"ST-682, it is time for your test."

It was cold and straight to the point. What else would he expect for a no name like him? Kindness sure wasn't one of them.

Coldness, rudeness, sure. That was what he always got from his master, usually anyways. Sometimes master was nice.

He stood up from his position on a stool, turned to face his master at the now unlocked door, and strood toward his master.

The door was on the left from where he sat in the middle of the dark and damp room. Filled with children and adults of all ages and of all species.

He didn't remember where he was from, or what species he was. No one did once they came to this place, wherever this place was. He was sure they didn't have a choice in that matter when they came here. But they didn't remember, so no need to dwell on it.

His master raised a brow at him, but his golden optics stared straight ahead. To meet the gaze of a superior was very frowned upon here, and was seen as a challenge. Something everyone found out when they first came.

Some learned the hard way, or the easy way.

His master took his hand and put it on his shoulder and guided him into the hallway, closing the door behind them. The click of the lock was unmistakable, the green light at the top of the door turning dark red.

The guards were still on either side of the door, their size making them extremely intimidating to a small child like him. He didn't even reach their waist.

As his master led him through the halls at the right, he found his gaze wandering. After all, he didn't go through the halls very often.

The walls were made of some sort of metal it seemed. They looked like they would not be easy to break, though some spots did look a bit rusty. This place had clearly been here for a while. Probably hundreds of years.

There were also a few doors along the way, each clearly being locked. There were also a few other children being led into other rooms. Some had lifeless eyes, staring forward and unaffected. Some had rage and resentment, and others had grief and sadness. It was a range of emotions, but once you spend about a few days here, you'll learn that emotions don't do anything, just make it worse.

The hand on his shoulder made him turn to a door on his right, making him stop in front of it. His master took a card out from his right pocket and slid it across the access pad. It beeped a few times before the red light on the top of the door clicked and turned green.

Master opened the door and led him inside.

It was somewhere he was unfamiliar with. He looked around and tilted his head in curiosity. It was like an operation room. They would probably be experimenting with him again, probably with his heart.

"Get on top of the table." Master ordered, not even turning to look at him. He didn't deserve to be looked at, they would say, you're nothing.

He obeyed, quietly walking to the blood and energon stained table, where former test subjects once laid. Despite his small size, he had climbed onto enough tables to know how to get into them easily and not make his master mad.

He raised his small hands up and grasped the side of it, bending his elbows and going onto his tippy toes. He did a small jump and he managed to get his waist onto the edge of the table. He lifted his right leg and placed it on the table, did one more push, and he got onto the table.

He turned around and sat obediently, waiting for his master's instructions or orders. He placed his hands into his lap and he was silent and still, eyes forward and a frown on his lips.

Master turned to him and nodded his approval, making his heart swell. Though he did not smile, that would not be accepted.

Master did not look like him. Master was what you would call a 'human'. Master had dark brown hair, smooth white skin, upturned button nose. Narrowed emerald eyes that seemed to look right into his soul at every chance. Master was always wearing a white lab coat. Two pockets on each side. The left side had stuff like wrenches and syringes, while the other had pencils and pens. Pencils that would take notes as master experiments.

Him, on the other hand, had tons of metal on him. It was supposed to be golden and black, but over time it turned into some sort of darkish gray, stained from all the dust and grime in the rooms.

They did not get baths often. Even if they did, the assistants would scrub harshly that you end up dreading the thought of ever having a bath.

From what he could see from mirrors sometimes, he had dimmed blue eyes and light grey skin. Some skin was black, like his hips and hands. He wasn't sure if it was even called skin, but the master said that's what it was, so he would call it that.

Master walked over to him, a scalpel and a piece of long but tiny wood. Master studied him for a moment, probably thinking of what he wanted to do first.

"Lay down." It was the first command.

He did what he told, laying down onto his back. Watching as his master stood over him and tapped his chest. He mentally sighed and allowed himself to open his chest so his master could see his heart.

His heart created a bright light of blue. Making his master turn his head for a moment before looking back at his heart.

Master made a disgusted face at it, making his heart feel like it stopped. Master glanced up at his face but his expression was clear of emotion.

"Your heart should be extinguished. Would do us all a favour." Master muttered, reaching into his chest and brushing his hand against his exposed heart.

Master started to tinker a bit with it, poking it, putting a tip of a finger into its warmth, pushing it. Everything that was normal.

Soon his master took his hand out and took the scalpel into his right hand. Master took his left and pushed a button that triggered the restraints. They locked around his ankles, wrists, upper arms, beneath where his chest was open, and around his forehead.

He was confused, he had never been restricted before. He was always good, silent, and took orders seriously. Was he being punished for something?

Master chuckled, seeing the confusion in his eyes.

"Don't worry, child" Masters voice was dripping with venom. Mouth turned into a sadistic grin.

"This won't hurt." Master paused, "Much."

And with that master reached back into his chest with the scalpel, gripping his heart tightly with his left hand, and making him squirm. He then took his right hand with the scalpel and dug it into the right side of his heart.

His mouth dropped, his master wasn't even pushing that hard and it felt like agony. He wriggled in pain as his master started to drag the scalpel across his heart, cutting it.

He started bucking as his master continued. He didn't understand. What did he do wrong? He was sure he did nothing.

He wailed as his master cut deeper into his heart. His eyes shutting tightly as his engine screamed, his fans working overtime to try and cool his frame. He couldn't do anything. He was well tied down. He could only hope it would end soon.

He was sure he was going to die. He was. He had too. Master didn't stop. As soon as he was done with one cut, he would do another. And another. And another. Master never stopped.

It was only when it felt like forever that master stopped, and removed his hands from his chest. He himself had fallen silent as the pain got too much, his head turned to the side, mouth open and breathing heavily. He was shaking, trembling. Eyes blown wide in shock.

Master chuckled at his expression, shaking his head. Master reached out and placed his head on his head, softly stroking it, giving mocking comfort to him.

"Oh child, it wasn't that bad." Master cooed gently.

His eyes shuttered as his breath hitched, his lip wobbling as he stared up at his master.

Master clicked a button, and the restraints went away. His wrists bruised from how hard he struggled. Trying to get away from the pain that didn't seem to end.

Master manually closed his chest, making his heart go away from sight. The light disappearing.

Master reached and put his hand on his back, making him sit up slowly. He winced at the multiple pains that went through his body. It was like a burning sensation, like tons of pins were stuck in his heart.

He was confused. Master had just hurt him, and said his heart should be extinguished. Now he was being kind and caring, helping him. That was always how his master was. He would hurt you, and then he would be nice.

Master picked him up into his arms. His legs went around his masters waist, while his arms went behind his master's neck. Master held his back and under his ass to keep him stable from falling. He leaned into master, taking the only comfort he could until he was safely into the cells with the others and his roommate. After all, it was basically time for, as what master called it, quiet time. Where all test subjects went to their cells in the lower levels, escorted by their own masters, and locked in there until morning.

The younger ones always got celled with the elder. That's how it always was. It was so the younger could try and learn more closely with someone who had been there for a while.

He was stuck with an elder male. His number being AW-910. Though, everyone had some sort of nickname, because it was easier than numbers. His roommate's nickname was Blue. Because he was mostly blue, mostly.

His roommate was tall. His skin is blue. He had some sort of visor connected to his face, covering his eyes. The visor was also dark blue. His ears were some sort of circles that were black and on each side of his head.

His nickname was Sunstreaker, because of his once golden colour. Some people call him Streaker or Sunny for short. But only people close to him, people he had been with for years.

As his master took him down the two floors to where the cells were, he rested his head on master's shoulder, watching as others were led out of rooms. They were going to the same place he was going, so they followed master with their own masters. He locked eyes with them and they gave short little nods.

He felt and saw his master stop, they were there.

He heard the creek of the door and his master walked into the cell room, carrying him to his cell. Master unlocked it and walked in. He saw from the corner of his eye his roommate tense up.

Though his master only went to his bed and plopped him down on it. Master stared down at him for a minute, even though he wasn't looking up at his master, he could feel his masters gaze.

After, his master turned on his heel, walked out of his cell, and out the door, making sure to lock it.

Everyone in the cells was quiet for a few minutes or seconds, it was deafening and he could hear a ringing noise in his ears.

"Are you okay, Streaker? Please, tell us no lies." His roommate spoke softly, making sure not to startle him.

"Yes, I am. My test was not very complicated." He lied, it seemed like it was convincing enough, as multiple sighs of relief fill the air.

He was the youngest of the subjects, so everyone was very protective of him as a result. It was the rules of the cell to try and protect the youngest, though it was not possible to protect them from the horrors of the experiments.

"I heard that we're getting a new person soon!" A cheerful voice rang out after a bit.

"Seriously?" Another said.

"What cell is he going into?"

"I don't know, I just saw them walking with one of the masters." The first voice said again.

"What colour were they?" He asked, going up to the bars with his roommate, Blue.

"Red, they look like Sunstreakers age, maybe younger." There were multiple gasps of shock. It was already a shock that a child of his age was here, and he was 4. If this child was younger, then it would be a first.

"We'll protect him to the best of our abilities once they are here." Blue said, getting tons of mumbled agreements from others.

"I don't think we can protect them from the horrors of the experiments. I think they already had one." A quiet voice said softly.

"What?!" That was from a cell to his left. He thinks it's Sidelock, an older person.

"That young?!" That was from definitely Axel, the cell just beside his, to the right.

"Ya' have ta' be kiddin', how young are dey' gonna go?" A voice hissed. It was probably Fusion. A younger one. Only around 13 years old.

No one actually knew how old they were, they go from how young or old you look. So he probably wasn't 4. But that didn't matter, because they would probably never know.

There was a click of the door unlocking, and everyone scrambled to get back into their beds.

"Inside kid." A rough voice grunted and the bang of someone getting hit. A young cry of pain followed it, making everyone glance at their roommates.

"I'm going! Jeez." The young voice huffed. Everyone's eyes widened as the guard and other child passed the cells.

It was the red child that the other person had told them about. He did look a bit younger than Sunstreaker. His paint on the metal was a dull red, scratches and dents littering all of it, making a few narrow their eyes and revs of engine or growls.

As the child came to a stop, it was in front of Sunstreakers and Blues cell. The child glanced up at them with a harsh glare of absolute hatred until his eyes locked on Sunstreaker.

It was like time had stopped. Everything disappeared into the background as they lost each other in the other's eyes.

The other child's eyes were brighter, now that the hatred was gone. It was full of simple curiosity and wonder, and it made Sunstreakers heart clench.

It was like something was pulling them toward each other, making them want to be close, to seek comfort from one another.

It was confusing, it was weird, but it felt right.

Then the trance was broken by the guard unlocking the cell and tossing the red child inside, making the red child skid across the floor.

Blue immediately got up and went to the child, kneeling down to check the child's injuries, talking softly to the younger.

The guard snorted and just walked away, dumb basterd.

He got up and ran to the red child, also kneeling down and staring into the dazed face with concern. He watched as those ocean blue eyes focused and locked on his.

The red child smiled, "Hi. I'm Sidesiwpe, what's your name?"

I actually have no idea where this idea came from. I wasn't even planning on creating a oneshot about the twins, my original idea was Prowl, but it ended up with the twins.

This could also develop into a story, but for now it's just a oneshot. If I did I story it would start out with when Sunstreaker first got to the vacility. So if any of you want this to become a story, I might one day if enough people want it.

Anyways, have a good day/night everyone :)
