Mara strode along the path to the Silent Tower, hoping that the Magic Council's words would be of much use. All she could think of was the Minotaur. She remembered a couple of the scouts mentioning that he wielded a giant axe. Just the thought alone was enough to make the water mage shiver.

Mara finally made it to the Silent Tower when she noticed one of the scouts waving to her. She recognized both of them and continued forward.

"You've returned!" one of the scouts shouted in shock. "What brings you back to our glorious chambers?"

"I need more information on the Minotaur," answered Mara in a serious tone. "I want to take that beast down."

"All by yourself? That's crazy!" the other scout cried. "You'll never beat him on your own!"

"Unless I exploit his weaknesses," Mara responded sharply.

The two scouts stared at each other in shock for a brief moment, then gazed back at Mara and changed their facial expressions. "Very well," the scouts nodded. "Allow us to escort you to our lobby."

Mara nodded and followed the scouts up the set of ramps in front of the Silent Tower. Once they made it to the lobby, the scouts pointed across the room. "The commissioner is on the other side of this room," the scouts stated. "He has all sorts of information which may prove to be useful."

The water mage thanked the scouts and bowed before approaching the commissioner. "Now who might you be?" the commissioner asked as he noticed the tall woman approaching him.

"Mara Stone," answered the woman. "I need to know about the Minotaur's weaknesses."

"So, you wish to slay the beast?" the commissioner sighed. "I have all the information you need." He reached over to the bookshelf behind him and pulled out a book with information about the Minotaur inside. He handed the book to Mara and stated, "This book may be read a thousand times, but it is to never leave the tower."

"I understand," Mara nodded. She proceeded to sit down at a nearby table and began reading the book. She wrote a bunch of notes on her MagiSlab and hoped that whatever she read could be used against the Minotaur.

A moment later, she stumbled upon some text that jumped out at her. The book read, "The best way to beat the Minotaur is often above his head. He may be incredibly powerful, but he cannot reach the highest of places." Mara was confused about this citation, but she wrote it down anyway.

After many hours of reading and taking notes, Mara returned the book to the commissioner. "I hope you found some useful tips," the commissioner smiled.

"I'm sure it'll come in handy soon," answered Mara. She did indeed learn some useful information. It was with this book that she also found out that the Minotaur's axe was known as the Vastira.

"If you can bring this beast to justice," the commissioner continued, "the world will surely know about you and hold you in high regard."

Mara thanked the commissioner and bowed before leaving the Silent Tower. She was stopped at the entrance by the two scouts from before. "Are you sure you want to fight that guy?" they questioned with concerned voices.

Mara turned around and looked at the scouts. "Someone has to do something about him," she answered. "If he continues his rampage, all of Magius will be lost." She waved behind her and continued down the path leading outside of the Silent Tower.

She looked down at her map to find the Bronze Grasslands. She remembered that the Minotaur often liked to hang out there. She walked for a while until she noticed that the sun had set. The water mage checked her surroundings to make sure that no criminals were nearby and set up camp for the night. She made some soup with some broth that she carried around since her encounter with Peter Rust. After dinner, she retired into her tent and slipped into her sleeping bag.
