Hello dear readers~! Guess who's back in action?! THIS STORY IS!
I had to take a hiatus break on it for a month or two. College really takes up your life! I also stopped because I was beginning to feel discouraged about this story.
When I first began to write this story, I was still very new to writing. I was basically writing it for fun. I made my OC, The Fighter for fun because I wanted a Time Lady OC. During that time, everytime I wrote a chapter, someone commented or faved the story and it made me feel happy. Everytime I updated a chapter for this story, I felt absolutely happy! I began to think more in depth about the story and The Fighter; I thought about what plans I had for them and began to mold them.
It's funny but, this story has actually helped me through my problems. The Fighter herself also helped me through my problems I was dealing with during the time. At first she was just a character I made because I wanted a character, but then I found her becomming so much more then that! I was going through a rough time. I was struggling in my college classes, dealing with my first boyfriend, still trying to figure out myself and also dealing with a first break up. I would just lock up my feelings inside and let people kick me around, it was terrible. The relationship with my ex was making me fall apart (kind of like the one The Fighter had with her husband the Joker.) I began to push everyone away and locked myself away.
Suddenly, I was reminded of the Fighter. She use to deal with stuff like this, but she wasn't going to take any of it anymore. She had people like (The Doctor and Master) in her life who truly loved and cared for her, that's all she ever needed. I didn't have to deal with that crap, I had my friends and family, the people who kept trying to reach out to help me, the people who truly cared, that is all I need. And just that thought, that one thought helped me through it. The Fighter helped me find the confidence in myself I was sturggling to find.
Sorry to ramble on, but I'm not. My point is, The reason why I'm back here trying to finish writing this story is because it means a lot to me. It helped me through dark times and I hope it does the same for all of you who read it! I'm not so discouraged about this story anymore because I believe it is a good story and it really means a lot to me.
Thank you for reading this if you did. Now onto the awaited story~! (Oh I've missed saying that.)

Chapter 20: The End of Time - PART 1 - He returns again!

Tick Tock
The strawberry blonde haired Time Lady put her hands to her pounding head. The constant ticking sound of the clock in her had begun to gradually get louder and louder ever since the Master was killed. After everything, the Fighter decided to go back to the house she use to live in with Elizabeth and her parents, the time before the Doctor found her after the war.
She thought it would be easier, but no. The constant reminder of the ticking clock in her head, along with the empty room next to hers didn't help. The empty room use to be Elizabeth's room. The blonde girl was killed by her lover who was now dead as well, how ironic.
The Time Lady laid on her bed in her Gallifrey painted bedroom. She looked up at the ceiling as she was thinking silently to herself, something she had been doing a lot of lately. It was a bit hard for her to concentrate with the loud clock sound ticking away in her head, now she began to understand how the Master felt with the drums pounding away in his head. Oh, if only he was here right now. She would lay in his arms as the sounds in their minds would be silenced. They never really understood why it did that when they touched, but it did, so they weren't going to complain.
"Oh...I miss you my dear idiot." A sad smile came to her lips.

The Fighter put her hand to her pounding head again as the clock sound became even louder, if that was even possible. As it started to quiet down a bit to where she could think a little, she opened her eyes looking back to the redish orange ceiling that resembled the sky from Gallifrey. Her thoughts drifted to the Doctor, her other childhood friend. She was wondering how he was doing. She debated about leaving him behind, but he insisted he would be fine. He insisted she should come back here to Elizabeth's house and take a break.
She shook her head, thinking it was a bad idea, yet she went along with it. Why? Just what came over her to leave her best friend, the one person who has been there for her through thick and thin? She couldn't really find the answer to that and she knew it was wrong. The strawberry blonde haired Time Lady looked over to the phone on her desk, she had to call him. She didn't really know what she was thinking at the time, but she shouldn't have come back here. She shouldn't have left him all alone by himself, he was also mourning over the Master and Donna.
She jolted up, ignoring the protests of her pounding head as she picked up the phone. She began to dial the number for the TARDIS as it rang. "Please pick up, please pick up." She mumbled to herself as it continued to ring.
The sound of someone picking up the phone on the other line came over the phone "Hello?"
"Theta! I-It's me, Missy." She smiled, glad he picked up. Oh she really missed his voice.
"Missy? Oh..." He gave a sigh of relief and sounded like he was trying to sound okay "How are you doing?" Yet, The Fighter could see right through his fascade, she was his childhood friend after all.
"C-Can I come back?" The blue eyed Time Lady said with a forced voice.
"Huh? Oh, yes, yes. Of course you can come back. I was just about to leave and go somewhere, I'll pick you up then we can go." His voice sounded reliefed over that.
"Okay, see you soon~!" The Fighter said happily as she hung up the phone. A wheezing noise was heard outside her window with a smile coming to her lips. The Time Lady bursted out the down and ran downstairs to greet the brown suit wearing Time Lord with the blue box. She ran into his arms, taking him into a surprise hug which he gladly accepted.
"I missed you..." The stubborn Time Lady told him as she pulled back from the hug, looking into his brown eyes.
"I missed you as well." He gave her a smile then cleared his throat "Are you ready to go see Ood Sigma again? He sent me a message and I was going to go find out what it was about."
The strawberry blonde haired Time Lady gave a bright smile and shook her head "Yes, yes I am! I'm not leaving your side ever again Theta Sigma, so you better expect it!"
The Doctor laughed at her scolding tone. She only ever scolded someone when she was worried about them. Oh, he really did miss her. "What are you waiting for then? Allons-y!" The two childhood friends began to run to the TARDIS as they laughed.
The TARDIS wheezed and moaned, dematerializing in a snowy landscape. It was the Oodsphere, the home planet of the Oods. The Doctor and Fighter step out looking to see Ood Sigma waiting for them. The Doctor is wearing a bright pink lei, sunglasses and a straw cowboy hat with his usual brown suited outfit. The Fighter is wearing a pink Hawaiian skirt wrap with a flower print, white sunglasses, a white tank top and a sunhat with a pink hibiscus flower on it.
The cheeky Time Lord walked up to the Ood with the Fighter following beside him "Ah, now sorry, there you are."
Ood Sigma stands in the snow silently observing the two weirdly dressed childhood friends. They weren't dressed for the right weather here.
"So, where were we? I was summoned wasn't I? Ood in the snow calling to me. Well, I didn't just exactly come straight here," The Doctor winked to the Fighter before looking back to Ood Sigma "had a bit of fun you know, travelled about, bit of this and that, got into trouble, you know me, but it WAS brilliant." He gave a cheeky smile. "We saw the phosphorous carousel of the great Mingelinga Stat, saved a planet from the red carnivorous Maw, and named a galaxy Alison."
The Strawberry blonde Time Lady looked to Ood Sigma, smiling brightly "Oh, what a beautiful galaxy Alison is! You should have been there!"
The brown haired Time Lord's eyes widened as he continued "Got married, that was a mistake. Good queen Bess and let me tell you, her nickname is no longer..." He raised his eyebrow pausing.
The Fighter chuckled as she shook her head, teasing him "Naughty!"
The brown coat wearing Time Lord cleared his throat, looking to Ood Sigma "Ahem, anyway… What do you want?"
The sphere in Ood Sigma's hand, which helped him communicate, glowed as he spoke "You should not have delayed." The tone of his voice was stern and serious.
The Doctor nodded, looking to Ood Sigma with narrowed eyes "Last time we were here, you said our song would be ending soon. And we're in no hurry for that!"
Ood Sigma remained stotic "You will come with me."
"Hold on, better lock the TARDIS." The brown haired Time Lord fishes in his pocket, pulling out a car remote as he points it to the TARDIS. The light on top of the flashes twice as he presses the button. The Doctor smiles "You see, like a car. I, I locked it like a car. Like, it's funny. No? Little bit?" Ood Sigma remains emotionless as the Fighter giggles a bit. "Blimey, try to make an Ood laugh."
The three of them began to walk along the snowy landscape, coming across massive black and white sculpted towers. The figures of Ood's are seen walking around it. The Doctor and Fighter look at it in awe with mouths wide open. "Ah! Magnificent!" The brown coat wearing Time Lord elbowed Sigma to get a response from the Ood, nothing.
The strawberry blonde haired Time Lady looked to Sigma "You've achieved this in how long?"
"One hundered years."
The two childhood friends exchanged worried looks as the Doctor spoke "Then we've got a problem. 'Cos all this is way too fast, not just the city, I mean your ability to call me, reaching all the way back to the 21st century. Something's accelerating your species way beyond normal."
"And the mind of the Ood is troubled."
The Fighter looked to Ood Sigma with a worried look "Why? What's wrong Sigma?"
"Every night, every night we have bad dreams."
The Doctor frowns and the Fighter looks to him with a worried expression. Ood Sigma continues to lead them into a dark cave with candles lighting the way. A group of Ood a sitting in a circle, an Ood with a large brain, the elder Ood, is sitting in front of pots and tubs in the darkened underground cave room.
The elder Ood is waving his hand over a pot that contains incense "Returning, returning, returning, it is slowly returning, through the dark and the fire and the blood, always returning, returning to this world. It is returning. And he is returning. And they are returning. But too late. Too Late. Far too late. He has come."
"Sit with the elder of the Ood and share the dreaming." Ood Sigma lifts his hand over to the group of Ood, gesturing for the Time Lord and Time Lady to join them.
The two childhood friends take a seat next to each other, joining the group of Oods. The Doctor's expression shows how uncomfortable he is to be here while the Fighter expression still shows one of concern.
"So. Right. Hello." The uncomfortable Time Lord with a blue box said, looking to the Ood.
"Hello. So what seems to be the matter?" The concerned Time Lady asked, looking to the Ood.
All of the Ood in the group begin to speak in unison "You will join. You will join. You will join. You will join. You will join. You will join. You will join." They place their hindbrains into their laps, then link their hands together. The Doctor looks to the Fighter with an anxious look as they both link hands together with the Oods. They inhale a breath as they see a flash image of the Master laughing. The Doctor inhales again, unlinking hands with everyone. The Fighter gasps with wide eyes, unlinking hands with everyone. No, no, no! That couldn't be him...could it?
The elder Ood picks up his hindbrain and speaks as it glows, "He comes to us. Every night. I think all the peoples of the Universe dream of him now."
The strawberry blonde Time Lady shakes her head, looking to them with wide eyes "B-but that's not possible!"
The brown haired Time Lord gives a desperate look "That man is dead."
"There is yet more. Join us."
The Time Lord and Time Lady inhale again, knowing this was going to be unpleasant, yet join hands with the Ood's again. "Events are taking shape. So many years ago and yet changing the now. There is a man. So scared." An image of Wilfred Mott, Donna's grandfather, flashes before them. He was a worried look and is sitting at a table with his hands linked together.
The two childhood friends open their eyes, looking to the elder Ood with eyes widened, "Wilfred! Is he all right? What about Donna? Is she safe?" The Doctor asks, raising his voice a bit.
The elder Ood's voice became stern "You should not have delayed. For the lines of convergence are being drawn across the Earth. Even now, the King is in his counting house." Images flash of two african american people, a girl and a man, are standing as if posing for photos with a satisfied looks.
The Fighter's voice is full of confusion "Who are these poeple?"
"I don't know who they are." The Doctor says with the same confusion apparent in his voice.
The elder Ood continues to speak "And there is another. The most lonely of all. Lost and forgotten." Images flash of Lucy Saxon in a cell, crying and breathing heavily.
The Fighter gasps unlinking hands as everyone else does the same. "Lucy..."
Ood Sigma begins to speak again, the sphere in his hands lighting up as he looks to the Time Lady "We see so much, but understand little. The woman in the cage, who is she?"
The wide, blue eyed Time Lady begins to stutter a bit "She...Lucy..." She inhales a breath, mustering up her confidence to speak. "She was the Master's wife. She tried to kill him..." The Ood look to her still confused "Here, I'll show you." They all begin to link hands again as the elder Ood closes his eyes, receiving her thoughts.
Images of the Master and the time on the Valiant flash across as the Fighter explains "The Master took the name, Harold Saxon. He posed as prime minister and ended up marrying a human woman called Lucy, He corrupted the poor woman..." Images of the Master and the Toclafane are shown, the Toclafane flying across the sky, killing people, as Lucy celebrates with the Master.
Different images begin to flash across of the Fighter in her previous regeneration with short brown hair and brown eyes, calming Lucy down as she was crying to her about wanting it all to end. Images of her and Lucy standing by the Master's side were shown. "She stood with me by his side as he conquered the Earth. I tried to persuade him to change his mind..." The now strawberry blonde haired Time Lady began to trail off.
The brown haired Time Lord noticed and continued for her "But I reversed everything he'd done, so it never even happened. But Lucy Saxon remembered." Images of Lucy Saxon aiming the gun at the Master was shown, along with the short brown haired Fighter taking the bullet for him. "She tried to shoot him, but the Fighter...she took the shot for him." Images of the Master, Doctor and Fighter here at the Oodsphere, helping to free the Ood's was shown. "But as you all know, he survived."
The Fighter bit her lip as images of the Master getting shot by a Dalek to save the Fighter was shown. "But my stupidity..." She held back her sobs from breaking free. "My stupidity got him killed as he tried to save me from a Dalek." Images of the Master regenerating but getting shot by the Daleks again and falling dead in the Fighter's arms, was shown.
"He died instantly...We burned his body..." Her hands began to form into fists as tears fell down her face "SO DON"T TELL ME HE"S ALIVE IF ALL THAT HAPPENED!" The Doctor begins to grasp her hand tightly and rubs her hand with his thumb to help comfort her.
The elder Ood remained calm "And yet you did not see." Images of the Doctor and Fighter walking away from the funeral prye were shown.
The Doctor raises his eyebrows "What's that?" A hand is shown picking up the Master's ring that was green in the middle, with Circular Gallifreyan written on it and the outside edge was silver. An older woman is shown holding the ring in her hands.
The two childhood friends look at each other with wide eyes, jolting up, as they say in unison "Part of him survived!"
The panic-stricken Doctor looks to the Oods and Time Lady "W-we have to go!"
But before they can, the Oods grab their hands again, forcing them to sit back down. "But something more is happening, Doctor and Fighter. The Master is part of a greater design." The elder Ood informs the childhood friends.
The Doctor begins to breath heavily, looking more and more frightened, as the Fighter soothingly rubs his hand with her thumb to help comfort him, just as he did for her. The elder Ood spoke "Because a shadow is falling over creation. Something vast is stirring in the dark."
The Ood's open their eyes, looking up to the Time Lord and Time Lady with red eyes. The childhood friend's expressions now show one of terror. The elder Ood begins to explain "The Ood have gained this power to see through time. Because time is bleeding. Shapes of things once lost are moving through the veil. And these events from years ago threaten to destroy this future. And the present. And the past."
The strawberry blonde Time Lady began to have a terrible feeling in her gut "W-what do you mean, elder?"
"This is what we have seen, Fighter, Doctor. The darkness heralds only one thing..." The elder Ood's red eyes look to her as his voice begins to echo "The end of time itself."
The Fighter gasps, remembering her fathers words of how she would find out about the mystery of the clocks in 'the end of time'. Was this what he was reffering to? The Time Lady and Time Lord exchange concerned and frightened looks as they jolt up, running away from the red-eyed Oods.
The two childhood friends run through the darkened caves, with candles lighting their way out along the sides, and back into the snowy landscape. "Theta! My father said something exactly the same! When I was little, he said I would find out about the mystery of the clocks in my head in the end of time!"
They continue running through the snowy landscape as the Doctor pulls out the car remote, unlocking the TARDIS. They both run inside as he runs to the console, pulling levers. The TARDIS begins to dematerialize. "And you think he was reffering to this?" He raises his eyebrows at her when the TARDIS console begins to spark.
The Fighter nods with a nervous look, "Yes, yes I do."
A light begins to glow from the stomach of people in a room as they drop to their knees. It looked like almost as if they were sacrificing themselves to a god.
The blonde prisoner, Lucy Saxon stands, yelling desperately at the people "Can't you see – he lied to you! His name isn't even Harold Saxon!"
The short, blonde haired woman known as the Governor shouted with an estatic tone "And this was written also! For his name is the Master!"
The light begins to form the shape of a man, the Master, once again "Never. Never. Never. Never! Never dying! Never dying!" Lucy stares at him shocked as he glares to the blonde who tried to kill him. The Master holds out his hands to her "Oh, Lucy! Sweet Lucy Saxon! My ever faithful – did the widow's kiss bring me back to life?"
"You're killing them!"
The Master looks to her with a frown, his voice full of disgust and anger "Oh, let them die! They're just a first! The whole stupid stinking human disgrace can fall into the pit!" He begins to hold his hands to his ears " Can't you hear it, Lucy? The noise! The drumbeat! Louder than ever before. The drums. The never-ending drums!" He chuckles "Oh, I have missed them!"
Lucy begins to stand up, glaring to him "I knew you'd come back!"
The Master smiled happlily "Well, like my dear Fighter says, staying dead isn't my thing!" Oh how he had missed his Time Lady, he had to find her.
The blonde continues glaring to him "And all this time your disciples have prepared! But so have we!" Lucy turns to the guard behind her, grabbing a bottle.
The Master gives her a wary look "What are you doing?"
Lucy spoke to him confidently glaring "The secret books of Saxon spoke of the potions of life. And I was never that bright." The reviving Time Lord begins to look afraid. "But my family had contacts. People who were clever enough to calculate the opposite!"
"Don't you dare!" The Master shouts, terrified. Lucy removes the cork from the bottle as the Time Lord yells in rage "I'm ordering you, Lucy! You will obey me!"
The blonde smirks to him, confident in what she was about to do "Till death do us part, Harry!"
"NO!" She throws the contents of the bottle straight at him as a massive explosion blasts the room apart with everyone in it. No one would have survived that explosion.
The brown haired Time Lord and the strawberry blonde haired Time Lady step out of the TARDIS, staring at the remains of the Broadfell prison with police tape around it. The ground was surrounded with bricks and rubble that was burnt.
They were too late.
