Life had been good to the Queen of Obel.

As she sat and brushed out the tugs in her long sandy hair, she pondered her life. It had given her two beautiful and healthy children, who she loved immensely. It had also provided her a strong and dependable husband who would do anything for her and their children. Obel was also a beautiful island to reside on and the people adored her.

Life had been good to the Queen of Obel. The Rune of Punishment radiated from the top side of her left hand. Crimson light began filling the room and pain began filling her. The finely crafted whale bone brush fell from her other hand as it reached to grasp the Rune. Please… Not again.

Memories that did not belong to her flashed in her mind once again. Horrible and pain filled memories that always ended in death. Voices would call out to her. They would plead for her to end their misery. "Kill me" they would always plead. Men, woman and even young children.

The room faded from her vision and she stood in a never ending tunnel once again. It was dark but all around her was streaked with crimson and dark purple. A shining light appeared ahead of her and she instinctively walked towards it, but she never got close to it.

A man's voice called out: "Do not follow me." The tone was harsh.

"Excuse me?" The Queen asked but got no reply. She kept walking towards the light.

"I am sorry. The ruins were always a favourite of mine." The voice called out again, sounding more sorrowful.

"Who are you?"

"Please end this."

A shadowed figure appeared in place of the light. They were on their knees with their head bowed. It looked as though they were dressed in a fine garb, but it was devoid of colour. A coral crown was upon their head.

The Queen remembered Lino telling her of the old Kings who wore such crowns. Lino's family had their own crown made when they came into power which was made of gold.

"I cannot help you." She said to him. Sadness filled her when the old King raised his head. His face was void of any emotion. An empty shell. It was always when they raised their head and she saw their faces, she would wake.

Lino stood over her with fear etched into his face. "Are you okay my love?" She smiled at him wearily and stroked his handsome face. "They are getting worse." He helped her to her feet and she felt warm and safe in his bare arms.

"Nothing a good spa won't sort my king. I need to relax." She ran her soft hands through his spikey blonde hair. The Rune still ached, but she hid it well for him. "Where are the kids? Maybe we can all go to Mordo together."

"They are still sleeping." He said, and kissed her forehead. "I will send Setsu to prepare one of the patrol ships for us."

The Queen fell into his sky blue eyes. The ones that their baby boy had inherited.
