Here we go, my fellow readers! Time for my own adaptation of Kid Icarus Uprising! This is yet another game that I haven't played, but I really liked its story, characters and much more of it, and this led me to do an adaptation of it one day! This also marks the first time I'm writing a Kid Icarus story, so hopefully you fans of Kid Icarus will like this story where I put all of my creative effort into it!

Enjoy! ;)

Chapter 1: The Return of Palutena

[BGM: Main Theme – Kid Icarus Uprising]

Angel Land. A world where the Gods and Men lived together in harmony. Very high up in the skies, right above the clouds, there exists a place called Skyworld: a beautiful kingdom that is the home of angels and centurions. At the heart of the kingdom lies a glorious temple where the Goddess of Light, Palutena, lives. Palutena is the ruler of Skyworld with the duty of protecting the humans living at the Overworld, also known as the earth.

After 25 years, ever since Medusa's defeat, Angel Land remained at peace. But Palutena has been wandering around her Temple quite bothered lately, as she had strange visions about the Underworld… that a horde of Underworld Troops has been swarming out of their native world and heading up to the Overworld, and sooner or later, Skyworld. These visions sickened her, but they also brought her a more horrifying thought: it could mean that Medusa has returned somehow, and is definitely out for revenge. Because of this, Palutena wasted no time in calling out her most faithful and loyal servant who's the captain of her centurion army, Pit.

She was right now waiting for him, and while he wasn't showing up, Palutena went into a deep thought. The visions that she saw of the Underworld Troops clearly showed that their numbers have increased compared to the past 25 years. By this sudden boom of monsters, Palutena highly doubted that Pit would make it through on his own, but she couldn't just send the rest of her troops either, as she only does it in emergency situations. Where would she find people worthy enough to fight against the Underworld Army alongside Pit…?

[BGM End]

"Sorry to keep you waiting!" her thoughts were quickly interrupted by the sound of doors swinging open from behind her, as she turned around to see Pit standing there. "It's been too long, Lady Palutena!" he smiled.

"Ah, you made it, Pit!" Palutena replied with a smile, before changing to a serious expression. "But we can chat later, because I've got terrible news." Pit's smile immediately vanished upon hearing this. "I'm afraid that the Underworld Army is back and it's starting to invade the earth."

"What…?!" Pit's eyes shot wide. "So if the Underworld troops are back, are you saying Medusa's been…"

"Resurrected. Yes." Palutena finished his sentence. "Though the goddess of darkness was defeated long ago, she's back now. And as the goddess of light, it's my duty to protect humanity from her."

"Eh, you worry too much! I can just head out and defeat her again!"

"There's just one problem… The number of Underworld troops has multiplied drastically, and I've been thinking that you might need some help in taking them down."

"Oh, really? What kind of help?"

"…I'll be looking for it right now. While I'm doing that, why don't you go round up my troops in case of a sudden attack in Skyworld?"

Pit saluted. "At your service, Lady Palutena!" he then left the room.

Palutena turned around and made her staff glow. "Alright, let's see…" she creates a swirling portal. "Hopefully Trifle won't mind if I bring him here for just a little while… well, until after Medusa is defeated, of course." she thought as the portal showed Trifle, who appeared to be sitting down and eating a sandwich. "Hmm?" Palutena wondered as she zoomed the image out, revealing that he just so happened to be having a picnic together with Jewel, Zelda, Shulk, Melia, and the Loyal Bodyguards. "Oh! It looks like he's having a picnic together with some new and familiar faces right now…" Palutena then took a good look at the other faces with him while rubbing her chin. "Hm… they all look like capable fighters..." after thinking for a little bit, she eventually settled, "Yes, they'll do perfectly."

With that, she aimed her staff at the portal and fired a beam of light at it before closing it. "Now just wait for their arrival."

With the group…

[BGM: Breezy Mushrise Park – Mario & Luigi: Dream Team]

Trifle, Jewel, Zelda, the Loyal Bodyguards, Shulk and Melia (these latter two in their Future Connected outfits) were at Mushrise Park at Pi'illo Island, enjoying a nice picnic together. Ever since the end of the last adventure, Jewel decided to invite all of her friends to her home kingdom to relax and let all of their weary thoughts away.

It was then that a bright light suddenly came as golden doors appeared, and Eight was the first one to notice them as he looked over.

"Uh, guys?" Eight caught everyone's attention as they followed his gaze to see what was up, and saw the doors that were standing a few feet in front of them. They all stood back up and cautiously approached the doors.

"Where did these doors come from?" Melia wondered.

"Who knows…" Jewel mused. "But hey, if you all can handle the Mushroom World, then we can handle a random door!" she winked.

"…I guess." Solo shrugged.

Jewel pushed the doors open. "Come on, everyone!" she exclaimed as they all ran into the doors, before they closed behind them once everyone was in and disappeared.

[BGM End]

However, when they emerged out in Palutena's Temple… they found themselves standing in midair due to the doors being too high up from the floor.

"Hey… Does the ground feel lighter to you all?" Trifle asked nervously.

"Yep…" Zelda nodded, causing everyone's eyes to widen before looking down… and then gravity finally kicked in as they all fell while screaming, and crashed onto the floor.

*THUD!*

"Ugh…" Arusu groaned, along with the others. "Who the hell had that door so high…?"

After they got back up on their feet, they breathed in awe upon looking around the surroundings. Sure thing, Palutena's Temple was very beautiful and grand on the inside.

"Where are we?" Eleven asked.

"How odd… I feel like I've seen this place before…" Shulk mused. "I can't quite put my finger on it just yet…"

[BGM: Solo Menu – Kid Icarus Uprising]

Just then, they heard the sounds of footsteps as they looked over at the source, and saw Palutena walking up to them with a smile.

"Huh? Palutena?" Trifle asked.

"Hello, Trifle." Palutena greeted. "And hello to the rest of you, too." she addressed the others. "I am Palutena, the Goddess of Light and ruler of Angel Land. Welcome to my Temple."

"No way… We're in Pit's World!" Jewel thought excited.

"Your temple?" Shulk asked, and then realization hit him, "Of course! Your temple made in as a stage in the Smash Bros tournament!"

"That's right!" Palutena exclaimed. "I knew you would be familiar with it, Shulk!"

"…I have to say, that stage doesn't do this place justice." Shulk said while looking around. "The real deal is something else!"

"Isn't it?" Palutena winked, and then glanced over at Jewel. "Jewel, it's an honor to meet you again after the fourth tournament."

"Likewise." Jewel bowed, and next Palutena looked at Zelda.

"And I guess that you're the new Zelda who's joining the fifth tournament?"

"Yes!" Zelda nodded. "The other Zelda told me about you. It's so nice to finally meet you in person, Palutena!"

"Nice to meet you too!" Palutena replied, and seeing Melia behind Zelda, she asked, "And who might you be?"

"Oh, I'm Melia Antiqua." Melia said with a bow. "I'm the Empress of the High Entia race, and I'm from the same world as Shulk."

"Ah, got it. Nice to meet you." Palutena smiled, as Melia mirrored her expression.

"So you're familiar with Smash Bros?" Solo asked Palutena, as she glanced over at him. "Then this means you're a Smasher too, is that right… Palutena, was it?"

"Indeed." Palutena nodded, before she glanced at the rest of the Loyal Bodyguards. "And I assume that the four of you are one of the newcomers to the fifth tournament?" she guessed.

"You're correct." Eleven nodded with a smile, as did the rest. "Nice to meet you, I'm Eleven." gesturing to his comrades, he continued, "And these are Arusu, Solo, and Eight." the trio did a small wave when their respective names were mentioned. "Together, we're known as the Loyal Bodyguards, Jewel's Special Team."

"I see! Pleasure to meet you all! Oh, and congratulations to you for making into the tournament!" Palutena applauded at the last sentence, when suddenly, Munchie's head popped out of Eight's pocket to wave at Palutena while letting out a cute happy squeal. "Aww! Pleasure to meet you too!" she cooed… right as Pit walked back in.

"Lady Palutena, all your troops are rea-" he stopped mid-sentence as soon as he spotted the large group inside. "Whoa! What's with all these people?"

Palutena turned to face him. "The ones who'll help you out with vanquishing the Underworld troops, of course." she said.

Pit could already see the familiar faces among them. "Hey, I can see Trifle, Jewel, and Shulk!"

"It's been a while, Pit." Shulk smiled, along with Trifle and Jewel.

"Now… What about the rest, Lady Palutena?" Pit asked.

"Ah, sure, I'll introduce them to you." Palutena first directed over to Zelda. "That is Zelda, or more specifically, the new one who'll join the fifth Smash Bros tournament."

"Nice to meet you!"

Next, Palutena directed to Melia. "That one is Melia Antiqua, an Empress from Shulk's world."

"Greetings."

And finally, to the Loyal Bodyguards. "And these guys are Jewel's Special Team, the Loyal Bodyguards, who are also newcomers to the tournament. They are Eleven-"

"Hello!"

"Arusu-"

"Sup?"

"Solo-"

"Hello."

"And Eight."

"Hi!"

"And there's also… Um, I don't think you told me your pet pig-rat's name." Palutena addressed Eight.

"Munchie." Eight replied.

"Oh, Munchie."

"Wow…" Pit awed, before smiling cheerfully, "Nice to meet you all! My name is Pit, servant of the goddess Palutena! She and I also happen to be part of Trifle's team!"

"Wait, really?!" Jewel's eyes widened before looking over at Trifle. "Trifle, is that true?"

"Yes indeed, my princess!" Trifle winked. Seeing the confused expressions of Pit and Palutena, Trifle quickly brought them up to speed.

"Seriously?! You two are dating?!" Pit asked shocked.

"Oh, how sweet! Congrats!" Palutena clasped her hands in delight, before she quickly changed the subject, "Ahem, anyways… Do you all know why I decided to bring you here?"

"Wait, you were the one who made that door?" Trifle asked.

"Yep."

"Then could you please set it a little lower next time…?" Arusu requested, sporting a deadpan expression and a sweatdrop, as he was still a bit sore from the fall earlier.

"Sorry about that…" Palutena chuckled. "But back to the subject, I brought you all here because an old enemy of ours is back and is sending out her troops to attack the earth and highly likely here. The number of troops are massive, so I figured that we might need all the help we need."

"And so you decided to choose us?" Zelda asked.

"Well, I was originally only going for Trifle, but when I saw you all with him, I decided to bring you along too. After all, the more the merrier!" Palutena exclaimed. "So, are you all up to the task?"

This was all happening so quickly! They were just pulled out from their peaceful picnic just a few minutes ago, and now they're suddenly finding themselves into a brand-new adventure already. Of course, the group couldn't just turn down a request, especially coming from a goddess. So they exchanged glances with each other, all having the same response, and then they looked back at Palutena and Pit as Jewel answered:

"Say no more! I love adventures, after all!"

"You said it, my princess!" Trifle threw in.

"Having a new adventure in a new world always sounds exciting for me!" Eight exclaimed.

"And I'll finally be able to show off my skills for once!" Zelda said.

"Oh, many thanks, everyone! I knew you would accept!" Palutena blessed. "Well then, shall we get going?"

"Hold on!" Pit interfered. "Aren't you forgetting something, Lady Palutena?"

"And what would that be?"

Pit then pointed over to the group's backs, before pointing to his. "Ahem. No wings."

"Oh, good call there!" Palutena grinned. "I have just the solution for this! But first… I want you all, Pit included, to stand in front of those gates over there." she directed to the gates. "You have your weapon with you, right Pit?" she asked him.

"Well, yeah." Pit pulled out his signature weapon, the Palutena Bow. "Where are you going with this?"

"Just do it, everyone." Palutena ushered, as the group and Pit exchanged confused glances before shrugging, and then they walked over to the gates.

[BGM End]

"Okay, so now what?" Melia asked.

"You all ready for this?" Palutena made the gates open up. "Get set…"

"…Wait, are you making us JUMP OFF?!" Trifle questioned.

"No, I think she's going to-…" Pit couldn't finish his sentence as Palutena exclaimed:

"Here we go!" her staff glowed, and suddenly, wings made out of blue light appeared on Trifle, Jewel, Shulk, Melia, the Loyal Bodyguards, and Zelda's backs, and before they could even comment on these… the wings immediately made an abrupt flap, sending the group rocketing off into the scenery beyond the gates.

[BGM: The Return of Palutena – Kid Icarus Uprising]

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Trifle screamed for his life, as everyone was flying through the blue skies.

"We're flying…?" Eleven breathed, before his eyes widened in realization, "We're actually flying!"

"This is awesome!" Jewel exclaimed. "Now I don't have to use my Flight Lapis Lazuli anymore!"

"Wh-Whoa!" Shulk nearly lost himself during the flight. "This is getting some used to!"

"No kidding!" Melia exclaimed.

"WOOHOOOOOOO!" Zelda suddenly zipped past all of them.

"Well, someone already got used to it!" Solo remarked.

"THIS IS SO FUUUUUUUUUN!" Zelda cheered wildly.

"GLAD YOU'RE HAVING FUN, COUSIN!" Trifle yelled in panic.

Then, Pit came up to them while he had the Power of Flight activated. "Wow, I never thought this was possible for Lady Palutena to do!" he said to himself. "I've got to hand it to her for this one!"

"Can you all hear me?" Palutena's telepathic call came, catching the group but Pit by surprise.

"…Did I just hear Palutena's voice in my head?" Eight asked.

"Oh good, I thought I was the only one!" Eleven exclaimed. "How is that possible?!"

"Lady Palutena and other gods can speak to us through a form of telepathy." Pit explained. "At least, that's what she told me."

"It basically works just like my Calling Moonstone." Jewel added.

"Oh, I see…" Solo mused. "In that case, we can all hear you loud and clear, Palutena." he said to the sky.

"Ah, perfect! I was wondering if you could all hear me." Palutena replied.

"It's nice that we can all hear you, but… Did you really have to launch us into action so suddenly?!" Arusu retorted.

"That's Lady Palutena for you…" Pit sweatdropped.

"Sorry for not warning… I just wanted to surprise you a little!" Palutena giggled. "But anyways, now it's time to fight! The Underworld Army's invading!" and right on cue, a swarm of Monoeyes came into the group's view.

"Whoa! You weren't kidding!" Pit flinched as he proceeded to shoot them down. The others helped as well, with Jewel firing energy blasts, Trifle and Shulk slashing through some, Melia Summoning Flare before discharging it into Flare Impulse to launch fireballs at them, the Loyal Bodyguards firing a barrage of Frizz spells, and Zelda roasting a group of them with Din's Fire.

It was then that the sky around them suddenly darkened and turned red. "Uh, did it get dark all of a sudden?" Eight wondered.

"Yep…" Solo trailed off, and then a giant hand emerged out of the clouds and sunk back in… before its owner finally rose up from the clouds; that being the goddess of darkness herself.

"Medusa!" Pit growled, while everyone else looked up at her in awe.

"Hello there, Pit and Palutena. Oh, and to you too, new people." Medusa said, first referring to Pit and Palutena and next to the newly-arrived group. "Here to crash my homecoming party?"

"Uh… This really doesn't look like much of a party…" Palutena pointed out.

"What better way to celebrate my return than with a festive little bloodbath? After all, I have been gone for 25 years." Medusa's projection faded, and the skies became blue again.

"Well, that was… something." Eleven remarked.

Just then, Zelda noticed something about the remaining Monoeyes as they were heading down through the clouds. "They're moving their attack to the ground!" she gasped.

"Then so are we!" Palutena declared, and then everyone's wings glowed as they felt a boost of speed. "Hang in there, everyone!" they instantly dived down below the clouds, and while the group struggled with the G-force, Pit was able to remain focused as he was shooting down more Monoeyes on the way.

Once they all stopped diving, the group was able to catch their breath as everyone was now flying over a lake among several hills. "I can't believe you actually gave us wings to fly with, Palutena!" Jewel exclaimed.

"These Magic Wings are my gift to you, just like with Pit's Power of Flight." Palutena said as the group proceeded to take down more Monoeyes, as well as some Wave Anglers and Kerons. "I'm controlling your route so you can all focus on battle. But I can only maintain both of these powers for five minutes at a time. After that, the Magic Wings will disappear and Pit's wings will burn up, and all of you will fall."

"You have no idea how embarrassing it is to be an angel who can't fly on his own." Pit remarked. "So thanks for your help. Without you, I'd be finished!"

"Wait, are you actually being serious?" Arusu raised an eyebrow. "You, an angel, can't fly on your own?!"

"Yup… It's a defect from my birth." Pit muttered.

"An angel who can't actually fly… That's a new one." Solo blinked, as everyone was now approaching the mountains where they found more Monoeyes and Kerons, and also an Octos who tried to attack the group by spewing out circular loops of smoky ink, but they just flew out of harm's way before they worked on defeating all those enemies.

After flying out of the mountains, the next enemies they encountered were Gyrazers. They first avoided these flying brutes' shots before attacking them back, and then another Octos came into view as Pit shot it down instantly before it could even spew out smoky ink at them.

"Your destination should be coming into view now." Palutena informed.

By hearing that, everyone looked on ahead and gasped when they could see a faraway town being under attack by Underworld troops. "Now they're attacking the town? This isn't right!" Pit exclaimed.

"Not at all!" Trifle agreed.

"The people need your help. I'd better get you all over there." Palutena said, and then gave everyone another boost of speed as they zoomed towards the town.

As they flew overhead upon arriving just outside of the town, sounds of loud cheering from the town's inhabitants greeted the group's ears. "Do you all hear that? Do you hear the people's cheers? They're celebrating the return of the goddess Palutena!" Pit smiled.

"Despite the Underworld invasion, the people haven't lost hope." Palutena chimed in. "It's our duty to protect them."

"And we will." Melia nodded, using another Flare Impulse on a few Kerons.

"Prepare for land battle, everyone." Palutena said, and then everyone flew down to a portion of the town.

[BGM: That First Town – Kid Icarus Uprising]

As soon as they landed, the glow on Pit's wings disappeared while the group's Magic Wings completely vanished from their backs. "You're all here to help the townsfolk, so wipe out as many monsters as you can." Palutena instructed as they turned left and ran along the main road.

"We're on it!" Trifle nodded, encountering a few Shemums as he proceeded to slash them, but was having difficulties due to how fast they moved. "Geez, hold still!" he exclaimed as he tried to slash them.

"Haaah!" eventually, Shulk managed to strike them with Stream Edge, lunging forwards and slashing in front of him in an arc formation. "Don't worry, I got them!" he exclaimed. "Still, it would be nice if we could get ourselves a ranged weapon or something."

"I am so with you there." Trifle agreed.

"I and my comrades could go for something similar, too." Eleven added, after striking a Nettler with a Zapple. "Most of our ranged attacks are spells, which consume our magic supply."

"You know, even me." Melia threw in, unleashing Vertical Bolt on a Gyrazer. "My Ether attacks don't actually have a lot of range."

Jewel, meanwhile, was shooting down the roaming Monoeyes in the air. "Well, I could go for a melee weapon instead." she said. "Because my gemstone attacks all require me to be at a distance, after all."

"I would actually like a weapon that's good for melee and ranged attacks at the same time." Zelda said, as she used Nayru's Love to reflect a Monoeye's shot back at it. "My close-up magic bursts don't deal that much damage, but neither do my three Goddess spells."

Palutena just so happened to hear those complaints from the group, and so she thought to herself, "I better remind myself to make some weapons for them…"

"Take this!" Pit had found a Grenade and tossed it at a group of Monoeyes, immediately destroying them. "Booyah!" he fist-pumped before splitting his Palutena Bow into two small blades to slash a nearby jar repeatedly to prevent any more Shemums from popping out.

Seeing this and spotting another jar up ahead, Arusu ran over to it while Eleven and Solo were dealing with the spawned Shemums, and destroyed it with a Kaboom. After that, Arusu looked behind him to see Eight tossing his boomerang at some more Monoeyes to defeat them. "Well, at least Eight already has a ranged weapon of his own…" he sweatdropped.

Eight had heard him, and turned around to address, "I know, but the boomerang is actually my weakest weapon out of the three I own. I might need something stronger if we're going to take down a huge army of monsters like these ones."

"Yeah, good point."

After wiping out a good chunk of Underworld troops in the town, the heroes proceeded to make their way to the large coliseum up ahead, but then the sky became red again just like back with their encounter with Medusa… and then Shulk suddenly got a Vision about a fireball charging at everyone from behind and hitting them.

"Everyone, move out of the way!" Shulk warned, wanting to prevent this future from happening at all costs. Thankfully, they all complied and quickly jumped out of the way… right as the fireball shot past them.

"Uh…!" Pit yelped, he and the rest watching the fireball bounce its way up to the coliseum before exploding inside of it. "Wh-what was that?" he asked.

"Medusa has unleashed an evil beast in the coliseum! You need to hurry there!" Palutena ushered.

"At once!" Trifle exclaimed as they rushed up the stairs, getting rid of more enemies in front of them. Once they reached the coliseum's entrance, the group caught sight of some sort of pink beverages on the side that piqued their interest.

"What are these?" Solo asked.

"It's a Drink of the Gods." Palutena answered. "It will instantly heal all of your wounds upon consumption. You might be needing these before battling the beast inside."

Everyone nodded and picked up a bottle each and drank it, as their wounds immediately began to heal. With that done, the group shared determined nods to each other before they all dashed into the coliseum.

[BGM End]

The beast that awaited the group inside the coliseum was a large two-headed dog on fire, as it roared at them upon their notice.

"TWINBELLOWS!" Pit exclaimed.

"The Underworld's faithful watchdog." Palutena said, as Twinbellows leaped onto the arena to get ready to fight the group.

"Wait, I thought the Underworld's watchdog was named Cerberus?" Jewel questioned.

"Cerberus? Where'd you get that name from?"

"I didn't make that name up! It's an official name from Greek mythology!" Jewel replied, but only earned confused looked from the others. "What? Has no one heard of Greek mythology?" they all shook their heads, causing Jewel to sweatdrop. "You… can't be serious, right?"

Another loud roar from Twinbellows caught everyone's attention back to the massive beast. "We better focus on taking it down right now!" Melia told everyone, as they all got ready to fight.

[BGM: Boss Fight 1 – Kid Icarus Uprising]

"Old Pit's gonna teach you some new tricks! Now play dead!" Pit shouted, firing a barrage of arrows at Twinbellows before being forced to dodge out of the way to avoid its charge attack as the others did the same, and then Shulk quickly attacked it with Monado Buster.

Twinbellows recovered and one of its heads breathed a flamethrower at them, but Jewel doused it by launching water from her Water Sapphire as Twinbellows' other head then attempted to spit out a volley of fireballs at her, only for the Loyal Bodyguards to rush in and form a four-person shield wall to block the fireballs before casting Zap to rain down lightning bolts at Twinbellows, stunning it in place.

This gave everyone the chance to wail on it while it was still stunned, but then it made a surprise attack at them by doing a tail swipe, knocking everyone back. Twinbellows then proceeded to swipe at them with its claws, but they rolled out of the way as Trifle quickly fired a sword beam to hit it from the side while Melia attempted to block Twinbellows' fire attacks with Ice Spread… but that didn't turn out well, since you know… fire melts ice.

After everyone got back up on their feet, they dodged another charge from Twinbellows before Melia used Shadow Stitch to bind it in place as Trifle, Shulk and the Loyal Bodyguards attempted to slash it along with Zelda, who had summoned a Phantom for this, while Jewel and Pit proceeded to fire bullets and arrows respectively. Twinbellows angrily let out a loud roar that pushed everyone back and proceeded to breathe another flamethrower at them, but Zelda repelled it away with Nayru's Love, and then Pit would split his bow again and run over to slash it several times along with Shulk, Arusu, Solo and Eight, and then Eleven used Quadraslash to slam a gigantic sword of light right onto the beast as it roared in agony.

Before Twinbellows could even recover from that, Jewel blasted it back along with Melia using Spear Break to knock it to the ground, where Pit and Trifle ran on opposite sides and slashed through Twinbellows to finish it off at last.

[BGM End]

"Yeah! Victory is ours!" Pit fist-pumped triumphantly.

"Excellent job, everyone!" Palutena praised.

Everyone watched as Twinbellows gave out one last howl before exploding, and the sky was back to normal again… but then a dark chuckle from Medusa prevented them from celebrating, as they looked up to see her massive projection appear in the sky again.

"Listen well, Medusa! Your days of darkness are numbered. Prepare to meet the light!" Pit shouted at the projection, which vanished afterwards.

"So, what do we do next?" Shulk asked.

"Let's return for now. This was just our first step in defeating Medusa." Palutena replied, as a column of light appeared over them before it whisked them out of this place.

Though the group may have won this first battle, the war against the Underworld Army was only beginning…

To be continued…

Ever since I was still coming up with this story adaptation, I've been constantly debating to myself about how the other characters joining Pit would be capable of fighting airborne for the Air Battles. Lots of different concepts came in for me, with one of them being that they would be riding on Pegasuses but I thought, "Nah, that wouldn't work. There are no Pegasuses in Pit's World." Then, after some more thinking, I finally settled on the Magic Wings.

How's this for a start? Trust me, we're going to be in for a wild ride throughout this story! Until the next chapter!
