It was Wednesday afternoon, almost four PM. Beca quickly shoved her books in her bag and took off running towards the library. She slid into "her chair" at "her table" and got situated just in time. She nonchalantly glanced up to see the gorgeous redhead take another open chair at her table. The girl smiled at her as she slid her bag onto the table to get out her books. Beca flashed her a quick but shy smile back before ducking her head back down to her studies.

Anyone who knew Beca at all knew that she didn't really study. Beca wasn't about books. Beca was about music. While she had textbooks around her for show, what she was really doing was doodling and writing song lyrics. The first time she saw the redhead in the library was a fluke. Beca hardly ever spent time in the library, but after seeing the redhead, she came back every day at that time hoping to see her.

She finally figured out just when the girl showed up and always managed to get there right before her to secure a table. Beca hadn't gotten the nerves to talk to the redhead although she always gave Beca a mega-watt smile. So instead of talking to the woman, Beca just snuck glimpses of her while they both worked. She was mesmerized by the girl's tortoiseshell reading glasses and couldn't decide if she was cuter with them off or on.

Beca noticed the girl was always munching on candy. Today it was Skittles. Suddenly the redhead's head popped up from her book, her eyes focusing on Beca, smiling. She seemed to be always smiling. Beca felt the heat rising up her neck to her face. She'd been busted staring. Beca's eyes snapped back down to the open book she wasn't reading.

She could tell out of the corner of the eye that the woman was writing something on a sticky note. She put the note on an open package of Skittles and slid it towards Beca. Beca raised her eyebrows in question and put her hand to her chest as if to ask, "me?" The redhead nodded.

Beca read the note. Want to be friends? Take some. Beca looked up to see the redhead smiling at her. She shyly dumped out a small pile and pushed the bag back. This seemed to please the girl. Beca grinned sheepishly and ducked her head back down to continue the song she was writing.

It didn't take long for Beca to finish the few Skittles she'd taken. Soon, the redhead pushed her tortoiseshell glasses, the Skittles, and another note across the table. Beca read the note and looked at the redhead who was smirking. Want some more? Wear my glasses. "What the hell," Beca thought. She put on the glasses and immediately slammed her eyes shut because her vision had suddenly become so distorted.

Beca immediately took off the glasses and frowned at the redhead. When she saw the redhead silently giggling, Beca grabbed the bag of Skittles and poured more into her hand. She pushed the bag back across the table, trying to act grumpy but failing miserably.

About the time Beca popped her last Skittle into her mouth, here came the bag again with yet another note. Want to see me fly? Take some more. Beca looked at the redhead with a doubtful look. The redhead's face was solemn as she nodded her head. Beca shrugged her shoulders, poured three Skittles from the bag, and popped them into her mouth. She crossed her arms and waited for the other girl to fly.

The redhead pulled her arms into her chest and put her head down in the crease of her open book. Keeping her elbows tucked in, she started quickly fluttering her forearms and fingers. As she continued this, she slowly lifted her head out of her book like she was flying. Both girls burst out laughing. "Shhhhh" someone sitting at a nearby table complained.

Once they both calmed down, the redhead slid over another note with the bag. When Beca read the note, she grinned and poured a mouthful of Skittles into her hand. The redhead beamed. The two girls gathered their belongings and left the library.

When the librarian was cleaning up later that night, she came across the final note the redhead had written. Pizza? Take some more.

Random prompt I saw on Tumblr from 11/2019! Write a Bechloe fic based on the Cadbury Milk Library Film series on YouTube. Search YouTube for Cadbury Milk Library Film. I used the first three in this fic.

While I LOVE this type of Cadbury chocolate, we sadly cannot get it in the USA so I went with something more familiar to the USA readers.
