Disclaimer: I don't own My Hero Academia or any of its characters. Mizuki, however, is my own creation.
Let's start with the story, shall we?*
Chapter 45
The rest of the day was quick to find its end, the sunset painting the sky in its usual beautiful hue that Mizuki longed for. Even if she saw the sight through her brother's eyes, it still stayed breath-taking.
"Pwah! I'm exhausted!" Mina stretched upwards as she exclaimed tiredly. "Having my brain work overtime even during Hero Basic Training was tiring!" She said as Kaminari and Sero nodded in agreement.
"I agree, but you know what time it is now, right?" Kaminari asked as his eyes sparkled with excitement and mischief. Sero and Mina looked at the male before their faces lit up alongside his, arms shooting in the air.
"Roller-skating!"
"Ah, yeah!"
"They're sure in high spirits, aren't they?" Iida spoke up as he stood with his backpack slung around his shoulders, Ochaco standing next to him. "I think it was a splendid idea of Kirishima-kun to suggest it especially since the stress of the internships is still lingering."
Ochaco nodded with a bright smile. "It's going to be fun doing something together as a class! We haven't done any external activities together before!" Ochaco said with a small bounce, Iida blinking as he cupped his chin.
"I see. I see. We need to concentrate on doing both school and non-school activities together to grow not only individually but as a class as well. Why didn't I see it sooner?!" He exclaimed and the girl sweat dropped.
"I think you're overthinking it a bit, Iida-kun," Ochaco tried to calm down and then caught sight of Izuku. "Ah, Deku-kun! You're coming to the roller-skating dome too, right?" She asked as she walked over towards him, Iida following.
Big green eyes glanced to his side and was accompanied by a big smile. "Yeah, definitely! I only have to run a quick errand. I'll meet you guys there!" He said with a wave and then he was off, leaving the two students to stare at the once filled spot.
"He was off in quite a hurry. He was like that yesterday too. I wonder if it's maybe because he's doing extra time for his academics?" Iida asked and Ochaco shrugged. She stared at the empty spot and frowned lightly.
Deku-kun looked worried. I hope everything is alright…
"Man, I'm beat! I can't wait to let loose!" Kaminari chimed happily and slung an arm over Eijiro's shoulder as he stood ready to leave. "You're a genius, Kirishima! You know that?" Eijiro chuckled and shook his head, catching sight of Mizuki who smirked.
Of course, he was. She wouldn't have fallen for him otherwise. She wasn't going to admit it aloud and she was sure that her brother knew what she was thinking with the gaze she received. Luckily, it was their little secret.
"We're heading off, Red. We'll meet you there, on time and everything," Mizuki said as Katsuki walked ahead of her. She gave him a smile and a wave. "I look forward to it." She didn't add anything further as she followed her brother out.
Only the trio was aware of the actual reason of the occasion. Though, it didn't take a few students a lot of time before they figured out what was going on. No one dared to say anything or make any assumptions and blissfully ignored the two.
Meanwhile…
Izuku stood in front of the door that led to the teacher's break room. He felt conflicted as he stood there, no one else in the hallway. He had been here the day before and now again. The topic of the day before was incredibly tense and he had a feeling that today won't be any better.
All Might told him that he needed to talk about happened between him and Mizuki and that it involved him as well. He swallowed thickly. He could only hope that Mizuki hadn't found out anything.
Mi-chan… He thought back to where she told him to keep his secret better hidden and his grip on his backpack tightened. It was too difficult to keep anything away from her watchful eye and it would've been only a matter of time before she made the connection because she already knew All Might in his true form.
"Excuse me," Izuku softly spoke as he knocked on the door and then slid it open. All Might sat on the cough in his anorexic form and calmly poured tea for the two of them inside a cup. The green haired boy stared. The scene was in complete contrast of what he was expecting.
"Ah, Young Midoriya, I'm glad you could make it. I apologize for the inconvenience. I know that you and your friends were all headed out after school." Izuku's blinked and All Might grinned. "They couldn't stop talking about it during class," he added and Izuku smiled.
"It's okay! It was Kirishima-kun's idea for everyone to let out some steam and relax. I promised that I'll meet up with them later on," Izuku said and went to sit down on the chair opposite of All Might, a cup of tea handed to him.
"I won't keep you occupied for long then, Young Man." All Might put down his cup of tea. "What I'm about to tell you is only for your ears to hear. You are not allowed to tell anyone else this. Not until we have enough evidence of it ourselves," All Might said and Izuku swallowed thickly.
"Is it about the conversation you and Mi-chan had yesterday?" Izuku asked in uncertainty, green eyes gleaming brightly as he looked at his mentor who was no longer smiling. It was concerning to have him make such a face.
"Partially, yes. I'm going to have to begin at the beginning though. Do you remember the day the League of Villains attacked at USJ?" Izuku frowned and nodded. "Do you remember the Nomu that Young Mizuki fought against?" All Might asked and received another nod.
"You told me that day, that Aizawa-kun was the one to stop the Nomu from injuring Young Mizuki anymore, yet it was a miracle since his Quirk didn't work beforehand," All Might said and Izuku glanced down at his tea.
"Yeah, I'm still grateful that Aizawa Sensei was able to stop it in time. I honestly didn't think my body could move fast enough to stop it… Why do you ask? What does that have anything to do with MI-chan?" Izuku asked and All Might intertwined his fingers, elbows resting on his knees.
"The one who stopped the Nomu from attacking that day, wasn't Aizawa-kun. It was Young Mizuki." The words knocked all the air out of Izuku's lungs. The colour drained from his face and he nearly dropped his tea.
"A dormant Quirk that activated as soon as the wielder is exposed to a life-threatening situation is what we believe it to be. Though, Young Bakugou doesn't show any signs of it, his sister does giving us the impression-""Wait!" Izuku cut off the male, shooting up.
"Wait a minute! Y-You're kidding! Mi-chan has another Quirk? Not to mention that she used it against the Nomu?! T-There has to be another explanation for this! Maybe the Nomu stopped himself or the villains stopped it!" Izuku tried to excuse.
"We already confirmed it." Izuku's eyes were wide in disbelief. "Young Mizuki became a prime target for the villains after they saw what she was capable of. She became a target without even knowing it," All Might said and Izuku fell onto the chair with a soft thump.
"Without knowing… A-Are you telling me that Mi-chan doesn't know about this?" All Might's eyes were enough to tell him the truth. Izuku had an endless amount of unanswered questions that whirled in his head.
"We don't know anything about this Quirk, except that it can inhibit a Quirk to an extend where the person is immobilized. It also didn't come forth dominant and we wanted to keep it a secret until we have as much as information as possible," All Might said.
Izuku felt something click in his head. "W-wait, this Quirk, did Mi-chan use it at the Sports Festival?" All Might blinked. "A-Ah, that's not what I meant. Um, she fought against Shinsou-san and apparently his Quirk didn't work against her. Could it be…?" Izuku trailed off.
All Might's eyes were wide. "She unconsciously used it without any of us even noticing." He was shocked. He was informed about the backlash of the Quirk caused her to inhibit her own Quirk and that it happened at the festival but he wasn't aware of more than one case.
"This is a lot to take in… I've known Mi-chan and Kacchan since we were little and nothing like that ever came across. You said that only Mi-chan shows signs of it. Do you think the gene is dominant in her but recessive in Kacchan?" Izuku asked and All Might nodded.
"Possibly. We honestly don't know the extent of this unknown Quirk and we don't know how harmful it could be on her or anyone else. For now, we're only keeping an eye on her progress and any abnormalities." All Might stated.
"But what does this have to do with yesterday?"
"You remember what I said about the League of Villains?" Izuku's eyes widened. They wanted to get rid of her. "Yesterday, Young Mizuki asked me the strangest question out of the blue and I fear she might've found a bad source. She asked me if I was part of the League of Villains."
Izuku gave him a blank look. Huh?
"I'm sure that was my expression too when I first heard it," All Might said and averted his eyes downwards. "I don't know why she made such a conclusion but she knows something that she isn't sharing. Moreover, she knows that you received your Quirk."
"EH?! H-HOW?! I-I promise I didn't tell her!"
"I know, but there was one person who you hinted at." Katsuki. "Though, I'm sure that he didn't tell her anything about what you told him, but if he didn't, then who did?" All Might asked and Izuku fidgeted with his hands.
"Mi-chan won't ever be part of something evil like that," Izuku's tone was low and his expression showed his seriousness. All Might could see the peculiar gleam lurking in his young predecessor's eyes.
"I highly doubt it myself, especially since she was adamant about killing me if your life is put in danger." Izuku blushed. "I'm only speculating. But I want you to keep an eye on her where we are unable to. It's possible that someone ticked her off or is trying to communicate with her," he said.
Izuku was then painfully slapped in the face by reality once again. There was only one person that lead one specific group that would even know something close to what was the truth. Either that, or there was a spy amongst them.
"I understand…" All Might was about to take a sip of his tea before Izuku spoke again. "When do you plan on telling Mi-chan about everything? If she's in danger, she would be livid if she didn't know," Izuku said. He wasn't even talking about how Katsuki would react if he learned the truth.
"I'm going to leave that in Aizawa-kun's hands. He's been keeping a close eye on her to make sure that she's safe and that nothing unnecessary happens to her. For now, we'll only support from the side-lines," All Might said and Izuku nodded.
It was yet another secret that he had to keep from her. It was all piling up and he didn't know where to grab or where to let go. What made it worse was that it wasn't something of him, it was a personal matter that she didn't even know of.
Mi-chan… His grip of his cup tightened. I promise that I will protect you like you always protected me in the past! I won't ever stop trying to keep you safe. He thought with determination, engraving those words into his heart.
That Night…
Mizuki walked beside her brother as they head towards the designated dome. They were still stuck inside each other's bodies, the horror of once again having to change clothes. It was one thing they would hope for forget when all this was over and done with.
"I don't get why I had to wear this absurd outfit. What the hell was wrong what I wanted to wear?" Katsuki asked angrily as he stomped next to his sister. Mizuki gave him a lazily glance, hands pocketed in her black pants.
"You wanted to wear your own clothing and that I won't allow. Even if I'm not in my body, I will always make sure that I look my best. Besides, you look great too!" Mizuki said as she gestured to Katsuki's body.
She wore his usual heavy-duty combat boots with loosely fitted black pants, an olive green dress shirt that was rolled up to her sleeves. The pants had a chain hanging from her pants pockets and she wore a weaved beige belt.
Katsuki scoffed, grumbling something underneath his breath. He also wore dark pants with a red checked jacket tied around his waist. He wore a white top that loosely fitted his upper body and managed to keep the unwanted breasts hidden as far as possible.
He still didn't like the idea that he was going to either be a third wheel or that he was going to be stuck with the rest of the idiots in the class. He glanced at his sister's smile, her unnervingly good mood making him also experience the happiness, much to his dismay.
"I'm going to watch you two carefully. If you do anything weird, I will end both of you!" Katsuki threatened and Mizuki chuckled. She gave him a playful nudge that only received her a half threatening look.
"Ah, there they are! Hey! Over here!" Ochaco's voice reached their ears and they glanced towards where the group of U.A. students stood. The brown-haired girl stood next to Mina, Iida and a few others standing behind them.
"Ah, Mizuki-chan! You look so cute!" Mina exclaimed as she bounced over towards the female. She and Ochaco both wore different coloured and patterned skirts, complimented by a matching top and jacket.
"Um, Mina, still not me," Mizuki said as Mina slung an arm around her brother's shoulders. Mina blinked and received a glare from Katsuki. Mizuki let out a chuckle, hands still pocketed in her pants as she watched the scene.
"Well, you still look very cute, Bakugou!"
"Screw you! Get off me, already!" Katsuki shoved the female off him, the girl snickering when they saw that he had a faint blush on his cheeks. The poor male. Mizuki didn't know if he was going to survive this.
"Mizuki-kun, you're still trapped inside each other's bodies? Aren't you worried that it's been too long?" Iida asked, and Mizuki frowned. She looked down at her hands and made eye contact with her brother's worried eyes.
"I think we'll be fine. She said that the effects last maximum 24 hours. Don't worry your mechanical head over it, Four-Eyes," Mizuki told the male and he blinked in confusion. Ochaco stifled a laugh, finding the insult somewhat funny.
"Everyone! Sorry we're late!" Momo's voice reached their ears and everyone glanced back at see the dark-haired female being accompanied by Izuku and, much to everyone's surprise, Shoto. Mizuki was baffled at the sight.
She looked at Izuku and then back at Shoto. "Did you kidnap him?" Mizuki asked the green haired male exclaiming in shock at her accusation. Shoto merely blinked and watched as the male waved his arms frantically in front of him.
"N-No! I would never-?!""I'm onky teasing. Calm down, Izu-kun," Mizuki told the male. The teenager let his shoulders fall in defeat and a trail of sweat fell down his face. Her grin and mischievous eyes were too much for him in Katsuki's body.
"But it really is a surprise to see you here. I'm guessing you took a ride with Momo?" Mizuki asked and the dark-haired female shook her head with a faint smile. Mizuki raised an eyebrow. How odd to have Shoto come to this type of hangout.
"Then why did you-?""Hey! What are you guys doing out here? We've already found a spot for us inside!" Kaminari called the group as he and Sero walked over. Mizuki gazed around, crimson eyes looking for someone in particular.
"They've got killer music inside and the smoothie bar is great!" Sero added and had the girls already bouncing with happiness. The group walked on, Mizuki standing behind and not moving from her spot.
"Are you coming?"
Mizuki looked at Shoto, Katsuki not far in front of him while looking back. "I'll be there in a sec. Don't go hogging all the smoothies for yourselves!" Mizuki weakly snapped at the two boys, Katsuki's brows twitching. He scoffed and stomped off, Shoto soon following.
Mizuki let out a breath and crossed her arms over her chest, crimson eyes glancing around. She wondered where the redhead was. Was he already inside? Surely, he would've come out to greet her, right?
"Excuse me, are you waiting for someone?" A male voice asked from behind and Mizuki frowned. She didn't have time for anyone to piss her off when she was currently in a good mood. Crimson eyes snapped backwards and then widened.
"Red."
Eijiro grinned widely, the brightness of his expression briefly blinding her. "Hey, Mizuki. Sorry to make you wait. You look nice," he said and Mizuki blinked. She frowned deeply and gave him an unimpressed expression.
"Really? I'm in my brother's body, dressed like a guy. I didn't think that you swung that way, Red," Mizuki said and he flushed a deep crimson. She resisted a laugh at his embarrassment and gave him a wink.
"You don't look too bad yourself. Do you think you'll be able to kick my ass in those pants?" Mizuki asked the male. Eijiro gave her a nervous grin and rubbed the back of his head in a sheepish gesture with a laugh.
"Yeah, I don't know about that. It's my first-time coming roller-skating. I wanted to experience something new alongside you," Eijiro said and Mizuki's eyes widened. He watched as she went to touch her lips in deep thought.
"I guess you're taking a bunch of firsts from me, Red." He stared at her in surprise. "I haven't been at a place such as this before!" She said with a big grin. Eijiro swallowed thickly and felt his nerves collect at the pit of his stomach.
"I-It was your first kiss too?" Mizuki's face was instantly red at the question and she was quick to want to cover it with a curse. Eijiro laughed and gently pulled away her hands from her face, crimson eyes revealed.
"Hey, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. If you cover up your face then I won't be able to see your eyes." Mizuki felt like she was going to melt onto the ground under his stare. "Besides, there's no one else I would've wanted to give that first to," Eijiro said, his hand clasping hers.
"You-Can you stop saying things like that!" Mizuki weakly snapped at the redhead but he was already dragging her towards the dome. She stared at him and couldn't resist the smile that formed onto her lips.
As soon as they stepped inside the dome, the music boomed lightly in their ears and colourful lights bounced around in the rink. On the sides where small shops, all with different variety of products or food that was sold.
"Do you have your ticket?" Eijiro asked as he pulled Mizuki towards the area where the roller-skated where given out. Mizuki reached into her pocket pants and handed it to him. They went ahead and each got a pair of skates for them to wear before sitting down to change their shoes.
"W-Whoa! I-I got it! I got it!" Ochaco called as she was already moving inside the rink. Izuku was next to her, laughing and Iida was moving stiffly. Mina and Tsuyu was already skating freely along with Jiro and Momo. Meanwhile, Tokoyami, Shoto and Katsuki stood on the side eyeing the floor.
"Here, I'll help you."
Eijiro's voice brought Mizuki out from her haze and she saw him kneel in front of her to strap on her roller-skates. "W-Wait! It's okay! I can do it myself!" Mizuki grabbed the male's hands, only to receive a pout and a look filled with disapproval.
"It's won't be manly of me if I left you to do it on your own, will it?" He said and Mizuki's retort fell on empty words. "I'm only tying them up for you, okay? You don't have to worry. I'll make sure that I won't let anything hang lose for you."
That's not it, Red. Mizuki thought with a blush as she watched him tie her shoes. I'm not in my own body right now and still you're insisting to be a gentleman. She could feel her heart hammering in her chest, her cheeks incredibly warm.
"There! And up we go!" Mizuki yelped when Eijiro suddenly pulled her onto her feet and it resulted in her grabbing onto him for support. The skates were much less stable than she expected them to be.
She blinked at the warmth as he held her with a kind smile and then pushed him off. "S-Sorry about that! I'm fine now! We should probably go and join the others!" Mizuki quickly excused, Eijiro chuckling as he followed the female as she pulled herself along the rink.
Nice, Mizuki. Not lame at all.
"It took you long enough! What the hell were you two doing?" Katsuki asked, standing angrily. He had his arms crossed over his chest, index finger tapping impatiently on his bicep. Mizuki took a moment to observe her deva of a brother while Eijiro laughed.
"Sorry, Bakugou! It's my bad!" He then blinked at the outfit the male wore but said nothing. Mizuki had made sure to give her brother still a cool and intimidating look. She knew exactly how to dress for each occasion, didn't she?
"Hey, why aren't you guys going out there? Are the lights and the people a bit too much for broad men like you?" Mizuki asked the teenage U.A. boys standing on the side. She smirked and put her hands on her hips, Shoto blinking.
"We're only here for the atmosphere."
"Tch, what's the fun in that?" Mizuki then shrugged. "Well, whatever. Let's go, Explodo-kill, Red," Mizuki said and went to take a step onto the rink, Katsuki not moving an inch. Eijiro watched as the male frowned and shook his head.
"Like hell I'm going out there. You morons go and make fools of yourself all on your own," Katsuki snapped and Mizuki glanced down at his feet. He was wearing the skates so why was he complaining? She then smirked evilly.
"Okay, let's go, Red." Eijiro gave her big eyes filled with confusion and reluctance. "If big bad baby doesn't want to join us 'cuz he's too scared, leave him be," Mizuki said and had her brother's body go rigid.
"If you say-""I'll show you that I can skate even better than you, Mizuki!" Katsuki snapped at his sister and stepped onto the rink. Mizuki gave Eijiro a wink, the male laughing at her peculiar ways to get her brother to cooperate.
Katsuki frowned as he tried to skate, feeling much more unbalanced as what he expected to. It couldn't possibly be that difficult. He had excellent balance and control over his body. He could do this with his eyes closed!
A hand grabbed his, crimson eyes glaring into an identical pair. "Before you go blasting off like a rocket, let's try doing this normally. We've never done it before, right?" Mizuki pointed out and Katsuki growled, averting his eyes away.
"This actually doesn't feel too bad. I thought that it would be more difficult," Eijiro spoke up as he strode next to the twins. He looked at his side, sweat dropping at the twins as they resembled a pair of newly born deers. To think that the two best in the class could have such a hard time with roller skating.
"Mi-chan! You finally made it!" Izuku called over as they advanced and Mizuki glanced up to see the male standing next to Ochaco. Behind them, Iida flew passed, his movements stiff and poised with not a moment of hesitation.
"Shitty Deku. Who the hell taught you to do this?! If he can do this, then I can too!" Katsuki snapped and let go of his sister's hand. Mizuki shouted after him, but it fell on deaf ears. She watched in fear as her brother nearly lost his balance and fell on his face if it wasn't for Eijiro to catch his arm.
"You alright?"
The surrounding girls standing around all stared at the scene where Eijiro helped the female up onto her feet and then squealed. Mizuki didn't know who took it worse, she or her brother. By the angry emotions she felt inside her chest, she assumed it was Katsuki.
"That idiot. He's not ever going to calm down, is he?" Mizuki thought with a sigh that accompanied her slumping shoulders. Izuku sweat dropped and paled slightly as he watched Katsuki shout at Eijiro, Iida soon joining the fray.
"I doubt Kacchan will calm down," Izuku said and Mizuki face palmed, a groan escaping her lips. He put a soothing hand on her shoulder and she gave him a gratitude filled look. Sometimes it was difficult for her to understand why he had glued to their sides for all those years.
"Deku! Take your hand off my shoulder!" Katsuki came skating on shaky legs towards them, the intimidation dwindling away as a result. "Let's do it! Let's have a contest to see who's the best at skating!" He challenged with a sickening grin.
"Huh? Why?!"
"Idiot, you're still in my body! How the hell do you plan on racing like that?!" Mizuki asked and gave her brother a knock on his head. His attitude was starting to work on her nerves and if it kept up, she was going to kill him before the night was at its end.
"I think it's a great idea! The boys can all race to see who's the best!" Mina said while clapping her hands in excitement. "We'll even clear the floor for you and put on a super cool song!" She was getting too far ahead of herself.
"That's-""If it's a race, then count me in!"
"Me too!"
"I'll join in too."
Mizuki was cut off as all the men suddenly came afront. She didn't even know where Aoyama came from or when Shoto had the time to put on his shoes. Everyone was already putting together a race and left her stranded.
"Nah, Mizuki, if I win this, will I get that present?" Eijiro asked, Mizuki blinking slowly before feeling heat pour into her cheeks. He gave her a big and innocent grin. What were they thinking? Why did they always have to make a competition about everything and drag her along with it.
"Do as you please…"
"This is so exciting! Don't you feel yourself getting goose bumps, Mizuki-chan?" Mina asked as the girls walked off the rink. Mizuki had her head hung, not believing what was happening and Tsuyu giving her a sympathetic look.
"I have a feeling that there's going to be nothing left of this stadium after this and I'll probably have a bruised body as a souvenir," Mizuki said and the girl sweat dropped at her negativity. They looked back at the boys and Ochaco took a step forward.
"No using Quirks! We're not at school now and we don't want anyone or anything to get injured!" Ochaco went to the rescue and gave Mizuki a thumbs up. The ash blonde blinked and then chuckled at her gesture.
Katsuki looked at Izuku and gave him a crazed grin. "I'm going to murder you, Deku. You too, Half-and-half Bastard!" Katsuki threatened the duo. Shoto was completely unfazed and Izuku also had a hard time to take him too seriously when he was in Mizuki's body.
"Alright, boys! And Bakugou." Katsuki growled at the pink skinned girl. "This is how it's gonna work! You all are to go three rounds inside the rink and the first one to pass me, wins! No rough handling or using of Quirks, got it?" Mina said and they all nodded.
The tension was high in the group as the all stood ready. Everyone had cleared the rink in the meantime to give the group some space and stood on the sides to see what was going to happen, the excitement building.
"Alright! Ready…GO!"
Mina swiped down her arm and the boys were off, Katsuki giving himself a head start by using those next to him. All he needed was to gain momentum before he was in the lead, a arrogant smirk plastered on his lips.
"Hey! Geez, I won't let you win this, Bakugou!" Eijiro was already building momentum as he went after the ash blonde male, Iida, Izuku and Shoto following close behind. Mizuki was surprised to find Shoto being able to skate flawlessly. Why was he good at the most unexpected things?
"Go, Deku-kun! Iida-kun!" Ochaco cheered as they passed them, the girls laughing as they watched the men skate. Sato, Shoji, Tokoyami and Kaminari were at the back, the first trio struggling not to fall.
"Kaminari, don't fall behind! Be a man!" Jiro called towards the male, only to receive a glare. Kaminari was about to counter before a purple blur shot passed him with a crazed laughter. Everyone's eyes widened when they saw who it was.
"Mineta-kun?"
"Hahaha! Did you honestly think that I won't be able to stand a chance in this competition?! I'm a roller-skating pro!" Mineta shouted and grinned evilly. "Roller-skating is the paradise of girl's skirts lifting up!"
"He's trash."
"When did Mineta even get here? I never even saw him up until now!" Mina pointed out, shocked to see the midget. He was easily catching up to the first group, Katsuki in front and a trio coming in close behind him.
"I'm surprised. I thought Bakugou-chan was bad at this but he's keeping the lead and taking sharp turns without falling," Tsuyu pointed out and then glanced at Mizuki when they heard her let out a sigh.
"It's only temporary. We learn something incredibly fast after getting the hang of it," Mizuki replied and they paled. They were once again reminded that the twins were indeed incredibly talented. "But sometimes determination will overcome fast reflexes."
Mizuki smirked as she watched Izuku and Eijiro come in close behind Katsuki as they finished the second round. They were quick on their way to the end, Shoto and Iida short on their heels. The pressure was high.
"Geez, they don't let themselves slow down even for a moment, do they?" Sero asked as he passed Aoyama who scoffed. They were skating fast, yet not at the same insane speed. If he could only use his tape the it would've been a cinch.
"I'm going to win this! Don't even think about passing me, Shitty Deku!" Katsuki yelled towards the scruffy green haired male who frowned. He might've been in Mizuki's body but he wasn't going to lose to him.
"Sorry, Kacchan! I'm going to take this one!"
"Midoriya, you're in the way!"
Shoto went passed the two with a single stride and their eyes widened. Katsuki growled and shouted angrily after the male, but he was determined to win this. Unfortunately, Katsuki's tenacity was endless as he tried to grab him.
I can still do this! I just have to prepare for one strong stride to get me to the front right before the end! Eijiro thought as he prepared himself, his legs moving side to side as he build his momentum to go faster.
"W-Wait! Kacchan!" Katsuki grabbed onto both Izuku and Shoto and shot himself off, pushing them backwards. Izuku clicked his tongue and then advanced once more, Shoto on his side and not slacking with speed.
"I am number one!" Katsuki shouted with a grin and was in the lead, his eyes resting on Mina's figure. They didn't stand a chance! Ha! It served them right! They underestimated him and deserved to be losers.
His eyes widened when a familiar redhead came flying passed him, a big and toothy grin following. "Sorry, Bakugou. I'll be going ahead," Eijiro said and as Katsuki went to grab him, he slipped. This had Izuku and Shoto's eyes widen and they went to catch him on instinct.
"Aaaaand… Kirishima-kun wins!" Mina exclaimed as the redhead passed her and he cheered, arms up in the air. Everyone laughed and cheered while clapping their hands. Mizuki smiled softly at the male and he grinned at her, before his eyes widened.
"Watch out!"
The unstable trio was heading directly towards the girls, the opening in the rink approaching them fast. Mizuki's eyes widened when she caught sight of them and pushed Ochaco out of the way, just in time before her brother, Izuku and Shoto crashed into her.
They yelped on impact, Mizuki and Katsuki crashing painfully into each other. Izuku and Shoto lay on opposite sides from the crash, each also taking a knock to the head. The entire group of students ran over worriedly.
"Ow, ow, ow. That hurt." Izuku spoke as he rubbed his head and pushed himself onto his knees. He heard Ochaco by his side, Iida on his other. "I'm okay. Or at least I think I am." He nervously said, Ochaco leaning in to look him over.
"Are you sure, Deku-kun? That was a hard fall. Let's help you up," Ochaco said as she held out a hand, Iida doing the same and Izuku's face exploding with embarrassment. S-she's too close! He thought as he took their hands.
"Todoroki-kun, are you alright?" Momo asked the duo haired coloured male as he managed to stand up with little difficulty. She looked at him with concern dancing in her eyes and he gave her a stoic look, a nod following.
"I'm fine, thanks. What about Mizuki?"
"Mizuki-chan! Bakugou! Hey, wake up!" Mina called the twins as they lay half-conscious on the ground. "I think they hit their heads and nearly knocked themselves unconscious. Do you think we need a medic?"
"Stop…shouting…!"
They watched as the female held her head, worried that Katsuki was going to lash out at him. Meanwhile, the male did the same and growled angrily. Crimson eyes weakly glared at the counterpart next to him.
"What the hell is your head made of?"
"My head? Yours practically cracked my skull!"
Everyone sweat dropped as the two fought without a moment of hesitation and let out a sigh of relief. Eijiro kneeled down and held out a hand towards the twins, a look filled with half guilt showing on his expression.
"Thanks, Red." He blinked.
"I can get up myself!" He blinked again.
Mizuki, in her own body, took his head while Katsuki, in his own body, slapped it away with much irritancy. This had everyone stare at the twins. It only took a few moments before the twins to exclaim in shock.
"We're back to normal!"
"Mizuki is Mizuki again and Bakugou is Bakugou? Does that mean all they needed was to crash into each other for the Quirk to switch them back?" Sero thought, a raised eyebrow as he watched the twins grin with relief.
Thank you! I will never, ever take you for granted again, body! Mizuki thanked. She could see her vision was slightly blurry and the headache form with a tinge of disorientation but she didn't want it any other way.
"Finally! I'm finally out of your pain in the ass body!" Katsuki exclaimed as he jumped up, finding his balance and centre of gravity back to normal. Eijiro helped Mizuki up and she then dusted off herself and scoffed.
"You can say that again. It feels good to be back!" Mizuki said and saw Mineta look at her breasts and ass, mumbling something that made him receive a kick in the stomach. She let out a breath and then smirked.
"Let's continue to have a great time, shall we?" Mizuki said and the girls cheered, the men all smiling in reply. Mina was already thinking of a new activity to do, Tsuyu and Ochaco trying to stop her from going all out while Jiro and Momo merely laughed.
Mizuki chuckled and looked at Eijiro who grinned by her side. She felt her cheeks tint when she thought about his victory and averted her gaze. Katsuki was already marching on with the rest of the group, hands pocketed. He was back in his body and no longer a third wheel.
He would leave them be for now, especially since Eijiro won the race fair and square. He would have his time where he gave Eijiro a talk. For now, Mizuki was happy and he was going to leave it at that for today. After all, she was still by his side where she belonged.
"Man, I didn't think that you'll change back like that!" Eijiro laughed. "I was surprised when the crash worked! Luckily, you didn't get hurt," he said, an innocent grin plastered on his lips. He watched as Mizuki give him a small smirk.
"I'm not that weak, you know?" Mizuki took a few steps forward, hands intertwined behind her back. "I'm also not a very patient person, either. If you don't take your prize then it'll be unredeemable by the end of the night," she hummed and Eijiro's eyes widened.
Ah, that's right. He won. He completely forgot about it! Everything had escalated so quickly with the crash and the twins changing back that those thoughts flew away. He could feel his own blush form and reached out towards her, taking her hand gently.
"Then I'd have to take it before the night ends…and probably before Bakugou sees me," Eijiro said with a nervous laugh and Mizuki chuckled. She could feel her brother's eyes on them and knew that he was giving them just enough freedom. If they overstepped, he would probably pounce.
"That's going to be a problem then…"
"Not for long." Mizuki gave him a perplexed look. He gave her a wink and before she could ask him what he was talking about, the lights inside the dome went off. There was yelping and screaming from the girls from the sudden darkness.
"Whoa! What happened?"
"Did the power maybe die?"
"Hey, Red. What's-" Mizuki was cut off with a pair of lips pressed onto her own. Gentle and warm hands cupped her cheeks and she felt her body melt in his touch. Her heart hammered in her chest, almost wanting to pop out as she gave into the blissful feeling.
Her eyes slowly went to flutter closed before neon lights were switched on the roof and walls. Eijiro broke the kiss and gave her a big grin through the darkness, the neon lights the only illumination. Mizuki's eyes were wide in wonder as she looked around.
"Mizuki," Eijiro called her name softly and she looked up at him, the shadow of his face lighting up. "Thank you for coming. I'm really enjoying it with you here." Mizuki was glad that the reddening of her cheeks was hidden and gave him a smirk.
"Of course, you do. There better be no one else you would enjoy it with other than me," Mizuki pointed at the male, poking him on his chest. Eijiro chuckled and put his head on hers, the close proximity warming up both of their bodies.
"Never."
Mizuki's arms clasped around his neck and merely stood there in the contentment. His hands rested on her hips and his eyes were closed alongside hers. At that moment it didn't matter what went on around them, all that matter was them.
Neither of them knew the trails that awaited them and neither of them knew about the uncertainties of the future. It didn't matter. All that mattered was the feeling of being near each other and knew that as long as that was possible, they could overcome anything.
"Red, promise me something." Eijiro opened his eyes, crimson orbs swallowing him whole as they stared at him. "Promise me that you won't ever think that you're not good enough," she said and lay her head against his chest.
Eijiro embraced her and rested his forehead on the top of her head. "Yeah, I promise. You don't ever have to worry about that!" He said and she chuckled. She gave him a playful nudge and then ran off laughing, the male laughing as he ran after her.
I want you always to take my hand and drag me head first, fearless.
