C/N(Cousin's Name)

Your POV...

"Y/N! Are you all packed for your trip tomorrow?!" I hear my cousin shout from the brightly lit hallway outside of my room.

I finish packing the last of the things I'm bringing, close my suitcase, and put it next to my bed, on the floor. Then I sit down on my bed. then decide to answer. "Yes, for the fifth time, everything is all packed.", I reply, sick of repeatedly saying the same sentence. I then ask. "Why aren't any of you coming with me? You'll be missing out on a great time!"

I don't get a reply, but I hear quiet footsteps coming near the room. Then, I see my cousin appear, who then leans up against the doorframe of the open door. A scowl is planted on C/N's face, and I get my answer. "You're the one who wants to go so badly. Besides, I have to go to the airport. C/N starts yelling at me. My flight leaves shortly after I have to bring you. Some of us actually have things we need to do. But seriously, out of all people, why you! Why do I have to be the one stuck with you for 10 hours?! C/N yells in an annoyed tone while trying to suppress the rising annoyance within.

I sigh, 'C/N, why do you never want to do anything for me? It's always what you need to do. If you aren't going to go, can you at least be happy for me?'

I don't want C/N to see me as some needy child, so I cross my arms and retort with "Fine then, it's your loss. I've heard that the view is amazing, there's peace and quiet, and the people there attend to your every need. So don't blame me when you start complaining." I reply, trying to suppress the eagerness in my voice, but ended up failing miserably. '

'Great job at trying to seem tough, Y/N. Now it's obvious I care about the words being said.' I think to myself, not realizing that C/N was saying something.

C/N's POV...

"I don't understand why you want to go on this trip so damn badly! Everyone else decided that I should be the one to bring you just because I'm already traveling, to begin with! What makes you so special? Unlike you, I actually have things that are-,

'Wait, why isn't that loser saying anything? By now Y/N would've at least said something.' I break out of my rant and turn my head back towards Y/N. Only to see Y/N stuck in a daze. How dare you ignore me, Y/N! I'm going to go through all the trouble to drive you to your resort, when I have my own things to do, and you just ignore me?!'

Knowing that yelling is pointless, I just go out and try and snap Y/N out of the dazed state. "Hello? Earth to, Y/N! You alive?" I ask while hastily waving a hand in front of Y/N's face, sending a cold glare to go with it. Y/N flinches, obviously startled from the little reality check.

I withdraw my hand, and force myself to stop glaring. Y/N, now out of the little trance, looks at me with a bewildered expression, then, after a few seconds of giving me a blank stare, Y/N questions "Huh? Oh, what were you saying? I wasn't paying attention, sorry."

I sigh out of frustration as I facepalm and shake my head, I then compose myself long enough to form a non-aggressive reply, "Clearly.", In response to that, Y/N just looks at me as if trying to comprehend what I just said. I turn around and walk towards the door. As I'm walking, my mind begins to leave the room, and I'm into my thoughts, once again.

'Seriously? Are you fucking joking? Why am I even wasting my time! This is going absolutely nowhere! God, tomorrow is going to be just lovely!'10 hours with this dense excuse for a human being...'

Right before I leave the doorframe, I quickly turn around one last time, not bothering to hide my deep frustration.

Your POV...

"Whatever, it doesn't matter now! Just-just go to sleep, and come to the car exactly when I say! Got that, Einstein?"

I now see C/N in the doorframe, eyes narrowed, arms down locked by C/N's sides, yelling it a tone that's enough to even scare Satan himself. I swallow hard, and look straight at C/N, and keep my reply as neutral, and as short as possible. "Yes, yes, I understand. Be at your car when you want me to."I say while nodding.

"You better." I hear my cousin say bitterly, as C/N turns around and finally leaves my room.

I lay back on my bed and feel a wave of relief wash over me, my body becomes more at ease. I stare up at the cracks on the ceiling, contemplating what tomorrow will bring.

''Finally, tomorrow I can go to the resort I've always wanted to go to. It'll be close to nature and even have some historical information about it. The best thing about it is, no C/N whatsoever. The worst that could happen is there being absolutely shitty weather, C/N bringing me to some paranormal place, whether it be on accident, or on purpose. Then I just get left there out of C/N's impatience. Wouldn't be surprised. But there's no way that'll happen. Tomorrow will go exactly as planned.'I smile to myself feeling confident about tomorrow and find myself drifting off to sleep.

Time skip to the next morning_

*Crash*

"Wha-" my eyes shoot open, I spring right from my bed and look towards the window. Flashes of light and water droplets encase my vision.

'A storm...just what I need on a day that I'm supposed to be enjoying myself on. I hope that 'Hollow of The Forgotten isn't like this. Well, time for me to get ready, I don't need C/N after me.'

I sigh, then walk over to my closet and put on: a t-shirt, rain jacket, a pair of jeans, and boots. 'These aren't the clothes that I thought I'd be wearing to even get to the resort, but this will have to do.'

After I change, I sigh heavily to myself and turn around to walk to go back to where I left my suitcase. I hear my door slam open, and I freeze in my tracks.

"You ready, dork?" I hear a sharp voice ask.

"Eek!" I jump and turn my whole body towards the now open door. I'm met with my cousin who is bearing a look of displeasure with crossed arms. After seeing that it is only C/N, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "Yes, I'm all set to go. Let me just grab my suitcase, and I'll be there."

"Good. Now hurry up! I'm trusting you to work the GPS!" C/N says quickly. Before I can say anything, C/N walks away. I face back towards my heavy suitcase and start to drag it to the car.

Time skip to outside_

I make it outside and head to the spot where my cousin's car is supposed to be. 'I'm at the right place, so why do I only see what looks like what you'd get if you took a white convertible and made it look like it was from a Sci-Fi movie.' "Wait-what happened to C/N's car? And who's is this?" Seconds after I ask that, C/N appears in front of me.

"Two things, that is not my car, and try thinking in your head next time!"

"Well, what happened to it? And how are you going to bring me? This is where you told me to go."

C/N's POV...

"That," I point to the car that's sitting in front of us, "Is what I'm taking you to your oh-so-special resort in. As for whose it is, I rented it from a car dealer." I respond firmly.

"But, why? Your car works just fine, you do still need to drive yourself to the airport."

"Please," I scoff at Y/N's remark, and roll my eyes. "you actually thought that I'd waste my car's precious gas on someone like you?"

"Fine. Where do you want me to put my things? I don't want them getting wet." Y/N asks me.

'At least Y/N actually understands that some people have places to go.' I think to myself.'

"Just carry it with you." I get a look of skepticism in response. "What? I'm not going to be held responsible if your stuff gets ruined. Now get in."

Y/N glances at me, then I see Y/N walk towards the car, I then follow, not letting my eyes stray from Y/N.After I get in the car, I hand Y/N the car's GPS manual.

Y/N looks down at the manual, then up at me. "What are these instructions for?"

"How to make the world explode," I answer sarcastically. I then see Y/N's eyes widen, disbelief spread across Y/N's features.

No, it's for the GPS, dummy."

"Okay, but I don't think I can do this."

"Of course you can. Even someone as dense as you can understand simple directions!"

"But I don't mean-

I grit my teeth, face my head back towards the road and start driving. "Just set it up and shut up. I'll tell you when to start it!" I say through gritted teeth.

Your POV...

My eyes go back scanning the page of words I can't even understand.

'Let's see what else this says."Inserire prima il tipo di modello dell'auto, quindi la destinazione desiderata. Il modello influisce sulla funzione GPS." I sigh to myself. 'I can't understand a damn thing this is saying. Oh well, here goes nothing.'

I turn my head away from the pages and up towards the complex-looking machine that's built into the car. 'Oh great.' I look at the screen, and it's making just as much sense as the manual does.

I once again read the unfamiliar words to myself. "Per cercare premere la barra dei menu in alto. Oppure, per ottenere i luoghi suggeriti, premi il pulsante blu della mappa in alto a destra dello schermo."

'Well, this makes no sense and C/N isn't the most patient person , so going with my instincts is the safest option, here.'

I place the manual down on the dashboard, and proceed to the GPS's touchscreen. I press a blue button that reads " mappa ", and below it, it reads "premere qui per accedere ai suggerimenti."'

First thing I see, and I'm running out of time, so let's hope this does something.'

I press the blue button with caution. It brings up a list of 2 places. I see "Vuoto Dimenticato" and the second one reading, "Vuoto Del Dimenticato".

"The resort is pretty popular so it must be the first one. There's a bat icon next to it, strange. But it doesn't matter, maybe that's just their logo. It does have to do with nature afterall.'

"Start it." I hear my cousin simply say.

I press the first option, and immediately, the GPS starts speaking. "Thank you for choosing our service, starting route now." See? Told you it wasn't hard at all." I hear my cousins voice follow.

I swear, I would've fallen out of my seat right then, if I wasn't buckled in. Unable to form complete sentences, I just yell out of shock "What?! But this thing was just-how is it speaking-"

"That's what it's supposed to do. Now be quite so I can hear this." Deciding not to argue, I lean back in my seat and decide to just let the GPS speak, and let my cousin drive.

Time skip 5 hours_

"Get up, We're here!"

I open my eyes not realizing that I must've dozed off. "Hm?" I look at my cousin than towards the car window. "Oh! We're here."

C/N faces towards me, with a bored expression present. "Yes, now get out!" I unbuckle my seatbelt, and open the door.

I look outside further and realize that this isn't where I'm supposed to be at all. The rain here is extremely heavy and the wind is strong. Bare trees and dead grass fill the area. I freeze in my seat "Um, C/N? This isn't where-

"I don't want to hear it! This is where the GPS brought you, so this must be the place. Now go!"

Before I can protest any further, C/N shoves me out of the car, slams the door, and speeds off.

I sigh, realizing that there's no going back, I look around for any signs to tell me where I am. It's hard to see anything through the rain, but after a few minutes I manage to find a sign that reads "Forgotten Hollow" 'They must've just changed the name. Maybe it just doesn't look like it does in the pamphlet.'

Just great. What mess did I get myself into?" I ask myself. I turn around once more and see what looks like a house in the distance. I can't make out the details, but where there's a house, there must be people who can help. I start to drag myself towards the mysterious building. After some time, I make it to what I assume to be the front of the house. I can't make any details out, but I walk up the stone steps and proceed to walk to the door.

I knock on the door three times, then wait for a response. The door opens, but I'm met with a figure who I did not expect to see.

Red hair, Pale skin, sharp teeth, white eyes, pointy ears. Holy shit, that's a vampire! I really am in the wrong place. This is Forgotten Fucking Hollow!'
