"Wouldn't it be easier to just go through the Workshop?" Curtis questioned the father of Christmas as he huffed and panted after a bumpy flight back to the North Pole. Tooth Fairy had dropped them off on the balcony in Santa's office. Scott thanked Tooth Fairy for his help as they said good-bye.
"No," Scott argued. "The Toy Santa and his soldiers will be expecting that! Listen, sound military strategy calls for taking the enemy by surprise! It's a good strategy!"
However, just as they opened the doors to the workshop, three toy soldiers were outside waiting for them. Scott tried closing the door, but the soldiers were too fast and they captured them. Toy Santa commanded them to be tied up as he trapped the elves in the Pantograph room using a sock monkey as some sort of lock.
"It's SCOTT, isn't it?" Toy Santa yelled in Scott's face as he held the coat tight in his plastic fingers.
"Yeah." Scott replied. "And what are you supposed to be?"
"A better, stronger version of what you used to be!" The toy tyrant chuckled. "With a flawless complexion, I might add. Look, it just glistens."
"Listen to me! I'm back now," Scott tried to reason with the clone. "So untie us, let the elves go and give me back the coat."
"Hmmmm...NO CAN DO! It's Christmas Eve! I have coal to deliver!" The clone bellowed. "I don't want those naughty kids to suffer!" With that, Toy Santa marched away with his tin soldiers following him.
"This is all my fault." Curtis sighed now that they were alone. "I thought I could create another Santa. My elfin pride blinded me to all reason. There's only one Santa." He said, looking over his shoulder.
"Well, I've done a pretty rotten job," Scott sighed sadly. I didn't check the list twice. My son thinks I betrayed him while my daughter has been the only one who never gave up on me. I hurt the woman I love. I ruined Christmas."
Scott and Curtis sighed again as snow flakes drifted down from the ceiling. Curious, Curtis and Scott looked up to see Charlie and Ella rappelling down towards them.
"Charlie! Ella!" Their father smiled. "How did you two get here?" Without a word, Charlie and Ella flashed their dad winning smiles. Both of their front molars are missing. Apparently, the siblings learned some tricks to pulling teeth out. They got right to work, with Charlie untying the father of Christmas and Ella with Curtis. At the same time, the Tooth Fairy landed with Carol in his arms.
"Scott!" She called out to him. He turned around, and she hugged him. "I got to fly in with the Tooth Fairy!" She remarked excitedly.
Scott grinned and hugged her back. "Are you okay?" She nodded.
"Brush between meals and don't forget to floss," Tooth Fairy reminded the siblings, then to Scott, he said about Carol, "She has a beautiful smile. And if anybody cares, I'm exhausted."
"Thank you for everything, my friend," Santa said, shaking Tooth Fairy's hand.
"No, thank you!" The Tooth Fairy insisted. "For I am, the Molarnator!" With a quick flutter of his wings and full of confidence, Tooth Fairy flew away through the roof window.
Once the fivesome freed the elves, they gave chase to catch Toy Santa, who is now wearing the real Santa's coat and with the sleigh full of coal, but he quickly escaped once he flew out of the reindeer stables.
Bernard shook his head at the sight, but now with the real Santa back, there is a way Christmas can be saved. He turned and then put two of his fingers in his mouth and whistled loudly. The baby reindeer, Chet, came barreling out of the stables when he heard Bernard's whistle just as the elves moved away quickly. Scott tried to persuade Chet to slow down as he caught him at the runway, but was knocked down to the ground. Carol, Bernard, and Curtis helped Santa to his feet and mounted Chet.
"Okay, Chet, this is it," Bernard encouraged. "You ready to rock and roll?"
The baby reindeer giggled as Carol asked, "Chet?"
"Yeah. He's still in training," Bernard answered.
"Has he had much flight time?" Santa asked.
"About a minute and a half," the Head Elf replied.
Curtis put his own two cents in. "Hey, he's had a lot of crash time!"
"Curtis...!" Santa warned.
"He's just a baby," Curtis added once more.
"All right. Ready to go, buddy?" Scott said as he pulled on the reins. "You know what we gotta do!"
As Chet and Scott took off, Bernard, Charlie, Ella, and Curtis led the elves outside to fight the toy soldiers. The soldiers were pelted with snowballs, taken apart by the toy car elves, pummeled to the ground by snowmobiles thanks to Bernard and Rudy, and some of the elves sprayed them with silly string with help from Charlie, Ella, and Curtis. Carol at one point used her "look into my eyes" trick on a group of soldiers, who became frightened and started shaking as they tried to march away.
Once the soldiers had been defeated, the Calvin family, elves, and Carol watched as Scott battled the fake Santa. With help from Chet, Scott managed to jump onto Dasher's back and lead the reindeer back down to the workshop. Now, Scott was trying to reach the front of the sleigh first by jumping onto each reindeer's back.
"What the heck are you doin' up there? I can't see where I'm driving!" Toy Santa yelled. Scott ignored him and kept going by jumping on Prancer's back.
"YOU ARE A SAD, STRANGE LITTLE MAN!" Toy Santa taunted as Scott kept going once more by carefully walking on the rigging. "You're gonna fall...I hope!" Scott still ignored the impostor's taunts and reached the front of the sleigh at last. "Can I help you?"
"Honey, I'm home!" Scott yelled as he made a jump for the driver's seat on the sleigh. Toy Santa tugged on the reins, which made Scott fly through the air and then grabbed a bar attached to the tail.
"Loser!" Toy Santa bellowed and tugged the reins again making the sleighs fly upward. What the toy didn't know was that Scott managed to hoist himself up and sat right next to him. They fought over the coat, boots, and control of the sleigh until the reins slipped away and the sleigh started to fall back onto the ground.
"Oh, well," Toy Santa chuckled sarcastically. "The town'll break the fall."
The sleigh then slid right into the center of town breaking the staircase to the main workshop. Toy Santa flew up into the air and landed at the bottom of the staircase just as all of the elves ran up and started tackling him so he wouldn't get up.
"Get off of me!" Toy Santa yelled at the elves. "Now remember, rules are very, very important! I want hot chocolate."
Scott walked up to him and said to the elves,"Hey, guys, back up. I've got a special place for him."
