Chapter 30

The alarm was ringing. It was way too early for Liv, so she turned around and closed her eyes again but Elliot got up and walked to the bathroom. Liv knew she had to get up too, she had to be at the courthouse in a few hours and wanted to go through the files again.

Elliot was already in the kitchen making coffee when she looked for her clothes, but couldn't find her bags.
"Babe? Do you know where the bags I brought from my apartment yesterday, are?" she shouted.

"They are here. Wait, I'll bring them to you." he shouted back. When he entered the room, still wearing nothing but his boxers, with the three bags hanging on his arms she knew what she needed to properly wake up.

She was only wearing a dressing gown over her underwear.

Elliot stopped and looked at her, a bit confused because of the expression on her face. She bit her lower lip and opened her belt, slowly, then she let the gown glide over her shoulders and it fell on the ground. Damn, she was so fucking sexy.

Elliot dropped the bags and walked over to her. He picked her up and started to kiss her neck. He lay her down on the bed and started to kiss her passionately. Liv wanted him so bad right now and she needed to have control, she rolled them over so she was on top.

She could feel his arousal and it made her even more excited. She knew they didn't have a lot of time because they both needed to go to work, so she skipped the foreplay and undressed herself.

Elliot followed her example. She sat down on top of him and when he entered her she moaned with pleasure. She kissed him lovingly before she started to move her hips in circular movements. She knew it made him go crazy when she did this.

She started slowly and sped up her motions soon to make it more enjoyable for both of them.

Elliot was grabbing her ass roughly and it made her go even faster. She was about to come and looked him in the eyes to let him know and she could see that he was right with her. After they both climaxed she slumped down on his chest, breathing heavily.

Elliot wrapped his arms around her and held her close.

"I don't know how or what you are doing but it is out of this world." he said breathlessly. Liv smiled happily. "You aren't too bad yourself." El laughed out loud.

"Thank you. Too nice of you." Liv raised her head and kissed him.

"This was really great and now I am fully awake but I need to take a shower and get dressed now."

She kissed him again and tried to get up but Elliot pulled her back to him. She started to laugh.

"So you are just gonna "use" me like this and leave, or what?" he said playfully hurt.

"I am a busy woman." she said smiling mischievously. "Don't have time for cuddles, Stabler and I got what I needed."

This was too much for him. He got on top of her and pinned her down to the bed. He looked into her eyes and saw the challenging expression.

Just as he was about to start round two, Liv's phone rang. She gave a loud moan of displeasure and he let go of her hands, so she could answer the phone.

"Benson." Liv said exasperated. But her attitude changed immediately.

"Are you sure? She could just be late."

She got up from bed, put on the dressing gown she let fall on the ground a while ago and started to go through the bags from her apartment to get her clothes.

"Okay, I will be there as soon as possible. Bye."

"Shit. Mary ran off. She didn't come to her appointment with Jess and her hotel room is empty. Shit! Shit! Shit!"

She got dressed as fast as she could and left the room. Elliot followed her.

"Where are you going now?" he asked.

"I don't know." but then she stopped. "Wait! I think I know where she is." Elliot looked at her confused but knew it was useless to ask more questions now and she was already on the phone again.

"It's me again. I think I know where she could be. I'll call you when I find her.

I am aware of that, Jess! Let me do my job, alright."

"Call me if you need anything." Elliot said before kissing her goodbye. She smiled at him thankfully and left the apartment.

Gladly she was right. Mary was at the park, watching the kids play. She texted Jess and sat down next to Mary.

After 20 minutes of pep talk, Mary was willing to go meet Jess at court.

Liv was waiting in the hallway for Mary. She promised her that she won't leave her side until the trial was over.

This day started out so nicely but ended up being one of these really exhausting ones. It was only 9.30am and Liv was already ready to call it a day.

The trial went better than expected. The jury unanimously found him guilty. Mary was so thankful to Liv for staying by her side and for encouraging her to testify against him. Jess was thankful too and they decided to "celebrate" their win with a coffee after organizing a ride home for Mary.

"I am sorry for the way I talked to you this morning." Jess said.

"Don't worry. I mean, I told you that she would testify, so you did have every right to get mad."

"But I shouldn't have acted like you didn't know how to do your job." Liv just shrugged.

"It's fine. Really." Jess smiled at her.

"What were you doing when I called you this morning. You seemed pretty annoyed that I called." Liv grinned mischievously.

"Well, let's say you kinda interrupted something." Jess's eyes widened.

"Oh no! Now I feel even worse for being such a bitch. I didn't even know that you were seeing someone.

Oh wait! Is it the lingerie guy?"

"Oh my god, don't call him that!"

Jess ignored her.

"So it's going on for a while now?" Jess asked.

"Mhm."

"How is it possible that I don't know anything about him?"

"We can't really make it official so it would be nice of you if you could stop asking all these questions."

"All these questions? Seriously? I asked one question. ONE!" Jess said indignantly.

"Let's talk about something else." Liv said. Jess looked at her annoyed.

"You know telling me wouldn't make it official. I wouldn't tell anyone but if you don't trust me, fine!"

"I am sorry, okay. I do trust you. It's just… complicated." Liv said apologetically.

Then her phone started to ring.

After the call she said, "I have to go. I am sorry. Please don't be mad."

Jess looked at her and started to smile.

"I know. It's fine. You'll tell me when you're ready. I am not mad, don't worry." Liv smiled at her brightly and hugged her goodbye before leaving.

They caught a new case and Liv was waiting for Elliot to pick her up in front of the courthouse.

"Did you find Mary?" he asked after she got in the car.

"Yes, she was where I expected her to be. We won the trial."

"That's amazing." he said smiling. She smiled back at him.

"So what do you know about the new case?" she asked.

"Not much, they found the naked body of a young girl in the park. Melinda is at the scene right now." Liv sighed.

"Okay, let's go!"

The case was a tough one, so they didn't do anything but work and a bit of sleeping over the next few days.

On the third day, they were finally able to arrest the bastard who raped and killed the poor girl.

Liv fell into her chair exhausted.

"I can't believe we finally got him. I am so ready for a shower and a bed."

Elliot yawned.

"Oh god, me too. I could fall asleep right here right now."

Liv smiled at him caringly when her phone started to ring.

"Benson."

Elliot looked up at her, hoping that it wasn't work related. He really needed some sleep.

"What?" Liv almost shouted. Elliot looked at her concerned.

"I..okay.. wow.. this is just wow. So when can I get my stuff? Okay, thank you. Bye." She threw her phone on her desk and hid her face in her hands.

"What's wrong?" Elliot asked worriedly.

"My apartment is... I can't go back there, I need to move out."

"Oh my god, I'm sorry."

"I can't believe it. I am freaking homeless! This is the perfect timing.

After a week like this I couldn't be happier about having to pack my shit and put it in storage until I find a new apartment. Oh my god!

A new apartment in New York, that's just great." she lay her head down on her desk and let out a deep sigh.

"I know this won't really help but you can stay with me for as long as you want and I can help you with everything."

She smiled and lifted her head to look at him.

"I know and I am really thankful, it's just... Well maybe I just need some sleep." she said with a forced smile.

"Guys, thanks for the great work. Take the weekend off. See you monday morning." the captain said.

"Thanks, cap." Liv said and Elliot nodded approvingly. They packed their stuff and drove to El's apartment.

"Go take a shower first." Elliot said while kissing her temple. She smiled at him.

"You really don't have to be like this. It's your place and I am not sick or something, just homeless." she said sarcastically.

"Go take the fucking shower!" he said demandingly but with a smile. She lifted her arms and said, "Relax. I am going."

She walked towards the bathroom with a smile on her face.

About 10 minutes later she reentered the kitchen in one of his t-shirts. He smiled at the sight of her.

"Hungry?" he asked.

"Starving." she said grinning.

"Give me 5 minutes to take a quick shower, then we can eat."

"Great." she said while plopping down in one of the kitchen chairs.

She had to try really hard not to fall asleep while she was waiting for him.

A few minutes later Elliot reentered the kitchen and saw her fighting sleep.

"Hey babe. Let's go to bed. You are almost asleep anyway." he said caringly.

"Okay." she said walking towards the bedroom. She fell into his bed and was asleep almost immediately. Elliot lay down next to her falling asleep minutes after her.

"Good morning." Liv said, smiling.

"Good morning." Elliot said, smiling back at her.

"What time is it?"

"Almost 9.30am."

"What? Oh my god. I don't know when the last time was that I slept this long."

"Well, I would say we really needed it. This week was crazy and with all the stress you have because of your apartment I am surprised that you're awake already."

"Shit, right. My apartment. I need to go there today to pack my stuff. I guess I have to put it in storage until I find a new place. Oh god, I don't want to live like this. All my stuff in boxes somewhere. Argh."

He moved closer and kissed her cheek gently.

"You know you can store as much stuff as you want here. My home is your home."

"Thank you, El. That's really sweet but I just need a place that feels like home to me, you know what I mean? I feel comfortable here but it is still your home, not mine."

He knew what she meant but he really didn't want her to leave. He wanted her with him all the time.

"I understand." he said. "So what do you think, we start with breakfast and then we go over to your place to pack everything up."

"Breakfast sounds amazing. I am starving." she said grinning.
