Yo, what's up? So I decided to rewrite this one shot. Honestly, I didn't want to change a whole lot. I like the plot it had taken and the idea behind it. So the only thing I changed was the way I worded stuff. This is 191 longer than the original, not including the author notes. I posted this as it's own chapter to leave the other alone.

The air was filled with the loud coughing and groans that emanated from the room of the Bloody Twins. Inside both boys were laying on Dee's bed, looking worse than when they get covered in blood. Both of their eyes were puffy and red, looking as if they had spent some time crying. Their skin was pale and sweaty, their pajamas stickily glued to their bodies. Their faces were equally as sweaty but flushed a dark pink color and hot to the touch. Both were suffering the symptoms of the flue.

No one inside Hatter Mansion was surprised that the twins had gotten sick and most didn't care. In fact, though the servants dared not say it out loud, most felt they deserved it. Looking for poisonous mushrooms in a storm, against all advice otherwise, was extremely stupid of them. Especially when all the boys were wearing were their gate keeper uniforms. It was their own fault that they got sick. Even if they were only kids, be it murderous kids, they should have been smart enough to put on a jacket.

Worst of all, the twins refused to let any of the faceless servants take care of them. Fortunately for said servants, the brothers were feeling too sick to kill them. So they instead threatened the worst kind of torture on the first three maids that tried to enter their room with medicine. Not even the Hatter Mansion doctor could enter the room without getting a promised death threat. The only person Dee and Dum would allow in their room and wanted to nurse them back to health was Alice.

It had been a while since Alice Liddell had been living at the Hatter Mansion. In return for Blood's allowance for her to stay, she liked to help in any way possible. Blood himself didn't care if Alice lived with him for free but, since the girl was insistent on lending a hand, he entertained the idea. Besides, the mafia boss couldn't deny that he liked the way the maid outfit looked on her. So Alice worked part time as one of the maids, an errand girl and, as of this moment, a nurse for the twins.

Elliot hated the idea of Alice helping the twins, for more than one reason. For one thing, like many others, the second in command believed the brothers deserved to suffer. Punishment for being such idiots in the first place. Another reason Elliot was objective of Alice helping them was he didn't want them to recover so quickly. Even though Blood had to pay a couple of Faceless men to take over gate keeping duties until the twins got better, things were far quieter and easier for the rabbit. The biggest reason, however, was because Elliot didn't want the twins getting Alice sick.

"Big sister, my through hurts." Dum groaned hoarsely, wincing as he took a hold of his throat. Dee whimpered in agreement and let out a rough cough.

"Mine too, big sister." The red eyed twin whined as he rubbed his own, sore, throat. Alice, with her hands on her hips, stared down at the twins with a scolding look on her face.

It was true, both boys looked horrible. Alice had never seen them so sick before. She didn't even know anyone could get this sick in Wonderland. Not with how fast everyone recovers from injuries. Then again, sickness is different from injury and Nightmare himself admitted to being sickly. Regardless, as much as Alice felt sorry for Dee and Dum, she knew this was the consequence of playing in the rain unprotected.

"You brought this upon yourselves. Now saw ah." The girl commanded as she pulled a spoon and a bottle of medicine from her dress pocket. Watching the brown bottle be opened and slimy, green medicine be placed on the spoon, the eyes of both brothers widened fearfully.

"That stuff is gross big, sister!" Dee cried before dramatically covering his mouth when Alice came near him. She sighed softly and turned to Dum, seeing he was doing the same thing.

"Please don't make us drink that stuff." He begged behind his hand, his red eyes watery. Although, be it from the fever or him trying to give her the puppy eyes, was hard to tell. Either way it caused Alice to sigh once again.

Even though Dee and Dum were known as the deadliest and bloodiest kids throughout all of Wonderland, they were still just kids. Even when they were killing people it was easy to see they were still just young boys. Both liked playing games such as Kill or Die and Tag with the castle guards and any other Hatter enemies. The brothers also got easily bored and distracted by just about anything; much to the annoyance of Elliot. Even now they were showing typical, childlike fear to medicine. Nightmare was the same but at least Dee and Dum were children.

"Come on, Dee, Dum. If you don't take your medicine how do you expect to get any better?" Alice asked, standing in between the twins' beds. Neither boy removed their hands from their months but the girl could still see the smiles that formed behind them.

"Easy. We just need you to stay with us." Dee answered cheerfully, before going off into another coughing fit. Alice stared at the boys in confusion and Dum giggled sorely, echoing his brother's cough.

"Totally! You just being here with us is already making us feel better." The red eyed twin agreed cheerfully. Or as cheerful as he could with his body feeling like shit.

Alice sighed as if defeated but couldn't help but smile. The twins were just too adorable to stay mad at, even when sick. She loved them like a big sister and often wished they'd be less reckless with their lives. At the moment Alice just wished they wouldn't be so stubborn and take their medicine. After all, she wanted them to get better as soon as possible. She knew how boring it could be being stuck in bed all day and, for that, Alice pitied them.

"That's sweet of you, but you really need to take your medicine. I want you to get better as fast as you can. How can you do that without medicine?" She tried to reason, once again holding out the spoon, determined to force it in the mouth of the twin who moved his hands first. The twins looked at each other, secret smiles taking over their faces, before looking back at Alice and removed their hands from their mouths.

"Big sister, if you really want to help us get better," Dum started, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as he and his brother shared another look. Dee smirked and nodded in understanding before both boys leaned towards Alice.

"Then lay in bed with us, we want to cuddle." Dee continued as he suddenly grabbed at Alice's left arm. Startled by the action, Alice dropped both the spoon and medicine on the floor.

"B-b-but you'll get m-me s-sick!" Alice stuttered, feeling her face heat up until it was as read as the sick twins. Before she could attempt to pull away, Dum reached over and grabbed her other arm; helping his brother pull Alice between the two of them.

"That's fine." He hummed happily as he snuggled into the girl's right side. Dee sighed contently as he rested his head on Alice's left shoulder, tilting it so he could look up at her face.

"Totally. If you get sick, we'll take care of you. Right, brother?" He asked, happily pushing his face into Alice's heated neck. Dum chuckled horsely and rubbed his head against the the girl's arm in a nod.

"Right, brother. We'll take really good care of Big sis because she takes really good care of us." He agreed sleepily, unable to keep back a yawn as his red eyes slowly closed. Dee mirrored his twin's movements and the two quickly fell asleep.

As th two fell into a deep sleep, Alice's blush and embarrassment continued to grow. In retrospect, she probably should have expected something like this to happen. It wasn't the first time the twins insisted on sharing the same bed. Sometimes they'd even sneak into Alice's room and she'd find them with her when she woke up. Though it didn't make it any less embarrassing, it was actually kind of cute. After all, the twins really did love their big sister.

As she felt herself calm down, and her blush die in relation, Alice sighed contently. She smiled lovingly as she gazed at the sleeping bothers, feeling her heart melt.

'What am I going to do with them?' She thought, feeling a wave of peace run through her body. Despite the awkward position she found herself in, Alice allowed the twins to sleep and decided to worry about the stain the medicine she dropped caused later.

By the way, for those that didn't read the note in Was it a Mistake, I created a new story folder for one shots, story updates and author notes. It is simply called Randomized because it's a collection of many different fandoms

any spelling errors i either missed or spell check changed it to something without me realizing it
