Hello Readers!
So last night's new Doctor Who episode! That ending though with Theta Sigma and the Listen Speech. I'm thinking of writing up a little one-shot thing there with The Fighter and him when they were little kids. I might even add Koschei in as well, be on the lookout for that.
In our story the Climax is building more and more. Last chapter, the childhood friends were taken back into the Master's past mysteriously by someone unknown to see how the Master became what he is today, evil. Let's see what else comes across their way and hopefully found out who's behind this all.

Chapter 17: The Promise of Forever PART 1
Summary of the chapter: The Fighter ends up getting sick and sent into an acoma as she is sent back in time to look over her past with the boys as it seems something is trying to break them apart. Who is behind all of this? Why are they trying to break them apart? Will they succeed in doing so? The only way the Childhood friends can make it through this is by remembering a promise from the past, a promise of forever.
The Fighter was brushing out her strawberry blonde hair as her thoughts drifted to memories of the past. Memories of her father, mother, Romana, the Deca, all the adventures she had in the academy with the Doctor and Master and all the adventures she had with the Doctor. The memory of jumping in front of the Master taking a bullet for him.
She suddenly put a hand to where the bullet was lodged into her in the last incarnation, the one who survived a war and thought she was the only one of her kind left. The one who tried acting like a human to forget it. She put her brush down and looked into the mirror, her blue eyes swirling with pain and anger. Suddenly an image of her first incarnation showed before her with her blonde golden hair and brown eyes masked with a fake happiness but deep inside showed a girl who wanted to prove she was useful, someone who wanted to be loved. Oh how Naive she use to be.
She let out a sigh as she gave a smile and walked out of the room and to the console room where the others were. She had a secret, a secret she had kept all this time. A secret she was too afraid to reveal. She would reveal it in time, just not any time soon. She shook her head, why was she thinking about it now?
She walked over to the Master who was dressed in his usual black pants, black shirt and a black leather jacket. He took her into his arms as he always did, it felt perfect. She puled back and looked into his brown eyes, full of anger, hate, envy, lust but most of all deep inside and hidden away, pain. These eyes weren't that different from his original blue eyes. Oh how she wanted to tell him her secret but she always feared he would use it against her.
The Doctor than entered the room, his brown eyes full of pain, curiosity and wanting to make a difference. They weren't that different from his original blue eyes full of curiosity, pain and most of all, loneliness. She wanted to tell him her secret, she was even so close to telling him in the trial back then with the Time Lords and Valeyard but, she couldn't do it. Somehow the Valeyard ended up knowing anyway, so she must have told the Doctor sometime before the Valeyard came to be.
Donna walked up to the Time Lady "You have your hair a different way today, I like it."
The Fighter blinked looking to Donna "Thank you."
The Doctor smiled "So where shall we go today? Paris? Eye of Orion?"
Donna asked "What's the Eye of Orion?" The Fighter coughed.
The Doctor began to explain "One of the most tranquil places in the universe."
The Fighter looked around as her vision became hazy and everything was turning.
Donna smiled "Sounds good." The Fighter started coughing like crazy. The Doctor looked over at her concerned.
The Master looked down at her "Fighter, you ok?"
She stopped coughing and gave a weak smile "Yes, just an annoying cough."
The Master put a hand on her forehead "You're burning up!"
The Doctor ran over to her and took out his stethoscope as he put it to her hearts, listening "Her hearts are working way too fast. That's not normal."
The Fighter coughed and waved her hand "I'll be fine, just give me honey like you both use to do back then when I was sick and I'll be fine." She began to spin and tripped just as the Master caught her in his arms.
"You also forgot that you had to rest a lot as well my dear." The Master chuckled at her.
She began to breath heavily as she bopped the Master's nose in a silly way "Oh Koschei..." And was beginning to pause between sentences "When did you become so tall?"
The Doctor looked to the Master "She's beginning to become delusional. Let's take her to the medical room, I should hopefully have medicine in there to help her."
Donna asked "What's wrong with her?"
The Doctor replied as they started walking to the medical room "She's sick. She use to get sick a lot when she was little but it was never anything as bad as this."
Donna looked shocked "So you Time Lords also get sick? Like Colds and the flu?"
"Yes of course, though it's very rare since our systems are different to yours and can fight it off better."
Donna shook her head "But wait, the Fighter mentioned something about you guys giving her honey back when she was sick before. How many times has she been sick?"
The Doctor replied "2 but counting this one, 3."
They arrived at the medical room as the Master laid her down on the bed she was on just after regenerating into this incarnation by saving him from a bullet. The Fighter was drenched in sweat and her eyes closed.
The Master commented "Looks like she passed out."
The Doctor listened to her hearts again "They're still beating very fast."
Donna looked to her concerned "Will she be ok Doctor?"
The Doctor took out a needle as the Master held the Fighter's arm out for him "Yes. I'm going to take a blood sample and try and find out what this is. Then I will get her some medicine to hopefully help, but her system looks like it is starting to fight it off right now. We just have to keep checking on her."
Donna sat down in a chair by her side as the Master sat by the edge of her bed petting her hair to help comfort her. Whatever had happened to the Fighter, they knew she would make it through. She was a strong woman.
It was dark and gloomy, you could hardly see a thing. The Fighter looked around calling out "Hello? Hello, anyone out there?"
She began walking around as she began to hear crying and someone yelling. The voice caught her off guard as she froze in fear, that voice was her father. She continued walking to see herself as a little girl crying. She remembered this scene perfectly as it happened for a while. Her father would request to see her at the academy at times and since he was the Keeper of the Matrix, a part of the High Council, it was aloud. It always got to her though because he never seemed to spend time with her unless it was something he wanted. He would always spend time with Romana though.
Her father continued yelling at her as he gave her his famous speech he always did "It is your destiny, you are meant to follow through with it. If you do not, you fail Gallifrey and doom us all."
Missy looked up to her father with wide eyes. It was all up to her, she was meant to do it or else Gallifrey would be doomed. But how did her father know all this?
He continued talking "A boy shares the same destiny with you. You both have had a link to Gallifrey implanted in your heads."
The Fighter's eyes widened. Could the boy he was talking about be The Master?
Missy asked "He has the clocks in his head as well?"
Missy's father chuckled "No, the clocks are meant for you. He was given the heartbeat of a Time Lord in his head."
The Fighter slapped her forehead "Oh of course! Why didn't I realize it sooner? The Heartbeat of a Time Lord sounds like a drum beat! So it is him." She then realized she said that out loud as she covered her mouth, looking to them hoping they didn't notice her. It was already bad enough she was seeing her past self.
They didn't seem to notice as they carried on. The Fighter commented to herself "That's weird...it's just like with Ailla and such. We never did find out who was behind that weird journey."
Missy then asked "Why are the clocks meant for me?"
Her father chuckled smirking "You will find out in the end of time."
The Fighter blinked, even to this day she still didn't understand what he meant by that.
Her father put a hand on her younger self's shoulder "Missy, I know I wasn't always there for you in your childhood unlike your sister, but you are my most important key. Without you, our memories would die with us. You are the key to helping us out of the dark and into a beautiful new world."
"But Father, Why can't I see mother?"
The Fighter's eyes went wide. This was just after her mother died, this was the last she would see of her father before...before she had to...She shook her head stopping her thoughts. Why was she here? Who was behind this? What is their purpose of showing her something she already knows? Was it because she was thinking of it this morning?
She shook her head. "But wasn't I sick? I remember not feeling good, so how did I end up here?" She began to walk away from her past self and father as she walked into a different scene. Somehow this felt familiar to something.
She walked to hear people screaming and chanting a familiar chant to her as she froze. She looked to see her first incarnation tied up to a pole and in a white dress that was covered with dirt. How could she forget this, this was the first time she died and it was the most painful one out all her regenerations.
She was alone, The Doctor and Master had already left Gallifrey, she was being accused of being a Pythia and worst of all, the ones who were accusing her of such a thing were none other than her cousin Ailla and her husband, The Joker.
The Fighter tied up on the pole was screaming out pleas "I'm not a witch! I'm not one of the Pythia! Please cousin..."
"Silence!" Ailla ordered her. "First you won't tell us were the Doctor and Master have gone, and now you refuse the evidence that is presented against you."
The First Fighter defended "I told you, I don't know where they are! Besides, if I did, I wouldn't tell you anyway because you would just execute them for no reason like you're going to do to me. The evidence is false! Someone created it and is using it against me."
The Fighter looked to her ex husband to see him actually look scared for once in his life. He looked like he was guilty and bit his lip trying not to speak out against this act he knew was not right. Ailla on the other hand did a good job of hiding her guilt and kept on.
"Lies!" Ailla yelled. "The Witch lies!" The courtroom mumbled to each other. The Fighter laughed to herself, who knew that later on she would be showing up to this courtroom again with the Sixth Doctor when he was on trial.
The First Fighter looked to her cousin glaring "Admit it Ailla, you're just jealous of me. You always have been. Yeah I may have lost my mother, I may have lost my father, I pushed away my only sister and my friends have left me, but I still have the thing you have always wanted."
Ailla asked "And what's that cousin?"
The First Fighter smiled "A fighting spirit and the Joker."
Ailla narrowed her eyes as she yelled "Execute her!" The courtroom mumbled as Ailla whispered something into the Joker's ear. He took a knife and walked up behind the First Fighter.
The Fighter didn't realize she was holding her breath as she remembered this part. The part that broke her hearts and made it all that much more painful.
The Joker to the knife to her long blonde hair and whispered into her ear "Sorry wife but, I was joking the whole time about being on your side." He then cut her hair as she looked hurt by his words.
Ailla than walked over to the first Fighter smirking as she whispered "What was that cousin? Oh that's right, you're all alone. Your husband doesn't love you, your only sister hates your guts, your own parents are probably glad to be gone so they don't have to look at your useless self ever again. Even Theta and Koschei caught on to how useless you were, they fled Gallifrey and left you in the dust were you belong."
The First Fighter looked to her cousin as tears fell down her face.
Ailla smiled "Aw, don't cry now you big crybaby. You really haven't changed. You're still the same old crybaby who is willing to do nothing but prove she is useful yet is doing the opposite. You won't have to live with it much longer." The Guards untied her "Now move!"
They began walking to the execution room as she was tied up again "Make sure you get her before she regenerates completely." She looked up to the starry sky and began to wonder to herself. "So this is where it ends. Me all alone. Ailla was right, I'm a naive crybaby who hasn't changed. Well maybe it's time it happened. I'll catch up with Theta and Koschei, I can't die here!"
She began to feel the regeneration being but she wasn't wounded anywhere. The Guards hadn't done anything yet. She was holding back all the energy to burst so she could run away from them and hide. The Guards were getting ready. She didn't want to regenerate, it hurt too much. Yet she wanted to change, she had to change. She had to prove to them all she wasn't useless.
She let out a scream as she regenerated knocking out the guards and began running in the process. She didn't care what she looked like, she had to get away and make a new change. She ended up running to a barn on the outskirts and hiding in their for a while.
The Fighter looked at the scene with tears falling from her face as she watched her second incarnation crying alone in the barn. She mumbled the names of her friends "Theta...Koschei..." but no one responded.
This is the end of Part 1 for this chapter. *gets tissue* So sorry about that sad scene but it's important to how the Fighter became the Fighter.
1. So what is the Fighter's secret she is hiding? Have you figured it out yet?
2. Who is it that is behind all of this? Why are they trying to split the Doctor, Master and Fighter apart? What's their motive?
