Achoo!

"Oh, not again Viki." She said to herself out loud. The field in which she stood, with fork and knife in hand, was not the feast in the castle from whence she came. Viki looked around, the field was vast and awash with vibrant green grass with the odd tree dotted across it. Where am I now?

The thundering hooves of horses caused her turn quickly. The cutlery vanished and a long pale staff appeared in its place. The diamond fixed on top gleamed in the light of the sun. She counted around twenty men on horseback riding towards a grand looking caravan. They don't look too friendly. The soldiers guarding the caravan were few, and one looked too regal to be one of the guards, she thought. I'll help them.

"Blinking Rune," She began channelling the power of her rune to her staff. Closing her eyes, she raised the staff in the air. A huge cloth sack fell a foot from her, luckily, and burst. It startled her and then filled her nose. Pepper. "Oh, no." Before she could activate her spell she sneezed, and vanished in a flashing green light.

Wherever she was now, it stunk. A combination of excrement and rotting meat filled her nostrils, and she wished to have pepper up there instead. Even it did sting. It was pitch black. The diamond on her staff began emitting white light and revealed a small dank cell. A skeleton lay on a sack nearby her and she stumbled back and fell into the cold steel bars.

"Who's there?" A weary voice called out nearby.

Viki stood and brushed herself down. Her flowing white robe was dirtied, which annoyed her greatly. She used her magic to open the lock in the cell and ventured out to find the voice.

"Over here, girl." The voice called out again. Viki swung around and the light revealed a young man with long black hair. He was handsome in the light despite his features being black with dirt. A soiled loincloth was all that covered his scarred and frail looking body.

"Where am I?" Viki asked him. Again, she used her magic to open the lock of his cell. "It stinks in here."

The young man swung the door open and limped out towards her. His smell was almost unbearable. "Thank you," He offered his hand, but Viki did not take it. "I'm sorry, I must look and smell disgusting." He pulled his hand back and look into Viki's green eyes with his. She had seen eyes like that before. "We're in the depths of the One Temple in Harmonia. Can you get me out of here?"

"The One Temple? Well that's just great." She said, annoyed. I'll never get back to the feast at his rate. "Hold on to this." She pointed her staff at him.

"What's your name, girl?" The boy asked, grasping the staff. She ignored him and closed her eyes. Green light danced around them and then both of them vanished in the blink of an eye.
