It's been two years since the attack on New York. Steve and Freya have moved to DC and now work along side the S.T.R.I.K.E. Team, with the intermittent help of Natasha.
After becoming not only partners, but roommates, they've grown extremely close. The bond that they've formed has created a telepathic link between them. With Steve's help, Freya has gotten control over her newest ability, helping her practice to strengthen that power.
During their predicament in 2012, Steve realized that Freya was becoming an important person to him. Over the last two years, he's come to realize how important she truly is. His feelings for her growing beyond those of a best friend. She reminds him of Peggy, but is also completely different at the same time. Thinking that she only sees him as a best friend, he is afraid to express his true feelings.
Freya's feelings for him have grown in the same way Steve's has. She sees him as someone she can undoubtedly depend on and trust completely. After two years have gone by, she realizes that she's, without a doubt, deeply in love with the Star-Spangled Man With A Plan. She's afraid to show it, though. With the things she's done for S.H.I.E.L.D. in the past and who her birth father is, she thinks she isn't good enough for him.
Will they finally tell each other how they feel, or will a new, yet old, threat get in the way?
