Mara continued pelting the Minotaur with Aqua Shots despite being chased by him. Each spell had dealt a bit of damage to the brute, but it wasn't enough to slow him down.

"Stop running away from me," yelled the Minotaur, "so I can kill you more easily!"

Mara kept running until she hid behind a tree to catch her breath. The Minotaur stomped closer and closer to where Mara had stopped. "Don't you know that the axe is mightier than the tree?" he taunted. Then, with one quick swing with his Vastira, the giant decimated the tall tree.

The water mage felt nothing but chills all over her body and began sprinting once again. She kept running until she made it back to Mount Seawatch. After that, she leapt onto the mountain and began firing away.

"It's no use, Minotaur!" jeered Mara. "This mountain is your greatest weakness!"

"Watch your mouth, shrimp!" the Minotaur retorted. "Just because I can't scale mountains doesn't mean I can tear you apart!"

"Is that really all you know?" asked the water mage. "Why can't you just be a nice person and help all the good people in Magius?"

"It's because of their puny minds," the brute answered. "They can't handle this raw power."

After trying to talk some sense into him, Mara realized that the Minotaur was far beyond saving. He already built a reputation as a notorious criminal, and he was too dangerous to live among the innocent.

The two continued fighting until a couple of wizards came by and noticed what was going on. They offered to help Mara with the fight, but she refused, for she didn't want them to suffer as much as she had. The wizards chimed in regardless and distracted the Minotaur for a little bit.

"Why? Why are you helping me?" Mara whimpered as she took some time to refill her magic energy. "There are others who could use your help, so why are you helping me?"

"We're nice people," answered one of the wizards. "We offer assistance whenever we can."

The wizards put up a great fight, but the Minotaur eventually got the better of them. He turned toward Mara and chuckled loudly.

"Your 'friends' turned out to be useless after all!" he taunted. "It's a shame they chose the wrong side. I could've used that kind of firepower."

Mara, all bruised and cut up from the fight, felt dejected, as if she were ready to give up, until she remembered the many wizards who lost their lives to the Minotaur, including his two newest victims. "I can't afford to lose," she panted as she clutched her side, "not when world needs a hero." She struggled to get back on her feet, but she eventually regained her footing.

"Your ambition is admirable," grunted the Minotaur, "but it won't save you from your demise."

"Then there's only one thing to do," the water mage sighed. She jumped from the mountain and stood right in front of the Minotaur, who grinned at the sight of her broken body. She focused her magic energy and unleashed five Hydro Bangs, which overwhelmed the brute and knocked him out.

Mara poked the motionless mound of beef to see if he still had a bit of consciousness left, but he didn't budge. "I-I did it," the water mage panted. She began to feel dizzy as she noticed a group of Magic Council scouts rushing toward her.

"Are you okay, miss?" asked one of the scouts. The water mage couldn't respond and fell on top of the Minotaur. The next thing she saw was the same scout giving orders to the other scouts, but she couldn't understand them as she faded in and out of consciousness. The last thing she heard was "Careful, she's battered up," before shutting down.
