"And as such, this person we're utterly incapable of fighting back against, who desires nothing but peace and progression of this world has some words to share with us."

The introduction for her made her feel nervous to her core. At core, she was still a socially anxious person. Knowing that there were hundreds of millions of viewers of the current broadcast made her feel she might not be up to the task of explaining to them. She could let her emotions loose on smaller groups, but as soon as it became the prospect of speaking to an entire country of millions, even the camera in front of her became a source of immense anxiety. She pulled herself together and started to numb herself so she could think as if she were talking to only a small amount of people. Delivering a practice speech. She flopped it as a child during class in her current life, but she was older and more experienced. More socially anxious, but also more practiced at dealing with her anxiety. One final deep breath and she began.

"Hello, everyone. I'm Ela McArthur. I'm one who has seen many worlds, and lived even longer than this planet has existed. I as a soul, am beyond trillions in years of age, and am going to use my wealth of knowledge to progress this world as it should have been by now. Twenty years ago, economy and restrictions made me stop myself from beginning progression. Now that I have energy stored up, three months from now I will be beginning massive scale changes across the entire world."

She took a pause and looked at the president with a feeling welling in her that she would rather be using immense scales of magic than talking to a camera with millions on the other side.

"I am here today to provide an example and inform the world that I will be doing the same later today once again. After that I will wait for the three months as promised. This project of mine is to bring the population of this world together in key points. I will leave more detailed explanation to your current world leaders to explain. In three months, the governments you know will no longer exist. The currency you know won't exist. Corporations will no longer exist and have a need to exist. Education standards will change to an ideal I once experienced. These things will all change, but arts, entertainment and other similar experiences I've enjoyed of this world will be allowed to continue."

She looked up to meet the president's face again to remind herself she was supposed to be above him, the most important figure of the country she was temporarily in through augmented network. If she couldn't put on her sense of authority for the people, they might not be convinced even with example.

"The example will now begin. I now turn your attention to a live broadcast of your most dangerous natural disaster location in the country – Yellowstone mountain."

The broadcast could still hear her voice, but her eyes turned to the screen beside the president which showed the Yellowstone mountain. She closed her eyes for a moment, envisioning the mountain and fixing it into her mind. She opened her eyes but her mind was still seeing it. She dug out the mountain, converting all energy there which would have otherwise erupted and made the whole of the American continent unlivable for humans without the aid of magic into the form of the Ygg, and the protective surrounding city walls. What was the dangerous existence became a massive city instead, yellow Ygg petals as the foliage of the tree instead of leaves. With the white bark and the white boundaries of the city, the natural landscape of each layer appearing, the camera shook from the shock wave of the magic's effects blowing wind through the area. The helicopter hovering above the location tried to steady again and show just what she had done to the mountain once the magic settled. It went closer to show just how large the layers were from up close, how absolutely massive the scale of the city was. Even a single layer was large enough to more than fit the largest cities in the world. It was baffling as the camera lowered past and showed the population of America just what she was capable of.

"Now your biggest natural threat within the continent has been neutralized, its overflowing energy converted into space that will be used as a city. New threats always arise, but the eruption of that threat has now passed and a wonderful opportunity has taken its place. Please follow the last of your government's leadership and migrate to that space intended to become a city. The capacity of the space is such that a billion people could comfortably occupy each of these Yggs I will make. I will be making a few dozen of these, three months from now. Please remember, this is an example of kindness. I could have lost my temper along the way and turned this world into a sea of flames or drowned it by raising the ocean level, any number of things and made this world what I wanted, but taking time allowed me to appreciate more of the entertainments of the world. Be proud, some of your entertainment was enough to convince me to keep going with the world and people as it is. I want to observe and enjoy more of your entertainment. But no more stress is needed. Continue forward with your passions. If humanity continues needless fighting, I could take back my decision easily. Cease all your fighting if you wish for a peaceful future."

She walked out of view of the camera and to where Kazu was sleeping. The president moved in front of the camera and began reciting the rest of his speech. He had some form of planned speech put together by his advisory team, to tell the people of the country how he was going to put the movement plan into action. Gathering populations through guidance of the military and having the military escort the populations to the city. If anyone watching the broadcast was in hiding, they were to move to the nearest town within the week so to be escorted along with the town's residents. He implied a warning that the country outside of the city would become dangerous because of the abundant energy the Ygg would produce. He explained that abundant energy could warp life to evolve at a rapid pace according to the environment they were in, not needing death and birth to determine evolution of traits. He explained that some people might evolve to have animal traits, and some might become more in tune with the environment. He said only what Ela told him should be said to the populations in three months. Since they had an Ygg early, it meant that they needed to set understanding of the whole process for the rest of the world. Canada would as well because of Ela's Ygg.

The broadcast ended and the president sighed.

"How did I do? Earned any trust?"

Ela shrugged.

"Yes. At least for now. Now just continue your duties until they are complete."

Ela stopped the call extension to the oval office and faced the prime minister.

"Do you have your speech and announcement to Canada ready? By the way, I may end up planting three Ygg today. The balance would be broken and Canada would become dangerous with my Ygg being present, and my Ygg is going to be too dangerous for the average person to live near due to ambient energy being too rich. My family and I and Kazu could handle it due to us being used to rich energy saturation, but the average person could potentially become a landmark and cease living in such conditions. The third Ygg would be the same as the one for the United States, ready to move in."

The prime minister smiled.

"Thank you for remembering your home country..."

He had a meek expression as he said it.

"I was never going to forget our country. I've been a little absent minded since returning to a biological body. Everything was coming together and the moment giving an Ygg to America was on the table, I knew I was going to give one to Canada. I just hadn't been given the time to mention it to you until now. If you want me to demonstrate with your broadcast too, then tell me now."

She was feeling very on edge from her anxiety exacting a toll on her.

"That would help a lot. My advisory team just finished putting together a similar speech to the president's. I could get a quick adjustment done to the speech to fit the demonstration in a moment, then we can do our emergency announcement."

Kazu finally woke up again while they were waiting for the final rewrite of the script.

"...wh-where...?"

Ela sat beside Kazu and massaged her back.

"Are you feeling any better?"

"...no."

Kazu's response was almost lifeless.

"...I'm going...to throw...up..."

She dry heaved. She still had nothing left in her gut to vomit back up.

"...why...?!"

Ela shook her head.

"Don't push yourself. You might still be experiencing backlash. You don't have anything to throw up after earlier, and you still haven't had long enough to process all of my memories and cycle them out."

Kazu blinked in confusion at her.

"...you are...?"

Ela stared blankly at Kazu. She couldn't believe her ears.

"What can you tell me you remember?"

Kazu tilted her head to the side. She opened her mouth, but then looked down at herself as if something else came to mind. She went back to being confused.

"...the only thing I can remember...is my name being Koeru..."

Ela sighed heavily in response.

"You aren't Koeru. Your name is Kazu Kirigaya. I used to be Koeru and memories of that are what are confusing you. I may need to get you into underworld immediately to isolate your memories from mine..."

Kazu frowned.

"Please don't be like that. If you identify as myself in my past, you should be able to recognize the truth through your senses. Just look into yourself and look into me for the proof."

Ela looked around and everyone was confused to the situation.

"...you're right. How do I...?"

She sighed. She remotely controlled her vehicle to get close to the outside of the dojo's door, stood up and moved in the physical space, bringing Kazu to the back of the vehicle. The medicuboid accepted Kazu with no issue, closing and returning to the closed vehicle.

"I'm going to load you into Underworld outside of Kirim as a new entity, and we'll work on separating me and you. This is the only way to save your original memories. I'll have to explain to Kikuoka when we go back there, but that's no problem. The side effect is that outside memories would be brought inside. So I'll need you to stop yourself from spreading outside information inside. Act as ignorant as possible until you've been given time to understand everything inside. You'll be two entities. Koeru and Kazu. Please be careful not to interact with others aside yourselves too easily."

Kazu nodded in understanding and mist filled the medicuboid. She was quickly asleep and Ela heaved out a long, exasperated sigh. She looked at the prime minister and he gave her a confused expression.

"Is your team still writing? If yes I could use a few minutes to write something in and get Kazu feeling better. If not, let's get started on the speech so I can get back to helping her as quickly as possible."

He was surprised still at how she spoke to him. It kept throwing him off that someone who was a resident of his country was talking down to him, or at least on equal footing. He understood what he had been told of her, and he felt the rumbling through the ground when she swapped out the ever dangerous Yellowstone volcano for a city, but he didn't know just how powerful she was. He didn't want to believe that the world was going to be able to change solely because of her ambitions. He didn't think humanity would let her trample over their history.

People had fought and disputed and greedily sought after what another person did or had, and it was still happening. There was little hope in him that people could come together just because she was forcibly bringing them together. They were so incredibly unlikely to get along, that it might become a bloodbath when all of those with the readiness to fight were brought together. He had a sizable disbelief in her ability to stop people from fighting each other.

He stopped stalling and answered her.

"They're not done yet, you should have enough time to do what you intend with your student."

She nodded and got to work. She could sense his lack of faith in her. She shrugged it off for the time being and focused on the priority of Kazu's well-being.

Writing in the program to separate newly acquired memories from original. She wrote in the spawn point for both sets, in the middle of an uninhabited area of Underworld. She opened all of the windows for observation to ensure she didn't miss anything while ensuring Kazu and Ela's past self Koeru were separate. Making the memories into separate people within the virtual space was essential.

She noticed their spawn point perfectly working, both bodies spawning in, two different people entirely. Koeru had white hair, silver eyes, a lethally thin composure and she was young. Ela was reminded how short that life was. How young she was when she moved on to the next. It was distressing to her. Would that Koeru hold her memories of previous lives? Would she hold the trauma of what she had lived through? She remembered the expression on Kazu's face when she said she remembered only being Koeru. The utter confusion, with a hint of fear.

Kazu on the other hand was her usual self in appearance, but she was frail.

She set the speed of time movement to about half. A minute in reality would be thirty seconds there. She made sure to keep track of things around Kirim as well. Thankfully Kazu and Koeru wouldn't be interacting with others, at least.

They didn't wake up before Ela was told that the prime minister was ready for her. She stopped the time movement in Underworld and waited for her cue to introduce herself and make the demonstration. She was starting to feel exhausted.

"-and now I would like to introduce the woman who is going to change the world."

Ela joined him from beside and began to introduce herself.

She realized she recited like a perfectly memorized speech. She repeated word for word and felt embarrassed but hid the embarrassment.

"I am here today as a fellow countryman who grew up and lived a normal life among you. I'm here to provide an example and inform the world that I will be doing the same later today once again. After that I will wait for the three months as promised. This project of mine is to bring the population of this world together in key points. I will leave more detailed explanation to your current world leaders to explain. In three months, the governments you know will no longer exist. The currency you know won't exist. Corporations will no longer exist or have a need to exist. Education standards will change to an ideal I once experienced. These things will all change, but arts, entertainment and other similar experiences I've enjoyed of this world will be allowed to continue."

She nodded, realizing she barely modified the second part of the speech. The end of it would be different, however.

"I now point your attention to an abandoned oil town within the province of Alberta. Witness the change in this heavily desolated part of the world."

She conjured a viewing screen to the area in mind, and began applying her Ygg plan to the area. She carved out the entire town and a significant area around it. She then planted the Ygg and showed it more slowly, showing the scene in detail to give example of just how truly massive the Ygg city was. She continued until the whole tree was full sized, and the layers were attached. The normal appearing land masses within the layers, as if it were a natural part of the world, was baffling to those spectating. She didn't have a helicopter waiting and ready for her there, so she was adding on window magic to show exactly what was happening in that area, moving the window on the other end to show exactly what she was doing.

"While the layers within the Ygg city are bare of civilization for the time being, I could always be asked kindly to create whatever you would like. Architects and designers are welcome to come together to a decision and I would happily create cities on each layer for you. For the time being, what is there is there to protect those who reside within the layers of the Ygg city. This is also a message to the rest of the world who watch – prepare designs for your civilization if you would like to cut some labor time out. You don't need to fill all of the layers, and most of you wouldn't acclimate well to a sudden change in elevation, so staying closer to ground level is likely to work perfectly for you. I'm keeping your lives the priority. Your well being. One final message for today – if I hear of any one of you out there willing to attack others now that you're being forced together in order to stay safe, those people will suffer severe punishment. I will let you imagine your own punishments. Yes, that especially means religious extremists. Any one of you steps out of line and attacks an unfaithful, you will be punished accordingly. We're saving the world, which is something everyone in the world wants, and until now felt powerless against. The opportunity for massive change for the better is here. Don't squander my good will."

She stepped off to the side and the prime minister tugged on her hand to stop her from walking off fully.

"What is it, mister prime minister?"

He had a sense of authority about him, but also a fear that he might be putting his life at risk. He couldn't accept that some person he knew nothing about from his own country was walking all over the built up authority he worked hard for through political battles over years.

"What do you plan to do to stop the inevitable infighting when so many people are brought together? Or will you let people fight each other? Is it smart of you to bring so many people together in these cities? You mention severe punishment for attacking each other, but how precisely would you punish or stop people who try to instigate civil wars?"

She frowned.

"I was being polite in implying people leave it to their imagination how I would punish those who oppose my changes to the world. If you want an example for a more severe punishment, I recommend you take us off the country wide emergency broadcast. If you won't do that to save face, then you're more ignorant than I thought you were. Your current position won't exist after three months from now. It would be best to leave a good impression on the people of the country lest they decide to exact some kind of vengeance which I would of course punish. The thing about punishment these days, is that people recently discovered the danger of being trapped in a virtual environment. This was resolved. However, I have some servers where I could force those deserving of punishment. They would function similarly. Put them in an area where they may or may not suffer extreme levels of regret. Details, I will not add. Let your imaginations take you where you will on this. But punishment will be both time and severity based. People will be let out after they have been deemed to have come around."

He stared in horror. A fate worse than the prisons they were used to. Using virtual imprisonment for punishment. The body wouldn't die, so it would entirely be psychologically damaging and totally the fault of the criminal if they would suffer such a thing.

"So please everyone, do try to get along. I wouldn't want to put people into a potentially torturous virtual imprisonment, but I won't be given a choice should you continue your worthless intolerance of your fellow person. Learn some decency."

She walked off, and the prime minister stared in horror at her. She wasn't bluffing. A person could suffer deaths in a virtual environment of hers and suffer trauma, but the whole suffering would have been brought on by their own actions, their own intolerance and way of life up to that point. She was right, there was no reason to look at her like some tyrannical deity, she was being kind. She was also warning that her only intolerance was to those who wouldn't move forward peacefully together, those who broke her new laws. No death or maiming or suffering within the virtual environment would kill the individual in truth, but the person could suffer psychological damage beyond belief.

"Now, anyone else in call want their Ygg? One in South America would be ideal if any of you representatives have word from your leaders. Only doing two max for south America. The entire continent could become dangerous from just the US and Canada having theirs, and you're connected in the land lock. So speak now, or possibly regret not taking this chance. Also, Nimura-san, I offer Japan a Ygg right now if you were able to speak with your prime minister."

The process went on, and she ended up planting a total of six Ygg that day. One in the United States, two in Canada – one being her core Ygg, two in south America, and one in Japan. Other representatives asked to have a little more time, and the Russian representative said their leader wasn't going to accept an Ygg in their country.

Ela was frustrated after all of it, but she finally had some repose when the meeting was all done. She left the dojo and went right back to her vehicle to make sure things would go well with Kazu and Koeru.

Just as she was about to settle in, she heard the handle of her vehicle shake. She looked and saw someone in formal attire, like they were supposed to be heading to an office for work. She was curious about their purpose there. Trying to get into her vehicle right without knocking away was certainly strange. She had a bad feeling.

"What's your reason for being here?"

The person who was obviously not Japanese had her words translated to them through AR network, and he slammed his knee against the door of the vehicle, reeling when he realized how durable the vehicle was. It was a recoil he wasn't expecting.

"Let's get this over with then. You won't say a word to me, I'm guessing you're a Russian assassin since your leader refused my plans for the future."

She stepped out of the vehicle after slamming him with the door, used his staggering to grab a wrist, snap it behind him and grabbed his other hand. She was moving quickly and imposingly. Her strength completely overpowered him. Another attacker went in after her as she was immobilizing the primary attacker over the vehicle, and she held the wrists of the first attacker in a single hand's iron grip as she closed her other hand swiftly over the neck of the other. She gripped hard, and his hands shot immediately to try and remove her hands, but she squeezed a little tighter to knock him unconscious.

Ela placed the second attacker on the ground, and created a binding cuff around the wrists of the first. She began speaking in Russian directly, realizing she didn't sense AR on them. It shouldn't matter since they were in the AR network, but it was possible they didn't understand her.

"You're going to tell me now, this was a hit ordered by the Russian president, correct?"

He started biting his tongue, her response was to magically remove his teeth.

"You don't need teeth to tell me what I want to hear from you. Killing yourself isn't getting us anywhere. If your leader is so keen on his delusions, I may have to make him and all his supporters such as yourselves the first criminals to experience my punishment server."

"Russia will rule, you will die!"

She heard a gun shot from above not too far away, and felt the impact as the bullet collided with her head. The bullet stopped against her skull. She had a headache and could feel some blood dripping from the wound. She glanced where the bullet came from and used air pressure around the sniper to crush his arms and legs.

"That hurt. But it only hurt. Hopefully you now understand..."

She took the bullet from where it collided to see just what was used to try and kill her. It was the most recent upgrade to the armor piercing sniper bullets. She snickered.

"That even your best bullets are worthless against me unguarded. I should have probably let your blades try and cut me to mortify you even further. I almost feel generous enough to drop your punishment. How about this..."

She had an idea. She grabbed the unconscious hitman by a wrist, kept the other hitman in binds and held onto both of them through the loop created by the bound arms, hopped to the rooftop where the sniper was, and she created a window big enough to walk through with them. The other side of the window, was just outside of Moscow. She used energy to propel herself to where their leader would be, dropped them on the floor, the sniper screaming from the collision. She walked up to their president at is desk and she distinctly saw that he had no fear on his face. She knew he had such composition, but she wasn't going to let him off.

"I believe this bullet was yours. I've already healed from it colliding with my thick skull. Your armor piercing rounds are really lack-luster. I'm considering building a Ygg right now over Moscow. This is because of your worthless provocation. It would be entirely your fault if anyone is hurt in the process. Oh, and you will definitely be the first to suffer the full punishment. You're an example to the entire world! Just remember, this alone will make you remembered for the entire future of this world. Apologies, begging, nothing will take this back. I've known of your tyranny for too long, and it's time it comes to an end."

He sighed.

"You really talk a lot for a woman who has social anxiety. And you're only a woman. You're weak."

She knocked the palm of her hand against his forehead and sent him hurtling into the wall behind him in an instant. There was blood pouring out of his nose from the impact alone, even though it was his back which hit the wall. The pressure she exuded was enough to crush him and he still maintained his tough act.

"You're honestly one of the most disappointing examples of the human species. You had all that power, and the only thing you wanted was more. Your family is full of art and entertainment experts, but you just lust after power. Worthless power."

She tossed a dagger from the assassins toward him, and it embedded into the wall next to his face.

"Trying to have me assassinated was your biggest mistake."

"What are you waiting for?! Kill her now!"

She felt a barrage of bullets start to collide with her back. She sighed and made the air of the entire room cold enough to freeze all of them instantly.

"Even being experts in the cold, being fully frozen can't be avoided from wearing all your winter clothes. That really hurt. I don't care you were trying to kill me, because it's impossible. I'm just going to give you a little payback."

She fully healed herself as she said what she did. A barrage of bullets weren't so dangerous to her after her "evolution", in a sense. She sighed and looked over the room. She decided she wasn't going to take out her frustrations in a potentially lethal way, and left the building while sweeping wind through the entire city, pulling everyone out of Moscow and setting them down just outside of range of her Ygg being planted.

Moscow vanished from sight, and everyone who had been there were screaming from the sight. She reached two layers underground, and created her layers and Ygg at the same time, all at once. The sudden replacement of Moscow with one of her Ygg was a major blow to the Russian populace present. She understood there wasn't any AR network in the area, so she projected her voice and explained the situation in Russian to them. Anger clouded her mind of the usually present intense social anxiety.

"Your president neglected to warn you so it's his fault entirely that this sprung on you all of a sudden. While I would like nothing more than to let you punish him, he needs to serve a greater punishment. For the time being, tell me – would you like me to replicate Moscow on the ground layer of the new Ygg city? Take these AR devices it seems your president restricted from being allowed in your country, and answer a prompt they will give you."

She conjured an AR device in front of every single person there. The prompts were swiftly answered, to have Moscow restored.

"Well then, since the consensus is a resounding approval of restoring Moscow, here it is."

She clicked her fingers once and the city reappeared in the ground layer of the Ygg. The Russian population stared in disbelief.

"Your leader tried killing me, even though I only have good intents for the future of this world. His greed for power, for ruling the world, has no place in the future I'm promising. I highly suggest you all pick someone to take his place temporarily, and bring the rest of Russia's citizens here so they don't face potential danger of the evolution of the country around the Ygg. The Ygg is the tree at the center of this newly created barrier city, and it's outputting a significant amount of energy. Eventually you may even be able to use some magic. Unlikely on the scale I just performed, but significant enough that you could use it to enhance the entertainment your country specializes in, and you could make daily life all the easier. Just work together and be peaceful toward a future with the rest of the world."

Her words made them feel they were being spared from a potentially horrible fate their president could have subjected them to. She was being lenient with them, but her immense scale of magic could have wiped them out easily along with the first wipe of Moscow.

Seeing the magic first hand, made the population understand just what their circumstances were. Either she created an illusion and she was still overwhelming but not so much, or she truly made that imposing structure towering far larger and higher than anything they had seen before. Even the ground layer Moscow was in, was large enough that Moscow's tallest building wasn't a tenth the height of the layers, and it only took up about a fifth of the space.

"What are we supposed to do? Are we supposed to just go back to our lives as we were?"

An unrecognized man stepped up in the crowd, wearing a sparkling black suit. It was a performer's attire. A lot of the population were shivering from the cold. They were snatched from their homes and pulled out into the cold. Most if not all of them were under clothed for the cold outside.

"Ideally, you won't be returning to your lives exactly as before. I'll be announcing the majority of differences two weeks from now. For the time being, just enjoy some time off of work until then. Food distribution will continue, as I'll have my AI service taking care of food distribution. Just take some time to relax for a couple of weeks."

They were confused.

"How is an AI service going to distribute food to us?"

Eq appeared along with another two dozen copies. He bowed and they followed suit.

"They're grown like normal people from babies, so there's no risk of the irrational fear for technology taking over the world violently as portrayed in popular media. They'll just be operating transport and technological services and bring you food. While I brought back Moscow I fully stocked the food distributors. There should be enough food for a year filling your population. I leave Eq and his division of copies to take care of you. He's young but he's just as reliable as any of the AI I raised from birth."

Eq gave her a wink.

"Leave it to me. I'll make sure Russia stays sufficiently sated and safe until they become self sustaining."

Ela nodded.

"Now, let's get their ex president logged into the locked server. He can stay physically in whatever containment you and the citizens come to agreement on. I need to get back to Japan to help Kazu as quickly as possible. I leave things here in your care, Eq. Let me know if anything urgent comes up."

He nodded and she conjured a window which she stepped through once again. She found herself right back beside her vehicle, which she stepped into and checked on everything. Thankfully she didn't leave Underworld going that whole time, but plenty of information was displayed. If someone had opened the door there would have been a lot of confidential information to be leaked out to the world. It wouldn't matter if the information was leaked, nothing could be done with it before her plans went into action. If another country tried to use it to make automated weapons, it would take them too long to make anything useful unless they had the base steps covered. It was extremely unlikely the base steps were covered already. And they didn't have burst technology. Nobody but her would have burst technology. Perception augmenting technology of that type was flawed outside of hers.

Kazu was doing well. At least from a glance. Nothing had changed, but her body was regaining itself. The acidity in her system from vomiting before was evening out, the sickness was gone. She was thankful her medicuboid was performing optimally the whole time. Kazu's body was able to recover. Now the thing she needed to focus on was the mind.

Part of her was immensely concerned with the situation. She didn't know if she should delete Koeru, or if it was fine to let another branch of herself exist. For the time being, she hoped she could trust a past self to protect Kazu's mind. Koeru could also be dangerous to Kazu though. Koeru had a natural affinity with magic. The true trouble was that Koeru was herself at a time of emotional turmoil and mental instability. She threw them into Underworld while keeping that in mind, but Koeru having magic at her disposal could be dangerous, perhaps lethal to Kazu's mind.

The more she thought about it, the more she thought Koeru was dangerous. That she needed to protect Kazu at all cost, even if it meant betraying Koeru's trust. Koeru shouldn't have come about in the first place, but it was similar to the supposition pro-life activists of the world would pose. She's alive, so she must deserve that life. Even if she might not be the same as everyone else. She didn't deserve to be seen as expendable or as something that shouldn't have existed. She was after all, still a part of her own past. Perhaps a part of herself she still hadn't worked through. As Koeru, after all, she had died many times and experienced torture in several ways. And it was early in her cycle of reincarnation.

Koeru could have come about for a reason. She could be there to help, whether it be for her own sake, or for Kazu's sake. Koeru came about from her memories mixing with Kazu's mind after all. There was a strong chance Koeru was singled out by Kazu's mind for some reason. It could be that there was a bit of resonance with Koeru. It was true after all, that Koeru was also a Japanese name, not just from the world she had more time and experience from. There was a lot to consider, but Ela continued the progression of the workings of Underworld. She didn't let anything that happened around key individuals get out of hand, and communicated with Kazu and Koeru immediately as soon as they were conscious.
