The Justice League members were suddenly zapped back into the mind scape where Wally was sitting in a saddle on the back of a large white creature with a matching arrow to the Avatar's.
"So, who are all of you?" asked Wally.
"I'm Katara," said the girl," this is Sokka, my idiot brother and Aang, the Avatar." Sokka was dressed up in the boy version of the red clothing Katara had on and was holding a blue boomerang. Aang wore orange monk clothing and had a staff that turned into a human sized glider when tapped on the ground, but much thinner. Wally suspected if anyone else tried to fly with that glider, they would fall to their deaths.
Wally looked at all of them and the electricity sparked off in high. He decided to trust them. "I'm Wally."
"Why were you on that firebender ship?" Well, he couldn't exactly tell them because they were good people because obviously if the Avatar was against them, they weren't. Maybe there was a glitch?
"I snuck aboard and it started moving. I got stuck but somehow the firebenders didn't see me until I got off." The League members were shocked with how good the lie was, and how smooth he said it. The Wally they knew couldn't lie for his life.
"So, what's an Avatar?" That was obviously the wrong thing to say because they were all staring at him open mouth.
"I grew up in a small town away from the city and gossip. I never heard of an Avatar, though that could just be me sneaking off when Gram was reciting the stories to all the kids in the town."
"Um, the Avatar is basically this guy who can control all the elements and keeps the peace." said Sokka.
"I'm guessing if you haven't heard of the Avatar, you haven't heard of the War either." said Katara. Wally shook his head.
"So there's been a war going on between all the other nations and the Fire Nation for a hundred years now. It's Aang's job to stop Firelord Ozai who wants to take over all the nations and burn them to the ground. They've already destroyed the Air Nomads which actually started off the war and the Southern Water Tribe is no match for them."
"Why?"
"They took all the waterbenders there except for me. I recently found out that the fire benders had heard of one last water bender in the southern tribe and came there. My mother who is the wife of the chief of the water tribe lied and she told them that she was the water bender and..." She started crying while Wally scrambled over to comfort her. He knew exactly what happened. They killed her. When Katara gained control of herself, she continued.
"She lied and sacrificed herself for me. I was the water bender. When I found out, I literally marched over there with Zuko who's now good and nearly killed him before Zuko talked me out of it. I'm glad I didn't kill him but, not by much. Anyway, the only places left are the two Earth cities and the Northern Water Tribe. They're both fortified but right now, Zuko is teaching Aang firebending while we head to the place where the ultimate showdown is going to happen. Where Aang is going to kill the Firelord." Aang looked slightly uncomfortable and turned away, to steer the sky bison who he found was named Appa and had been Aang's spiritual companion for years.
"What if I don't want to kill the Firelord?" asked Aang from the front. Sokka and Katara looked towards him.
"But that's the only way to end him. Once and for all." said Sokka.
"What if I told you it wasn't?" said Wally. They all looked at him.
"What do you mean? Are you a bender?"
"Not exactly. I'm actually from a different dimension." They looked at each other and burst out laughing.
"Yeah, right." said Sokka. Wally sighed and speeded over to Sokka's side.
"Woah! How did you do that?"
"I'm a speedster."
"So... you run fast?"
"Yes, among other things. But Aang, I can tell that you don't want to kill him. It goes against the Monks code. I also have a no killing code, but I've defeated my enemies just the same. Now, it's a bit easier to stop your enemies. I can teach you how to remove someone's bending."
"Wait, that actually makes sense. No bending, no firelord!" said Sokka.
"But can you actually do that?" said Aang.
"Yes you can. I'll teach you before the big battle. But you should focus on your fire bending in the mean time. You still have to get super close before you can remove his bending." Katara inched away from Wally.
"I'm not going to take away your bending Katara. I have absolutely no reason to. Besides, you saved my life didn't you."
"I guess, but how do I know?"
"I'm literally going to teach Aang how to defeat the Firelord without killing him."
"I guess." There was a large flash and they were again, in the saddle but obviously a different time. Katara was sewing Sokka's pants while Sokka relaxed at the other side. Aang was trying to show Katara a neat marble airbending trick.
"Just leave her alone Aang. Girls love their sewing." said Sokka.
"What's that supposed to mean?" asked Katara.
"Girls are just better with sewing while men go hunting!" said Sokka.
"Permission to kill?" asked Wally.
With a smile Katara said, "Permission granted." Wally stalked towards Sokka. He tossed his I-Pod towards Katara who reached up to catch it. In that instant, she was hit by a torrent of memories, other people he had given it to. There was a blonde boy who played the song Freaks, on it from Maze Runners. There was a black emo looking teenage kid who, when he caught it, it tranformed into a long blue staff. She put the earbuds in her ears as she had seen Wally do and it glowed orange for an instant before playing Unstoppable by the Score, Confident by Demi Lovato, and Unstoppable by Sia on loop. Katara just shook her head and listened.
"What is that thing?"
"It's an I-Pod."
"What's an I-Pod?" Wally looked towards Aang.
"You don't know what an I-Pod is?"
"No, should I?"
"Do you even know what an elevator is?" They shook their heads.
"Oh my god, I've traveled to the dark ages." He turned back to Sokka. The League smiled, that was the kind of humor they were used to from Wally.
"Now, do you have anything to say before I kill you?" asked Wally with a demented smile. Sokka saw the glint of a knife for an instant before it was concealed yet again. The Justice League gasped, except for Batman. They couldn't imagine the Wally they knew to carry around a knife with him.
"Save me Katara!"
"No, I don't think so." She beat her head along to the music. The League members watched as Wally picked up Sokka in a hand and tossed him overboard.
"I didn't think you'd actually kill him!" cried Katara.
"Oh relax, he'll live."
"No he won't! We're still a thousand feet above the ground!" Wally dove after Sokka laughing, while Sokka screamed as he saw land get closer. Just as he was sure he was about to die, they were sitting on a platform of clouds. The League's jaws were down to the ground as they saw Wally control the clouds and make a platform out of them.
"What the h***! I could have died!"
"But you didn't, did you! Now come on, Katara and Aang are waiting for us." They elevated and soon made their way onto the saddle again.
"Oh my god, I will never trust you again."
"That's what I like about the modern world, gender equality."
"Did you really just very nearly kill a child?" asked Supes.
"Yes. I actually did erase a few people from existence. Let me tell you, it's a very painful way to die." said their Wally.
"What do you mean?" asked Bats.
"I've died a couple times. That's why I said I was only a few hundred human years old."
"You know, I'm not even surprised anymore." said GL.
The League members were forced out of the memory.
