…um… You also changed your hair?" To his dismay, it came out as a question and he involuntarily cringed when she raised a skeptical eyebrow. "A-Ah, I-I mean it looks good! W-what made you cut it?" He asked and Mizuki pointed towards her brother who sat behind her.

Eijiro glanced behind her and caught sight of the glare directed towards him. He blinked a few times and then smiled with a wave. Katsuki scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest, looking away with a scowl plastered on his lips.

Eijiro laughed uncertainly and Mizuki shrugged it off. "Don't give him the time of day. He may be my brother but even I know that he's an absolute ass at times. Just a piece of advice for the future," she told him and he snickered in amusement.

"Are you excited for today?" Eijiro asked and Mizuki couldn't help but smirk at the male's energy. He was practically overflowing with enthusiasm. It was much more than the last time they had encountered each other and she could see that his eyes had changed.

"In a way, yes. I'm more excited with the challenges they're going to throw at us than anything else," she said and he grinned. He figured she would've said something like that. She was strong and calculating, always up for a challenge.

Katsuki observed the entire situation from the side-lines, not liking it one bit. Mizuki had never mentioned knowing anyone in their class, aside from Deku. Why were they so chummy? Who the hell was he? Katsuki growled at the back of his throat and put his legs up on the desk in front of him.

"Oh, you!" His attention along with the rest of the class' were drawn towards the dark-haired male that came marching towards him. "Don't put your feet on the desk!" He scolded Katsuki, the ash blonde male giving him a devilish smirk.

"Huh?"

"Don't you think that's rude to the U.A. upperclassmen and people who made the desk?" The male continued to scold, glaring at Katsuki behind his square shaped glasses. Mizuki stopped conversing with Eijiro and glanced back, the voice all too familiar for her.

"Nope. What junior high did you go to, you side character?" Katsuki asked, insulting the male in his question. Mizuki's eyes darkened as she took in the appearance of the male. There was no mistaking it. It was him.

"I attended Somei Private Academy. My name is Iida Tenya," Iida introduced himself, regaining his composure and moving his arms robotically. His statement caused Katsuki to grin widely, his eyes shining with confidence.

"Somei? So, you're a damn elite, huh? Looks like I'll have fun crushing you," Katsuki told the male and Iida was taken back by his words. The entire class had their eyes on the exchange, Mizuki clenching a fist by her side.

"Crushing?! That's cruel. Do you truly aim to be a hero?" Iida asked, his eyes wide in shock and his body showing his disbelief. Katsuki rolled his eyes and scoffed in irritancy. He was surrounded by elites and goody-two-shoes.

Mizuki was about to say something, the sliding of the door cutting off her words before they left her mouth. She glanced back, dark eyes lighting up instantly and a smile forming onto her lips. In the doorway stood the male she waited to see.

"You're-""Izu-kun."

Mizuki walked towards the green, scruffy haired male, a big grin plastered on her lips. Izuki's nervousness vanished when he saw Mizuki and a relieved smile came onto his lips. He wasn't going to be alone with the two angry males.

"Mi-chan! Am I glad to see you!" Izuku boasted and Mizuki chuckled. She noticed the panic vanish in his eyes as he looked at her, knowing that he was a wreck when he saw her brother and the practically full class. Strange, she didn't even notice the rest come in.

"Good morning!" Iida announced loudly as he marched over towards Mizuki and Izuku stood, her mood immediately turning sour. Who the hell did he think he was wanting to talk to them? "I am from Somei Private Academy. My name is-"

Tenya Iida
Age: 15
Quirk: Engine

"I heard!" Izuki interrupted and nervously scratched his cheek. Mizuki merely glared at the male, wanting to kill him where he stood, her fingers twitching. "I'm Midoriya, Nice to meet you, Iida-kun," Izuku said.

"Midoriya-kun, you realized there was something more to that practical exam, didn't you?" Iida closed his eyes in regret. "I had no idea… I misjudged you! I hate to admit it, but you are better than me," he said and Mizuki huffed.

"Of course, he is." Their attention was drawn towards the pissed off ash-blonde girl, Izuku paling. "Who the hell do you think you are talking to Izu-kun? Weren't you the one who publicly humiliated him during the introduction speech?" She recalled and the male's eyes widened along with Izuku's.

"Mi-chan…" She remembered something small like that?

"You, scum elite, had the nerve to publicly humiliate him and now you're regretting to admit he's better than you? Don't make me laugh. I can't believe they let in scum like you. I'll make it very clear, Iida Tenya. I don't like you and if I can give you some advice…" Her eyes darkened, red eyes narrowing onto him.

"Do something like that to him one more time, and you'll be trying to become a hero from your grave," she threatened. Iida felt a shiver run down his spine while Izuku stared at Mizuki in surprise. She left the male with glasses speechless as she went to sit by her desk, crossing her arms over her chest.

She had said what was needed to. She made herself clear and she was watching him very closely. Izuku wanted to become a hero more than anyone and was working harder than anyone in this classroom. She wouldn't have it if someone was to pick on him. Not now. Not ever.

The atmosphere was broken when a cheerful brown-haired female arrived and communicated with Izuku. Mizuki wasn't in the least bothered by her presence and kept her thoughts for herself, not noticing the glances she received from bother her brother and Eijiro.

Eijiro observed her from the sides, taken back by her intimidating threats. He didn't expect to see this side of her and what surprised him more was that she stood up for the green haired boy's sake, Not even her own.

He couldn't help but smile. Not only was she insanely strong, she was kind and stood up for what was right. He couldn't help but be amazed by this girl. He was definitely going to get to know her during their time.

"Go somewhere else if you want to play at being friends. This is the hero course," a gruff voice spoke up from outside the classroom and Mizuki glancing in that direction but not managing to see anything with everyone in the way.

"Okay, it took eight seconds before you were quiet. Time is limited. You kids are not rational enough." The dark-haired male ripped himself out of what looked like a caterpillar sleeping bag, the bags beneath his eyes dark.

"I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Nice to meet you," he said and the entire class exclaimed in shock. They were told that they would be taught by pro heroes, but none of them recognized him one bit.

He was a slender, tall and pale-skinned with messy, shoulder length black hair that partially hung in front of his face and over his half opened black eyes. He appeared worn out with his facial hair unkempt and his eyes tired and flat.

He wore a ragged black outfit that consists of a long-sleeved shirt and matching pants, tucked into his boots. To complete the look, he wore a utility belt with his rap scarf that rested around his neck. It was a plain and ragged look. Something Mizuki found perfectly fitting for his complexion.

"It's kind of sudden, but put this on and go out onto the field," he said, pulling out a gym outfit to show them. Mizuki raised an eyebrow, a smirk twitching at the corners of her mouth. This day was turning out to be quite interesting indeed.

There were two changing rooms, one for each gender. Mizuki was the first one to enter and changed into her P.E. uniform. It consisted of a pair of dark blue pants with white vertical lines going up the legs and a dark blue, short sleeve shirt with white lines that form the letters 'U' and 'A'.

The other girls were bubbly, laughing and smiling as they introduced each other. Mizuki, on the other hand, kept her thoughts to herself and didn't indulge in conversing with her fellow classmates. In that moment she missed her old friends.

The two crazy girls who didn't match up at all but carried her through her days of Junior High. She wondered how their first day was? They went to Tokyo High, a High School with no hero course. They both decided on their passions and against hero work.

"Um, sorry…" Mizuki was brought out from her thoughts and turned towards a brown-haired female. She had a warm smile plastered on her lips, her short bob hair complimenting her shy look. Mizuki raised an eyebrow at the female, not saying anything.

"I'm Uraraka Ochaco. Nice to meet you," she introduced herself and nervously shifted underneath Mizuki's heated gaze. Strange. The other girls didn't dare to interact with her, since they had seen her little outburst earlier.

This girl didn't seem know of any of it or it didn't matter to her. It would only be a matter of time before she was scared off as well. After all, there were only a few people who brushed passed her demeanor and painfully honest commentary.

Uraraka Ochaco
Age: 15
Quirk: Zero Gravity

"Mizuki Bakugou," Mizuki plainly stated and watched as Ochako's face lit up. The other girls watched the interaction from their side of the room, skeptical at the calmness of Mizuki after they had seen a tinge of her temper.

"Bakugou-san, you look really strong! What type of quirk do you have? Ah, if you don't mind me asking!" Ochako asked, and flushed slightly. She could tell that this girl was strong and by the gleam in her eyes that she only wanted to go one way. The top.

"Mizuki." Ochako blinked in surprise and looked at Mizuki. "Bakugou is my brother," Mizuki closed her locked and gave Ochako a smirk. "You'll see my quirk soon enough." She then walked out of the locker room, leaving the girl baffled and amazed simultaneously.

"M-Mi-chan!"

Mizuki stopped in her tracks and glanced back at Izuku who exited the men's changing room right after her. He waved at her with a big smile and she unconsciously smiled back at him. He looked content, happy and nervous, all the emotions streaming through his eyes.

She then recalled her mother's words from earlier the morning and blushed. No. It wasn't like that. Izuku was her best friend. They had been together since childhood and had been close for a long time. That didn't mean that they liked each other in that way.

"I wonder what Aizawa Sensei wants us to do," Izuku said as he walked beside Mizuki who barely heard what he was saying. Izuku laughed sheepishly. "I never thought the day would come that we would be in the same class together."

Mizuki glanced back at him and nodded with a small smile, her thoughts still disturbing her. "Yeah, same here. I can't wait to see what you have in you, Izu-kun. You trained hard with Toshinori-san and buffed up good. Don't go disappointing me," Mizuki gave him a wink and he blushed.

"I-I'll try my best!"

Mizuki chuckled and nodded. She knew that he wouldn't. He had never done it before. She was itching to see what the results were of his training. She looked down at her hand and flexed her fingers. She was excited to show him the result of her own training as well.

"Move, Shitty Nerd," Bakugou pushed Izuku aside as he came in next to Mizuki. He had his usual scowl plastered on his face, his red eyes glaring back at the green haired boy who swallowed nervously.

WHACK!

Steam emerged from Mizuki's fist after hitting her brother, his crimson eyes giving her a deadly glare that she was unfazed by. Izuku, in the meantime, paled and started to sweat bullets at the dangerous auras that came from the twins.

"Stop being rude, Katsuki. We're going to be in the same class for the rest of the year so you might as well change your shitty attitude," Mizuki scolded him and Katsuki scoffed. He pocketed his hands, his eyes looking at her intensely.

"We're not here to make friends, Mizuki. We're here to become the best of the best, not to make friends with our rivals," Katsuki said and Mizuki's rolled her eyes at the male. She pocketed her hands.

"Doesn't kill to have companions along the way, does it?" She pointed out and had her brother click his tongue out of agitation. Mizuki sighed and gave Izuku an apologetic smile, the male shaking his head with his own understanding smile.

"Let's go," he told her and Mizuki followed reluctantly. She frowned, her thoughts overtaking her. In a way he was right. They were here to become heroes. To make it to the top. She knew that and yet felt bothersome by her brother's words. She couldn't quite place where it was coming from.

She was taking this seriously. At that time when she thought she would lose her brother, she acted out of pure instinct to save him. She needed to become a hero that wouldn't be held back by shackles because of abilities.

"You lot took your sweet time," Aizawa's voice reached her ears and she glanced up at the male, the entire class standing outside by the athletic field. "Alright, we're going to have a quirk assessment test now." Mizuki raised an eyebrow as the students exclaimed in surprise.

"If you're going to become a hero, you don't have time for leisurely events," he stated as he gestured towards the entrance ceremony and orientation that many students had expected. "U.A.'s selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are. That's how the teachers run their classes."

Mizuki smirked as he continued, noting that she was going to like this male. "You kids have been doing these since junior high, too, right? Physical fitness tests where you weren't allowed to use your Quirks." He held out a mobile device that listed a bunch of fitness tests.

"The country still uses average taken from results from students not using their Quirks." Mizuki retrained a huff. That didn't stop the strength types who couldn't not use their quirks. "It's not rational." Mizuki's smirk grew. Yes, she was definitely liking their homeroom teacher.

"Well, the Ministry of Education is procrastinating… Mizuki, you finished at the top of the practical exam, right?" Aizawa spoke Katsuki and Mizuki glancing at each other. He gave her a look of disbelief while she teased him with her eyes. Katsuki beat her in theoretical exam.

"That's right," she said and had everyone looking at her in surprise. Izuku was gaping, not knowing that she beat Katsuki at the practical exam. How was that even possible?! He glanced at Katsuki, the male glaring daggers at his sister.

Eijiro stared at Mizuki in amazement, once again surprised at the news. He recalled the way she fought against the robots and then blew up the large robot. She did it all with a smirk plastered on her face.

"In junior high, what was your best result for softball throw?" Aizawa asked the red eyed male. Mizuki briefly recalled her brother's past scored and was reminded that he was popular with sports that wanted him but he was never interested.

"62 meters."

"Then, try doing it with your Quirk." Mizuki moved towards the designated circle and caught the softball that Aizawa tossed towards her. "You can do whatever you want as long as you stay in the circle. Hurry up. Give it all you're got."

Oh, this was going to be good. Mizuki had been ready the entire day long. She glanced at her brother, the male having a lot of frustration building up, especially with Izuku standing only a few feet away from him. She chuckled in amusement and inhaled deeply to calm herself.

Mizuki stood in the circle and looked down at the ball in her hand palm. She was well aware that she didn't have the same strength her brother had, nor did she have the physique of a male. She would have to use her quirk to a further advantage.

She pulled back the ball, her eyes narrowing. Control. She let small sparkling of explosions come from her arm as it lit up brightly. What would Katsuki yell in this situation again? She thought and then grinned.

"DIE!" She let out a cry as a heated explosion erupted from her entire arm as she threw the ball into the air. There was a bit of shockwave from the force, the males looking at her with wide eyes and Katsuki smirking.

"Die…?" Izuku stared blankly at his childhood friend, the phrase unexpected and at the same time he knew she did it on purpose to tease her brother. The ball flew through the air, only a speck in the blue sky and then landing quite a distance away.

"Know your own maximum first. That is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero," Aizawa stated and showed the score. 695 metres. Everyone exclaimed in shock and Mizuki gave her brother a wink.

"695 metres? Are you serious?"

"What is this? This looks fun! We can use our Quirks as much as we want! As expected from the hero course!" Some of the students started to murmur between each other, everyone starting to grin in excitement.

"It looks fun, huh? You have three years to become a hero. Will you have an attitude like that the whole time?" Aizawa then grinned evilly. "Alright. Whoever comes in last place in all eight tests will be judged to have no potential and will be punished with expulsion." Mizuki's eyes widened.

"WHAT?!"

"We're free to do what we want about the circumstances of our students. Welcome to U.A.'s hero course!" Aizawa stated and gave them all the most sadistic grin. Mizuki and Katsuki grinned, excitement boiling in their system.

"Last place will be expelled? But it's the first day of school! No, even if it wasn't the first day of school, this is too unfair!" The girl, known as Ochaco, exclaimed a deep frown featured on her face that matched the other students' expression as well.

Mizuki glanced at Izuku, his face fear stricken. He knew the consequences of Aizawa's words and it chilled him to the bone. He had gone so far to made it into the hero course and now he stood a chance to lose it. The thought made Mizuki's lips press into a straight line.

You better make this, Izu-kun.

"Natural disasters, big accidents and selfish villains. Calamities whose time or place can't be predicted. Japan is covered with unfairness. Heroes are the ones who reverse those situations. If you wanted to go talk with your friends at Mickey D's after school, too bad," Aizawa continued.

"For the next three years, U.A. will do all it can to give you one hardship after another Go beyond. Plus Ultra. Overcome it with all you've got," he finished and beckoned them using his index finger, his grin still present.

"Hey, you better hold onto that first place tightly, Mizuki. I'm coming for you," Katsuki challenged her brother, a gleam of mischief passing through his eyes. Mizuki snickered, accepting the challenge without a moment of hesitation.

Test 1: 50-meter dash.

Mizuki watched as two students went against each other at a time, everyone's Quirks showing themselves. Engines, frog-like abilities, zero gravity, tail, navel laser, acid. They were all quite the variety.

Mizuki let out a breath as she went to stand on her mark. She tapped her shoes on the ground and stretched her arms. She could use both her palms and feet. If she let out explosions simultaneously, then she would be able to cover the distance very fast.

Kaminari Denki
Age: 15
Quirk: Eletricity

"Hey, good luck out there," a male next to her spoke up, his blonde hair spiking slightly and black parts sticking out. Mizuki raised an eyebrow at the male as he smiled at her. She merely shrugged him off and positioned herself.

"Ready, set, go!" BOOM!

Mizuki let out a medium scale explosion in both her hand palms and the soles of her feet, propelling herself forward. The male behind her was, literally, left in the dust. She let out smaller explosions to carry her just past the line, smoke coming her where her explosions erupted.

"3.2 seconds." The robot said and Mizuki let out a breath. It was quite effective using it at the same time and the force dispersed. She then looked up, Izuku and Katsuki going up against each other, her brother easily passing the other boy and claiming his 4,13 seconds.

Mizuki smirked in victory over her brother as he glared at her. She scoffed and let her eyes land on Izuku. He was hunching over and out of breath. His time was faster than some of the students but not by much. She could only hope that he would pull through.

Test 2: Grip strength.

Mizuki and Katsuki gritted their teeth as they gave their all. Unfortunately, Katsuki pulled through on top, having much more grip strength than his sister. He gave her a mocking look and she bit the inside of her cheek.

"Alright! Looks like it makes a difference!" Eijiro's voice reached her ears and she glanced at the male as he used his hardening on the device. It looks like he was doing good. She smiled, enjoying the brightness of the room that he caused.

Test 3: Standing long jump.

This test resulted in both Mizuki and Katsuki to be even after they easily blasted over the sand pit. One loss, one win and a tie. They were pushing against each other and not holding back one bit, knowing their pride wouldn't let them.

Test 4: Repeated side steps.

Mizuki inhaled deeply and then activated her quirk as she jumped fast from side to side, using the momentum and the explosions she let out from underneath the soles of her feat. Katsuki, trying to use his quirk with his hand palms, unfortunately, lost this round.

Test 5: Ball throw.

"Then, well…" Katsuki did a few arms stretches and then took a comfortable stance. Mizuki already had an idea what he was planning. He was going to add a blast to the pitch, giving an enormous source of velocity. He was going to turn the softball into ashes by the way his temper was cooking.

"DIE!"

Everyone was once again blown away by the male's strength as he let loose a large explosion and let the ball travel a great distance. Mizuki brought her hand over her eyes as she watched it travel, eventually touching the ground.

705.2 metres

"Whoa, these two are insane siblings. They even have the same quirk!" She heard from behind her and glanced back at the group. She made eye contact with Eijiro, his mouth slightly agape and his eyes wide.

"Ha, nice try in catching up," Katsuki mocked and Mizuki brushed him off. As she did so, she noticed the sleeve of her uniform cleanly burnt off and sweat dropped. She might've taken the heated explosion a little too far. Also, why was she only noticing it now?

"You two really let loose out there, huh?" Eijiro spoke up and Mizuki smirked at the male, Katsuki immediately in a sour mood at his presence. "I didn't know you two had the same quirk or it looks like it." He added.

"Well, we are competing for the top spot but you're not holding back either. The strength test went well, didn't it?" Mizuki crossed her arms over her chest as he grinned proudly. "We're twins and our quirk is somewhat the same," she explained.

"You two are leaving most of us in the dust with your results. You really beat me back there with the race too," the blonde male intercepted, Mizuki raising an eyebrow at his interruption. "I'm Kaminari Denki. Nice to meet you…um…?"

"Mizuki."

"Right, nice to meet you, Mizuki," Kaminari said and Mizuki grunted. She concluded the friendship between the redhead and the blonde, the two males seeming to have hit it off since they started with the tests.

However, she preferred the redhead. His over the top must for manliness made his actions amazing and he always kept her entertained. She was glad that he made it into the hero course and that he was in the same class as she.

"Infinity?! Whoa! That's amazing! She got infinity!" Kaminari pointed at Ochako that blushed as she came from the circle. Mizuki glanced at the innocent girl as she walked back towards the group, her thoughts kept to herself.

The next person to throw was… Izuku.

Her brows furrowed. If she remembered correctly, he wasn't active in junior high at all. His scores were unfortunately below average too. Yet, she knew that he had worked hard, his body buffing up. He could do this. He could make a decent score without him keep doubting himself.

"It doesn't look good for Midoriya is he continues like this," Iida spoke up and despite the immediate bad mood Mizuki was in, she agreed. He was panicking and overthinking everything. His scores were average but not enough either. It was a problem.

"Huh? Of course not! He's a Quirkless small fry, you know!" Katsuki snapped at the engine quirk male while pointing at Izuku. Mizuki gave him a look, not appreciating his words but let her brother be.

"Quirkless?! Are you not aware of what he did in the entrance exam?" Iida asked Katsuki in surprise. Mizuki's brows furrowed at his statement. That's right. She had never talked to Izuku about what happened at the entrance exam. Did something happen that his physical features aided him to such an extent that Iida believed he had a quirk?

Izuku gritted his teeth and without another moment of stalling pulled back the ball. Mizuki watched as he gave it his all. He threw the ball, only for it to land a few metres away from him and made her bit her bottom lip. Izuku looked more shocked than she was.

"I erased your Quirk," Aizawa stated as his hair floated up, his scarf floating around him and his yellow goggles revealed from underneath. Mizuki blinked slowly. Quirk? Erased? Their homeroom teacher could erase Quirks? No, wait. Izuku didn't have a quirk.

"That entrance exam was definitely not rational enough. Even a kid like you were accepted," Aizawa commented and added to Mizuki's confusion. Her thoughts were reeling inside her head as she tried to make sense of the situation.

"You erased my Quirk? Those goggles… I see! You can erase other people's Quirks with your Quirk just by looking at them. The Erasure Hero. Eraser Head!" Izuku stated, Mizuki's frown deepening. He was an underground hero, not very popular.

Aizawa Shota
Hero Name: Eraser Head
Age: 30
Quirk: Erasure

"From what I can tell, you can't control your Quirk, can you? Do you intend to become incapacitated again and have someone save you?" Aizawa asked and before Izuku could even argue, he was strapped by the capturing scarf of Aizawa and pulled closer.

Quirk? What Quirk? Izuku didn't have a Quirk! Mizuki had known him since they were little and they grew up together. Izuku had never manifested a Quirk. He was broken when he found out. Yet, Aizawa wouldn't use his Quirk on nothing. What was going on?

During Mizuki's ramble inside her head, Aizawa let Izuku go and he was left to stand in the circle with his own thoughts. She looked back at the male, searching for any type of answer on her questions.

"That was intense. He looks like he completely lost all motivation. What did Eraser mean when he said he can't become a hero with his power?" Eijiro asked Kaminari, the male shrugging while shaking his head in reply.

Mizuki watched as Izuku took a few moments before he snapped out of his trance. That was it. That was the determined face she knew. He pulled back his arm and then prepared to throw, her eyes not leaving him even a split second.

Her eyes widened, her eyes catching sight of his hand. His finger, was…glowing? That…wasn't possible. Izuku grunted as he threw the ball, the force causing a shockwave to burst around him, the wind hitting those near him. His index finger was bruised, and seemed to be broken in the process.

705.3 metres.

"Sensei," Izuku spoke up and turned to face Aizawa. He bit down on his lower lip and made a fist with his broken finger. "I can still move." His words had Aizawa grinning in surprise at the male's actions.

Mizuki's knees felt weak beneath her, the strength suddenly knocked out of her system. Her eyes were wide, a small trail of sweat cascading down the side of her face as she stared at Izuku. Her once childhood friend now stood like a complete stranger in front of her.

Izuku Midoriya wasn't Quirkless.

Mizuki felt a wave of nausea hit her, her body feeling hot and cold. She couldn't believe it. Was it all a lie? Did he merely manifest it very late and didn't tell her? Why wouldn't he tell her? She was his best friend, wasn't she? They told each other everything, didn't they? Didn't they?

"What is the meaning of this? Hey! Tell me what's going on, Deku, you bastard!" Katsuki exploded form his spot, Mizuki briefly snapped out of her haze. Izuku panicked as Katsuki approached but he was stopped by the scarf of Aizawa.

His outburst made Mizuki's thoughts came to a halt the only thing filling her now was confusion. She looked down at her hands, her vision blurred by tears that involuntarily formed. She gritted her teeth and hid her eyes underneath her hair.

"Geez, don't keep making me use my Quirk over and over. I have dry eye!" Aizawa snapped and released Katsuki. "We're wasting time. Whoever's next, get ready," Aizawa stated in a bored tone as he walked off.

Katsuki grinded his teeth in anger, his fists clenched by his sides. Until a while ago, Izuku was just a pebble on the side of the road. He was a nothing. No Quirk. Nothing. He meant nothing, just an attachment that always had Mizuki's support.

His eyes landed on his sister, his anger growing when he saw her holding her quivering hands to hide her emotions. Her eyes were hidden beneath a shadow that fell over it, but he could see her biting down hard on her lower lip. He could feel her emotions seeping within him and added to the fire.

It was all Izuku's fault.

The last three activities, sit-ups, seated toe-touch and long-distance run, both the twins were out of it. Mizuki didn't say a word as she did everything with her brother. Katsuki didn't say anything either, his anger merely growing with each passing second to see his sister upset.

"Okay, I'll quickly tell you the results. The total is simply the marks you received from each test. It's a waste of time to explain verbally, so I'll show you the results all at once. The person with the lowest score will be expelled," Aizawa said and put the results on a holographic screen.

"Whoa, you got third place, Mizuki," Eijiro talked next to her and gave her a grin. Mizuki looked at the screen, the redhead's eyes widening when he saw her pale and distant expression, a pang coming from his chest. She was completely out of it.

"Tch, you got lucky this time. I let you have that spot," Katsuki spoke up on the other side of Mizuki, crossing his arms over his chest. Mizuki didn't respond to his words, her red eyes staring at the screen, her eyes landing on Izuku who came last.

"By the way, I was lying about the expulsion." Aizawa turned off the screen and grinned. "It was a rational deception to draw out the upper limits of your quirks," he informed them and Mizuki's eyes traveled towards the ground.

Another lie?

"I'll take up the challenge anytime though!" Eijiro grinned, making a fist as he glowed with confidence. His grin, however, wasn't long lasting as he looked at Mizuki with a concerned expression. He didn't know what was going on, but he didn't like it at all.

"With that, we're done here. There are handouts with the curriculum and such in the classroom. When you get back, look over them," Aizawa told the students and walked off, giving Izuku a paper to have him be healed at the nurse's office.

"That's it? Nothing else? Huh, I guess for the first day of school it was exciting," Eijiro said and rubbed the back of his head. "Hey, Mizuki, do you think we'll have a busy day tomorrow?" He tried small talk and hoped it worked.

SLAP!

He flinched at her sudden actions. Mizuki slapped herself in the face using the palms of her hands to snap herself out of her spiraling thoughts. Katsuki eyed his sister as he watched her inhale deeply and then relaxed her shoulders.

"Sorry about that," Mizuki said and ran a hand through her hair as she closed her eyes. She felt tired. Exhausted. To think that her first day of school would be turned completely upside down by one single happening.

"Get a grip…" Mizuki murmured to herself and then looked back at Eijiro. "You made it into the top ten, right? I think I saw your name in the eighth spot. Looks like that manliness is bringing you far," she pointed out and he blinked in surprise. She was conversing normally again.

"Y-Yeah… B-But it's nowhere close to yours though!"

"Ah man, I didn't even make it to the top ten. I guess doing simple field tests is difficult with some quirks," Kaminari said with a small frown plastered on his lips. Another male, one who could produce tape from his elbows grinned and patted him on his back.

"Don't worry about it. There'll be plenty of time for you to prove your worth. Today's only the first day, right?" He tried to motivate the male. Kaminari then grinned and nodded, also making a fist as he found new enthusiasm.

Mizuki walked behind the trio as they conversed freely, her hands pocketed in her pants and her brother copying her. They didn't talk a single word to each other, knowing very well that the neither one of them wanted to.

They needed silence for their raging emotions.
