Hi, everyone! I hope you all enjoy this story as much as I did while writing it. Please feel free to review, I would love to hear your thoughts.
Disclaimer: I don't own My Hero Academia or any of its characters. Mizuki, however, is my own creation.
Let's start with the story, shall we?*
Chapter 25
Mizuki watched her brother as he stood on the stage, his calmness and determination keeping her at peace. She knew that Katsuki was going to tread lightly against Ochaco because he knew of her Quirk and the dangers it had in store for him.
"Midoriya-kun. What was the strategy you were going to tell Uraraka-kun earlier for her to use against Bakugou-kun?" Iida asked Izuku, MIzuki raising an eyebrow in interest. Izuku hadn't given Ochaco his plan against Katsuki?
She wondered what was the reason behind it. After all, he was set out to tell her. The only reason could be that Ochaco declined or he had second thoughts. If it was indeed the first option… Mizuki smirked. Ochaco wanted to fight Katsuki with her own strength and wits.
She had balls.
"It wasn't much really. Kacchan's strong. In a real close combat fight, he has almost no openings, and the more he moves, the more he sweats, making his explosion Quirk stronger," Izuku explained, Mizuki lazily listening to what he said.
"He can use the blasts from his explosions to move around in the air but if Uraraka-san touches Kacchan and uses her Quirk to make him float, the she would have the upper hand. That's why the first thing Uraraka-san should do is do a swift attack," Izuku stated.
"Fourth match, start!"
Ochaco was on the run instantly, her body kept low to the ground as she went straight towards Katsuki. There wasn't even a moment of hesitance and it made Katsuki eyes her cautiously, his stance ready for her.
"Yes, that's good! Even if it's an accident, as long as she can touch him, she can make him float!" Izuku exclaimed as he looked with eyes filled with hope at the fight. He had faith in Ochaco's abilities.
"Bakugou-kun won't want Uraraka-kun to get close to him," Iida said, taking the words right out of Mizuki's thoughts. It seemed like everyone kept a close eye on her brother's movements since their first combat training.
"That's why Kacchan won't want to evade. He'll want to counterattack!" Izuku added and Mizuki's brows furrowed. Ochaco knew it and she was aiming straight for his right swing, her centre of gravity kept low.
I can see that you've thought this through, Ochaco. There's just one flaw in your plan. Katsuki's cautious of you and his explosions has much more force than you know. Mizuki thought as she saw Katsuki swing his arm, an explosion erupting and pushing her back.
"Uraraka!"
Everyone around Mizuki paled, hands flying up to their eyes and ears in terror at the explosion. Mizuki stared at the battle, not giving away any emotions. For someone to have Katsuki be on guard meant that he thought of them as a threat. It was a peculiar, yet high praise.
"Even though you're fighting a girl, you have no mercy, do you, Bakugou-chan?" Tsuyu asked as she tapped on her chin, watching the fight with big eyes. Jiro flinched and had her ears covered after the first attack.
"Everyone's trying to become number one to make their dreams come true. Even if it's not Katsuki, no one would think about holding back," Mizuki calmly stated, everyone briefly gazing at the twin, her crimson eyes blazing.
Katsuki stepped backwards as he readied himself for the next attack to finish her off, the smoke screen in front of him shifting. There was movement and he exclaimed as he brought his hand down, an explosion erupting.
"Don't underestimate me!" Katsuki shouted and Mizuki's brows twitched when she saw Ochaco appearing behind him. She used her jacket as a diversion to catch him from behind and it made Katsuki's eyes widen in surprise.
"Oh, she made her jacket float and sent it over there?! She did it in an instant, too!" Present Mic stated over the microphone, his own surprise showing in his tone of voice. Ochaco was showing her bag of tricks and trying her best to get to touch Katsuki.
Katsuki's instincts, however, had him sent an explosion straight towards her right before she had the opportunity to touch her. Ochaco cried out as she was sent flying backwards and tumbled over the concrete.
"He moved after he saw her?"
"With that reaction time, it doesn't matter if there's a smokescreen. With Uraraka not being able to activate her Quirk unless she touches him, she's at a disadvantage with Bakugou's reflexes," Kaminari pointed out, Sero frowning next to him.
Katsuki's sixth sense of instincts was always something Mizuki admired. She followed the same path of training to get hers as advanced as his, and it was absolute hell. In the end, it was all worth it and it gave one a huge advantage.
It didn't seem to affect Ochaco though. She stood up and charged straight towards Katsuki, her brother sending her back with an explosion to keep her at bay. He destroyed the concrete floor beneath him, making debris fly into her.
Ochaco was relentless and didn't let any of his explosions keep her down longer than a second or two. She was out to touch him and Katsuki held her back by sending explosions her way. No matter how many he sent, she kept standing up.
"Uraraka keeps attacking without rest, but… this is…" Present mic trailed off, not finding enthusiasm or the words to finish his sentence. The fight was one sided, Ochaco the only one to sustain damage.
He's calling me a softy but he hasn't made any move to fight her either. He's purely waiting for her stamina to run out. Mizuki thought and resisted to let out a snicker. Ochaco was starting to surprise her more and more.
Mizuki felt something click in the back of her head and her eyes shot towards the sky. Crimson orbs widened at what she saw and trailed over towards the brown-haired girl. This was what she had up her sleeve the entire time?!
"Hey! Shouldn't you stop this?! Isn't this going too far?!" People from the stands shouted towards Cementoss, the pro hero not reacting at all. Mizuki felt her mood sour as she heard the complaints of the 'supposed heroes' in the stands.
"Hey! How can you say you want to be a hero like that?! If there's such a huge difference in your abilities, then hurry up and send her out of bounds! Stop bullying and playing with the poor girl!" Another hero shouted and Mizuki snarled.
"Who said that?! I'll kill him!" Mizuki fumed and nearly burst out of her chair if it wasn't for Izuku to try and stop her. Iida tried to hold her back, the others all paling at the girl's aggressiveness and sparks that appeared over her body.
"C-Calm d-down, M-Mi-chan!"
"He isn't wrong though-""HAH?!" Mizuki snarled at Kaminari who wanted to argue with her. "You have something you want to say, Dunce Face?! Say it to me after you looked to the sky!" She snapped and everyone blinked. They looked up to the sky, their eyes widening.
"There's booing from part of the crowd… But honestly, I also feel the sa-OW! Elbow?! Why?!" Present Mic exclaimed as he received a hard blow from Aizawa's elbow. Aizawa snatched the microphone out of his hand and frowned deeply.
"Was that a pro saying he's playing around? How many years have you been a pro? If you're saying that with a straight face, there's no point in you watching anymore, so go home! Go home, and look into changing careers!" Aizawa scolded over the microphone.
Mizuki's eyes widened at her teacher's voice and she found herself calming down. He was getting angry and taking action for something that was needed. She found her admiration for the hero grow and smirked.
"Bakugou is being careful because he's acknowledged the strength of his opponent who has made it this far. It's because he's doing everything he can to win, that he can't go easy on her or let his guard down," Aizawa finished, Mizuki sitting down with her smirk widening.
Always acting so damn cool.
Ochaco stood firmly on her feet as she breathed heavy from each blow she received. She was tired, sweat trailing down the side of her face. Katsuki stared at her, eyes narrowed onto her as he watched her every move.
Not yet. She's still not dead! Katsuki thought, everything going on around him falling on deaf ears. Ochaco was still going strong, her eyes shining as she glared at him. She wasn't on the ground yet. She still hasn't given up.
"It's about time… I think… Thanks, Bakugou-kun…for not letting your guard down…" Ochaco said as she straightened herself up and brought her hands together. Katsuki's brows furrowed, confusion gleaming in his eyes.
"It can't be helped from where Katsuki is, but it's unacceptable for a pro in the stands to start booing without noticing. You too," Mizuki glared at those behind her and made them visibly flinch. She then returned her eyes to the stage.
"Ochaco kept her body low as she advanced, concentrating my brother's attacks on the ground, making weapons for her to use. She kept his field of vision narrowed with her relentless attacks to keep him from noticing," Mizuki smirked as she looked up at the sky.
"I'm going to win!" Ochaco exclaimed and brought her fingertips together to release the zero gravity she put on the rubble in the sky. It caught everyone off guard as they finally realized what she had been doing the entire time.
"A meteor shower?!"
"She had a desperate plan like that up her sleeve?!" Izuku asked as he stood up in shock, Mizuki's eyes gleaming brightly. Even he hadn't noticed it. if it wasn't for her wondering why she was continuing to attack, she also wouldn't have noticed.
Mizuki felt a shiver run down her spine and her eyes settled onto her brother as he let out a breath. He was going to release one of his monstrous attacks. Her brows furrowed and she gritted her teeth. He was pushed into a corner to go as far as to tear his own muscle fibres.
Ochaco, you had a good run, but it should be about time. Mizuki thought and crossed her arms over her chest. Ochaco used up all of her stamina and pushed herself with her Quirk to keep the rubble in the air the entire time.
She ran straight towards Katsuki and slowly brought his hand up to the air. He gritted his teeth, forcing himself to secrete a large amount of nitro-glycerine like sweat before an enormous explosion erupted.
The shockwave blasted through the stands, Mizuki briefly having to close her eyes for the faint pieces of rubble. Ochaco was completely blown away by the shockwave while the rubble she stored up, was mostly turned to dust.
"B-Bakugou delivers a satisfying explosion! He blasts boldly through Uraraka's secret plan!" Present Mic stated, dumbstruck at the scale of explosion that was released. What he didn't know though, was the repercussion from the blast.
Mizuki watched as Uraraka stood on all fours, her head hanging in defeat. Mizuki gritted her teeth and clenched her biceps. She was spent and exhausted. Yet, Mizuki didn't want her to give up now. Not after she came this far.
Mizuki watched as Urarake pushed herself on shaky legs, her body protesting at her every move. Katsuki smirked, the recognition in his eyes making Mizuki smirk. Ochaco managed to biggest feat of all today.
She gained Katsuki's approval in strength.
He went straight towards her with his arms pulled back. Ochaco turned around and went to take her own step, but her legs buckled beneath her. She fell onto the ground with a thump and trembled as she tried to drag herself forward.
"My…body…won't do…what I want… I-I also…also…can still…!" Ochaco dragged herself forwards towards the ash blonde male as he stepped into a stance. She was dragging herself on the cement with sheer will power until she stopped moving.
Midnight ran onto the stage and held her arm out towards Katsuki to stop him. She bent down to take in Ochaco's state. She saw the exhaustion in her eyes, her body trembling despite the exhaustion.
"Uraraka-san's out of commission. Bakugou-kun advances to the second round!" Midnight stated and Mizuki let out a breath she didn't know she had. It was over. Her eyes softened as she looked at Ochaco and a small smile came onto her lips.
"The fourth match of the first round… Oh, Uraraka… Oh yeah, Bakugou advances to the second round…" Present mic murmured and received a scolding from Aizawa. "Now, let's pull ourselves together! Let's move on to the next round quickly after a short break!"
Mizuki watched as Cementoss went to work with restoring the stage. She barely noticed Izuku went to the waiting room for his next match. Who was he up against? Mizuki stared at the screen with the names and sweat dropped.
Mei Hatsume.
"Cementoss Sensei is fixing the stage? What type of fight did I miss?!" Eijiro's voice reached everyone's ears, Mizuki glancing back to find the redhead staring in disbelief at the field. He had a plaster on his cheek but other than that, he looked fine.
"Kirishima! Welcome back! You did a great job in beating that guy from Class B!" Sero said with a grin and flexing with his arm. Kaminari grinned and Tokoyami nodded in agreement. His battle enough to stir the hearts of the males.
"Oh, thanks! But I feel kind of stupid to miss the match between Bakugou and Uraraka," Eijiro said while rubbing the back of his sheepishly with a small smile. The recovery took a bit longer than he had expected.
"Kirishima-kun! Well done fighting for your girl!" Mina bounced with a thumbs-up. Eijiro found himself also flushing at her words. He thought in surprise and saw a blush creep onto Mizuki's cheeks, his embarrassment intensifying. Mizuki knew about it too? Oh no.
"Hey, Shitty Hair, move out of the way," Katsuki's voice came from behind him and he saw the ash blonde come from behind. He didn't have a scratch on him, his hands pocketed and his usual scowl plastered on his lips.
"That was tough, huh, Bakugou? Playing the bad guy," Sero stated mockingly and had Katsuki growl at the male. Eijiro swallowed thickly as he suddenly found himself in the middle of something, he had no clue of.
"Shut up! Be quiet!"
"But man, I can't believe you were able to aim such a huge blast at a frail girl. I couldn't help but hold back a bit," Kaminari said and received an earphone jack in the head making him cry out when Jiro heightened the volume of her heartbeat.
Katsuki scoffed and plopped down next to her sister. "What part of her was frail?" He muttered underneath his breath in an agitated tone and Mizuki chuckled at her brother's words. She figured as much.
"How's your arm?" She asked and gently touched his left arm, her brows furrowing when he twitched. There didn't seem to be much damage but the limb was sensitive. She worried that he overused it.
"It's fine. I don't want to hear that from someone who overheats her body!" Katsuki snapped at his sister as he snatched away his arm from her grasp. Mizuki gave him a blank look before chuckling when she saw the faint tinting of his cheeks.
"I take it that Bakugou won the match…" Eijiro mused and went to sit down next to Mizuki, much to Katsuki's dismay. It was irritating. Ever since lunch they had been together, the two of the sitting together with smiles. It was disturbing.
"Yeah, Explodo-kill won."
"What did you call me?! Wanna go, Mizuki?!" he snapped at his sister angrily, his brows wrinkled and his scowl deep. Mizuki lazily looked at him, unfazed by his threats and shouting. He saw her give him a smug grin and a vein palpitated out from his head.
"You're going to have to go through Red here before you can touch your Big Sis," Mizuki said while waving her index finger in the air. "Imagine what they would say if you hurt your precious sibling? Such a sadist."
He went on the attack, Mizuki laughing as she easily dodged the attacks he sent her way. She then gave him an elbow in his side. He let out a curse as he held his side. She hit him on a sensitive spot making him unable to do anything further and everyone paled.
"That reminds me. You said it before too but I didn't think much of it then… Mizuki-san, you're the older twin?" Momo asked, Mizuki's smugness only brief. She glanced at the dark-haired female and smirked.
"I'm the eldest!"
"Don't get cocky! It was only a few seconds!" Katsuki shouted at his sister, still holding his side in pain. He glared at his sister, Mizuki playfully ruffling his hair and resulted in another yelling session that she chuckled at.
"Mizuki's the older twin?" Eijiro asked aloud, freezing when he found the twins eyes on him. They stared at him and he swallowed hard. He was in trouble. If he continued with his statement, it could mean that he was in trouble by either Mizuki or Katsuki. He honestly didn't want to anger any of them.
"Mm, yes, it is unexpected. Mizuki-kun, I thought you were the younger twin," Iida stated, everyone turning white at the male's earnest words. Eijiro turned blue as he watched Mizuki's veins throbbed out from underneath her skin.
"But then again, you do act more responsible and level headed than Bakugou-kun," Iida added and this time angered Katsuki. Mizuki sat back in her seat with a smug look, her temper flaring of the past and her attitude taking a complete turn.
"You bastard! Stop looking at me like that, Mizuki! I'll kill you!" Katsuki threatened, snapping loudly towards her. She chuckled, savouring the moment that she was more mature than her brother and he hated it.
She felt shifting next to her and glanced at Eijiro, a small smile coming onto her face. "You fought well back there. I was surprised. I didn't think you had any buttons to push to get you all worked up," she teased and watched as he blushed.
"I-It's not like that! I-It's just…never mind." She could see that he was bothered by his own actions and had an idea that he thought it wasn't manly. Despite promising herself she would never say that she found his jealously attractive, she smirked.
"You shouldn't bother yourself with trivial matters. If I thought you were acting stupid, I would've blown your head off long ago," Mizuki told him, her statement blunt and threatening. However, Eijiro found himself looking at her with big and amazed eyes.
He grinned and nodded, feeling much better. He put his arms on his leg, their hands brushing briefly and making then both to blush. They didn't move, the contact keeping them content and also keeping her fuming brother at bay.
"Hey, Bakugou, I'll be up against you next. Let's have a good fight!" Eijiro said with his large grin not faltering in the least. Mizuki humming innocently, Katsuki not fazed by the male's words and kept his eyes forward.
"I'll kill you."
"I'd like to see you try!" Eijiro laughed and then frowned. "But man, you, Mizuki and Todoroki can shoot off powerful attacks that cover a lot of ground. Like 'Bam!'" Eijiro said and Mizuki blinked. 'Bam?' He was too adorable for words.
"Yeah, and you can do it with no time lag," Sero added, Kaminari nodding in agreement. They recalled the previous battles they saw of the twins. Their ball of instincts not leaving an opening to strike in.
"I'm not just shooting them off. Don't underestimate 'em. If you overuse your muscles, the muscle fibres tear, and if you keep running, you'll run out of breath. Quirks are physical abilities too. They must have some kind of limit," Katsuki said, glancing down at his arm.
There was a limit to how much power he could produce, hence the reason for his gauntlets. It was the same reason why Mizuki altered her costume to make it possible for her to use it optimal without her needing to push herself past her limit.
"If I think about it like that, I guess that makes sense…" Eijiro trailed off and Mizuki sweat dropped. The other two were in the same state. Had they never thought about it logically? How on earth did they manage to develop their Quirks if they didn't know the basics?
"Now, it's time for the fifth match! We're gonna keep rolling along! Rush headlong toward the top! Fully equipped with support items! From the support course, it's Mei Hatsume! Verses! Even though he's done well, what's with that face? From the hero course, it's Izuku Midoriya!" Present Mic introduced.
Mizuki's eyes settled on the figure of Izuku as he stepped onto the stage. He had a nervous smile on his lips, his body language showing his anxiousness. She understood why. He was going one on one against an opponent in front of hundreds of people. It was completely out of his comfort zone.
Which reminds me… Mizuki glanced at the teachers' lounge, her eyes narrowing. The seat was empty. Toshinori was nowhere to be seen. She wondered if she had been seeing things but quickly assured herself that she didn't.
She didn't know where he disappeared to. Nonetheless, she was going to confront one of the two males or both. She wanted answers. If he was Izuku's personal trainer, then why was he sitting with the hero teachers of U.A.? Was he a teacher? Was he part of the non-curricular guidance?
"Oh, they're about to start?" Ochaco's voice reached her ears and she glanced back at the brown-haired girl, her eyes bloodshot and swollen. "I've got to watch!" She said with pursed lips as Iida exclaimed.
"Were your eyes hurt?! You must hurry to Recovery Girl-""I already went. This is, you know…it's different," Ochaco said and Mizuki pressed her lips together. It was from tears. Tears of frustration because of not being strong enough. Something Mizuki could relate to, yet didn't want to remember.
"Different? If that's the case, then you must've been really frustrated earlier," Iida spoke up and surprisingly knew what was wrong. It seemed like there was a small percentage of him that logically worked.
"Rather than feeling regretful right now, you should use this next match as a source of encouragement," Tokoyami said as he sat next to her, arms crossed and eyes focused on the battle at hand.
"Yeah… Deku-kun is going against Hatsume-san, huh?" Ochaco asked, the colour draining slightly from her already tired expression. The thought of the girl's overwhelming presence and her strange naming of her gadgets made her sigh.
"Uraraka-san?"
"She's from the support course, right?" Eijiro spoke next to Mizuki and she glanced at him as he raised an eyebrow. "Wasn't she the creepy one from the other day?" Mizuki blinked a few times before she snickered.
"Yeah, that's her. She's batshit crazy," Mizuki mused and had the trio in the front row glance up at her. "She came to tell me that she wasn't going to hold back and that her babies would show their endurance."
"Babies?"
"Mizuki-san, you know Hatsume-san?" Ochaco asked, taken back that the ash blonde female was acquainted with her. She wasn't the only surprised one. Katsuki gave his sister a look of disbelief and betrayal.
"Mm? Yes. We did some costume designing together and ended up working together on some of her babies. She's creative and innovative. She always thirsting for more knowledge and puts it to the test. I only gave her a few opinions," Mizuki stated.
"T-That's shocking! Mizuki knows someone from the support course?! Aren't everyone you don't know extras?" Kaminari asked and Mizuki rolled her eyes at the male. She didn't understand why everyone was so shocked about.
"I'm very confused. Babies? Costume designing? Gadgets? When did this happen?" Eijiro asked, dumb folded at the information he received. A few of the others were also thrown into a whirl of confusion.
"Hey, Designer Freak, was it in that lunch I had to cope with Shitty Hair the entire time and you didn't get to eat?" Katsuki asked, Eijiro frowning and Mizuki nodding. Ochaco and Iida gave each other a perplexed expression at the nickname he gave his sister.
"Let the fifth match start!"
Everyone's gazes returned to the stage where Izuku and Mei stood. Izuku inhaled deeply and took a stance, Mei staring at him with big, peculiar eyes. Izuku stood there awkwardly, not sure what he needed to do while Mizuki smirked.
Izuku then ran straight towards her, Mizuki following his trail of thought. He was going to try and push her out of the ring. Mei wasn't, according to her sources, capable of combat. She was a nerd that was permanently immersed in her work.
Izuku took a step before freezing up as he was electrocuted lightly, everyone eyes widening when they saw a small piece of the cement move. She left him a trap without anyone even seeing what she was doing.
"That's a powerful electric current, isn't it, Midoriya-kun? It doesn't have much power but can be perfect to immobilize a villain for a short span. I call it the Invisible electric current," Mei spoke over a microphone she wore.
"She's…wearing a mic? Why?"
Mizuki groaned and face palmed. This is what she meant when she said that she wanted to advertise to the big companies. She was literally going to promote her own products. This girl was indeed batshit crazy.
Izuku managed to regain his senses and tried to run towards her once again, Mei not fazed by his actions. "I can evade easily with my hydraulic attachments!" Mei shot up in the sky, the attachments digging into the ground and Izuku falling right over them.
Izuku stood up and looked at the pink haired girl. She was using this match as an advertisement? He didn't have an idea what to do. The bet she could do was to try and push her out of the ring and it shouldn't require him to need to use his Quirk either.
He sneakily moved behind her and tried to pounce, only to fall flat on his face when she sprung to the air once again. "Since I've got sensors in every direction, I can even deal with attacks from behind!" Mei added.
"This is embarrassing… I can't watch."
Katsuki let out a laugh and grinned in amusement. "Serves that Shitty Nerd right," Katsuki laughed and received a hit from his sister. A hard whack on the head. He glared at her, crimson eyes not backing down from his gaze.
Izuku stood up and tried to reach her once again, his determination set. Before he could reach her, however, her boots made a soaring sound. She was lifted into the air by the boots on her legs, Mizuki letting his shoulder slump when she continued.
"What do you think of this lightness?! These electro shoes use electromagnetic induction on both feet to allow for instant evasive action!" Mei said and grinned as she landed, Izuku then being shot with a net, the poor green haired male exclaiming.
"W-What is this?"
"A capture gun to use against villains. The capture nets are in cartridges and you can fire up to five before reloading!" Mei stated and Mizuki could imagine the face Power Loader was currently making beneath his yellow claw.
Izuku finally got out of his net trap and looked at Mei. Sorry, Hatsume-san, but I'm going to have to shorten your advertising. I need to win this match. Izuku thought as he inhaled deeply and relaxed, his muscles soon clenching.
"Who developed all of these items? It was me, Mei Hatsume! Everyone from the support companies, the choice is clear-" Mizuki's eyes widened when she caught sight of a familiar green light. "Mei Hatsume, Mei Hatsume, Mei…Hatsume…?" Mei's words started to fail her after she felt an incredible force suddenly push her.
"Sorry, Hatsume-san. It's my win," Izuku said as he stood behind her, the sensor on her bag not able to pick him up in time. She looked down at the ground, her feet over the line from the ring. Her eyes widened. She didn't even see him move.
"Hatsume-san is out of bounds! Midoriya-kun advances to the next round!" Midnight exclaimed and after a few moments of silence, everyone cheered. Most of them cheered out of relief from the advertisement while the others were amazed.
"Huh? Midoriya? It looks like he moved too fast for her sensors to kick in and managed to push her out of the ring in a flash! Amazing!" Present Mic announced, Aizawa staring at the green haired boy who laughed sheepishly. He used his Quirk, but completely different than before.
"W-W-What was that?! What did Deku do?!" Katsuki shouted angrily while Mizuki hummed. He wasn't confident about using it during fighting but used his Quirk that would grant him enough speed to push her out of bounds quickly. His brain was as overactive as always.
Ochaco and Iida were also surprised, the dark-haired male didn't expect Izuku to have his own secret move. He kept his under wraps, knowing that he needed to be independent but it seems that Izuku had the same plan in mind.
"A-Astonishing, Midoriya-kun!" Mei took Izuku's hand and shook it vigorously, the male blushing deeply at her closeness. "I didn't know you could move that fast! Why did you only use it now? Is it only a one-time movement? Do you want to try one of my items to help you accelerate more?"
"U-Um…" She's too close! "S-Sorry. I can't control it very well, b-but we have to go. T-they w-want to start the next match!" Izuku tried to distance himself between him and the girl, stuttering as he replied.
He saw caught sight of Mizuki smirking at him and paled at Katsuki raging next to her. She gave him a wink and his eyes briefly widened. He then smiled and nodded. They didn't need to say anything else to one another, already knowing what was going to be said.
"O-Okay! Let's continue! We're gonna go on to the sixth match!"
