Just got in the spirit of writing on thanksgiving. If you're expecting a super OP character this ain't it chief. I ask that you stay with me though you might enjoy.

"Fuck!" Michael went on for quite a while, so long so that some adventurers had arrived

"Young man, cease your outburst!" An iron class adventurer with two copper class companions had arrived. Michael stared them down but he knew he couldn't do anything to fight them off. After all they were heavily armed and armored.

Michael ran from the scene to find a calm alleyway to gather his thoughts. He thought back to the conversation he had just a few minutes ago with the bastardly creature that sent him here.

Michael was nervous he had woken up not in his bed but in a dark void room greeted by a spectral fox.

"Hello there Michael, sorry to startle you so." Michael was greeted by a simple fox

"W-Who are you and where am I?"

"Straight to the point, eh? Well you're not unique in that regard from those before you. Young Michael I won't grace you with my name but know I am a powerful creature and you are in my domain."

"So uh. Why am I here?"

"Now that is the real question isn't it? Tell me Michael are you confident in your fighting ability?"

"Huh?"

"I've been watching you for some time now you seem to be a very adept martial artist, and you have a very impressive record. So I ask are you confident in your ability?"

"Well, yeah. I wouldn't compete if I wasn't confident. Uh Against human opponents! I am very confident against human opponents. Michael made sure to put severe emphasis on the human part of his statement

"Well I brought you here mostly for my own sake but now that I know that it'll help you with the human part."

"Hey. Hey. Hey. Where are you going with this?"

"Michael I've seen that you've taken an interest in this work of fiction in you world known as Overlord. I however have grown quite aggravated by others like you."

'I don't like where this is going.' Michael thought to himself.

"I've seen time and time again humans so confident in their ability to how do you call it, curb-stomp any opposition."

As the fox finished his statements Michael heard voices coming from seemingly everywhere. All very arrogant and self-rightous

"I'd wreck Ainz any day of the week."

"The humans here are so weak-minded. If I was there things would be different."

"I'd be the first human to rule Nazarick."

"I grew interested in all this talk so I gave them the opportunity. I created an exact copy of this world and let them carry out their righteous word, yet time and time again they have failed. I grow tired of failures and I wish now to see a success and that's when I found you." The fox had spoke with an air mischief in his voice which only added to Michael's concern.

"Hey man I'm nothing special and even more so I've never thought that about anime characters and stuff, I'm just a fan."

"Ah but that's just it you are special. Unlike many before you are well trained. You have an impressive record for an martial artist, and your modesty. I'm interested in how it would affect your mentality in this world."

"C'mon man, I'm still just an amateur, I fight in a cage with rules and a ref. That place has people with swords and magic and shit."

"-You should really have more faith in yourself. In any case your pleads mean little to me, I wish to be entertained so I'm not giving you a choice."

And with that a black vortex opened under Michael.

"No, Fuck you!" Michael's last words rang out as he was dragged into the portal

Michael was unconscious when he arrived and when he had finally woke up he saw he was in a new world. The buildings and roads gave him a Medieval European vibe. He hadn't recognized just what town he was in but when he saw adventurers with various ranks he knew it was E-Rantel.

"You'll have quite some time to prepare before the arrival of a super powerful individual you know all too well, good luck."

'No no no no no.' Michael was in disbelief and was about to explode

"Fuck!" Michael screamed at the top of his lungs.

In the alleyway Michael calmed himself and collected his thoughts.

'Okay well I'm stuck here I know that much. That fucking fox just wants to be entertained but he mentioned a powerful individual.' Michael thought for a few seconds but it was too obvious Ains Ooal Gown. That damn fox wanted him to fight The Undead King, but there was no way. He was just a Martial Artist how he could he fight arguably the strongest person in this world?

"Having a breakdown are we?" The fox appeared before Michael but it was much smaller like the size of a fairy.

"Breakdown? How the fuck do you expect me to fight Ainz of all characters?" Michael was clearly livid at the insane task set ahead of him.

"Simple, train." The fox replied but Michael just felt as if he was being taunted.

"Train huh? Think it's that fucking simple? Oh I guess I'll just go punch some Lizard-folk or a bunch of goblins until I'm ready to fight a Lich that overtook a whole kingdom and made the entire populace his bitches. He literally bitchmade a whole kingdom!"

"Do you think I'm idiotic enough to bring you here without offering you a path to success?" The fox asked seemingly offended

"What?" Michael was confused and as a result his animosity had subdued a bit.

"I am well aware this world has its basis in a video game, and as such I gave all that I sent here the ability to grow and mature much like any inhabitant would."

"L-Like levels, and classes?" Michael was intrigued and his anger was for the most part nonexistent.

"Yes, I expected those before you to train and grow and at the very least put up an admirable fight against the Undead one."

"Can I see where I'm at?"

"Close your eyes and try to visualize yourself. Visualize your strengths, weaknesses, your potential."

Michael was hesitant but trusted the Fox and closed his eyes. He concentrated on creating an image of himself. It was hazy at first but he calmed himself and slowly he began to see himself in a character sheet.

"I'm a pretty low level too."

"Consider this generous. I never said I'd make this easy for you. If you survive it will be from your own ability."

"... Wait, Survive?" Michael screamed but the Fox didn't reply and instead disappeared.

"Survive? Wha- Can I die here?" Michael was left to ponder just how deep he was in shit.

Short little introductory chapter. In hindsight this chapter might be difficult to read given the whole flashback bit. It's easy for me but then again I'm the author so everything is easier for me to read. Nevertheless above anything else please tell me if you all were able to keep up alongside things I can do to improve. Honestly telling you all now. I will be slow to update. I'm occupied heavily with work as I do long hours and I only really have the weekends to write. Luckily I was off for the holiday. I mostly just wrote this pilot for my own sake It was a nice idea so I decided to put it into writing. If you'd like for me to continue I'm already interested in doing so as well as adjusting the story according to requests, so long as it doesn't curve too much from the main ideas I have for this story. OBLIGATORY AUTHOR GOODBYE!

P.S. If anyone knows a good way to write in timeskips or has stories of good examples of timeskips please send them my way. THANKS!
