The Minotaur began throwing the Vastira in Mara's direction. "Get down here, lady!" he bellowed. "This is not the time to escape your doom!" Mara knew that she would end up in this situation, but she had to think of a way to defeat him.

The water mage's heart and mind were racing as she dodged the oncoming axe throws. She suddenly remembered the notes she took while reading that book about the Minotaur. She tried to piece together what she learned whilst dodging the big brute's attacks.

Mara noticed the Minotaur raise his axe as to strike the ground with it and saw this as an opportunity to attack. She drew her sword and bolted toward him. The Minotaur noticed the water mage rushing toward him and kicked her across the open field.

Mara quickly got back on her feet and prepared another attempt to strike until she saw the beast charging toward her. She tried to dodge the attack, but she was sent flying into the side of the mountain. She fell to the floor, all bruised and bloody. She felt weak and hopeless.

"What's the matter?" jeered the Minotaur. "Can't stand your ground?"

"I can't let you hurt anymore innocent people," Mara whimpered as she struggled to get up.

"You may as well give up now," growled the Minotaur. "You can never hope to defeat me, Mara Stone."

Mara donned a horrified expression as she heard her own name spilling out of the brute's mouth. "H-How did you-"

"I know all about you, Mara," the Minotaur interrupted. "I've watched you from afar. I know your weaknesses. I know you strive for world peace, and I especially know about your greatest fear."

"But, why?" the water mage whimpered with tears trickling down her face.

"You're just like all the other do-gooders," the beast continued. "You care too much about everyone else and not about what you could have. You're a pathetic mage."

"Stop it!" Mara cried. "I don't want to hear anymore from you!"

"Then allow me to silence you forever," the Minotaur grunted. He raised his axe and prepared to strike the side of the mountain. Mara jumped high in the air as the brute swung his axe into the side of the mountain.

Mara made it to the top and noticed the brute struggling to remove his Vastira from the side of the mountain. Then, all of a sudden, she figured out how to defeat the Minotaur. She recalled that the book pointed out the Minotaur's flaws. It stated that he was incredibly powerful but could not reach the highest of places.

Once Mara realized that she had the high ground, she began casting her water spells. The Minotaur had finally gotten his axe out of the side of the mountain when he looked up and saw a bunch of Aqua Shots raining down upon him. The spells were powerful enough to damage him.

The water mage continued pelting the beast with water spells until he fell to the ground. Mara jumped down to make sure the Minotaur was unconscious before sending him to the Silent Tower. He didn't move a muscle. Mara began typing on her MagiSlab until she heard a low growl. She turned around and noticed the Minotaur rising on his feet.

"You'll regret that!" chanted the brute. Mara ran toward Whispering Forest, and the Minotaur surely gave chase. She hoped to lose the great beast, but he was hot on her tail. Not even her spells could keep him away.
