Writer's Notes: Thank you Guest 1, Pozemom, and Roxhall for your reviews! It always bothered me that the 100 was so congested with so much stuff going on. Like I remember watching that season and was like, seriously? I always hated the direction it was going in. I want to say the first like four seasons are really great for the fact the actors all do a good job, and the initial premise of the show was interesting and attention grabbing. I feel like by season 5 it just felt like a completely different show at that point, and the actors started getting tired I believe. It's hard to keep a show like the 100, going for so long. I hope that the direction I took, makes sense, and people like it though. We've really got 3 chapters to go. Hoping everyone is excited to see the ending, as much as I have enjoyed writing it! Be on the look out for March of the Dead, coming soon as a Walking Deadx Twilight crossover. It's a fic that has been requested by more than one follower, and I hope to do it some justice! If you ever have any requests, don't hesitate to send them to me either by PM here on fanfiction, or through email at xkisakex at gmail or yahoo. Both works. I'm always happy to try and give something a go. As always, I appreciate all of you! Don't forget to favorite, follow, and review! Cheers!
[3 weeks later: Haven]
Bella suited up alongside, Damon, Dax, Raven, and Murphy. Bellamy watched frowning. She looked over at him. "If we lose contact, or you don't hear back from us in two weeks, move on to the second stage."
Bellamy shook his head. "I'm not going to arm explosives and blow the base up with you in it."
"Not going to have a choice. You lose contact with us, that means we're either dead, or incapacitated enough to where we can't." Bella said.
"When you say stuff like that, it makes me want to force you guys to stay here."
Two weeks ago, the old camp was devastated. All those people. 22 lives captured by the mountain men after the grounders attacked and got incinerated.
"They have 22 people Bell. Children. We owe it to them to try and get them out. We should have- "
"They made that choice." Dax interrupted. "We can't dwell. Let's just…press forward. Jasper, mic check." He said and then the walkie Bella was holding crackled.
" Check."
Bella nodded. "Alright, Jasper, do you have visual?"
"Sure, do boss lady."
Bella sighed, blowing out a breath. "Alright. This is risky. If you're having second thoughts, it's okay to bow out now."
Raven rolled her eyes. "If we backed out now, we would look like cowards. I know I'm not a coward. If I die, I die. I rather go out protecting this place, and trying to rescue the others."
Murphy nodded. "I'm a lot of things, but what do I have to lose Bella? You've saved my ass a dozen times. Least I can do is let you save it again one last time." He joked.
Bella smiled and looked at Dax and Damon, who fist bumped and nodded to her. "Alright, let's move out. It's a fourteen-hour hike towards mount weather."
Bellamy stood before her now, he took her hands in his. "Promise me, you'll be careful."
"I'll be careful."
"I love you." He murmured.
Bella nodded. "I love you too." She reached up and stroked his cheek before kissing him like she was never going to see him again before leaving and going topside with the others.
Bellamy blew out a shaky breath, and then took the long-distance walkie and hit the button on the side. "Kane."
There was a long pause. "Bellamy?"
"Yeah. Bella has left heading towards Mt. Weather. What's the situation like over at the Ark?"
More silence. "Well. Not many of us left after the mountain men swooped in."
"When?"
"Yesterday."
"Who's all left?"
Kane sounded out of breath. "Me, Hannah, and 6 others."
"Abby and Clarke?"
"They took them."
Bellamy nodded. "Alright. I'm sending you coordinates. You and the others get here. Bunk down."
"Okay." Kane said after a really long pause.
Bellamy sent coordinates to Kane, so hopefully he could get the survivors left to Haven. He looked over at Jazz. "Tell Jasper J and the others to expect 8 people by morning."
Jazz nodded. "Got it." He said and headed to the security room to tell Jasper J first.
[14 Hours Later]
Bella crouched down, looking towards the entrance to Mount Weather. They had been stealthy so far, not triggering the poisonous fog. "Alright, Dax, you're up." She murmured.
Dax nodded, and then crept around, staying out of the camera view, and eased around towards the door. He climbed up the side of the rounded roof of the entrance, and belly crawled and attached the device. "Alright Jasper, do your thing, he murmured into the mic." There was an earpiece in Dax's ear, the only one they had, and he was using it to communicate with Jasper J since he was doing the slithering.
A few moments later Jasper J, sounded in Dax's ear. "Alright, video feed is on a loop. You're clear to walk freely."
Dax gave the signal, and Bella and the others climbed up from their hiding spot and went to the door. Bella held another device in her hands, and she was typing something on the pad. Everyone was silent as she did this, watching.
"Alright, I'm on the inside now. Looping the feeds now." Jasper J sounded in Dax's ear.
"Jasper is in. Phase two started." He said lowly to Bella and she nodded.
She took two wires with prongs on them and then looked at the keypad on the door, she used her knife to pop the panel case off, and attach the prongs. Bella looked at the pad, reading the code as it appeared in long streams.
"Got it. Tell Bella, I have the security system alarms cut."
"Phase two complete." Dax murmured.
Bella nodded, and then the keypad blinked a couple times, and then gave a solid green before the door opened. She unplugged from the keypad, pocketing her device and then went in first, her weapon drawn. They were in an air lock, and another keypad. She sighed, and then proceeded with doing the same thing she just did on the entrance door. The airlock opened and they proceeded through, cautiously. The hall was sterile looking, bright white, and long.
"They have a guard. Seems like there are two patrolling the hallway down 50 ft on the left." Jasper said.
Dax nodded, making a hand signal for them to stop.
"I still have visual of you guys, Bella knows sign language, sign to her Dax."
Dax nodded and then signed. 'Guards around the corner, 50ft left.'
Bella nodded and then signed back. 'Second door. What's inside?'
"Nothing. Go there, double time."
'Double time', Dax signed, and they moved quickly to the room, opening the door and sliding inside. It was dimly lit. Just empty shelves.
It was quiet, and then they heard the voices as the two guard rounded the corner, walking down the hall.
"I'm telling you; he's getting worse lately. We've brought on so many more people, he doesn't see how damaging it can be on the ecosystem in here. It's not like we have the option to live outside these walls." One guard complained.
"Yeah, well, he's going to do what he wants. He's the president." The other guard said. They stopped, and Bella assumed they were looking around. "Alright, it's all clear. The girl they call Clarke likes to wander, but I don't think she knows this hall exists." He said and then they heard the footsteps retreat around the corner.
"Alright, they've moved on." Jasper J said.
Dax nodded and gave Bella the thumbs up, and they eased out of the empty storage they were just in, and then peaked around the corner. It was just more long hallway.
"Looks like there's a mess hall, at the end of this hall, turn right. Second door. You'll go through that, there's another hall, but that door has a keypad. The guards are back at their station. You have about ten minutes to get there." Jasper said.
Dax sighed, and looked at Bella, taking the earpiece out of his ear and giving it to her. He signed the word 'repeat'.
Jasper J repeated himself and Bella nodded, and made a signal with her hand everyone understood, and that was 'doubletime', and they quickly went down the hall, going to the door that Jasper J said, and she hooked up to the keypad, taking less than three minutes to get through. There was another hall, all clear so far.
"Turn right at the end of this hall, and the mess hall will be on your left. Seems like there's a bunch of the kids from the old camp there. They seem to be okay. They're eating."
Bella frowned, looking around, hearing voices not that far away.
"Second door, move." Jasper J said.
Bella lead them to the door and they ducked inside, waiting.
"I want to test their blood and marrow." A male's voice was heard. "Tell them about our sad story about not being able to go to the surface because the radiation burns our skin since we have been underground for so long. Our ancestors adapted to the underground never adapting to the radiated surface. We'll get volunteers for donation."
"Clarke is suspicious already, I don't think-"
"Let her be suspicious. She'll be the first to die then."
"Sir."
"Do it Pat. I'm not asking you to do this, I'm giving you an order." He said and then the footsteps separated, one going in one direction and one going to the other.
Bella looked at Damon. They were quiet, but the looked between them was understood.
[Haven: The next morning]
Jasper J was multitasking, helping Bella and the others navigate, but also watching for Kane and the others. Bellamy came in early that morning to check on things.
"How's it going?"
Jasper J looked up at Bellamy. "Well, I haven't slept in over 24 hours, and neither has Bella and the others. They haven't been discovered yet. So far, we've discovered that they're using the people they're taking for their blood and marrow. Apparently, they're trying to cure themselves. They can't come to the surface without proper PPE to protect from the radiation on the surface. The grounders haven't been doing it. They are planning on harvesting what they can from the people they took from the old camp and from the Ark."
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah." Jasper said and looked up at the monitor. "Kane." He said, pointing to the screen.
Bellamy nodded, and left going top side. Kane was looking around wondering if he was in the right spot. Bellamy opened the door, stepping out. "Kane." He said, and he looked up at Bellamy.
"Secret entrance?"
"Camouflage." Bellamy said and then stepped aside to let Kane and the seven others walk into the bunker. He shut and locked the door back and then moved through the bunker leading them to stairs leading down to the real bunker. "You guys look really tired." Bellamy said.
"Well, we haven't stopped moving. It's over a day's trek from the Ark to get here." Kane said. "Oh, this is Hannah." He motioned to the Asian looking woman.
Bellamy nodded. "Monty's mom, right?"
"Monty is still…"
Bellamy smiled a little as they walked into the brightness of what was Haven. The looks on everyone's faces was priceless.
Monty was in the kitchen when the others walked in. He looked up, seeing his mother. "Mom?"
Hannah turned and looked towards Monty, and then rushed to him, hugging him tight. "Oh, you're okay…." she murmured.
Monty hugged her back, still not believing his own eyes.
Kane smiled. "Bellamy this is Carol, her husband Richard, Terry, Leland, Melody and her husband Tyne." He introduced.
Bellamy nodded. "I'm Bellamy if you don't already know. This is Haven. If you had children on the Ark that came down here, let Caroline know, she's the blonde in the kitchen fixing breakfast right now. She'll assign you guys some rooms. We have space still." He said with a smile. "There are communal showers, with stalls, and there is clothing. Settle in, make yourselves at home."
Monty looked at his mom. "Come, I'll show you to a room." He said and then clasped his mom's hand and lead her away, while the others ventured into the kitchen to find Caroline.
Kane looked around. "This is amazing…" he murmured.
"Well, it's home. We plan on making it permanent. We've discovered more halls as we've lived here. The bunker is intricately designed. It was designed by Constance Salvatore." Bellamy said.
Kane looked back at Bellamy. "One of the founders of the Ark." He murmured.
Bellamy nodded. "We have jobs for people. Some are still just relaxing after so long of surviving the initial drop, but many people have settled into what they want to do to contribute."
Jazz walked in, he had his weapon clipped to his side, and was wearing the old military pants that were camouflage. "Perimeter sweep was good. No signs of grounders this side of the river." He said and looked to Kane and nodded. "Welcome aboard." He said, extending a hand.
Kane grasped Jazz's hand in his smiling. "You've done really well."
"Thank you."
Bellamy nodded. "Jazz is head of security. He does the patrols, and watch schedule."
"I'd like to be added to that schedule. I want to help where I know how."
Jazz nodded. "Of course. First, get your bearings, get rested. You look like you're about to drop."
Kane blew out a breath. "Yeah, the terrain is hard with seven people traveling that far."
"I imagine it is." Bellamy said and then his walkie crackled.
"Bell, situation." Jasper J sounded.
Bellamy frowned, and lifted his walkie. "What is it Jasper?"
"Mount Weather."
"Jazz, help Caroline with room placement, I'll be back." He said and walked off with Jazz and Kane looking after him. He went into the security room, and leaned over Jasper J. "What's going on?"
"Clarke. She's riling up the mountain men. She's acting out." He said and looked at the monitors carefully, watching Bella's hand movements.
"Bella and the others?"
Jasper nodded. "They're still hidden." He said and then Bella signaled something, and they opened the door, and Boone slipped into the room. "They're talking lowly." He murmured. "Clarke believes that they're killing people off slowly. She doesn't trust the president, and that there are children here, and innocents." He repeated Boone's words.
Bellamy frowned. "Children and innocent people? There's a colony inside there then."
Jasper continued listening. "He said that there are a few people that disagree with the president. People that are trying to help. They can't come to the surface because their skin will burn. The radiation makes them violently ill." He said and continued watching the screens, seeing Bella nod. "What about the president's followers?" He spoke out loud so Bellamy could hear. "He doesn't have many. They're just afraid of him. There is a doctor who came for blood samples. There is another guy that stays close to him."
"Bella won't harm children." Bellamy said. "She won't jeopardize innocent people."
Jasper J nodded. "I know."
[Mount Weather]
Bella blew out a breath, thinking. "Boone, is it possible to get close to the president?"
"I mean…maybe?" Boone shook his head. "Clarke isn't making this easier. She came in with her mom, but her mom hasn't been seen yet. We've been here longer, and we tried calming her down, but she's a little unhinged."
"Of course she is." Bella muttered. "Alright. Go back out there. Don't. Don't tell anyone else we're here other than Ashton. I'm going to need him."
Boone nodded and then slipped back out.
Bella leaned against the wall and looked at Damon. "This is going to be harder than we thought." She murmured.
Damon nodded. "It is. But we can do this. Take out the president, take out his lackeys. Save the base."
Bella knew that was the best possible solution. "Jasper." She murmured.
"Right here."
"Have you finished with the maps of this place?"
"Not quite, but there are several underground tunnels that lead out from Mount Weather for miles and I'm seeing a lot of the same tech that Constance Salvatore used. It's safe to say that Mount Weather was one of the bases that he helped design and build."
Bella nodded. "Haven and Mount Weather have to be connected somehow…" she murmured.
"Very possible. We're 30 miles out from Mount Weather, and I have seen tunnels that lead under the grounder's village. That's how they were snatching them up so fast."
Bella sighed. "Alright. Jasper, I need you to see if these air ducts can hold weight. I need the exact dimensions." She said, looking at the air vent cover.
Jasper was quiet, obviously calculating or researching. "They're small. A man definitely cannot fit in there. But you and Raven could."
Bella nodded and looked at Raven. "Looks like it's you and me."
Raven smirked. "Cool. I get to have fun."
"Alright, Damon, Dax, Murph, you three, stay here. Wait for Boone. Raven and I are going up into the vents. Stay quiet and stay out of sight."
Damon nodded, and then they went to work. They boosted Raven and Bella up into the vent, and then replaced the cover. Damon felt uneasy sending his sister into a hot zone, but he had to trust her.
Bella and Raven silently belly crawled through the vent, listening to Jasper's instructions in her ear.
"You're over the medical station. Can you see the doctor?"
Bella signed yes.
"She's the one that is harvesting everyone. They're killing them as they're harvesting them. Mostly grounders. They have killed a few of ours, but I believe that was accidental at first."
Bella closed her eyes, taking a breath. She looked through the grate, watching the doctor at her workstation. She lined up her sights on her weapon, setting it to silent. She exhaled and pulled the trigger, and the doctor went down instantly, dead on the floor.
"Good shot. She was alone. Keep moving, straight ahead and then take the vent to your left."
Bella and Raven moved again, silently, slowly crawling through the vent so they wouldn't be heard. They took the vent to the left, continuing their crawl.
"They found her body now. They're searching the bottom floor around the medical hall."
Bella didn't say anything, just kept crawling.
"Okay, there's a room coming up. The president's lackey is in there. He's talking to someone. They're not armed. The guy seems to be in cahoots. They're talking about the last harvest and the blood samples."
Bella and Raven came to a stop, looking through the grate.
"The room is clear. They're alone."
Raven smiled, and lined up her shot, setting her weapon to silent, and then quickly, as Bella did, took out the one lackey first, the moment of shock on the other guy's face was the last thing he did before he found darkness too.
"Beautiful ladies. Let's keep moving. The President's office isn't far down. He's locked in his 'secure', room while they maneuver to figure out where the threat is. They've got everyone locked in the dining hall for now." He relayed. "Eww, you have like a dozen guard to deal with."
Bella sighed. This was going to get messy. She knew that eventually they would come to some sort of hang up.
"Alright, keep going, the guard is going away from the President's office, but Clarke is in there with him now. He thinks she's orchestrated something. Two guards on the door."
Bella looked back at Raven and nodded. They got over the President's office, and then Bella took a breath, going completely calm and kicked in the grate, dropping down, shooting the guard first, with Raven right behind her.
Their sudden appearance startled Clarke and the President. He started to hit something but Bella shot his hand.
"Don't fucking move." Bella said harshly.
Clarke stared back at Bella. "The fuck?"
"I suggest you don't move either." Raven said.
"How did you get in here?" The President asked, a furious stare directed at Bella.
Bella arched a brow. "Because I'm smarter than you." She said.
"I think you have the wrong idea, your people they-"
"You're harvesting their blood and marrow, killing them and incinerating them all for personal gain, so you can go topside." Raven said matter-of-factly. "Yeah, we're smarter than you."
Bella smirked a little.
Clarke frowned. "Okay, well, we can come to some sort of agree-"
Bella shot the President right in the head, watching him slink to the floor.
"Bella you just."
"Shut the fuck up. You don't get to talk." Bella said and looked at Raven. "Alright, secure the hall." Raven nodded and opened the door, going out and taking on a defensive stance. "Jasper, you got me. What am I looking at?"
"Uh, like I said about a dozen. They're scattered though. Want me to send the message to Damon?"
"Yes, that would be wonderful. Thanks Jasper."
"Of course." He said and was pinging the pad that Bella left with Damon, letting him know to go on to Phase 3.
Bella looked at Clarke. "You, come with me."
"I'm not going with you."
"Are you serious right now?"
"You just killed a man."
"Yes, thank you captain obvious. I just saved your ass, and you are still being such a fucking pain."
Bullets ricocheted, but Raven seemed to be handling it. Bella sighed and then hauled Clarke off with her, going to help Raven.
Clarke didn't like this. Bella was murdering people now. There had to be a diplomatic way to fix things with Dante and Cage.
"Alright, President's son, he's not your friend. Him and his father were alike."
"Got it. Point him out and he's dead too." Bella said, and they rounded the corner, more guards. They ducked back as bullets flew, and Raven returned fire, tagging two of the three guardsmen. Bella took out the other, before they moved. Clarke was running with them, still in shock that Bella infiltrated a base like this and had already taken out key players.
Raven used the key card she lifted off a guard, and opened a side door, and they ducked inside to reload and catch their breath.
"Bella…" Clarke murmured, as she stared at the dark room, filled with cages with people in them.
Bella looked up. "What the…. Jasper are you seeing this?"
"This is where they're keeping the ones they haven't killed yet. They're all grounders."
Clarke walked towards the room, Raven and Bella with her as they stared. "All these people…" she murmured.
"There's at least thirty or forty grounders." Bella said. "Jasper how are the cages locked?"
"Checking." He said and was silent for a while. "Alright, there's a rear exit to this room. Want me to release them?"
Bella walked up to a cage, looking at the girl inside. "I'm Bella."
"Ana."
"So, you're the one that killed me people…" Bella murmured.
Ana looked at Bella, weak. "You are not Mountain Men."
"No."
"Then I am sorry." Ana said, and Bella knew she was sincere. She was near death, lost all her will power to keep going.
Bella nodded. "Alright Jasper. When we leave here. I want you to release them all." She said and looked at Ana. "This is me sparing you. You leave my people alone; I'll leave yours alone. That exit, take it. Get to the surface, and go back to your village."
"Why do you show mercy?"
Bella stared at the woman. Her eyes were dark like hers, and her hair was a tangled mess. Her high cheek bones were roughed up, bruising on one side, and filth covering the rest of her. "Because I can be merciful. I am not a monster. I only want to survive on this earth, same as you."
Ana swallowed and nodded, reaching a shaky hand through the bars on her cage. Bella took it, shaking it firm. "Thank…you."
Bella nodded and then looked at Raven and Clarke. "Let's move." She said and they went to the door. Bella reloaded, as did Raven before opening the door, and moving out, looking both ways in the hall. The door shut behind them, locking. "Now Jasper." She murmured.
"Releasing the prisoners." He chimed, and then the cages released, and Ana was able to help get her people out, taking the rear exit like Bella instructed.
Bella didn't think about it again, as they moved through the hall, on high alert.
"Cage Wallace, the President's son, on the hall to your left, four guard with him."
Bella looked to Raven. "Five on the left." She said and the moved quickly, turning around the corner and firing first, hitting three in the leg, and the other two opened fire. Bella and Raven ducked behind the wall, and then returned fire, taking out the guard. The man groveling on the floor was the son. Bella and Raven approached, Clarke behind them.
"Who are you?"
"Bella. You've killed my people and others."
"We're just trying to survive! We're doomed to a life underground."
Bella arched a brow. "Really? You are surviving. You have been surviving for 97 years. You should be thankful."
"I'm the good guy!"
"Stealing lives from people isn't good, you fucktard." Raven spat, raising her gun, and pointing it at him.
He started pleading for his life then.
Bella sighed. "Raven."
"My pleasure." She said and shot him in the head.
Clarke gasped. "You can't go around killing people either!"
Raven turned and looked at her. "Do you want to be next? I'm sick and tired of hearing you complain about people saving your ass all the time princess. Grow the fuck up. He was harvesting people Clarke. You don't get to stand there and try to take a high moral road."
Bella put up a hand. "Stop. Let's keep moving. Shut up Clarke." She said and they moved down the hall some more.
"Alright ladies, seems like your counterpart has secured the dining hall. Down the hall, to the right, go through the third door, and take that hall to the dining hall."
"Thanks Jasper." Bella said and they moved quickly, alert in case there were more guard. When they finally reached the dining hall, they were staring back at a lot of people.
Damon went to Bella, hugging her. "You did it."
Bella nodded and hugged him back. "Who's the highest person in charge?" She asked.
A woman stepped forward. "My name is Emelia Wallace. I was the granddaughter of the President." She announced. "I don't mean any harm. I did not know what was going on until recently, and I tried to stop it."
"That's the truth. Her father locked her in her room, but she escaped with Ash's help."
Bella nodded. "Your grandfather is dead, so is your father."
"I know." She said, her eyes not taking on sadness at all. "The guard is all dead."
Dax nodded. "With the exception of two guys that surrendered immediately."
"How many are there living here?"
"300 of us." Emelia responded.
"You can't go to the surface?"
Emelia shook her head. "The younger generations can without too much sickness. But those, like myself, and the older generations, can't without getting severe burns."
Bella nodded. "Alright. Your grandfather thought the grounders blood was key to the cure?"
"Yes. I don't wish to do the same. I only want to continue thriving as we have."
Bella looked at Damon. "How many children do you have?"
"Thirty." Emelia answered.
"Your facility is large."
"It is. We can house over a 1000 people here comfortably."
Bella nodded. "Alright." She looked around at the room. There were people from the camp, from the Ark, and then people that had been hiding underground for 97 years. "You're not going to harvest people anymore?"
Emelia shook her head. "No. I don't want to live a life like that. It's immoral…. wrong."
"Very well." Bella said and looked at Dax. "Load up, let's move out." She said and looked at Emelia. "I won't hesitate to put down another threat. What you saw today is an ounce what we're capable of."
"I don't doubt it." Emelia said with a nod. "There were five of you and you took out 42 of the guard."
Bella looked at her. "I set the grounders free that were locked in cages. I imagine they're nursing their wounds, trying to get back to their village. I am forgiving, they may not."
"I understand."
Bella nodded. "If you're coming with me, gather your things." She said and looked at Emelia. "I hope for nothing but peace with you."
"I as well." Emelia said and then shook Bella's hand, looking at her.
Bella studied Emelia. She was young, and seemed strong. Her dark hair was cropped short above her shoulders and her violet eyes held a certain fierceness to them. She turned wordlessly, and nodded to Dax. Most of the camp were packing up, coming with.
Clarke just shook her head. "I can't-"
"Another word Clarke, and I'll shoot you." Bella said to her, glaring. She wasn't tolerating Clarke right now. She had more to worry about now that they had their people released from Mount Weather. The Arkadians were the ones that wanted to stay behind. They were older, seemed more aligned with the others here at Mount Weather, and Bella wasn't about to stop them either. They could make their own choices.
"Bella, there is a connecting underground tunnel. It's actually brilliant. It's completely locked on our side. A moving cave wall is the blockage. I can open it, and you guys can travel easier, and faster."
"Good. Show us the way-out Jasper." Bella said and signaled to Dax. Once they were ready to go, they followed Jasper's directions out of Mount Weather, using the underground tunnel.
