"Why aren't you excited? I thought you'd be more excited," Flynn frowned with concern.

"Maybe he's so stunned with excitement that he looks like that," Lance suggested.

Varian shook his head, suddenly grabbing the crown.

"Woah! Careful, that thing's expensive! And hard to come by," Rider added.

"You stole a crown? You stole from Royalty? The whole Kingdom of Corona will be onto us!" Varian cried.

"How did you know this was a Coronan crown?"

"I-I spent a lot of time there, remember? I know a Coronan design when I see one," Varian answered quickly, covering up his little slip up. He did not want word to get out that he was the Missing Prince of Corona (the unofficial, no one knows about, punching bag of the king).

"Sharp eye, kid," Rider replied as he took the crown back. "Don't worry, me and Lance stole from the Kingdom of Equis before. Look at us! Besides, you weren't a part of the thievery."

"Yes, well, Corona and Equis are two entirely different kingdoms. Equis doesn't have the brains behind the authorities, so I'm sure a child could get away with stealing from the Royalty of Equis if they can get in and out of the castle without veing caught. Corona is different. You offend the king, he will hunt you down until the end of either one of your days. And you have offended him by stealing his daughter's crown, and offending King Fredric through his daughter is the worst choice you ever made."

"How did you know that it was the pirincess's crown?" Lance asked, somewhat uneased.

"That's besides the point!" Varian sighed as he ran a hand over his face. "If the king knows it's you two, you are open game for a hunt. And I'm with you so if they find you, they find me."

"Kid, do you have a past with Corona?" Rider frowned. "With the Royal family? Because you know an awful lot..."

"Ok, yeah, I do I have spent three years trying to remain out of Fredric's clutches. Now you've lead them to me, because I know that tthey're on your trail, and they're going to be asking questions. Now I'm going to be mentioned because im with you two."

"Woah, waht did you do to get on the King's bad side?" Flynn inquired.

Varian sighed. "You know what?" he snapped. "It doesn't matter! Let's just finish your business with the Baron and go." He turned around, but Flynn grabbed his arm.

"Look, kid," he began sternly. Varian looked at him, slightly surprised, for he had never used this tone with him before. "We didn't know you had a history with Corona, so you have no reason to talk like that."

Varian pulled his arm away from Rider. "Don't touch me!"

"Kid-"

"Stop calling me that!"

"Then stop acting like one!"

"Like you acted any better," Varian huffed.

"He's right, you did. You were a snappy teenager... you're still a little snappy," Lance said.

"Shut up, Lance," Flynn muttered in annoyance.

"I rest my case," Lance said. "You're a hypocrite, Rider."

"Ok, fine! You got me there," Rider groaned.

"Why don't we all take a deep breath. We're just a little stressed about this situation, but we all have been in tight spots before, right? We'll kick this in the ass like everything else, ok?"

"Yeah..." Rider said.

Varian sighed and rubbed his neck. "Ok, yeah, I got a little tense there..."

"A little?" Rider folded his arms and raised a brow.

Varian casted the man a glare. "Don't push it."
