Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this chap, and let the battle begin! Percy is badass and also slightly scary when you piss her off. Anyways, please review!

Percy blocked out the two gods words as she surged towards the surface, glad to be out of the water as she surged towards Annabeth- Luke and Thalia had joined her- Luke had managed to find a motorcycle from the looks of it.

Annabeth was on her phone, pacing, a worried look on her face and Luke was already climbing onto the motorcycle, calling for Thalia to climb on behind him, though he faltered when he spotted Percy.

"Sephie! Oh thank the gods we didn't know how long you were going to be down there."

And Annabeth whirled around too, hanging up the phone quickly, "Are you done here?"

"The rivers are safe, dads birthday present from last year really helped out." Percy said quickly as she reached them, "What's wrong?"

"Sherman Yang just called. Another army is marching over the Williamsburg bridge. The Apollo cabin needs help. And Percy, the monster leading the enemy . . . it's the Minotaur."

Percy froze, her eyes going wide before she gritted her teeth before she forced herself to breath and whistled as loud as she could- Blackjack was bound to be nearby and he'd be the fastest way to get to the bridge. "Luke, you and Thalia ride the motorcycle to the bridge to join us."

"What- but Sephie the last time you faced the Minotaur he-"

"I kicked his ass." Percy cut her brother off, "Or have you forgotten that I beat him-" she could see two dark shapes circling out of the sky, heading down towards the four demigods.

Soon enough Percy could make out Blackjack and Porkpie- and Thalia and Luke took off even as the pegasi landed.

"Yo Boss Lady, you called?"

"You able to give us a lift buddy?"

"Always, but it was a pain getting here, I thought those wind gods were gonna knock us to Pennsylvania until we said we were with you!"

"They're protecting the city from aerial attack. We should have warned you, sorry-"

"Don't worry. No where do we have to go?"

"We need to get to the Williamsburg Bridge,"

Blackjack lowered his neck. "You're darn right, boss. We flew over it on the way here, and it don't look good. Hop on!"

So Percy and Annabeth did climb onto the pegasi, and they took off quickly, Percy bending low over Blackjacks neck as they flew, trying to force herself to calm down- it wasn't like the Minotaur was the worst thing she'd ever faced- it was just the fact that the whole journey to camp and that fight had been pretty traumatic- and he'd been the worst she'd faced up to that point.

Sure she'd beaten it but- well it had been a lot closer than she'd like admitting.

They saw the battle before they were close enough to make out individual fighters- it was well past midnight now- and a voice in the back of Percy's mind whispered that she was counting down to her birthday. She pushed that thought away, forcing herself to focus on the battle below.

The bridge blazed with light. Cars were burning. Arcs of fire streamed in both directions as flaming arrows and spears sailed through the air.

They swooped lower, flying over the battle to get a clear view of what was happening and Percy winced- the campers were being forced into a retreat- Sherman and Austin were holding the line as best as they could but it was pretty hard, they were badly outnumbered and overpowered and they were being forced to retreat- they would hide behind cars and the Apollo kids would snipe at the approaching army, setting off explosive arrows and dropping caltrops in the road, building fiery barricades wherever they could while Ares campers were dragging sleeping drivers out of their cars to get them out of harm's way and hacking at any monsters that managed to get close. But the enemy kept advancing. An entire phalanx of dracaenae marched in the lead, their shields locked together, spear tips bristling over the top. An occasional arrow would connect with their snaky trunks, or a neck, or a chink in their armor, and the unlucky snake woman would disintegrate, but most of the Apollo arrows glanced harmlessly off their shield wall. About a hundred more monsters marched behind them.

Hellhounds leaped ahead of the line from time to time. Most were destroyed with arrows, but one got hold of an Apollo camper and dragged him away. Percy's stomach twisted uncomfortably- it felt so wrong seeing a Hellhound as an enemy when she had a pet Hellhound.

She didn't see what happened to the Apollo camper- she was glad for that, though she did feel relieved when she spotted Kayla leaping onto a car and shooting several arrows at monsters that got close to one of the Ares kids who was dragging a mortal man to safety- and when the enemies sent a few arrows at her Mark was suddenly there, yanking her behind him as the thudded into his shield.

"There!" Annabeth called from the back of her pegasus.

Sure enough, in the middle of the invading legion was Old Beefhead himself. Percy felt her entire body tensing up- the last time she'd seen the Minotaur he'd been wearing nothing but his tighty whities- which had been pretty gross honestly but she much preferred that to the sight that met her now because now the Minotaur was ready for battle.

From the waist down, he wore standard Greek battle gear—a kiltlike apron of leather and metal flaps, bronze greaves covering his legs, and tightly wrapped leather sandals. His top was all bull—hair and hide and muscle leading to a head so large he should've toppled over just from the weight of his horns. He seemed larger than the last time Percy had seen him—ten feet tall at least. A double-bladed axe was strapped to his back, but he was too impatient to use it. As soon as he saw her circling overhead he bellowed and picked up a white limousine.

"Blackjack, dive!" Percy gasped.

"What?" The pegasus asked. "No way could he . . . Holy horse feed!"

They were at least a hundred feet up, but the limo came sailing toward them, flipping fender over fender like a two-ton boomerang. Annabeth and Porkpie swerved madly to the left as Annabeth screamed for Percy, while Blackjack tucked in his wings and plunged. The limo sailed over Percy's head, missing by maybe two inches.

It cleared the suspension lines of the bridge and fell toward the East River.

Monsters jeered and shouted, and the Minotaur picked up another car.

"Drop us behind the lines." Percy ordered, her voice breathless, "Stay in earshot but get out of danger okay buddy?"

"I'm not gonna argue with you boss lady." Blackjack swooped down behind an overturned school bus, where a couple of campers were hiding. Annabeth and Percy leaped off as soon as the pegasi's hooves touched the pavement. Then Blackjack and Porkpie soared into the night sky.

Sherman made a beeline for them, his face red- there was a nasty gash across his left cheek and he was holding his left arm awkwardly- Percy could see blood on his shirt from a cut she couldn't quite see properly.

"Thank fuck you guys are here- I just got a call from Clarisse and Michael- they were attacked while they were leaving camp, they'll be here here but they're taking longer than they thought that they would. Which means we're not getting the back up I was hoping for."

"Right." Percy let out a breath. "You've been doing well-"

"Is there any other backup coming-"

"I'll call Leo." Annabeth already had her phone out and she was clicking on the screen quickly, pulling up Leo's number to call him, holding the phone to her ear and pacing.

"If you're the only back up we're screwed- no offence-"

"Eh, c'mon." Percy gave an almost crazed grin, jabbing her thumb into her chest, "I thought you liked a challenge Sherman, and you've got me-"

"I like a fight as much as anyone else-" Sherman let out a loud laugh. "And honestly- maybe you're not entirely wrong. I did see you against Clarisse and Michael-"

"I'm a badass bitch and I take no criticism." Percy laughed loudly.

"Love the confidence- I've got Mark covering Kayla and Austin's back, they're setting traps farther down the bridge." Sherman grimaced, "We need to pull back."

"No. Bring your campers forward to this position and wait for my signal. We're going to drive the enemy back to Brooklyn."

Sherman blinked slowly, his eyes going wide. "Okay- okay I'll do that but how the Hades do you plan on doing that Percy?"

Percy grinned, uncapping Riptide- and she probably looked slightly manic because there was a flicker of nervousness in Sherman's eyes as he took a small step back.

"Percy-" Annabeth called over, "Let me come with you-"

"No- you focus on getting Leo here." Percy called back, "And Sherman's going to need your help to coordinate the defensive line. I'll distract the monsters. You group
up here. Move the sleeping mortals out of the way. Then you can start picking off monsters while I keep them focused on me. If anybody can do all that, you can." she met Annabeth's gaze, and Annabeth gave a short nod in response, her face pale.

"Fine. I love you Seaweed brain. Get yourself killed and I'll beat you up."

"The worst thing is, I know you would." Percy couldn't help the laugh that bubbled up past her lips. "See you on the other side Wise girl." then Percy was moving- she stepped out from behind the school bus and she walked up the bridge in plain sight, straight towards the monster, flicking open her locket with her free hand, the armor forming around her.

When the Minotaur spotted her his eyes burned with hatred- clearly he hadn't forgotten their last run in. This was personal. She hadn't just killed him last time, she'd hurt him. A lot.

The monster bellowed- a sound that was somehow a cross between a yell, a moo, and a belch.

"Hey there!" Percy gave a cheeky wave and grinned widely, "Haven't we met before? I could have swore I chopped off your fingers and killed you, right?"

He pounded his fist into the hood of a Lexus, and it crumpled like aluminium foil.

A few dracaenae threw flaming javelins at Percy and she knocked them aside. A hellhound lunged and Percy stepped to the side- forcing back thoughts of Mrs O'Leary as she got into a good position and rammed her blade through the monsters neck and stepped back as it disintegrated into dust and fur.

More monsters surged forward—snakes and giants and telkhines—but the Minotaur roared at them, and they backed off. Percy felt a slow smile spreading across her
lips.

"That's right big guy, this is between you and me isn't it." she twirled Riptide, she was showing off a bit she knew, but she wanted to taunt the monster a little bit.

The Minotaur's nostrils quivered- he was seriously pissed off, and he unstrapped his axe and swung it around.

It was beautiful in a harsh I'm~going~to-gut~you~like~a~fish kind of way. Each of its twin blades was shaped like an omega: Ω—the last letter of the Greek alphabet. Maybe that was because the axe would be the last thing his victims ever saw. The shaft was about the same height as the Minotaur, bronze wrapped in leather. Tied around the base of each blade were lots of bead necklaces.

And Percy realized with a sudden wave of shock and fury they were Camp Half-Blood beads—necklaces taken from defeated demigods.

Percy felt a rush of fury- she almost imagined her own eyes glowing as she tightened her grip on her sword and raised it. The monster army cheered for the Minotaur, but the sound died a moment later when Percy dodged his first swing and sliced his axe in half, right between the handholds.

And now that she was closer- now that she could see the necklaces more clearly she felt the fury flooding through her again, fiercer this time, and she flung out a hand, her entire body almost shaking with fury- and the Minotaur was cut off middle of a stunned 'moo' which turned into a choking noise.

She felt the familiar tugging sensation in her gut- she didn't think that would ever go, not when she was using her powers like this- and the monster let out a confused grunt and then a cough as she curled her fingers into a fist, gripping Riptide tightly as a stunned confused hush fell around them- the monsters watching didn't understand what was happening. Of course they didn't- and the Minotaur's fury was turning into panic as he started clawing at his throat- making choking noises- and Percy pushed down mental images of Ethan in Antaeus' arena, of Bianca, of Thalia and Zoe who had been so terrified of her.

The bridge shook as the Minotaur dropped to his knees, and Percy stepped forward, tilting her head slightly.

The Minotaur had killed demigods, had probably killed people she was friends with. Percy felt a manic smile spreading across her lips- there was terror in the monsters eyes- it was only right. After what the Minotaur had done- and then a voice screamed.

"Percy that's enough! That's enough just finish it off!" and Percy jerked, as if she was coming out of a trance and she unclenched her fist, stepping forward and thrusting Riptide straight through the Minotaurs armor with a strength that she'd have never had before she'd swam in the Styx- and as the Minotaur crumbled into dust Percy whispered.

"Hope you enjoy Tartarus."
