Jac was Jac, it was plain to see, she was literally herself again and not the shadow of a woman she once was. Her sarcasm was back in full force, her mind was sharp and agile, she was feeling alive and so was her mind. Somehow seeing Emma fixed her in many ways, sometimes the power of someone who you always know will love you can fix those things that you cant fix yourself, it was magical. The weeks went on and a plan was put in place so that Jac could see Emma more regularly, Jonny was sceptically but Sacha assured him he would be there all the time if that made him feel better and he agreed reluctantly. Amazing as it was to have Emma back in her life Jac knew she and Kian needed to have a conversation, she had been living with him for weeks now and she genuinely didn't feel ready to go back to living on her own and Kian knew this so she didn't think it would be a problem she kind of felt Kian wanted this, for them to be together whilst they brought up the baby.

"What are you doing here?!" Kian exclaims and Jac frowns at him placing her handbag on the floor, he sighs dramatically "You're not meant to be doing anything strenuous"

"Oh shut up Kian you're not my keeper" Jac snaps before huffing as she sat down on the sofa "We need to talk"

"Agreed but now isn't the time-"

"It's the perfect time, Chloe's covering your electives this morning as I've spoken to her-"

"You have no right" Kian chuckles but secretly he liked it, it showed a snippet of the old Jac coming out and she just raises her eyebrows "Fine we'll talk"

"Good" she smiles folding her arms across her chest and Kian hums strolling over to her to sit beside her "The baby"

"Right"

"I was wondering if you want to bring it up at your place for the first few weeks, the last thing I need is the stress of moving and I think you agree with me there-"

"Totally"

"Good" she smiles before passing him a notebook and he frowns "All the things the baby needs, you're ordering it all"

"Ok" he looks at her and she raises her eyebrows "And I'm ordering this because?"

"Because I have to go through the pain and recovery of giving birth to your spawn so the least you could do is buy all that stuff for him" she smirks and Kian rolls his eyes, he was happy to oblige but he was happy and Jac was weirded out by it so she awkwardly smiled "Is that ok?"

"Yep fine..." he trails off and Jac smiles slightly before getting up and hissing, Kian supports her by allowing her to grip onto him "You're in so much pain"

"It's not that bad..."

"Jac..."

"Kian..." she trails off before sighing "I'll tell you if something's up"

"You best do, please don't keep anything to do with him away from me" he smiles and she nods before releasing her grip from his body, she gets up and stretches her back before sighing "Where are you off to today?"

"I was going to go out for a coffee with Sacha but I don't really feel up to it, I'm pretty tired"

"Just go to Pulses then?" Kian suggests and Jac hums thoughtfully before nodding "Look Jac, I know you're still worried about Clayton popping up wherever but I think he's got the message now yeah?"

"Yeah me too," she says quietly and smiles at him "I feel much stronger recently, maybe these things do take time"

"Either that or its just you being in the company of me-"

"Say that again and you'll live to regret it" she rolls her eyes before leaving the room, she sighs before frowning at another wave of pain in her back so she grips onto the wall before making her way to the elevator to meet Sacha in Keller

Sacha and Jac met up for a coffee in Pulses, they were just sitting and talking about everything and Jac was just really uncomfortable so she wanted to get back to Darwin to rest. Of course, that didn't go to plan as they were rudely interrupted by Fletch who just took the courtesy to sit down at the table. Jac was very distracted though, she was drifting in and out of the conversation and really just didn't add any input whatsoever to it before her heart started to race. She was staring at the entrance of the hospital, her eyes closed and she blinked and when they opened again she could have sworn she saw Clayton, she was convinced and she immediately got her phone out whilst Sacha and Fletch were in the midst of conversation and out of fear she dropped it on the floor causing her to sigh in annoyance and Fletch to frown.

"I want to go back to Darwin" she states and Fletch frowns so does Sacha, "Please"

"It's ok, I'll take you," Fletch says quietly trying not to make a big deal out of this as it was obvious that Jac was internally panicking so they walk over to the lift and Jac felt a hand placed on her shoulder, she gasped as she turned around before realising it was Fletch, then it all happened so quickly, the shot of a gun radiating throughout the reception of the hospital so quickly Fletch hurried Jac into the elevator, practically forcing her as the door shut

"No, no, no" she shakes her head as her breathing quickly speeds up, Fletch takes her by the shoulder "Clayton, it's Clayton-"

"No Jac, we don't know that, you're safe" Fletch whispers and presses the button on the elevator "Hopefully we'll be able to get you up to Darwin before full lockdown occurs-"

"No it was Clayton, I saw him, I swear I saw him at the entrance, it was him, he was after me"

"Jac you're fine, you're safe here, it's just me and you" Fletch assures her as the elevator comes to a shuddering stop and Jac shakes her head "Jac it's ok, you're ok and its just procedure, you're safe here Clayton isn't here"

"No, you don't understand" Jac panics grabbing her phone and shakily dialling Kian who answers immediately "K-Kian"

"Give it," Fletch says taking the phone and Jac nods turning away to face him "Kian we're stuck in the elevator, she was convinced she saw Clayton and I pushed her into the elevator, she's safe so you don't need to worry"

"She'll need her pain medication soon" Kian responds and Jac grunts in annoyance causing Fletch to sigh "It's going to be ok, I'm going to tell them you're in the lift ok do you don't need to worry, just keep Jac calm"

"No, no...Kian I want you, I need you" she pleads with him and Fletch sighs looking at Jac "I don't want Fletch-"

"Charming" Fletch scoffs and Jac just bursts into hysterical tears causing him to raise an eyebrow "Jac you seriously need to calm down though, all this stress isn't good for the baby"

"Shut up Fletcher" she snaps before sliding down the wall of the elevator to the floor, she huffs in annoyance and Fletch just sighs

"Right you focus on just keeping her calm Fletch I'll try and get you out as soon as possible" Kian responds and Jac just takes her phone out of her bag before dropping it on the floor "Bye"

"Bye" Fletch sighs before going to sit next to Jac, she passes him her phone and he raises his eyebrows "He has a nerve"

"Yeah well" Jac shrugs before tilting her head back and scrunching her face up, Fletch takes her hand and squeezes it gently "This is awkward"

"Let's play a game"

"A game? Is it really the time for games?" she questions incredulously, Fletch nods excitedly and Jac rolls her eyes "Plus, I'm too tired for that Adrian"

"Oh come on!"

"I'd rather be shot by that armed person out there than play a game with you" she snaps before groaning as the tears fill her eyes "I need my painkillers"

"Are you in pain then-"

"No of course not?" she deadpans before sighing tiredly, she wished this was much simpler and her pain just seemed to be at an all-time high today "Why would you think I'm in pain? I don't know Fletch really, you lack brains most times but this-"

"Ok I'll just shut up" he states before reaching into his trouser pocket, he pulled out a pack of mints and Jac practically gags "What?"

"Put them away otherwise you will be covered with the contents of my stomach!"

"You can't seriously dislike mints-"

"It's not me, it's Kian's child who hates them"

"Who is also your child" Fletch corrects her and Jac whacks him on the shoulder "Ow!"

"Shut up then!" she cries before resting her head in the palm of her hands "I need to get up, sometimes moving around helps instead of sitting still"

"Come here," Fletch says as he takes her hands to help her up, she hisses and rests on the wall of the elevator, Fletch takes out his phone and looks through it "Do you reckon we'll make it of here alive-"

"Yeah you're really helping Fletch" she rolls her eyes and hums slightly, Fletch stands beside her and folds his arms "You'd be useless in a zombie apocalypse"

"It's quite fun don't you think-"

"No it's really not" she states and glares at Fletch before scrunching her face up again, he just doesn't look at her before trying to find a conversation topic to distract Jac "Uh Fletch..."

"Um, we could play two truths one lie-"

"Fletch!" she snaps before lookup up at him and then looking down at the floor, he follows her gaze and looks at her and she looks back at him, she gulps and Fletch does as well both of them realising what this meant

"Please tell me you wet yourself" Fletch states and Jac shakes her head before groaning slightly and closing her eyes "Jac, please-"

"Blame Kian not me, he impregnated me" she snaps back at him and Fletch groans in annoyance as she whimpers "This can't seriously be happening...call someone then!"

"Ok, ok!" he says fumbling around on his phone as Jac closes her eyes and sways her hips gently "Come on Kian pick up..."

"Give me the phone" she snaps swiping it off him just as it went to voicemail "Madani answer your bloody phone will you, your child wants to exit my womb so I need you to get us out of here, if you don't I'll kill you, its Jac by the way-"

"I think he knows that-"

"Shut up Adrian otherwise you'll be next, I don't have the money to be paying for your funerals" she snipes before groaning slightly and shaking her head "It's too soon, way too soon"

"Only by like a few weeks" Fletch mutters and Jac just glares at him "Sorry I just wanted to make you feel better?"

"Yeah because I couldn't feel any worse could I?" she snaps and Fletch just sighs dramatically watching Jac's face scrunch up in pain "Be warned Fletcher you're in for the worse lift journey of your life-"

"I don't doubt it for a minute" he mutters and Jac just pins him with a death glare before closing her eyes "Do you want to sit on the floor-"

"Preferably not in the puddle of amniotic fluid" she spits before softening slightly at the fact she was being really snappy towards Fletch and he was still willing to help her "Sorry just, yeah...help me down"

"Alright" he smiles helping her down onto the floor, she groans slightly and shakes her head "I'll try and ring Kian again-"

"You do that"

Kian was sitting in the theatres of Darwin with all the patients on the ward, genuine protocol and all that but he was nervous for Jac. His phone had run out of battery and Chloe's had to causing him to try and calm himself in response to his newfound knowledge. It was tiring being in this position again but right now he just had to get on with it and put the patients first as well as treat them the best he could. Then he heard the loud heavy footsteps out of the theatre causing him to huff in annoyance and try to quieten everyone down. Glass shattered around them and everyone flinched before he locked eyes with none other than Clayton, both of them staring each other down; Jac was right, after all, Clayton was here and he wanted Jac.

"What do you want Clayton?" Kian questions and Clayton smiles smugly at him holding the gun at his chest

"Jac"

"No can do, she's not even here-"

"Liar, she's in this building, somewhere...I saw her and she saw me, now we can do this the easy way or the hard way-"

"Look Clayton she doesn't want to be with you, anywhere near you after all you did to her. Now I know it's hard and you have a lot of difficulties but if you can get rehabilitated and live your life again-"

"Kian I want Jac, you either get me for her or I'll have to kill you" Clayton snaps ignoring Kian's pleas "Do it!"

"Ok, ok" Kian looks back at Chloe who just looked at him "On one condition, I will go to you. You let all these people go, you don't hurt any of them and me you can do whatever you want"

"I want Jac"

"And if you let them go, you'll get Jac, I will personally get her for you" he responds knowing he was playing with fire, at least Jac was safe now and trapped in the lift with Fletch

"And I just have to take your word for it after everything you did to her?" Clayton raises his eyebrows and Kian sighs nodding slowly

"It's better than nothing, without me you won't be able to find Jac," he says and Clayton narrows his eyes knowing he was right

"Ok fine, come here" Clayton beckons him over after waving his gun around, he presses the gun into Kian's back "Walk"

"Ok, Ok" Kian mutters and Clayton jabs the gun into his back as a warning, he takes one last look back at Chloe and smiles slightly before following Clayton's orders

Jac and Fletch were still stuck in the elevator, she was in so much pain and Fletch was worried she wouldn't be able to get through this. Already she was so tired and almost broke his hand by squeezing it too hard, no one would pick up their phones and Fletch was panicking. Surprisingly Jac was calm and right now he wished he was and that was something that worried him. With Jac being so calm it was unlike her and she was practically crying because of the amount of pain she was in and no pain relief not to mention this baby that could be highly distressed especially as it was meant to be born by c-section.

"What was that?" Jac questions and Fletch frowns pulling out his phone seeing an incoming call from Sacha, he immediately answers

"Sacha," Fletch says and Jac breathes a sigh of relief before shaking her head "Haven't you heard? I'm stuck in the lift with Jac...well not exactly no, she's in the midst of labour and to be honest I don't know how to deliver a baby so I would like to get out of here ASAP-"

"Agree with that!" Jac screeches and cries causing Fletch to sigh "Hurry up and get us out of here Sacha otherwise you'll be next on my hit list"

"There are three of us on it so far" Fletch informs Sacha and he just chuckles "If you could find a midwife to help us, guide us in any way that would be appreciated-"

"I'll tell you what would be appreciated Fletch, gas and air, I'd even stretch to an epidural!" she shouts and Fletch groans in annoyance "Do something for heavens sakes"

"Yeah, I should probably..." Fletch trails off "Yeah bye Sacha"

"Well that was cheery wasn't it?" she questions dramatically, her voice dripping with sarcasm causing Fletch to groan "What the hell is going on!"

"Well if I knew that-"

"I need to push" she states and Fletch looks at her wondering if she was having a joke "If you even ask if I'm joking-"

"That progressed quick-"

"Shut up Fletch and get Madani's spawn out of me!" she cries and Fletch groans in annoyance, he helps Jac out by removing the clothes on the lower half of her body "If you dare breathe this to anyone that you've been anywhere near my...you know. You will be sorry"

"Trust me I don't want to be doing this either or tell anyone I've done this let alone give them the gory details" he states and Jac grumbles in annoyance before panting as she was so tired "Um...what am I looking for?"

"For gods sakes!" she snaps and Fletch looks clueless "A head, do you see a head?"

"No I see a foot though" he shrugs and Jac's eyes widen "What?"

"Breach" she whispers shaking her head and Fletch frowns "He should be head down!"

"Ok try not to panic" Fletch assures her and Jac just begins to cry thankful that he finally found the confidence to birth her child "It's just a baby, between us we've been involved in pioneering surgery and complicated things, we can do this"

"Really?" she looks at him and Fletch nods "You can midwife to your dwindling CV after this"

"Cheers" he scoffs and Jac just groans gripping onto her bag that was there "Woah slow down, I wasn't ready for that"

"Shut up Fletch I've been through this before" she snaps back at him before groaning tiredly "I'm so tired"

"I know but you're almost there" Fletch whispers and Jac begins to push again, sweat lining her forehead as she cries out and screams the entire lift down "Good, Jac, good"

"Is he out yet?" she asks hoarsely and Fletch shakes his head watching as she throws her head back tearfully just wanting this to be over with

"We have two legs though-"

"Well that's ok then isn't it?" she snaps back at him and Fletch bites his lip as his phone goes off "Ignore it get Madani's spawn out of me, focus on the task at hand"

"Ok, ok," he says as Jac pushes again, she closes her eyes and shakes her head before sobbing and Fletch sighs shaking his head "He's not moving"

"This can't be happening" she whispers and Fletch sighs "Ok you need to move me so I'm off my back"

"Alright," he says quietly helping her and moving her so she was now on all fours "This is not awkward at all-"

"Fletch get on with it please otherwise I will do a lot worse than kill you" she responds tiredly, Fletch nods and Jac begins to push causing Fletch to smile and readies his hands

"One more push," Fletch says quietly and Jac nods tiredly as she prepares herself to push again, she does so and a loud cry echoes through the elevator "Hey little man"

"We need to wrap him up," she says quietly and Fletch passes her his hoody, she wraps the baby up in it and holds him close "Hey...hey..."

"You did it," Fletch says quietly and Jac nods tiredly before closing her eyes and humming slightly "I'll ring Sacha"

"Ok," she says quietly and looks down at the baby in her arms and smiles at him "Find out where Kian is"

"Of course," he says quietly as the baby starts to cry again, she hushes him gently and then returns to close her eyes "Sacha...we have a baby...yeah ok that's great...you're kidding...ok yeah I'll tell her...bye"

"Good news and bad news but mainly bad"

"Ok..." she trails off gesturing for him to continue, she smiles down at her baby

"They're getting the lift up and working any minute now as the gunman has been arrested"

"Good"

"The gunman was Clayton" Fletch winces and Jac's eyes widen and shakes her head "Don't panic, you're safe, he's been arrested and they're currently searching the entire premises for victims"

"Kian..." she whispers and shakes her head, Fletch sits beside her and she begins to sob "It can't be, there can't be...no"

"Jac we don't know anything yet" Fletch whispers and Jac nods "Just focus on this little guy here"

"Ok," she says quietly as the lift kicked into action, the door opening to reveal the soppy grin of Sacha and some midwife Jac didn't even know, she looked up at Fletch and then back down at her baby before shivering slightly as they helped her into a wheelchair with her baby, all she needed now was Kian and their family would be complete...
