Memory Steve stood back as Void Steve paced the room, fuming. He knew better than to get close to Void when he was this mad.
"I can't WAIT to get revenge on that STUPID PLAYER." Void Steve yelled.
"Well, first you have to find him." Memory Steve said sarcastically. He jumped away quickly when Void Steve lunged at him.
"Shut it Memory Steve, or you'll have to worry about something other than my temper." He growled and went back to pacing.
"All I'm saying is that Sabre might not be in the world still. He might not even still be alive. We don't know how much time has passed since we were destroyed. Heck, we don't even know if Galaxy Steve is alive still." Memory Steve reasoned. "Instead of focusing on revenge, why don't we focus on-"
"You don't tell me what I can and can't focus on!" Void Steve spun toward him, glaring.
"Will you let me finish?! Why can't we focus on what happened while we were gone? We can find other steves, hope they're enemies of Sabre, and ask how long it's been." Memory Steve snapped. His eyes widened as he realized that he had just challenged Void Steve. "I didn't mean it like that…"
"Oh, I think you did mean it just like you said." Void Steve grabbed Memory Steve by the collar of his suit, and pulled him closer, so Memory Steve had to look into Void Steve's eyes. "I don't need help from anyone. Much less a minion who thinks he can say and do whatever he likes. Now, you will do what I say, or we'll have some serious consequences. Do you understandme?" Void Steve snarled in Memory Steve's face. A spike of terror went through Memory Steve for a quick moment, giving way to anger.
"No, I don''t think I do." Memory Steve muttered back, defiant.
"What did you just say-?!" Void Steve cut off as a familiar white player in a chicken onesie stumbled out of the bushes out of breath, and then stopped, staring at them.
"Oh jeez…" Sabre gasped, backing away.
"Well, well, well…" Void Steve murmured, letting Memory Steve go, and turning to Sabre with a triumphant expression. Memory Steve fell to the ground, dizzy, and pulled himself away from the two of them.
"Ah, yeah, umm… Hello again Void Steve, long time no see am I right?" Sabre stamered, glancing over his shoulder.
"You know, I'd love to stay and chat-" He was cut off by the sound of lightning.
"I'M GOING TO HUNT YOU DOWN AND TEAR YOU APART SABRE, IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO." A half-glitched voice yelled. Void Steve's eyes widened.
"Who's that?" Void Steve asked, confused. He shook his head. "Doesn't matter. What matters is that you're going to die either way this situation goes!" Void lunged at Sabre, drawing his sword. Sabre cringed away, falling backward with his arms covering his face. Memory leaped forward, and grabbed a stick off the ground, and swung it, hitting Void in the back of the head. He crumpled to the ground, unconscious. Memory backed away, his hands covering his mouth.
"Err.." Sabre stared at Memory Steve. Memory Steve stared back. "Wanna get out of here, and I'll tell you who's chasing me?" Sabre offered awkwardly.
"I'd love to." Memory Steve said. Sabre looked back where he had come, and then got up. He dragged Void underneath a tree, and covered him with leaves. They looked at each other, and took off, away from the lightning.
…
"So, care to tell me what has been going on while I've been gone?" Memory Steve said after covering the dirt hole to their temporary hideout. Sabre placed a torch down so they could see better.
"Well… A lot. Galaxy Steve, and I went on to defeating Origin Steve with Alex… There was an infection, and Galaxy erased himself from the timeline so the steves would be safe. He created Illusion Steve, and then The Guardian, Alex, and I had to stop Illusion. He turned into Reality Steve after absorbing Galaxy, but Galaxy was too annoying for him so he technically surrendered, and left us alone. The Guardian told us the Spirit World was in trouble, so then we went through a portal that Galaxy made, and then I got sent by myself to a world with a Virus on it, and when I was able to get back to this world, I came back to find I didn't know most of the steves and alexes I've met so far… and there are actually some steves that were in the Spirit world, that are now back. So that's confusing. That's pretty much it." Sabre finished.
"Wow." Memory Steve said slowly. "So… what about the thing chasing you?" Sabre looked annoyed.
"That was Lapse Steve. According to a Blue Steve when I visited the Spirit World a few days ago, Lapse Steve isn't a new steve like I first thought he was. Blue Steve introduced me to another steve, called Razor Steve. Apparently Lapse Steve killed him before his siblings were able to trap him in ice… unil now. He warned me about what he remembered Lapse could do. One reason why I'm actually pretty terrified of him is that… I'm actually in the game now. I'm technically no longer a player. And one of the things Lapse does to others is…" He trailed off.
"What?" Memory asked, curious. What can so bad about another evil steve? Sabre's beaten a lot of them… why's he scared of this one? Memory thought to himself.
"He.. he has fangs… He's literally like a vampire- wait, you wouldn't now what that is… um… You know what, he's the Big bad wolf, we're two of the 3 little pigs!" Sabre burst out, frustrated.
"... What?" Memory asked, still confused.
"I mean, Lapse is the wolf, we're the sheep." Sabre corrected himself. A shiver ran down Memory's spine.
"You mean, he's going to EAT US?" Memory Steve moaned, leaning against the wall, and slumping to the ground.
"Err.. yeah, that's pretty much what Razor Steve told me." Sabre said, apologetic.
"Well, this is going to be a fun ride." Memory said sarcastically. Sabre smiled weakly, and did a small drumroll.
"Chief, get ready to get rekt."
