"Being jealous of all the women who desire you would be a full time job." Amira complimented walking along beside Wallace in a tiny t-shirt and some yoga pants.

They were returning from their afternoon jog along the beach and her teasing expression was referring to the ball bunnies who had joined them for the last mile. They had been trying to pry information about rumours that Veronica's dad was about to be reinstated as Sheriff and where he stood on keggers before Hearst hosted the beach party with the rival team from San Diego State in a few days.

Any excuse to get some space from his roommate and his Podcast editing and Parker's gossiping over Mac and Dick succumbing to the Lurve Force Mojo. The woman was plotting bridesmaid colors if the two settled down into wedded bliss.

Switching gears wasn't something Wallace could manage as quickly as the bubbly blonde. Wasn't his Star Wars obsessed friend fleeing from Dick Casablanca's just yesterday?

Wasn't his Star Wars obsessed friend fleeing from Dick Casablanca's just yesterday?

A girl like Mac deserved more than some 09er who treated women not at their social level like pump and dump playtoys. The thought of her getting hurt tore at his nerve-endings like a machete.

Another Neptune Prince had spoken and the ovary wielding population bowed and scraped. He looked at Mac with the same alpha male gleam in his eye that Logan had when he watched Veronica.

Why couldn't they just date nice safe boring guys like Piz?

"The lurve mojo force is strong and it isn't a crime to give into it." Wallace joked doing his best impression of Parker.

His legs felt like they were filled with lead as he stopped near a food truck parked next to the campus and purchased two bottles of water.

"I don't understand what it is about Frat Bros that instantly turns girls into wet noodles." Amira said with a soft laugh.

"So.. Triple Date Night?" Wallace asked tentatively. His dark gaze fixed on the olive-skinned beauty stretching beside him.

Piz and Parker had already agreed for some platonic fun.

Each movement was fluid and graceful, pure poetry in motion. Distracting...

"It's not to late to change your mind." Wallace assured her.

He'd mentioned the text from Veronica about joining a double, triple, potentially quadruple date now that the pre-med finals craziness had finished.

"Anything but Indian food!" Amira pleaded as she caught her breath back.

"How can you say that? I love me a little something spicy.." he joked, pulling her in for a kiss.

"That's such a stereotype." Amira playfully scolded. "You… haven't had to live off of leftovers from your families' restaurant almost every night since you were 8 years old" she teased.

"I'd gladly finish off those leftovers for you…" he joked and wrapped his arms around her.

"All I heard was you would finish me off-" Amira slotted in dulcetly.

"I would eat all you're delectable dishes..." Wallace continued glad that she couldn't see him blush, his fingers soft and possessive on her shirt.

"That... sounds like a meet the parents trap... I told you… after the whole Nasir debacle they are a little on edge.. the community can be a little unforgiving sometimes" she said sadly.

"Hey it's okay.. just as long as you aren't ashamed of me" he chuckled.

"Ashamed? No way… I am dating Wallace Fennell… Basketball Prince of Hearst" she said in a black velvet purr as she pulled him in closer and kissed him.

"Careful, a bomb won't even be enough to deflate the ego you're giving me." He joked.

"Oh-that's you're ego huh?" she smiled.

"I am never going to get any studying done if I keep doing this with you" he sighed.

"I am totally up for spending some time getting to know your friends" she agreed as they walked back into his dorm room. "BUT! I'm still not ready to meet your mom. I've met Veronica... her dad sounds intense."

"Nah-hes practically a S'more." Wallace joked.

"I thought he was a Sheriff?" Amira asked, crinkling her nose adorably in confusion.

"Yeah- but Veronica's a marshmallow..." he explained.

"Huh?"
