I'm sorry it's been so long. I've had a busy few months. Wrote a few smut stories and one shots, did a collaboration, ended a few long time stories. It's been a time.

Also, the results of the poll are Yes for babies. I've decided to end this story when Kai and Caity's babies are 1 year old.

Chapter 10

Caity

Kai told us about the Omega he met. Apparently she ate his sandwich. And she was pretty. Owen asked where he had met her and Kai said outside. Owen groaned. We looked at him. He explained that Kai probably met a stray. That was a week ago. The doctor decided there was nothing else he could do so I was allowed to go home.

"Adri, cuddle…" I whined, making grabby hands.

"Again? We already did it twice this morning." Adri got up.

"Adri!" I pouted.

"I'm making breakfast." She left.

I laid in bed. "Kai, come!"

He bounded in, tail wagging.

"Smoosh!" I demanded.

Kai jumped on the bed and laid on me. He smiled widely. I let him scent me. Kai made happy noises. The sweet buzz of his scent made me relax. I petted his sides. Adri called us for breakfast. We walked out. She looked at me disapprovingly. I couldn't explain it. Sometimes, it felt like my body was going to crawl out of my skin if I didn't get something.

"We go park?" Kai asked.

"Yes, we'll go look tonight." I told him.

His tail wagged. Truthfully, I didn't think we would find her. There were lot of places for a fox to hide. We spent the morning practicing Kai's reading and writing. He didn't like it, but it was important. Then we played with his rope. Kai barked and yipped. Adri told him to be quiet. He barked softer. She sighed. Lunch was leftovers. Then we got ready to go to the park. I packed his toys and some snacks.

It was a Wednesday so it was less crowded. Kai darted around the park, trying to pick up her scent. He said she smelt like lemon blossom and steel. I got him to stop running around, playing tug-o-war. He yipped. We looked and played for a good while until evening.

"Kai, Kai, where'd you go? It's time to go home." I yelled.

"We should make him carry his phone. And wear pants." Adri said.

I heard some howls and barks. Following it, I was taken to a shallow den. Across the entry way, there was a nest. A stray fox was barking at Kai. Her torso was white. She was blond and had yellow fur. Her toes were white. She had a mole on left cheek. She watched us with her turquoise eyes.

"Mistress, I found Caity!" Kai looked at me.

I sighed deeply. "Leave her alone, Kai."

"Ok." He nodded.

Caity sniffed the air. She slowly stepped out and sniffed me. I let her. She was more cautious with Adri, but she seemed to be ok with her.

"Hello, Mistress." Caity's ears relaxed.

"Maybe he'll behave during ruts now." Adri said.

"Come home with us!" Kai barked.

"Home?" She tilted her head.

"Yeah!" His tail wagged.

"Kai." Adri scolded.

"Caity, you don't have to but we can give you a bath and din din." I told her.

"You don't has to hunt for foods." He added.

Caity thought for a bit and decided. She grabbed everything from her den and we brought it to the car. Caity was little hesitant to get in, but Kai showed her it was ok. We got home without a problem. I got out Kai's flea shampoo and I gave Caity a bath. She was well behaved.

After I dried her off, we went to the living room. Kai tore apart his nest and re-scented everything. Caity sniffed around. We let them be and started dinner. I made the sauce for the chicken while Adri unpacked Caity's stuff. It got suspiciously quiet.

"Kai? Caity?" I called.

I turned and saw my bedroom door was open. I set my spoon down. I walked over, looking in. Caity was pulling the sheets off my bed. Kai tried to take one of my blankets. She snapped at him. He whined.

"Hey, out of my room!" I pointed.

"My nest!" Caity said.

"No, you have your own blankies." I opened the bag.

"Mine." She insisted, rubbed her scent glands on my comforter. "Dis mine."

"Caity, I'll scent your blankies tomorrow. Ok? We need blankies too." I said.

Caity thought and dragged the comforter out with her. Kai tried to take one too, but I stopped him. He pouted. I pushed him out before he could jump on my bed. We had dinner. Caity ate her food quickly and then went to bed. Kai asked for dessert.

"We should call you dad." Adri said.

"Ok." I got out my phone.

It rang for a minute.

"Hello?" Owen asked.

"Hi, it's me. We found the fox Kai was looking for. Her name is Caity." I told him.

"Really?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I guess she had a den in the park." I shrugged.

"Bring her here and we'll have the vet check her out. Talia, do you feel alright?" He asked.

"Huh, yeah. Same as the last time you asked." I hummed, scratching Kai's ear.

"We don't want you to feel bad." Dad said softly.

"I'm fine." I repeated.

"We'll have lessons later. I'll let the new fox adjust to your apartment." He said.

"Ok." I nodded.

"Good night, Talia." Owen hung up.

"What'd he say?" Adri asked.

"We'll bring her over and take her to the vet." I put my phone down.

We went to bed. In the morning, I awoke to the sound of two foxes fighting. I got up. The fridge was open. Caity crouched over the carton of eggs. Some of them were broken and the yokes and whites made puddles on the floor. Kai tried to take it back, using his hand to scoop it out of her grasp.

"Hey, hey. That's enough. Caity, you don't get to eat all the eggs. Kai, come get me next time." I took the eggs away, tossing out the broken ones.

"Mine!" Caity barked.

"No, mine. I'll give you breakfast." I put them back.

"Breakfast?" She asked.

"Din din!" Kai's butt wiggled.

I made us an apple pancake. Caity was curious about what I was doing and tried to eat everything. I maneuvered around her fluffy butt and gave her the apple peel. She went to the couch. Kai sniffed the air near her. She snapped at him. He whimpered. Adri came out. Kai went to her and marked her. She smiled.

"Hey, Kai." She petted his head.

"Adri!" He cooed.

"What you making?" Adri asked me.

"Apple pancake." I answered.

"How much longer?" She peered at the timer.

"15 minutes." I said.

"That's forever!" Kai howled.

"Kai, shush!" Adri scolded.

He whimpered. Caity got off the couch and nuzzled him. Kai was delighted to have her interact with him. He let out a pleased scent. Caity liked it and let out her own. It was lemony and also raspberry-ish. It was good smell. Adri awed.

We played with them. I threw a ball for Kai. He skittered across the floor. Caity liked the rope. She pulled on it while Adri shook it. She yipped as Adri let go. Then she put it in her nest. The oven beeped. I got the apple pancake out. I had Kai set the table. I poured some milk for us and juice for the foxes. Caity sat at the table.

"Careful, it's still hot." I told her.

Caity took a small nibble with her mouth. Adri showed her how to use a fork. Kai ate happily. Breakfast took a bit, but then we got done. We cleaned up and went to the castle. Caity barked in surprise. Owen and David were waiting for us.

"Stranger! Mistress, it's a stranger!" Caity stood in front of us.

"Caity, those are my parents." I told her.

She tilted her head. "But they human."

"I'll explain later, but they are my parents." I said.

They let her sniff their hands. Her tail wagged slowly. Owen petted her ears. She smiled. Kai wanted pets too and plopped in front of David. He smiled and scratched his head. Kai flopped on the floor, wanting a tummy rub. He sighed and bent down. Kai barked.

"Caity, do you know what a vet is?" Owen asked.

"Yeah." She nodded. "Why, we go vet now?"

"Yes." He nodded.

"Ok." She waited.

"Come along, Talia." Owen told me.

We went to the elevator and drove to the vet's office. It was crowded with owners and Pets in the waiting room. Owen checked us in. Caity and I sat in one of the chairs. They were plastic. Caity picked up one of the magazines. Then she shook it.

"Hey, no shaking. That's not a toy." I grabbed it.

"Mine." She pulled on it.

It ripped. Caity played with her half of the magazine. Dad came back and he sat next to us. A tabby sniffed at Caity. She barked at it. The cat hissed and ran away. He quietly told her to behave. She nodded and leaned over for pets. He rubbed her ears.

Ten minutes later, we were called back. We followed the technician. The room was large with light brown walls. Caity jumped onto the exam table. They picked her up and set her on a scale. Then they measured her. We were asked a few questions, but when it became clear she was a stray, they didn't bother. They drew her blood. Then the vet came in and looked Caity over. She poked and prodded. Caity barked at her a few times. They did something in her mouth. She was given some shots then it was over.

"Mistress, I have to pee." Caity told me.

"I will talk to the vet. You take her to the bathroom." Owen said.

I did. We waited in the lobby for him. He came out a few minutes later.

"Caity does not have any diseases. The vet said she needs more meat and vitamins. Also, she had a tooth filled." Owen told me.

"Great." I said.

We went back home and Alex and Kai were waiting for us. Caity barreled past Kai to scent mark Alex. He giggled. Kai padded over to me and I gave him some scratches. His tail thumped on the floor. Adri smiled. Fox came in.

"Why don't you stay for dinner?" She asked.

"Ok." I nodded.
