As Naruto left the now defunct factory, a change in the air around there resonated with him. The dead are at peace now that the corruption of Cypher Chōji's gluttonous appetite can no longer gorge upon their remains, allowing them a more respectable respite in the afterlife.
"Chōji is down, next are the Yamanaka Clan and possibly Ino..." Naruto decided with mild discomfort. He didn't have anything against Ino so to say, but she can be a bit much at times when it comes to looks and sex appeal. Her clan specialize in techniques meant to manipulate others with their minds, so he decided they had to go first and fast. Caution is heavily advised as heaven knows what new powers and horrific deformations they've developed in their 'gifts'.
While he wandered the streets of Konoha he was confused by how abandoned the city was and he was certain that Konoha was now a city than a village with the advanced design to the buildings given how they're more akin to modern civilizations he's visited in other worlds. Yet despite his now demonic appearance, no screams, no sounds of running feet, not even a sight of a single living soul. He should have asked Chōji more of what happened in Konoha besides the war his mother waged with his apparent demise because there should be at least civilians walking about...not this.
His nose then took notice of a floral scent and began to instinctively follow it, for the Yamanaka clan were known for owning a flower shop in Konoha. He expected the flower shop would be a lot bigger, as in it was an average flower shop building compared the smaller and humbler one in his youth. What he did not expect was a massive greenhouse with a jungle inside of it with various types of flora from different eras inside it.
The wraith shook his head in exasperation, things were getting out of hand here in this place. First a food factory for Chōji, then a giant greenhouse holding a jungle for Ino, is there going to be some sort of lounge to relax and laze about with the Nara clan next? "Clearly my time away has caused the former village I knew to grow a few new additions here that might catch me off guard." he mused as he noticed his body began fading in and out faintly.
"Already at my limit now, eh? Very well. I shall return to the Spectral Realm and feed. I must be at top condition before facing whatever mind games Ino's clan would most likely play upon me."
With that, Naruto casted his physical form away as he dived into the spirit world and beheld hundreds-if not thousands of souls flying in this purgatory realm. Removing the scarf that covered the lower part of his face, the missing lower jaw and fangs instead of normal teeth in the upper jaw as the reaper of souls began his feast. The souls were none the wiser as they were recycled into the Wheel of Fate.
Cypher Ino Yamanaka slowly opened her eyes, sorrow was in them as she felt Chōji's death yesterday and it hounded at her. What went wrong? Was her beauty not enough to lure people offerings of nourishment to her friend? Did some weak-willed simpleton somehow accidently break free from her grace and charm? She tried to access the residue consciousness of her deceased friend, trying to recollect the information on how it happened.
Then she saw it, blond spikey hair and cold blazing blue eyes glaring down at her from the memory fragment. Ino knew those features anywhere, who wouldn't. The beloved prodigal son had returned from the depth of the unknown and was angry.
"You know, I expected more members of the clan to be here but they're nothing but withered, dead husks. What happened to your clan Ino?" a familiar voice from many millennia in the past now spoke to her in the present. She slowly turned and beheld a ghoul with her friend's voice, hair and eyes. A living husk of a skeleton with burned sinew and muscle tissue and a cowl that covered the lower face. Yet his presence was simply intoxicating to be in. He still had the power of a Heavenly King, and while unannounced, she was in her own twisted way joyful of his return.
"Welcome back my King," Ino purred, her eyelashes fluttering and a coy smile on her face when she looked into his eyes. Naruto mentally rolled his eyes, Ino was a trained assassin specializing in seduction and mind games. Manipulating her victims with charm, body and mind jutsu her clan utilized made her Femme Fatale. He wouldn't share the same bed with someone dangerous as her, and besides…he's immune to her attempts after that who fiasco with the goddess Ishtar.
No glamor could move him, a boy dedicated to true love by finding one's soulmate. That was Ino's biggest mistake. "What became of everyone Ino?" he asked, sitting at the edge of her bed in his own way of playing along with her failed attempt of charming him. "My clan…is it…?"
Now Ino looked away, guilt and shame were visible on her face, and it was genuine too. "Gone. The Uzumaki clan was purged, the very few survivors fled. This hurts us badly Naruto. Konoha's power balance was violently altered when several other clans scattered from Konoha out of fear. Only the Ino-Shika-Chō remained only out of obligation." She explained as Naruto clenched his fist tightly as his energy output began to rise, causing the very room to creak and groan under the pressure as Ino was startled by the display of power.
"So that was what Chōji meant. I am the last Uzumaki living in Konoha…" the tired voice rasped out before falling on his back, the bed bouncing slightly as Ino slowly crawled to the wraith's side and caressed his head. Part of him knew it was true, but to think they would be reduced to such numbers worried him so, because he sensed those three precious ones, he cherished out of the Uzumaki clan, his direct kin were still alive. Shana, his fraternal twin sister…and his two time-lost children Boruto and Himawari.
"There are ways of preserving a clan my King." Ino began, her dainty fingers removing the cowl, revealing the jawless face of the wraith as his grotesque appearance did not disturb her at all. "My clan has unified themselves to a single vessel, only sleeping dormant till needed."
Ah…that's what happened. Ino has absorbed her entire clan's consciousness into her own, all united in a single body. Their souls have passed on, but their minds remained, existing nothing more than copies of the originals.
"…I need power. Power so I can reclaim vengeance on Jiraiya who put me through this hellish form I exist as. Power to protect my remaining loved ones so they don't have to suffer. Power…to change the world." The wraith spoke with conviction while Ino pressed her lips on his forehead.
"In exchange for my soul…spend one night with me." Ino requested.
Turanox blinked himself awake and shuddered. Acquiring the memories of his original self in real-time was not a pleasant thing and was lucky to cut off the connection just in time. That was when Ixon walked up to him, with a complaint of some sort that he wouldn't care about. With what went on with his original and that version of Ino he was familiar with caused a bit of mild trauma at the girl's desperation for a man.
"Ino, if you develop necrophilia, I'll end you for good." He warned her, causing the Nobody to squawk indignation at such a notion and demanding on an explanation for that rude comment. He won't elaborate, he refused to tell her about how her counterpart wanted to sleep with his undead self. It disturbed him on a level beyond comprehension.
Even worse now that he felt that surge of telepathic power surge into his being, meaning that deed was done. He felt gross on so many levels that not even a hundred showers or purification rituals could cleanse him.
