AN: Ok so, this is also super fucking long, so sorry it took so long to get out! I also have been writing stuff for Kisame week, so those will drop soon too, I think. Anyways yeah, this is really long! It's also the second to last chapter! I'm not sure what else to put here, so without further ado, hopefully you enjoy it?

The latest mission taken by Team Seven seemed simple enough, bodyguard this actress in the land of Snow. If it weren't for said actress constantly trying to run away it would be that simple.

"I got her don't worry" Rōzu, who had also tagged along on the grounds of "I'm just taking a nice vacation conveniently to the same place" was helping on that front.

"Let go of me!" Yukie squirmed against their hold. "Why are you even on this boat!"

"Well my good buddy Sandayū heard I was coming here for vacation and got me a spot on the boat."

"Rōzu not that I don't appreciate the help" Kakashi released their hold on her. "But as a civilian you shouldn't be doing things like this."

"Yeah mom we got this!" Naruto had been moments away from catching Yukie when they nabbed her.

"Mom?" She gave them a look. "He looks a bit old to be your kid."

"You know that might be the nicest thing you've ever said to me."

"Not to interrupt your lovely chat, which is very chummy for two people who have never met," Kakashi narrowed his eye at them. "But she's needed on the set."

"Of course, goodbye famous lady."

Kakashi said more or less that exact line about ten more times during the boat ride. When a glacier blocked their path the next day he was actually incredibly happy about it.

"Sorry but there's no real reason for you to get off the boat."

"I think it'd just be fun to walk around on a glacier you know?" Rōzu was hitting the bottom of the barrel for reasons to be around Yukie.

"Hm, nope I don't, all non-required civilians gotta stay on the boat. You know in case the glacier breaks."

He could feel their glare as everyone else moved onto the glacier. It wasn't a personal thing, it was just very unprofessional for them to try and undercut his job. As the set was rocked by an explosion he leapt in front of Yukie.

"Welcome to the Land of Snow" Nadare smirked down at Kakashi as his two allies threw aside their own cover.

"Naruto Sakura Sasuke, protect Yukie" he moved in to meet Nadare.

"You've got the girl!" Naruto headed towards Mizore to cut him off.

"Dammit" Sasuke headed to cut her off.

"Don't worry, you've got me to keep you safe" Sakura was the only one to stay back with Yukie.

Mizore's speed caught Naruto off guard, he was zipping around much faster than he could move in the snow. Hearing Yukie collapse distracted him long enough for Mizore to dash in and land a solid hit with his metal arm. Before he could follow up someone else grabbed hold of his arm.

"Touch my son again" Rōzu had moved in after hearing the explosion. "And I'll rip that other arm off."

"Fuck" Mizore had a brief flashback to when they tore his left arm off. "You're supposed to be dead!"

Their reply was to headbutt him, throwing him back. Once he recovered Naruto came back to the fight.

"Mom I can beat this guy alone, you're supposed to be on the boat!"

"Sorry kid, but I've got dibs on killing him from like ten years ago."

"That's big talk" Mizore flared his chakra. "But without any armor you're way weaker than me."

"Funny thing about that" Rōzu rolled their shoulders. "Konoha might not have chakra armor, but they do have Gai."

The two leapt towards each other, metal fist clashing with reinforced bone. Even with the armor he was being forced back to avoid any major blows. Finally they overextended, and he slammed a power hit into them flinging them back.

"You might have been strong back in the day, but now you're just a hasbeen traitor!"

"I'm a hasbeen?" They were quick to get back up, the bone that sprouted out of their shoulder unsettling him. "Say that again after I rip your head off!"

Rōzu finished pulling their spine out, giving it a quick crack to extend it. Mizore hopped back on his board, hoping to overwhelm them with speed. Before they could clash, a giant whale made of ice shook the glacier, throwing them both off balance.

"Naruto get everyone to the boat!" Kakashi's shout prefaced the appearance of two more ice whales.

Adjusting for the impacts Rōzu threw themself back towards Mizore, the head of the whip sailing towards his armor core. Before it could connect Kakashi grabbed them and rushed for the boat.

"Let me go!" For the first time in years they let the Kaguya bloodlust consume them. "I'm gonna kill all three of those fucks!"

"Get yourself together! You want to fight, fine, but not on the sinking iceberg!"

Seeing that reasoning wasn't going to work, Kakashi quickly used a genjutsu to knock them out. Once the boat was safely out in the water he let Naruto wake them back up.

"Fuck you!" They had some choice words ready for him. "Those three are weak as shit I could easily kill them!"

"Rōzu I want you to look at Naruto and calm down" Kakahsi had hoped getting knocked out would curb their bloodlust.

"I am perfectly calm."

"Mom your um, kinda breaking the railing" Naruto pointed to the crushed metal in their hand.

"Which is a sign of how calm and collected I am."

"You get two options. Go back to Konoha, or get your head on right. It's bad enough you're fighting with us, but if you're trying to stay on the sinking iceberg to fight that's a much bigger issue."

Their grip tightened on the railing again, but this time they didn't break any of it. With a deep breath he felt their killing intent drop.

"I am calm now, so I'm going to go make sure Koyuki is alright. I'm sorry for acting that way."

Rōzu walked off, leaving him with Naruto.

"What just happened to my mom?"

"Well, from what I'd heard the Kaguya had a very bad violent streak. I had assumed that was just a myth after knowing Rōzu for this long, but I guess I was wrong."

"But mom's not violent! Not like that, not even when all that stuff I'm not allowed to talk about happened!"

"I think I might know why" Sandayū came over to them.

"Sorry I'm not really sure who you are?"

"I was a samurai in service of the old Daimyo, when Rōzu was tasked with guardian Koyuki we became acquainted. From what I recall they used to work with those three very often before working in the palace."

"I see" Kakashi had dealt with his own share of betrayals.

"I don't! If they all used to be friends, why does mom wanna kill them?"

"Naruto most people don't stay friends after getting betrayed."

"I feel like that's a lie, like if Sasuke tried to leave the village and went rogue he'd still be my best friend!"

"He's not planning on doing that is he?" Kakashi didn't like how specific that example was.

"I don't think so?"

"Ok, good."

With that all sorted out, and after making a quick switcheroo, Kakashi met with the director and Sandayū. His hope going into the meeting was to get them to turn back around.

"Are you kidding? This is a once in a lifetime movie! An actual princess who's returning home to take back the throne!"

"And the people of this land have waited for her return for years!" Sandayū was surprisingly on the side of staying.

"I feel like you're both ignoring the very obvious danger of us continuing with filming."

"Any self respecting crew wouldn't shy away in the face of danger!" The director was very intense. "Besides, Sandayū was the one who suggested we film here in the first place, I'm sure he planned for the risks."

"And did you?"

"Well, there are still many people in the Land of Snow loyal to the princess, and once they hear she's returned we can easily rally an army. Ever since I sent back the news of her survival the people have been preparing for this chance!"

"You did what!" Before Kakashi could point out how flimsy that idea was, Rōzu burst into the room, holding the two guard Narutos in chokeholds. "I left her with you so she'd be safe! Not so you could do something stupid like this!"

"But the people needed to know!"

"Rōzu out now" Kakashi could tell they were about to become a very large problem. "You still don't have any say over the mission, and I don't want you attacking the client."

They glared at him. A few tense moments passed before they backed out of the room, taking the tension with them. The space was soon filled by Koyuki.

"For the record, I agree with Rōzu" it looked like saying that caused her physical pain. "I only survived that night by random chance, I should have died then."

"You can't talk like that! You're the beacon of hope for the people of the Land of Snow!" He ran over to kneel before her. "Please you must confront Dotō and take back your place as the leader of the land!"

"No, I'm definitely not doing either of those things."

"But what about your people!"

"They aren't my people, I'm not the ruler! Just drop this stupid idea and let's turn the boat around."

"Don't tell people to give up just cause you're a big baby!" Naruto decided to butt in on this argument. "He just said you're everyone's hope, so act like it and help them!"

"As long as there is hope one can dream" the director spoke up as well. "And with those dreams the future comes. I like it, it's perfect for the film!"

"But sir, how can we keep on filming with people attacking us?" His assistant seemed an appropriate amount of worried about that.

"The movie is evolving, it'll be an instant hit with an actual princess as the lead."

"Hey you're right!" He was easily swayed.

"And with them already knowing we're here we can't exactly run away, they could easily track you down again now" Kakashi didn't like it, but their options had been limited from the start. "We'll have to fight no matter what now."

"Hell yeah!" Naruto liked the sound of this, since it meant he could try and make his mom make up with their friends.

"You're all idiots!" Koyuki couldn't get anything else in with the rest of them trying to make plans to continue filming. Frustrated, she left. Even more frustrating, the place she stormed off to was occupied.

"Hey I stormed off here first" Rōzu had gone to the front of the ship to sulk.

"And I'm the princess so fuck off."

"Hey language!"

"I'm not a kid anymore I can say fuck!"

"Oh I'm gonna kick the shit of Sandayū, first there his stupid plan, and he lets you swear!"

"Because I'm sure you wouldn't have tried the same thing" most of Koyuki's memories with them had a lot of "You're the princess of the Land of Snow."

"Shockingly enough, I also don't want to be here!"

"Oh really! You sure fooled me with how you wormed your way onto the ship!"

"I couldn't just let you come back here! And of course my son's team is the one your boss hired and I'm a good parent so that's even more reason for me to be here!"

"Really, you're a good parent?"

"Yeah I am thank you very much!"

"Your son is a child soldier."

"Man Iruka is right it feels bad when people say things like that" Rōzu had never been on this side of it.

"Iruka?"

"He teaches at the academy, meaning he turns kids into child soldiers. He's also my fiance"

"Sounds like your taste in men hasn't improved" Koyuki had only met one of their exes in the past, but they complained pretty frequently about the rest while they were on the run together.

"Ok listen, he's actually a very sweet man who just has a questionable job."

"I'm sure."

Not rising to her provocation, Rōzu just fumed silently. She could hear them unloading the equipment, meaning soon enough they'd actually be in the Land of Snow. As much as they annoyed her, having Rōzu around again gave her some piece of mind. Not enough to stop her from sneaking out of the trailer once they were on the move though.

"Naruto Sasuke, grab her and come back" Kakashi had instructed them to mark her on the boat.

"Got it!" The two held hands and left. Only to walk out of her trailer holding her jacket.

"Dammit."

Without the easy way of doing things they had to split up. Naruto managed to catch her scent on the wind and tracked her into a nearby forest.

"Are you dumb" he shook her awake, having found her knocked out in the snow. "You'll die like that."

"And it'll make things a lot easier so fuck off" Koyuki tossed some snow at him.

"No can do, so just get up and let's head back."

Considering how often she tried to run off, it was pretty easy to get her to come back. Of course Naruto had to carry her again, but that wasn't too bad. Except for all her complaining.

"Like I'm not even that good of an actor, I didn't even win any awards for that last movie" she was explaining why it was a waste for him to hunt her down. "Apparently I "overacted" during the scene where Princess Gale's childhood friend died."

"That's bullshit!" Naruto had cried hundreds of times watching that scene. "You did great in that movie, but especially there! You really brought Princess Gale's pain to life!"

"You know I did not expect you to have seen that."

"Are you kidding? I love your movies! Ever since mom got that one way back when I bought them all!"

"Even the Christmas one?"

"Yeah, I'll admit that one was kind of bad."

"It was a shameless cash grab, we all knew it going in. Has your mom talked about me a lot?"

"Only when I got really annoying about asking, and promised not to tell anyone else."

"Oh, mostly bad things I assume?" Koyuki and Rōzu had ended their time together on a pretty bad note.

"Mostly that you were really annoying, and that's really saying something cause I'm definitely annoying."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I'm sure they're just acting like this now to keep up appearances, but mom really missed you."

"Oh well, um, I didn't miss them" Koyuki didn't know how to process this genuine emotion, so instead she decided to be rude.

"Sure."

She kept quiet as they entered the cave back, mostly to avoid being confronted with any other emotions. It would have been a nice trip back if the tracks didn't suddenly melt out from the ice.

"So uh, what's that sound?" Naruto turned back towards the cave entrance.

"That's a train" Koyuki did not like how loud it was. "And it's coming right at us."

"Shit."

Seeing it round the corner Naruto took off. The train easily caught up to them and was right on his heels in no time. Even with all of his chakra being pushed to his feet he was barely out pacing it.

"We're gonna die!" Koyuki was slightly closer to the front of it and was very afraid. "It's all over already."

"Could you" it was hard for him to talk while focusing on running. "Quit the quitter talk for me!"

Once they got home he'd have to thank Jiraya for the training. Pulling on a small bit of the foxes chakra he got a burst of speed and began gaining ground. The end of the tunnel was in sight, he could feel her grip on his shoulders tighten.

"And we're clear!" The second they were out of the cave Naruto rocketed to the side of the tracks, throwing them both into the snow. From this spot they watched the train fully emerge before coming to a stop.

"Can you hear that?" Koyuki could faintly hear something coming from the train.

"It sounds like someone talking?" Naruto couldn't make out the words from here.

"I think that's Dotō" she couldn't really tell though.

"Hey we can't hear you come closer!" Naruto yelled this as loud as he could.

"What did he say?" Dotō couldn't make out his words either.

"I'm not sure, perhaps we should back the train up?" Nadare motioned for the crew inside.

The train backed up about a hundred feet, letting them all see each other a little better.

"That's Dotō alright" now she could tell for sure.

"Welcome back my favorite niece, it's been so long!"

"It really sucks to be back."

"Come now this is yo-" Dotō was cut off as a bunch of logs crashed into the train.

Everyone turned to the top of the hill to see where they came from, seeing some people up there. Once again, whoever it was could not be heard thanks to the distance.

"Sir, should we shoot them?" Nadare was pretty sure they were rebels.

"I guess so?"

The group of men led by Sandayū rushed down towards the train, unable to see the compartments open up to reveal the kunai launchers. Before the wave of death could tear through them, pillars of ice shot up, stopping the men and kunai.

"Hey asshole!" Rōzu's yell managed to make it down the rest of the mountain.

"Should I know who that is?"

"It's the princess's bodyguard sir."

"So no?"

"No sir."

"Can you guys hear me?" Rōzu couldn't tell if they were talking to each other down there or if they were too far away to hear anything. "God the acoustics on this mountain are awful."

"No we can hear you," Dotō replied with the loudspeaker. "Can you hear us?"

"Yeah I can!"

"Great, can you drop that ice so my men can kill those guys?"

"No, well, I could, I'm just not going to."

"We really appreciate that!" One of the random men called up from behind the ice.

"Nadare go kill whoever that is so we can kill those other guys."

"Yes sir" Nadara hopped off the train.

"Oh by the way!" Rōzu finished a set of hand seals. "Awful place to park your train, I hear this mountain gets tons of avalanches!"

On cue the snow in front of the ice wall exploded forward, shifting into a horde of wolves. Nadare hopped back onto the train as it started to move, only for the bridge in front of it to blow.

"That was a good one" Kakashi landed on the ice wall next to them. "And I'm glad you actually stayed with the crew."

"I'm glad you blew the bridge, I didn't even think about doing that."

With the train gone they all regrouped down by the cave entrance. The presence of the samurai only made Koyuki more annoyed with everything going on.

"Princess now that we've gathered we can make our assault on the castle and retake the country!" Sandayū spoke for the group, they all seemed as willing as him to fight it out to the end.

"How?" Koyuki decided to just poke holes in their plan to try and make them lose hope.

"We attack the castle and take out Dotō!"

"And how do we do that?"

"Well, we hadn't really planned that yet."

"So you just expected me being here to magically make this non-existent plan work?"

"No, but now that you're here we ca-"

"We can leave."

"But this is the time to strike!"

"Oh wow they lost one train, I'm sure we've really got them on the ropes now" she gestured to the assembled men. "I'm sure they'll run in fear when they see our mighty army."

"You don't need to put him down like that!" Naruto felt bad seeing how she was ripping into Sandayū. "He just wants to help you take back this country."

"No, he wants me to work some kind of miracle here! Newsflash, we've only got five people here who can actually fight Dotō's men, and it's none of these guys!"

"I mean she's right, but she didn't have to say it" one of the men put away his sword dejected.

"So now that we've gotten our reality check, let's go home!"

"Last I heard this is your home!" Naruto was really starting to lose it with her. "So why the hell are you trying to ditch it!"

"Language!"

"Sorry, why the heck are you trying to ditch it!"

"This hasn't been my home in ten years!" Koyuki turned on him. "It's a cold desolate hellscape!"

"Language!"

"Fine, it's a cold desolate heckscape!"

"Thank you."

"So why aren't you helping these people fix that!" Sakura decided to get in on this too. "Sure right now it's just these guys, but clearly people are willing to rally behind you! That guy seemed like a huge dickhead!"

"Oh so she can say dickhead but I can't say hell?"

"I'm not her mom, it's out of my hands."

"Focus dammit!" Sakura yelled at them both. "As the rightful ruler of this land you have a duty to work towards the betterment of the land for its people!"

"How about this" Koyuki put her hands together and pointed them at Sakura. "You can all give up on me taking over, and fuc-"

She was cut off as a metal hand yanked her back, Mizore had snuck onto the cliff as a blimp rose up behind it. Before anyone could move after her, Fubuki flew by and rained ice bombs on them. As the chaos cleared there were a good deal of casualties from the ice bombs, including Sandayū.

"Sound off!" Kakashi had pulled the director and some other crew members to safety.

"Alive!" Sasuke managed to leap away from the ice spikes in time.

"Same!" Sakura was standing on one of the fully grown ones.

"Well shit we're down two people" Kakashi looked around for the Uzumakis.

"Found them!" Sakura pointed at the blimp, it was slowly being covered in Naruto clones.

"Of course the two idiots went for the blimp" Kakashi didn't have the means to go after them now. "We let them go for now and regroup once we've got everyone here secured."

There were a great deal of things Rōzu had hoped to never do, and unfortunately they had to do most of them over the past few days. By far the worst from that list was their current situation.

"So you're gone for years and you can't even send a letter?"

This was of course having to see their own mother.

"I mean seriously, I hear Jin get's letters from his kids all the time."

"I was a little busy being on the run!" They knew this perfectly reasonable explanation wasn't going to get them anywhere with her.

"So what! I'm not a snitch."

"YOU'RE LITERALLY INTERROGATING ME RIGHT NOW, AFTER HELPING CAPTURE ME!"

"Do not take that tone with me!"

With a huff they rolled their eyes. Apparently Nadare had expected them to cause more problems after the glacier fight and had brought her in. Letting their emotions get the best of them, Rōzu ran right into an ambush on the blimp.

"If your father, bless his soul, could see you now he'd be so disappointed."

"Oh my god not this again."

"It was bad enough you skipped town to watch over the princess, but then you came back and got caught?"

"I'm a secretary now ok! I file paperwork and sometimes fight people!"

"That is no excuse to slack off!"

"Can I get a new interrogator! She's not even trying to get information out of me!"

"Well that's just rude, after ten years all you want to do is get rid of your mom huh?"

"Mom, I'm a little more worried about everything else going on right now."

"And what could be so important you can't catch up with me and also reveal any secrets as needed by the state?"

Rōzu knew exactly what to say to get her on their side, but the price of saying it was possibly too great. Of course they also couldn't imagine what was happening to Naruto and Koyuki, and that meant they had to get out of here now.

"Listen mom, my son needs me!"

"YOUR WHAT!"

"My son! Who is also in prison here right now probably being tortured!"

"YOU HAVE A SON AND YOU NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO TELL ME?"

"AND THAT COULD BECOME I HAD A SON IF YOU DON'T HELP ME SAVE HIM!"

"DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE WITH ME I AM YOUR MOTHER!" Their plan was backfiring.

"Listen mom, I know I should have told you I have a kid, but things were very hectic and I couldn't. So please just help me save your grandson."

The look in her eyes let them know the word "grandson" had won her over.

"I'm coming out, this is going nowhere" she stood up and headed for the door.

A few moments after she left a handful of other guards were thrown through the mirror. Wanting some of the action, Rōzu kicked the nearest guard from where their cuffs let them reach. Their mom climbed back through the broken window and removed the restraints.

"See I'm a cool mom, I totally could have been told about his son you've got."

"Well we can make up for lost time after we find him alright?"

"Deal."

Taking down the few guards they saw on the way to the other cells, they found Koyuki and Naruto already out. Before Rōzu could run over and check on him a blur sped ahead of them.

"Oh my god he's so big!" Their mom was holding him up in the air. "He must be what, seven, eight? I told your father you Kaguya's grow so much faster than other kids!"

"Actually I'm" Naruto paused after seeing Rōzu's gesture for him to not say it. "Seven and a half?'

"Oh I'm so sorry" she put him down ruffling his hair. "And already a ninja! I see the families got a little genius in it!"

"Hey I was a ninja early too!"

"This isn't about you sweetie."

Having unleashed the monster that was their mother, Rōzu could only watch as she ran Naruto through the overbearing grandmother wringer. Koyuki had snuck behind them at some point just to get further away from it.

"Not to interrupt this!" Rōzu decided ten minutes of not fleeing the prison was enough. "But you can keep questioning him when we're out of here!"

"Oh fine you spoilsport, comeon little Naruto gram-gram's getting you out of here!"

"Yay" he looked unsure while saying this, and cast a longing gaze back to the cell he'd escaped.

Gathered together the four headed to the exit, or at least where they were pretty sure the exit was. It didn't take long for them to run into another guard.

"Wait wait!" Kakashi leapt back, throwing his disguise off, narrowly avoiding being hit by the three of them.

"Kakashi!"

"I see you've gotten out, and made a new friend?"

"This is my mom. Mom, this is Kakashi, he's uh…" Rōzu wasn't sure how to explain who Kakashi was.

"He's my teacher!" Naruto slid a little closer to Kakashi.

"And also a very famous ninja, did you really think I didn't know who he was?" Gram-gram looked at Rōzu.

"Well I mean, no?"

"More importantly" Koyuki interrupted them. "I want my family heirloom back!"

"Oh right, sorry" he fished it out and brought it over to her. "I figured it might be what they wanted."

"Yeah well next time maybe don't steal the last memento I have of my long dead father."

"Uh, right."

Just in time to save Kakashi from this awkward moment, Sakura and Sasuke came onto the bridge, leaving trails of beaten guards in their wake.

"So is it just me or are these guys weak?" Sakura had expected it to be a lot harder to fight through this castle.

"No they're super weak, I made some guys fight each other and they took forever to knock eachother out" Sasuke had figured out how to do that with his Sharingan recently and it was his favorite thing to do now.

"Hey over here!" a shout from the hallway they came out of prefaced more footsteps.

"This way!" Koyuki ran towards the other exit, leading everyone else through the castle.

"Hey why is this place blowing up?" Rōzu could feel the castle shaking.

"Oh cause we set bombs everywhere!" Sakura loved this idea.

"WHILE WE'RE IN IT?"

"I'm not made of bomb fuses ok!"

"Less arguing, more running!" Kakashi shoved them both.

Entering a large room the Koyuki stopped, causing them all to skid to a stop by her.

"Ah perfect" Dotō revealed himself via a giant spotlight. "Well done, princess."

"Wait" Kakashi tried to grab her but was cut off as the three snow ninja dropped in.

"I guess you all forgot, I'm an actress" she handed the crystal over to Dotō.

"You are in so much trouble when we get out of here!" Rōzu pointed up at her with a scowl on their face.

"I think you mean if you get out of here!" Dotō said this before breaking into an evil laugh.

"Heh, yeah" Koyuki pulled a dagger out of her belt, and then sunk it right into his chest. "But I guess you forgot I'm a damn good actor too uncle."

"Why you!" He grimaced and grabbed her throat.

"Fuck this!" Rōzu leapt towards the stairs, only to be grabbed out of the air by Mizore's mechanical arm.

As they were thrown across the room the fighting broke out all around Naruto. All he could do was watch in horror as Koyuki struggled against Dotō.

"I'm sorry Naruto" she pushed again, shoving them closer to the edge. "But I'm not strong enough for this."

"Don't say that!" He grabbed the chakra lock, trying to break it off. "You can do anything, just don't give up!"

Over the sounds of all the fighting Naruto heard the sound of their fall clearly, his breath stopping. When he saw Koyuki shift, his body rushed over to them.

"Pathetic" Dotō was on his feet, unharmed, and easily threw Naruto back. "Did you really think something like that would kill me?"

From across the room Rōzu saw Naruto sail through the air, their eyes darting back to what had launched him. Seeing Dotō with Koyuki on the ground was the last straw. With their attention elsewhere Mizore hit them clean in the head, having no effect. Before he could move back, bone spikes shot out of their chest, tearing right through his metal arm.

"Oh shit" from up close he could feel it, their killing intent was suffocating.

Throwing him to the side they headed straight for Dotō, more bones sprouting from all over them. Hearing their approach he looked right at them, uncaring as they soared straight for him. With a Black Dragon Blizzard they were thrown back.

"We have business elsewhere" scooping Koyuki up the two ascended on a wire. "Beyond the rainbow."

"No you don't!" Naruto threw a kunai on a rope to Koyuki, and with surprising dexterity she caught it, pulling him up as well.

The other snow ninja who were still standing followed suit, leaving via wire. The rest of them had to escape the old fashioned way as the castle broke apart around them. Mizore was one the few who couldn't escape, but he barely managed to avoid dying as the castle collapsed.

"Well Mizore, I think your luck is finally turning around" he let out a sigh of relief as he climbed out of the rubble. "And I can always get another arm!"

Hearing more rubble shift behind him he turned, cursing himself for jinxing it. As a bone covered Rōzu stood up from the rubble he fell back.

"Where did he go" their hand was on his chest, his ribs were straining against the pressure.

"Uh he, uh" his life was flashing before his eyes as his hand shakily tried to point after Dotō. "That way!"

With a growl they took off, leaving him hyperventilating on the ground. Even after years of being away, they moved across the land of Snow effortlessly.

"Sasuke go find Naruto and help him protect Koyuki" Kakashi had made it out with the two of them and Gram-Gram. "You two are with me, once we take out Nadare and his team we go after them as well."

"Got it!" Sasuke headed off, having seen Naruto fall with his Sharingan.

"I probably should have expected you to swap sides" Nadare had someone not thought about that possibility when bringing Rōzu's mom on the mission.

"Yeah you know how it is, gotta side with your kids sometimes."

"Just not during the civil war?"

"Well I never really liked the old Damiyo if I'm honest."

"Let's wrap this chat up" Kakashi didn't want her to be swayed back onto the enemies side. "And get to the fight?"

With that both sides shifted into battle mode, Kakashi took on Nadare and left Fubuki and the rest of the ninja to Sakura and Gram-Gram.

"Flying is really just the best way to get places" Dotō landed them on the glacier. "But more importantly, it's time to get the treasure!"

"Oh great" Koyuki wasn't entirely sure why she'd been brought along, but hated being there.

With a wicked grin on his face, Dotō placed the hex crystal into the lock. Hearing the mechanism he stepped away and looked around, trying to spot an opening for the vault. After a few moments without seeing anything he realized something.

"The great treasure my brother hid away, is a giant heater."

"Huh, sure makes all the work you put into getting this look wasted huh?"

"You know I'd been considering letting you go, but now I'm in a pretty bad mood."

"Well at least I can die how I lived" Koyuki backed away from him. "Being an asshole."

Before Dotō could blast her out of existence with a Black Dragon Blizzard, she was yanked away. Rōzu had shed bones on the way over for speed, letting them beat out the Dragons speed.

"Ah great it's you" he still wasn't sure who they were.

"You alright?" They ignored him in favor of checking over Koyuki.

"Not really, but um, thanks for the save."

"Just try and keep away from the fight" they could feel the bloodlust coming back as their gaze returned to Dotō.

Rushing towards him they dashed to the side to avoid one of his blizzards. Rushing in they slammed a fist into his chest, breaking off more of their bones on impact. Not to be done in that easy, Dotō slammed an uppercut into their chin; the sudden bone sprouts caught in the armor and kept them from flying off. Locked in close combat the two swung away, denting and scraping Dotō's charka armor and shattering Rōzu's bone plating. Once all the plating was gone Rōzu broke off their anchor bones and leapt back to regrow the armor.

"You Kaguya are much more dangerous than I expected" even with the latest armor Dotō was losing ground against them in this kind of fight. "Shame you're not willing to join my side."

"Weirdly enough you aren't the first guy to ask that" Rōzu was trying to hide their own exhaustion, making all this bone armor was catching up to them. "But I'm no turncoat, especially when it comes to my kids."

"Shame."

They saw him prepare another Black Dragon Blizzard and leapt away, realizing too late where it was actually aimed. As their feet touched back down they rocketed towards Koyuki. There wasn't enough time to grab her again.

"Well you were certainly dedicated" Dotō smirked as the smoke cleared, seeing them firmly blasted into one of the glacial walls.

Before he could take a moment to just have a nice gloat, a terrible presence filled the air. It was easy enough to find the source, an enraged Naruto was leaking orange chakra while the crew and Sasuke stared in horror.

"That's impossible, the blocker" Dotō watched the device crumble to dust. "Shit."

"Naruto, you're out of control right now!" Sasuke had never seen him use this much of the foxes chakra before, it hurt just to stand near him.

"I don't care."

Before Sasuke could try and reason with him, Naruto was on Dotō. With a single hit he launched Dotō back, scorching the part he hit.

"Do not stop filming!" The Director could tell this was going to be the perfect climax for the film.

Recovering in time to see Naruto coming at him again, Dotō acted fast. Leaping up fired a twin Black Dragon Blizzard straight down onto him. The attack blasted Naruto through the ice, sinking him into the frozen water.

"Rasengan!" Sasuke used this chance to move in, without Naruto to help his Rasengan was losing stability fast.

The impact of the attack blasted them both away, landing Sasuke by Koyuki and the excavated Rōzu. His left hand was in too much pain for another Rasengan, but it left Dotō's armor damaged.

"Listen" he knew Naruto would be fine, but without his left hand he couldn't help him. "I need you to get to Naruto and help him with the next attack."

"Rōzu can't fight now, are you nuts!" Koyuki could barely see them breathing.

"No, I need you to do it! I'll buy you both time so just do what he says ok!"

"I can't I'm not" before she could finish that sentence he leapt away to distract Dotō.

Koyuki watched him move in to fight Dotō, and then looked back to Rōzu. Her hands balled into fists, Dotō had taken enough from her. Running to the waters edge she prepared to finally fight back.

"Naruto you're right!" She couldn't see him below the water but knew he was there. "Giving up is useless, so please, help me fight!"

For a moment it looked like he hadn't made it, but then she saw the wave of orange. Hundreds of Naruto's broke the surface, heading right for Dotō.

"Took you long enough to figure that out" with a grin he held a hand out to her. "Now what are doing?"

"Oh thank god he's actually alive" Sasuke hadn't been sure of that before now, but with the clones to help out he fell back, collapsing into some snow. "We really gotta stop just assuming the other's alive."

"Well the water really took the fight out of you kid!" Dotō was having no trouble destroying the clones.

"That's cause it's not his fight!" Koyuki shouted back to him, doing her best to follow Naruto's instructions. "But he's doing me the honor of helping finish it!"

"Yeah tell him sis!" Naruto started forming the Rasengan, hoping she had enough chakra to actually provide the rotation.

"What the hell" Dotō watched as rainbow energy poured from the glacier into the attack. "Good luck hitting me with that!"

Before he could leap into the air, more clones erupted from below him, trapping him.

"This is the day you pay for every life you've taken!" With that last line from Koyuki the two ran towards him, the rainbow energy swirling inside the Rasengan.

"All of this for a fucking heater" Dotō's life flashed before his eyes, and he had some regrets.

Even with the clones weighing him down the attack blasted him back, sending him deep into a glacial wall. Moments later as the chakra dispersed the snow melted, revealing a field of flowers.

"Did yo-"

"Sir we got it all" the assistant flashed him a thumbs up.

After all was said and done, Naruto, Sasuke and Rōzu needed to be fixed up. This meant they got to stay and see Koyuki's coronation.

"I'll be honest, I never thought I'd see today" Rōzu had shadowed her during the ceremony. "And I guess technically Sandayū was right about all this."

"Technically yeah, but if it wasn't for Naruto things wouldn't have turned out this way" Koyuki gave them a small smile. "Even if he is a child soldier, you did a good job raising him."

"Turns out it's easier when you're not moving all over the place, or wanted by a state."

"Oh, has your cooking gotten better then?"

"It's not about that, it's about the supportive environment."

"So no."

"You're uninvited to the wedding now."

"I'm sure I can use my political power to get reinvited, or I can tell your mom about it."

"Please don't, you're reinvited."

"Good."

The two exchanged smiles as they reached the doors to the courtyard where Team Seven was waiting.

"You know, we could use an experienced and relatively strong ninja here" Koyuki had been putting off this topic.

"Sorry but, at least for right now my place is back in Konoha."

"What, oh no I meant Naruto, I watched you lose to Dotō back there."

"Oh you little."

As the doors opened up Team Seven, as well as many citizens of the land of Snow watched their new ruler get noogied by Rōzu. Luckily for Koyuki, the rest of the goodbyes were relatively painless.
