I finished another crossover, but the main cast is Ace, Sabo, Marco and Midoriya. Should I post that one before a crossover where Luffy is OP but at a different school than UA and features baby Luffy who adores Hawks? Enjoy~
A week later was when they were told to study for the final exams. It felt like they just took the midterm, so this sucked. Luffy looked forward to whatever the practical exam was, though. He hadn't gotten the best score on the midterm, at number 10, but he still passed just fine. Zoro got 9 and Sanji got 6.
After the homeroom teacher left the room after announcing for them to get ready for the finals, the class started talking about how they weren't studying, forming study groups. But that was for the written test. Nobody was talking about training their bodies and quirks. So they either weren't thinking about it or they already had plans laid out.
Then Midoriya came over, and asked if he could train with them. Since they were the strongest and Luffy had a training room at the Whitebeards, he would be a good person to fight with. Luffy honestly said, "I don't know if you'd come out uninjured. Plus, the training room is for the Whitebeards only." He was told about Sanji and Zoro. "They're my p- best friends," he said, barely able to catch himself before calling them his pack. "So, everyone sees them as family, too."
"What about at a public place?" Midoriya pressed. But Luffy didn't waver, though he gave a sympathetic look.
"I think you would be too sore or in pain from doing it only next week. If it were in three months or something like that, then maybe, so your body could get used to our fighting. But a week is way too short," he said, sounding apologetic.
Uraraka offered to help Midoriya out with the training she'd gotten from Gunhead, where she was an intern. He was good at physical fighting, so she chose him to get stronger in that aspect, Midoriya thanked her, but didn't sound too into it. Uraraka wasn't a good enough fighter to really do any help.
Iida offered to help him out. It seemed multiple people heard Luffy turn him down and were trying to cheer him up. Nobody noticed Zoro scratching his back a lot. He kept feeling the new bumps. Sanji did, too. They were both having it. And their wings would have feathers as well, since they were coming out, so no leather bat wings.
Both of them were happy about that. Feathered wings would be so much cooler. Todoroki asked Zoro and Sanji if they were okay, since they looked so focused at their desks. Sanji said they were fine. Just distracted with some things.
"Ooh, what, what?" Ashido asked.
"None of your business," Zoro replied, leaning back in his chair and looking at the ceiling. "I'm taking a nap," he said with a yawn. He put in his own earbuds and fell asleep almost immediately. Ashido asked how he fell asleep so easily.
Luffy and Sanji shrugged, saying he had always been like that. Todoroki didn't look satisfied with the answer, but it was hard to tell if Luffy wasn't seeing things. Was he suspicious? He had to be, he overheard them at USJ talking about weird things. He didn't know what it was about, but knew it was odd regardless. But he really hadn't said a word to anybody including the trio.
At lunch, the three sat alone. They were acting weird, they knew that. And they seemed to be being completely silent even though they were having a conversation about training. Luffy told them about Marco's reaction to them forming wings, no matter how long it took.
When Todoroki suddenly sat down, Luffy accidentally stabbed his fork into his hand. He pretended like nothing happened and put that hand down on his lap. Then he heard a weird sizzling sound. He looked down and saw the drop of his blood burned a hole through the seat cushion.
My blood just burned a hole in the seat cushion.
Yay. More surprises.
"Are you guys okay? Is it about the Stain incident?" Todoroki asked, sounding concerned. Zoro and Sanji blinked before Zoro said it was about that. Sanji went along with it. Better to have a convenient lie than have him try to pry anymore. Zoro didn't tell the truth because they already dealt with enough shit.
If they had to look "weak" for this, then sobeit. Todoroki said they barely got to fight at all because Stain suddenly had a seizure. But he looked at Sanji strangely. "What?" he asked in a pretty flat voice.
"I'm just wondering why you didn't get paralyzed when he licked your blood." Sanji laid his face down.
"I don't know. Maybe I was just the right blood type. Or his power let up when he was unconscious. Iida stood up after that, too. I may have just been lucky," Sanji replied honestly. They didn't know what had happened. Why he foamed at the mouth. Todoroki said that was possible. Luffy was focusing on the blood. It was gone now.
He wanted to try something. He still had some of it on his finger and pressed it to Sanji's arm. He looked at Luffy in confusion. My blood doesn't burn you.
Well, then maybe we are turning into demons. Or whatever you are. It's not a big deal, my mom knows I'm weird and have no explanation. Zoro agreed with that while he simultaneously talked with Todoroki about what he thought the final would be.
"I think it will be against heroes. Everyone else thinks it's bots again, but we've dealt with them twice already. It wouldn't make sense." Zoro grumbled he probably wouldn't be able to use his swords, even if he was against a capable hero. Sanji said that was probably going to be the case. Blades were deadly. "I'd use the blunt side! I have perfect control, I won't kill anybody."
Luffy nodded, saying Zoro knew how to do blunt attacks with the back of his swords. Todoroki asked if any of the scars Luffy had that he was hiding were from Zoro slicing him. Zoro got extremely angry at that. "Calm down, it's a valid question," Luffy said with a frown. Zoro scowled.
"I don't hurt Luffy, or Sanji," Zoro said firmly. Todoroki said he hadn't meant to be rude or offend him.
Luffy didn't supply him with the real answer, as there was none. It was a lie. Todoroki was being kind of nosy by now, when he asked Zoro why he got tattoos so young. "Because I thought they'd be cool. When I'm older I'll be able to show them. Now, everyone would have a hissy fit."
"Didn't they hurt? They were big and filled out. And also on the spine, that had to be painful." Zoro said they burned, but not too bad. It took multiple sessions. "Your dad could get into serious trouble for that."
"Well then it's a good thing he's AWOL, isn't it? Nobody will get in trouble for it. Besides, I asked for them," Zoro replied, lying as well. The three of them never had to lie this much before coming to this class.
How do we get him to go away? Zoro asked.
Be polite, we can talk to each other in private another time. Literally, at any time, Sanji replied. They had gone silent again.
Todoroki looked taken aback again when they all fell silent. "Can you guys share thoughts or something? And that's why you just go so silent sometimes?" Luffy said they couldn't have an extra quirk like that. "Then why do you go silent?"
Zoro stood up and left. "Oi, Zoro!" Sanji called. He just kept walking away, dumping his food in the trash. "Damn, he's moody today," the blonde said. Todoroki said he was sorry for being nosy. He was just curious and didn't get curious much. "Is it about the USJ incident? What you overheard?"
"Yeah."
Luffy said, "It's private, we're not going to talk about that." Simple and true. "We can be friends, like I said at the sports festival. But we're not going to go in detail about anything regarding that conversation."
Todoroki nodded, and said he wished he could train with them to prepare. Luffy pointed out he had Endeavor. Or at least other people at the agency. "Nobody has ever fought me all out like you had. Even Endeavor's beatings weren't that intense." They didn't comment on the casual mention of child abuse.
"So you want to train by having me beat the shit out of you again? Even if we did, it wouldn't be at the agency and there would be no Recovery Girl to fix either of us up afterwards," Luffy replied. Todoroki nodded, saying he was aware of that. "Besides, you're one of the top in the class. Got in through recommendation and have a super quirk. Two quirks. You're already one of the strongest."
Todoroki didn't sound mopy or whiny when he pointed out the three of them were the top of the class. And Bakugo was impossible to work or get along with. Luffy looked at him long and hard. "Fine. I'll fight with you. But I won't be using my claws. Sanji, would you fight him, too?"
Sanji was very surprised. "I mean, I could try. I don't want to break any bones, though. Zoro would be merciless, too." Todoroki said he wanted to learn hand on hand. Luffy used that the most out of all of them. "So Luffy would be the main fighter?" Todoroki said if that was okay.
The smallest of the group said, "You'll have a lot of bruises." Todoroki said he knew that. And hopefully he'd give Luffy some bruises, too. Luffy grinned and slapped his hand. "You got a deal. Today after class at Hana Park. Be ready for a beat down." Todoroki gave a small smile, and Zoro walked back over, huffing and sat down without a word.
When they got back to class, Bakugo threatened Midoriya and told him he hated him, and that he'd show he was better. "Bakugo, you saying 'I'll kill you' has lost all meaning if you say it 50 times a day," Zoro said, feet on his desk. Iida yelled at him to take them down. Zoro was in a really bad mood, and Luffy worried it was because of the wings and blood. Was he upset with him?
Zoro, why are you so mad? Is it about anything regarding me?
No. It has nothing to do with you or any of the demon attributes. I got in a fight with my mom. It's nothing major, but it pissed me off. Sanji asked what it was about. She wants to move further from where we live now. I'd have to take a longer train ride that way.
But you won't switch schools, right?
No. She didn't say anything about that. I just don't want to go through the hassle of packing all my shit up and then taking it out again.
We could help you with that, Luffy offered. They were all strong, Luffy could be a great help.
I guess. Still irritated. At least it would be a bigger house. Besides, whenever we want to hang out, you can just come get me, Zoro pointed out. That was true. But Luffy felt Zoro was upset more about something other than that. He and his mom didn't get along well. Never had, but it had only gotten worse with age.
Sanji also wasn't as good with his mom as he had been. But neither of them wanted to talk about that stuff, so Luffy tried his best not to seem nosy.
Bakugo was steaming at him, but Zoro just gave him an amused smile. Bakugo turned away and stomped out of the room as it was time to go home. Luffy went home first to change into exercise clothes and then met Todoroki at the park after dropping Sanji and Zoro off a ways through a portal so they didn't arrive all at the same time. Luffy was irritated to find there were multiple people from the class who were there to watch. "I didn't invite them," Todoroki said.
Luffy scowled. If he beat down Todoroki, then they'd all react badly again. "Fight on!" Midoriya said. This was supposed to be private training. Luffy was pissed. Zoro told him to calm down. "I know. I just didn't want an audience."
"Oi! Go home!" Zoro shouted. "Shoo, Luffy doesn't want to fight in front of you all again."
"Awwww, c'mon! Let us watch!" Kirishima shouted. Luffy walked forward to Todoroki and grabbed him around the waist before flying off with him, much to everyone's anger and annoyance. Luffy landed them at a part of the park pretty far from where they had been.
"Did you stretch?"
"Yeah."
Luffy put up his fists. "I've changed my mind. I'm not going to beat you down, I'm gonna try and show you moves. And perhaps give you some bruises." Todoroki nodded, and Luffy taught him the easiest moves, along with blocking, kicking and punching. Ducking and dodging. It was all simple stuff, but he caught on easily and lasted a couple seconds in a serious fight.
Luffy got a punch in on his face and then a kick in the side. He was going easy, not using his claws and not planning on breaking any bones. They trained for a good two hours, and by the end, both of them were very tired. Zoro and Sanji had made it over and were sitting against trees. Sanji watching and Zoro sleeping.
They did the same thing the next day, and the day after. The class kept bugging him about seeing any progress from Todoroki, but Luffy gave nothing away, still pissy about them all showing up at the park without even being invited.
By the end of the week, Todoroki was covered in bruises. And apparently Endeavor got really angry about it, demanding to know who beat him up. They didn't train the next week since three days were spent on the final written exam that they studied for. Zoro had asked Luffy for an answer in their heads but Sanji scolded him, telling him not to misuse that ability.
Zoro snorted loudly, and Aizawa asked him what was funny. "Nothing. Sorry." Sanji and Luffy held in laughs at that, too. So, the three days of the written exam passed, and the three of them had been training separately after Todoroki's lessons, so they were getting in more training than the half and half.
On the day they had the practical exam, Luffy was quizzing Todoroki on what they'd practiced, not flying ahead for once. Todoroki answered everything and Luffy was glad to know that the guy had been paying attention the whole time. Not bothered by the pain of Luffy's punches and kicks.
When they arrived at the building at the center plaza, they were all in their costumes. Zoro and Sanji stood proudly, cracking their knuckles and necks. Zoro punched one fist into his other hand. Luffy heard murmurs of people wanting to be paired with one of them. Luffy hoped Sanji didn't get painted with Mineta or any of the girls.
Nami and Usopp were two of the most nervous, but they were both smart. They could use their smarts. And Nami's quirk took some time to use, so she might have a tough time.
The trio and Todoroki were not surprised that they weren't battling bots, but the pro-hero teachers. And the fact that they would not go to the training camp if they failed.
What a load of shit. I don't trust Aizawa to tell the truth about that stuff after threatening to expel us while lying about it, Zoro said.
Well, we shouldn't have to worry about that. I won't be failing and I know you two won't either, Sanji replied. They were put in pairs, and Luffy was with Kirishima. Not a bad match up, he had gotten along with him from the very start on their way to the arena for the entrance exam.
Zoro was with Tokoyami and Sanji was paired with Ojiro. Todoroki ended up with Kaminari. Bakugo and Midoirya were paired. What a cruel decision by the teachers. And against All Might, too. Midoriya's idol would be fighting him. Luffy was sure All Might wouldn't hold back. Luffy was against Aizawa. That would be fun.
Their match was first, but they got fifteen minutes to prepare. "I got a plan," Luffy told him. "You might not like it, though."
"I'm all ears!" Kirishima said in an excited voice, punching both of his fists together.
Fifteen minutes later, Kirishima and Luffy were walking through their area, a place designed like a simple neighborhood. They didn't know where Aizawa would come from, but were kept alert. Kirishima was holding the cuffs. Luffy was barefoot so he could have his claws out. He was not planning on going easy on Aizawa.
He may have saved him from the nomu, but Aizawa was strong and wouldn't go easy on them. So why would they not return the favor. Once they saw their opponent, Luffy and Kirishima began their trap. "I'll fight him, you go run to the goal."
"Hey, that's not what we planned! I want to fight, too. It would be unmanly for me to run away," Kirishima replied. They got in a fake argument that looked pretty real, fighting over the cuffs. Aizawa took this opportunity to rush them, where Kirishima ran back and Luffy pretended to stumble.
"Are you seriously arguing now?" he asked darkly. Luffy stared at him and attacked, slicing at him with his claws, able to easily cut through the bandages he trapped people with. It turned into hand to hand combat, with Luffy moving much faster than he did. He pretended to take the cuff out from behind him and grabbed onto his wrist, only to be thrown back. But Kirishima was lying in wait and slammed his hardened fist into Aizawa's back, knocking him down. Luffy pulled his arms back and Kirishiam held him down before cuffing him.
They gave high fives. "Your plan was great. Aizawa-sensei, do you need Recovery Girl?" The man stood up, glaring at them before he sighed.
"I didn't expect you two to use manipulation to catch me off guard." They both beamed and pointed out neither of them was Bakugo. "Well, you win." He rubbed the back of his head and his cheek that was already swelling from a painful kick from Luffy's foot. He also had various scratches, but the wounds Kirishima dealt seemed to be more painful for him. Luffy's were a distraction.
The three of them left their area, zero damage done anywhere, and walked to the viewing room. When they saw everyone else, they were crying, "That's not fair! They grouped two of the strongest ones together!"
Zoro and Sanji gave Luffy fist bumps, and he said, "Beat that."
Zoro worked with Tokoyami, whose Dark Shadow came out for Zoro. Not Luffy. They were against Snipe. Zoro used his sword to bounce bullets off of them. Dark Shadow attacked him from behind as Zoro used his own guns, shooting them at the hero until he moved back and right into Dark Shadow, who restrained him and Tokoyami cuffed him easily. Zoro morphed his arms back to normal.
Tokoyami wasn't into giving high fives, but Zoro grinned at him, and that was enough. When they came back, Luffy asked when he learned to bounce bullets. After all, neither he or Sanji used guns or owned any.
Zoro said he hadn't tried it before but it worked out well. "Snipes' gun must not have been very good. Maybe he was going easy on us," he replied, sitting against the wall and falling asleep. Sanji's fight wasn't until a bit later.
"Zoro can bounce back bullets?" Jiro asked in shock. The others were startled, too, but most of the guys thought it was awesome until Zoro told them to shut up while he napped. Luffy started talking incredibly loud and Zoro threw a shoe at his face, knocking him over and onto his back. He was surprised before he threw the boot back at him, hitting his face and leaving a red spot as he glared.
"Guys, don't fight in here, we might get caught up in it," Kaminari said quickly. Zoro huffed and went back to sleep. Luffy rubbed the spot Zoro had thrown the boot at. He definitely was stronger now. Luffy glanced to Sanji, who shrugged. The other fights were forgettable until Todoroki's. Luffy watched the screen with a hard look.
He would be angry if he wasted all that time with Todoroki and none of it helped him at all. He was up against Ectoplasm. He fought by hitting, before he deemed Todoroki too nimble and he formed a huge clone. Kaminari tried electrocuting the main body, but a clone blocked. Todokori dodged the giant one and turned in a circle before kicking it in the nose, his ice giving him a way to get up.
The clone disappeared and Todoroki lunged at the main body, who ducked but was unable to stop a kick to his ankle and a slam of his face into the ground with the ice user holding him down with an ice restraint, his arms held from behind while Kaminari cuffed him. Luffy crossed his arms in satisfaction.
"Why didn't you let anyone else train!?" Mineta demanded. "That's not fair! You're totally playing favorites!"
Sanji looked at him in spite. "It's not like you'd be even near our favorites. Pervert," he snapped. Luffy raised his eyebrows, and told them he thought Todoroki would get away with minimal wounds by fighting with him.
"But you must have gone easy on him!" Hagakure shouted. Luffy asked if the guys hadn't seen the bruises on him when they were changing. Kirishima said that he had a lot of big and small bruises everywhere.
"Besides, I have no obligation to train any of you. I'm not a teacher. I thought training Todoroki would be fun. I knew he's smart and would retain what I showed him. That's all." When he walked back in, Luffy gave him a bright thumbs up and Todoroki gave a rare smile with a nod. Another couple of fights came, and Nami and Usopp's team won, though with a lot of screaming and running around Cementos. It was a miracle win.
The girls applauded her happily, saying they were so happy she passed. Sanji told Usopp it was a close win, but a win either way. Sanji's match came up next, and he had a plan with Ojiro against Present Mic.
Luffy wondered how they'd get through his sound. It would no doubt hurt Sanji, but he'd heal. Ojiro wasn't suited for fighting this guy. Well, neither was Sanji. They were both short distance fighters. Sanji had Ojiro hold onto his leg and kicked as hard as he could, throwing Ojiro at Present Mic was amazing accuracy. He had his hands over his ears, but it didn't matter, since he fought with his tail.
He was able to slam his tail into Present Mic's chest and then passed through the archway. He and Sanji gave high fives, both grinning as they headed back. Zoro's match took the longest of the three. Present Mic seemed bothered, but not for too long before he congratulated them.
"Well, we all passed," Luffy said with a grin. "Though you were the only one who didn't get to cuff him," he teased. Sanji punched his head, telling him not to say stupid stuff. But they all passed, which was great! Soon the match everyone was dreading but looking forward to came. Bakugo and Midoriya. "It was evil for them to pair these two against All Might."
The other students nodded, but Sero pointed out that they might be able to pull it off if one of them runs. They watched, nobody surprised, as Bakugo attacked Midoriya. Man he was an asshole. They got in arguments, over and over, and were so out of sync while fighting that All Might mopped the floor with them.
They managed it, barely doing teamwork. The bare minimum to get them through. They escaped, Bakugo unconscious with a broken jaw and Midorya with an injured spine. All Might was brutal, jeez. Zoro was apparently awake, which Luffy hadn't noticed. "Man, what a dick."
"Did you expect any different? Especially with Midoriya?"
"It's forbidden lo-"
"Nami. No." She huffed at Usopp but didn't continue what she was going to say.
Only a few didn't pass, including Sato, Ashido, Koda and Hagakure. Once everyone was done with their fights and gathered in the same place, they were told to go back to class after changing. They talked on their way there, and Luffy was glad to hear that Todoroki had been helped a lot by Luffy's training.
"You could have won that match regardless, though," Luffy said. Todoroki said the reaction timing they'd focused on helped. More than Endeavor's fighting. Luffy noted he didn't say beatings this time. Maybe the last time was an accident and he let it slip in the moment. Well, nobody had said anything about it.
